We did not stay at the hotel as we live locally but visited the restaurant for dinner. The food was excellent and the Chef obviously cares about the food he/she serves. It was presented beautifully and although there were some unusual flavour combinations it all worked very well. The staff need a special mention as they were all very attentive and friendly, especially Gabor, Ben and Kathleen. I would advise anyone living locally to give the Restaurant a try, I don't think you would be disappointed, We shall certainly be back.

I've visited here several times since COVID, for both drinks and lunch/afternoon tea. The bar/restaurant is very COVID safe with hand sanitizer everywhere. All the staff that have served me have been really friendly, professional and attentive, the food has been fantastic too, especially the afternoon tea. The gardens are lovely and there is plenty of outdoor tables.

We have been visiting this restaurant for a number of years when we want a family get together on a Sunday. Previously they have a had a Sunday Lunch menu, but this time it was only a la carte with extra meat dishes for Sunday. Let's start with booking, no online facility, so telephoned an automated service gives options, tried 4 times for restaurant no answer, tried twice for reception, answered second time, gave my booking details including 1 diner gluten free. When we arrived the restaurant supervisor, had a note of the number of people and the time, not the type of meal we wanted and the fact 1 diner was gluten free. Next the menu, starters 3 of us requested lamb broth, reply its off. So no starter. Main course my wife requested sea bass, reply chef not happy with it, so cod offered instead. Still charged for sea bass. Four of us had what was advertised as half a chicken, what we got was a quarter of a chicken each, as only 2 had breast and 2 had leg, If they want to serve quarter chicken it should be described as such and not misleading diners. Finally 2 had plum franzipan pie for desert, they said the pastry was very hard like it had been taken out of the freezer and microwaved, and the crust had gone hard. Overall a very disappointing experience this time.

Three of us had booked for an evening meal, made our choices, mine was the executive chef's Lancashire Hot Pot, all the ladies choice were ordered and we were relaxing with our wine and the Waitress returned ti inform me that the Chef had pulled the Hotpot as he was not happy with the standard of the meat. Kudos to the chef for having and practicing high standards, I selected the Venison in its place and my wife and I enjoyed it immensely .. We returned for breakfast this morning and it was as expected to a very high standard indeed and again the staff were polite and cheerful and to be commended. We shall return indeed.

I chose this restaurant to help our family celebrate my Dad’s 80th and so glad I did. The events team could not have been more helpful in the run-up and very generously helped us to dress the table and set out the cake. The meal was lovely - good choice and beautifully presented and very competitively priced without being pretentious. But what made this extra special was Ric and his team on the night. They were helpful and friendly without being intrusive and couldn’t do enough to make us feel special and relaxed. Highly recommended for a special event like this. My Dad was thrilled to bits.

We visited because we had been gifted a Groupon meal. I always have very mixed anticipation of hotel restaurants. However, I needn't have worried here. The Groupon voucher allowed us a three course lunch and this was a limited choice 'prix fixe' style, but no drink. It was very much three English pub lunch choices for mains, three interesting starters and three desserts. The smoked mackerel and black pudding salad with poached egg starter was especially good as was the lamb with hoisin sauce and pancakes. The gammon and scampi mains were respectively simple but really well done with big tasty chips. As a minor improvement I would have liked a little more scampi and a few less chips... but I always think that! Bread and butter pudding and hot brownie with ice cream finished it off. The point here is that this was simple meals done really well with friendly and attentive staff. On the basis of this it would be worth trying their more extensive menu 😊

Dined at this restaurant in September and was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered lamb kebabs for a starter which were served swimming in oil, for main courser I ordered fish with triple cooked chips and peas. This course was served in a fryers basket which made it difficult to eat, the batter on the fish was crispy on the top and soggy underneath. if the chips were triple cooked it seemed as though they had been double cooked the day before! the peas were a unusual but definitely not to my taste.

Booked a table for 7pm as we were overnighting here. I've been doing Weight Watchers religiously for 4 months so was looking forward to a well cooked meal. For damage limitation on the calorie front I opted for fillet steak. A rare treat at about £28. My husband opted for beer battered fish. I asked for my steak medium well, so just a little pink in the middle but still juicy like I cook myself at home. No sauce or butter. The garlic focaccia we shared as a starter was heavenly but the steak that turned at an hour after we were seated was small, dry and overlooked. Had to saw at it to even cut enough to see that it was very well done. Was reluctant to order another, especially as this was the last of the fillets and I had to choose a different cut but was assured it would take 15 mins which is nearly achieved. But again it was overcooked and tough. Gave in and had a bowl of soup. Our waitress handled all this with absolutely marvellous diplomacy and care. I've never sent a meal back in my life so to do it twice in one sitting made me uncomfortable and slightly ashamed. If it hadn't been for our wonderful waitress I think I might have walked out but she is a credit to the hotel, unlike the chef who needs some lessons in basic cooking.

