We ate here a couple of times and the food was always nice tasting, the down sides being small portions of some dishes, price for what you get and the cutlery was a little dirty. Other than that the staff are friendly and I'd eat...

Portion sizes were small considering the price of each dish. Really disappointing as we paid almost £30 a head. The cheese board was the smallest I've had - 3 small pieces of cheese, a few sticks of celery, 8 biscuits and some chutney - definitely...

My friend and I were staying over at the hotel on a spa package of which an evening meal in The Lawrence was included. We'd booked in for 8pm but it wasn't really necessary as there were only three other tables eating at that time and it is a big restaurant. We were greeted and seated by the manager who also took our drinks order and said he would bring us a cocktail menu. He never returned so assume he forgot about us as the waiter who took our food order then had to ask us again if wanted any drinks. Food was nice and arrived promptly after ordering. I had the rib-eye which was cooked exactly how I'd ordered and the peppercorn sauce was great. Presentation was also very good. My friend ordered the lamb and mentioned it could have been a bit warmer. As part of our package we had an allowance of £26 each to spend on anything from the menu, the starters are overpriced for what you get (£7.50 for one slice of game terrine and half a slice of toast) and side dishes have to be ordered separately with some dishes, so including drinks it can get quite expensive.

Disappointed that this didn't offer freshly prepared food surely a restaurant of this calibre should a reheated dinner is not what I expected when paying £26.00 per head.

Really poor in every sense, cold, poorly presented. Really unappetising food, strange combinations of food and all very bland. Staff also unhelpful, inept and disinterested.

Tijdens ons verblijf in het QHotel in dit restaurant gegeten. Eten is prima, maar ambiance is minder. Grote zaal met weinig aankleding. Was eerst te koud en toen de verwarming aanging weer te warm. Bediening is prima.

Saltbox Bar for the lauch of Mollis fried chicken kitchen takeover. If you didn't already know, Mollis is known for their ULTIMATE fried chicken on derby road next to Alchemilla by Alex Bond chef Saltbox have teamed up with Mollis for a 3 month kitchen take over in Bolero Square next to the entrance of Motorpoint Arena Nottingham Its available every Friday and Saturday evening from May to July. We chose a couple of chicken burgers. One with Nashville hot oil fried chicken miso ranch, beer pickle, lollo rosso, furikake. The other,Classic southern fried chicken kewpie mayo, pickles, lettuce, cheese sauce. A side of Fries, house seasoning topped with parmesan. Pink fir potato, truffle curd, crispy onions and a roasted garlic mayo sauce. They also serve some amazing chicken wings, either 6 or 12 in two delicous coatings. If you've not managed to make it out of the city to try them before. Theres no excuse now, as you can pop in when you go to a nearby event or you just want some really good chicken in the town. You can even order it to take-away.

Absolutely appalled with the service or lack of at pearl house. 1.5hrs after placing the order we called and were told they were busy, but the food would be there in 20 minutes and was ‘cooking now’. We waited another hour, still no food, so we attempted to follow up by calling again. After 30 attempts from the phone associated with the order number we couldn’t get through. I then called on my wife’s phone, they answered straight away. They said the order ‘is right in front of them’ and will be out soon. It did then arrive sometime after, however an item was incorrect. Communication and customer service go a long way regardless of order volume / how busy they are. Both were failed by Pearl House. Very disappointed.
