I really wanted to like this place. We’ve just moved into the area but god how disappointing. We’ve ordered 2 kids meals 2 mixed grills. The food was absolutely awful the eggs were hard the chips were over cooked and the gammon felt microwaved. The children’s tacos looked edible only reason I give it two stars. Bar man was rude and when we told him we’d reserved a table he told us to just go find it? Cmon at least show us to the table. Wouldn’t recommend

Refused service despite reservations. I made a booking on line and on arrival the table was already allocated. We checked the menu and made our choices. I then went to the bar to order drinks. ony to be told, no food or drinks are available, and we are closing. This was approximately 19.30, so we had no food or drinks and no formal apology. Previously I have booked over the phone and on arrival told sorry we don't accept this type of booking. You need to get your act together.

2025 update, as good as usual, book table online if it's a busy period. Great place for family meals. Good food (hungry horse) cheep for big meals, reasonably priced drinks, plenty of seating, can be slower service when busy. Still good value in 2023.

I recently visited The Farmhouse in Exmouth, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely incredible—every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and locally sourced. The atmosphere was just perfect, with a cozy, rustic vibe that still felt modern and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy your time, whether it’s a special occasion or just a casual night out. The service was exceptional too—every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and made us feel like valued guests. Honestly, I can’t fault a single thing about this place, and it completely deserves a 5-star rating. If you’re in Exmouth, you have to check it out!

The food was very disappointing. The ‘child’s pizza’ was awful! It was a tortilla wrap with a thick dollop of pasta based tomato sauce in the middle, none around the edges, so it burnt. It had an excessive amount of thick cheese in the middle which made it very greasy. It was awful, my son refused to eat it and I don’t blame him! The lasagne wasn’t great either - hardly any ‘meat & sauce’ and way too much cheese on the top. The chicken katsu was basically nuggets and a small dish of curry sauce. The peas on every dish were over cooked and dried up. The food was really awful. We politely ate as much as we could but left most of it. We didn’t complain as it’s not the staffs fault the company provides such disappointing food. We won’t be returning or recommending this venue to anyone. The staff who served us were lovely, polite & friendly- the service was great.

Had Christmas dinner at the farmhouse today. We where a table of 14 the service was brilliant the staff where attentive and very helpful. The food was really good The only bad point was the online booking of the meal. It was just over complicated and confusing. This was in no way the farm houses fault or their staff as the booking side of things is done through the green king website and not through the farm house.

Great pub, lovely staff, super menu with lots of variety and great value. The Farmhouse is a regular pub stop for our family. Plenty of room, great facilities, nice outdoor space, and TV sports for those who like to watch footie, etc.

Pretty poor when you go in on a curry wednesday and get told that there is no chicken tikka at 6pm! Not only that but no strongbow either which is the only cider they offer you with the curry deal, wouldn't even let us pay the difference to have a different cider.! then they made it worse by putting the price up and removing most of the ciders from the choice you can have with the curry deal, we have now stopped going to curry night along with our friends

we organised a festive party for 20 people last night, 23rd november 2024. i have to say the food was very good, they got all the meal choices correct, all the food was hot and they brought it all out very quickly, some of the starter portion sizes are a little weird varying from not very much to loads but every one enjoyed the evening. special thank you to the lady in charge last night Charlotte for ensuring it all went smoothly and the staff who brought out and cleared the plates and tables so promptly.

This is a funny one and it kind of explains a little to me why reviews can be good and bad. We went to the Farmhouse 2 Weeks ago on the second day of our short break. Two adults and a teenager were well satisfied.Good food good service and seated straight away, the atmosphere was very casual and we left well contented. The following day we searched for places to eat but ended up back at the Farmhouse. We walked in and sat in the same seats as the day before, got the same service and the food came about 10 minutes after ordering it. The food we ordered was three different dishes than the day before. This time though the food was not to our liking, not saying that it was bad it's just in our opinion the first days choice was better. This is not a complaint and I would recommend using this place 100%. When we left we said how funny that was, for us to enjoy the food so much one day but not the next. That is why this is trying to be complimentary, I will not say the food is bad because I know it was good. Maybe my nose was too stuck up in the air and my expectations were too high. Apologies to the Chef and Staff.

Didn’t know what to expect for this chain of restaurants. Parking was easy. There was 12 of us but the food arrived well presented, hot and delicious. Will be revisiting!

9 for Sunday lunch which we couldn't eat , raw veg spoonful of gravy the rest was dry . Ordered 2 ultimate candy mania deserts half of the stuff was missing as they had ran out but didn't tell us . Attitude of server was awful we waited half an hour between each desert being served and the server acted like it was her being put out . We spent a lot of money and it was all awful . Honestly wouldn't recommend

The food came out quickly, it was warm but not enough gravy need to ask for more , but I was good value for the money, pudding was nice , but had to wait a bit for , overall it was a good meal , would go again

First time in there with family whilst at Devon cliffs holiday park for the weekend

Brilliant service kids even had a free toy with their meals and we all had a great meal. Nothing to complain about and it was not humanly possible to write anything bad about my experience. Also the pricing was great, for 5 full meals it was around £50

The carpets were so dirty .....looked like not cleaned in years. Smell was also very bad because of the carpets.

Stay as far away as possible food was just slapped on the plate and was just warm , crown of burgers more like slap in on hope for best mini mix grill wouldn't feed a child and payed for two extra sausages for our dog so when they come out they were vegetarian sausages so told the server and he said the chef ( that's a joke ) states they were pork well unless it was a 1% pig and 99% grain and wheat it was a veggie sausage. Service well if having to wipe your own table and then just having your food plunked in front of you is service then they need retraining. Atmosphere well they were showing the football and there were families in having meals and the foul language was unbelievable and yet not a word said guess that's what buying beer gets you as long as cash in the till they didn't care...never again