Went there yesterday for afternoon tea at 2pm.. We opted to stay in the lounge as we were the only couple eating ( another couple and an unruly child were also in the lounge). We had a lovely view of the beautiful garden as we sat on a comfortable leather settee. The waitress came to take our order straight away even though we were early. The food came on a long narrow platter. Fresh sandwiches (a little heavy on pickle), 2 scones already buttered and creamed (I prefer to do that myself) and the 2 most gorgeous tartlets. One was pecan and the other a Bakewell. Best ones I have tasted for ages.We got a large pot of tea which was too weak for my liking but when I requested a second pot, I asked for it to be stronger and it was perfect. The bill came to £16.50.It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The music was not intrusive. Had it been warmer, we could have sat outside on the patio. The staff were friendly and efficient I definitely recommend Restaurant One Eighty. There are very large car parks hidden away in the grounds so don't be put off if you find the first one full. Keep driving around.

Still enjoy visiting here, went for lunch on a rainy Saturday in September with my wife and young daughter and the place was once again very quiet (we were the only reservation booked in) which I don't mind but it's a shame as the food here is very good particularly from the seasonal menu. That said, the starters on this occasion were a bit disappointing; I had the tandoori scallops. The scallops were very small (dare I say larger ones cut in half) and the flavours although pleasant enough, didn't really do a lot for me. My wife's little bucket of salad and hummus wasn't great either. The squab pigeon for main was better though (although the meat was a tad tough) and my wife enjoyed a generously sized short rib and sirloin dish. Desserts were good too; my chocolate and orange combo could have done with a little bit more chocolate crunch (I had two or three tiny pieces of choc on there) but it was still very enjoyable. The lemon meringue basked alaska was also very nice.Overall, although the meal wasn't quite as good as previous visits, it was still very accomplished and we'll certainly be back in the not too distant future I'm sure.

I got steak and chips in the restaurant. Service was generally good, despite some confusion as to how we can pay. Steak itself was nice enough, but salad had cinnamon and honey on it which made it really sweet, and the sauce was underneath it and I wasn't able to remove it. Beer selection very limited. It is clear the restaurant targets work people with an allowance. It was basic overpriced food. The restaurant itself is a standard business hotel restaurant. I definitely would not go there for leisure unless I was desperate.

Asked for rump steak medium/well done. Asked that the steak was not too thick, lean and with no gristle. If they couldn't accommodate this could they let us know as I would change my order to something else. Steak came well done, about 2" thick and not as lean as asked for. The waitress took it back to the kitchen where it was cut in 2 and brought back with cold tomato and mushroom with chips that were supposed to be twice-cooked. I think they had been cooked a lot more than that. The meat was tasteless and I didn't eat it. My meal was ruined. To top it off when we left the hotel someone had backed into our car damaging the back light and paintwork which has cost us a small fortune to repair and no-one to accept liability.

Based on last Christmas Day (2014), in spite of some quality service, a beautiful, festively decorated restaurant and the promise of a great, though expensive meal, my party and I were totally disappointed with the quality of the food. The Chef seemed to be obsessed with smoky flavours. {particularly the Turkey main course). It was unrecognisable as roast turkey and was virtually inedible. The roast potatoes were so hard they couldn't be cut and generally the meal was deeply disappointing. Coffee was served from vacuum flasks with cold milk together with a barely warm miniature mince pie in a featureless, cold undecorated room. Our complaints fell on deaf ears with the usual comment that "nobody else had complained". my family, friends and neighbours have completely fallen out with the Pinewood and will never return which is upsetting because it is our nearest neighbourhood hotel.

I ordered tempura shrimp with Thai vegetables as a first course and they were delicious. My husband had the chicken liver pate which he thoroughly enjoyed. For the entree we both had the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and it was excellent but it's very obvious that the chef does not know how to cook roast potatoes!!! First if all there were too many of them and only two slices of beef. The potatoes should have been crisp on the out side but were not. Very disappointing . We visited with friends yesterday evening, my steak was simply the finest steak I've ever eaten, it was cooked to perfection. I thought I could cook a good steak, what came out of the kitchen was worth at least £10 more than its asking price, a completely different level of food. My starter was the nicest smoked salmon & desert was a play on a Snickers bar, which was weirdly so close to eating the chocolate bar, without the heaviness of the actual item. Service was top notch. My wife & friends meals where equally fantastic. Well done to all the backroom staff who us customers don't see.

Although we have stayed at the Pinewood Hotel on a couple of occasions previously, we decided to celebrate my wife's birthday by booking a table in the refurbished One Eighty Restaurant. This work was still ongoing last visit, so we didn't get chance to see the finished job.The place has totally changed and is rearranged into a modern, stylish and contemporary setting. There are big leather settees (difficult to drag yourself away from) in the lounge area, where we chose from a very comprehensive menu. The food was served in good time and was delicious. Cannot fault the service from our waiter Roberto, good job. We will be visiting again in November before our next holiday abroad. Worth a try if you are in the area.

This was the restaurant in the hotel I stayed in and was well spaced out with comfy decor that was up to date. The staff were very attentive without being annoying and good attention to detail. They placed me alongside another solo female traveler away from the noiser groups in the restaurant without me asking which I thought was a nice and thoughtful touch. I had breakfast there too the following day which was also just as good! Veggie choices were good too!!

Hoping to find a nice alternative for a Sunday lunch family party, we tried the 180, which had received good reviews in the local press. We arrived on time, and we're immediately shown to our table, despite the restaurant being almost empty. Within a few minutes a waitress arrived to take our order for pre-meal drinks and our lunch. Having taken the order from a Sunday lunch menus, which offered a 3 course meal for £16.95, it was only then that we were told thatchers might be a delay, as a large party had only just placed their order in front of us. Too late to go to an alternative venue, we then waited oVer 40 minutes for our starter! The main course had little to offer in terms of flavour or quality, and the Artic Roll for desert was far too cold to be handled by a spoon and fork. At least the cheese board was well presented. A duty manager, sensing our displeasure, offered to remove the cost of the starters from out bill, but this was not reflected when the bill was presented. By 1:45pm, there were only two tables occupied, no atmosphere, a cool temperature, un-noteworthy food and slow service. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Booked last minute at the pinewood, wasn't suprised that the restaurant was fully booked. Although upon arrival the staff managed to fit us in. The valentines menu was excellent. The presentation of food was great, along with the quality. Would definitely dine here again.

Simple and unfussy restaurant area. Food was fresh, simply presented and cooked to specification (rump steak). Maybe portion sizes are small for some appetites but 3 course meal I had was just right. Arctic roll and retro banana split on offer!

I had hot smoked salmon with new potatoes which was lovely, and a cheeseboard which was very nice but a bit stingy on the crackers. The seasonal veg I ordered had a LOT of very coarse pepper on it which I didn't like.

I visited here for Saturday lunch recently with my wife and our 2 and half year old daughter. Although we have lived a short distance from the hotel for a while, it was our first time eating there due to a disappointing experience in January 2013.Back then we went for lunch for my wife's birthday on a Friday with our then much younger daughter. My wife rang the day before our visit to be told no reservation needed, just turn up. So, I took the day off work and carried my daughter from our house to save taking the pram only to be told when we arrived that the restaurant was closed for painting and wouldn't be serving lunch, something they'd mysteriously failed to tell us the day before. There wasn't much of an apology either. It wasn't the end of the world and we went elsewhere for lunch that day, but it left a bit of a sour taste which stopped us going back for nearly 2 years. However, we'd seen the restaurant had recently been rebranded and re-launched and we'd received a couple of flyers through the door so we were considering returning. What clinched it for me was when I saw in the AA guide they'd received a rosette (something I think they could make much more of on their website and Twitter feed etc) so we went ahead and booked for lunch. In terms of the restaurant itself, it's located on the ground floor of the hotel and I think the décor has been nicely done in the recent revamp. The stand out thing for me for the entire lunch was the service. We were very well looked after, particularly by the lady who seemed to be the restaurant manager. She really made an effort with our daughter and even provided a kiddy fun bag which was unexpected and much appreciated. I just found her whole approach excellent and a credit to the restaurant. The service from the other waiters and waitresses was good too.So, on to the food. The seasonal menu certainly looked the most inviting and proved to be a good choice. I had the scallops to start which I thought in every way was an excellent dish. I'd be quite happy to tuck into that on the carte menu of a 3 AA rosette restaurant, it really was that level in my opinion. My wife had the rabbit, which aside from a much-too-hard mini bread loaf was very good. My main of veal wasn't up to quite the same level as the starter, but still very good, as was my wife's pork dish. The only disappointment for me was desert. I had the fig and chocolate; the little cubes of jellied fig were divine but the main part of a fig in chocolate cake just didn't work for me, not much flavour of either fig or chocolate left. But still perfectly edible and I polished it all off. My wife had the arctic roll and enjoyed it enough not to let me try any!Overall, it wasn't a meal without faults (few meals are) but I was very impressed with the food we were served. One minor point was that deserts did take quite a few minutes to come out after ordering; I appreciate they are made to order of course, but considering there were only a couple of other tables in, the wait was noticeable. But it wasn't a big issue, and they did thoughtfully bring our daughters ice cream out first which kept her happy.I was a bit surprised to see the restaurant so empty on a weekend lunch service given the quality of the food and service, part of that may be the price. The bill including tip came to just over £100 which considering my wife only drank water and I had one glass of wine is fairly substantial compared to other restaurants in the area. Having said that though, I didn't feel ripped off at all and thought it was fair value.Overall, I'm really glad we went back and we really enjoyed the visit. We were told by our waitress a new seasonal menu is coming soon and we'll certainly be heading back to try that in due course. It's great to have a restaurant of this quality on our doorstep and I hope wider recognition follows soon.

My personal opinion is..Lovely restaurant good service with a nice friendly atmosphere. The restaurant seemed popular and is very well decorated, nice and spacious, clean and modern. We found the menu had a good selection. (A bit more expensive than we would normally pay and seemed obviously better quality menu) The quality of the food we found was very good. My husband had the ribeye steak and chips, he said the steak was lovely and well cooked to his liking but he would have liked more chips as he left still feeling a bit hungry. The chips he said only had a few chips stuck upright in a little pan his meal was nicely presented On a wooden board. I enjoyed the steak pie but like my husband would have preferred it on a plate, I told the waitress it was a bit like eating on a camping trip (sorry), pie and veg Served in two little pans on a wooden tray which slid around on the table. I have never eaten or served steak pie in this way I am from Yorkshire and used to a good round pie in a proper pie dish!. The waitress said it was "Gastro" food. Overall however our personal opinion is very good and would definitely recommend the restaurant. Our two mains came just short of 4o pounds without drinks.

We recently dined at Restaurant One Eighty which is located in the Pinewood Hotel in Handforth/Wilmslow. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and rebranded and the decor and ambience are very nice. The staff are attentive and the menu is good. We attended the jazz night which is held every last Friday of the month and is very entertaining. The two female singers are excellent and towards the end of the evening they diversify away from jazz and get livelier! If you can stay overnight the hotel offers a £99 jazz evening deal which includes a three course meal plus bed and breakfast, which is excellent value as our meal alone cost nearly £90 including drinks.

Polite and efficient service, relaxed and modern surroundings, however this was the zenith of the dining experience. I ordered Steak & Guinness Pie with three times cooked fat chips, the pastry top was tasty and well presented with Chantenay Carrots beneath, all food was piping hot. The meat was of pet food quality in a watery flavourless juice, and when offering three times cooked chips one should at least ensure that they are cooked once, they were hard and inedible! When I complained the food was deleted from my bill (cost of dish £10.50) without question or fuss. I am staying overnight so will experience breakfast tomorrow, more commentary to follow if noteworthy.

Restaurants in many hotels can be a little disappointing and a bit generic . The One Eighty Restaurant is definitely not! Really interesting, well thought out menu , which totally delivers when your food arrives . The steak pie was absolutely delicious. Melt in the mouth beef with rich gravy. It had obviously made with love and care and attention to flavour ! A really authentic Caesar Salad is actually hard to pull off . Not for the chef at One Eighty . It was one of the best I have ever had. Coupled with fantastic service , I would recommend the One Eighty for a meal out even if you weren't staying at the hotel . It's a shame I live in Canada or I would pop in more often !

The evening meal in the restaurant could not be bettered in any way. Plenty of choice- food was well presented and was delicious. Wine choice was extensive. The breakfast in the morning also exceeded expectations. From the traditional cooked breakfast items to more healthy choices- there was plenty for everyone. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The new look hotel really does stand out, I was lucky to attend the launch night of the restaurant and see behind the scenes. This new look is more than just a quick once over. All the rooms have been updated with luxurious beds, the kitchen has state of the art energy saving technology and the grounds have had a make over. All in all a fine place to stay, have a meal/night out or host a celebration such as a wedding or birthday party. Good effort, we will be back to sample more of the excellent menu.

The Yellow Broom is best described as a blend of pure elegance with a splash of sophistication. The setting is undeniably beautiful, complemented by a warm welcome from the staff, who are clearly well-trained in delivering exceptional silver service. The menu offers a well-balanced selection of cuisine, ensuring there's something to delight every palate. The presentation of the dishes was nothing short of exquisite, and the flavors were simply delightful. The staff were remarkably attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant were both appealing and comfortable, enhancing the overall dining experience. The Yellow Broom is a truly first-class establishment that consistently maintains high standards. I highly recommend a visit—you will not be disappointed.
