Tuve que esperar 40 minutos para patatas fritas y salsa y todo el inglés Las patatas fritas y salsa era horrible no sabía a salsa y las patatas fritas eran grasientas patatas fritas y el inglés completo era basura huevos no estaba totalmente cocido frijoles no sabían a frijoles ni los hachís morenos y ambas comidas era Luke caliente y tazas con nuestra taza de té en estaba sucio lo mismo que los cubiertos No volveré, eso es seguro 💯

Cocina bien y frijoles en su propio plato. Que previene las tostadas empapadas y los hachís morenos. Trabajo de primera. El pan frito travieso estaba delicioso

Gran relación calidad-precio, ideal para vegetarianos y un excelente servicio. Excelente vale. ¡Sepa cómo hacer una buena taza! Cerca de la estación de tren. Me encanta este lugar y me encanta volver. El personal es genial, amable, eficiente.

Had this fantastic breakfast at scar excellent quantity and produce would def visit again £8.95 with free tea or coffee refiles

Just what I needed this morning. Hearty breakfast, well cooked and served with a smile. A proper café run by a friendly team.

Food was perfectly cooked to order meaning it can take a little more time to be served because but there is a sign advising customers of this and it is well worth the wait. I treated myself to fried bread with my brunch and it was the best I've ever had with the perfect egg to dip it in. There was a vegetarian option too. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The interior is simple cafe furniture but was clean and not cramped. Prices are extremely reasonable so great value for money. I also spotted a fresh baked cake which looked very tempting. I'd definitely visit again if I have the chance next time I'm in Scarborough.

Some pretty harsh review on here about the owner and the food. Spent 2 weeks in Scarborough early August and went in for our breakfast virtually every day and never had a single issue with either the owner or the food. Will be back in town in October and Rendezvous cafe will be our first port of call every morning once again.

My partner and I were very disappointed when we visited. We had been going to the place every day during our visits to Scarborough over the last 20 years but never again. Yes it has been redecorated which needed doing but the menu has been changed too, it's all fry or salad meals, not one meat and veg meal. We thought we noticed Scampi on the menu but when I ordered it the proprietor said in a unfriendly way that Scampi is not on the menu. We ordered a cup of tea then left.

We called here for a coffee,no fancy coffee here but you do get a choice of size of mug. Husband had a teacake. The breakfasts and daily specials looked a good and plentiful as well as being cheap.Located next to the train station and the theatre. The owner was friendly especially to locals.

We sadly walked in to this dirty cafe, simply looking for a breakfast and had not seen any prior options on the day.This place is a filthy place and one I wished we had avoided, the place had not been cleaned properly for ages and certainly from the service the day before, the old food was still on the fryers, cookers etc.The chap running the place appears to be deaf, as he did not listen to a word I said to him.The only member of staff who appears to have any gumption was a young girl working at the place.The breakfast we ordered was given to another couple even though their order number was after ours.After a rush new breakfasts were brought but were for the table that had been given our order.They had to be taken back and created for our order.The breakfast was tolerable and actually good value for the price paid, but what a dump, the place needs a complete renovation and change of ownership and a change of clientele to get it up and running and will not be a place I will visit again.Scarborough residents and visitors should avoid this place like the plague.

Rude, unfriendly staff. My husband got told off twice by what I think was the owner. Never again . Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely rude, and very unfriendly staff. Please do not go here. The food is disgusting. As for the tea, it hadn’t seen a tea bag bu the taste of it. Long wait and no apologies for food that we ordered but never arrived.Very happy unfriendly towards our children.Please avoid this place.

Clean cheap fast breakfasts lunches and dinners tea and coffee come in verious sizes etc Great place for proper food at low prices..full English was Brilliant

Amazing place!! Old skool cafe, great food, prices and service. The place is clean and tidy and the food is awesome fed 4 kids and 2 adults for less than £30. Highly recommend!!

I don't really go there but a couple of my friends do ,so I go by what they tell me ,I suppose convenient and friendly staff and close to the train station and his stops like I said I early go but quite a few locals do as it's convenient for them ,nothing wrong with having a look I suppose

You can't go wrong when you ask for tea and it's available in mugs (not little china cups). Tiny tea cups in Historic Yorkshire is one thing but tea needs to be served in mugs. Food was good quality and was served quickly. Prices were very good and the cafe was clean and smart. Highly recommended.

Called in for a breakfast quick service very cheap basic cafe nothing wrong with it at allStaff helpful and cheerfulBreakfast excellent value for money and liked the choice of small medium and largeWould have liked to have seen a meatless breakfast on the menu but that's just my preferenceDefinitely Will go again as it's close to the station so easy to fuel up for a journey home without having to pay the outrageous prices the station charges

Called in for a cup of tea while waiting for a friend to arrive by train. Friendly staff, decent cuppa too

Don't think I have ever been to a place that bad... There was even a guy that looked like a homeless person making a rolly behind the counter...food was horrible... Please don't bother going here

Went in for family breakfast thought be nice stop off, the woman behind the counter with dark hair was very rude worst place in Scarborough we have visited we decided not to have any food because how she was with us, we went bit further down the road to baxters it was delicious

Went into the cafe this morning 19/03/2019 with my family to get some breakfast before our journey home. My 23 year old daughter who was with my grandson was about to order her breakfast and got a drink out of the fridge.The lady behind the til rushed over and snatched the drink out of her hand and said "you can't take one of those they aren't to just be taken out of the fridge " very rudely and there was no need for this. Hence after this we left without ordering our food. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and wasn't called for. Will not visit here again.

Place smell of chip fat ordered a plate of chips and the bottom of the play was swimming in grease. They are many nice cafes this is not one of them

Central and easy to find. Organised a business meeting because of this. Had a lovely cup of tea and was amazed how good the fruit scones were fantastic. Homemade. Good value.

Been to this place a few times now and it's not been the best but always been edible but this morning me and my mum went as a second resort as the normal one was closed for the holidays and I ordered 2 bacon and sausage sandwiches. When the food got brought out I received 2 bacon and egg sandwiches so I mentioned this to them and they took it back and 1 minuet later returned with 2 bacon and sausage sandwiches with 1 sausage on each. As I picked the sandwich up to eat it, the sandwich was dripping in grease and I noticed there were SET fat on the plates. After eating one sandwich I felt that sick from all the grease I decided to leave the other and left the cafe, got to say I will never be going back ever again, absolutely horrible

The café is really down to earth, its a family run place and the staff are very friendly. The meals are excellent, the food is all fresh and cooked when you place your order. My partner and I have been going for about 13 years when we visit Scarborough.

This place is great value. It's definitely no frills but that is part of the charm. I go every time I visit Scarborough.

We decided to have breakfast here and was glad as it was very good and you got 2 slices of buttered toast and we also ordered pots of tea,great value as under a tenner

We've had breakfast here and numerous cuppas. This restaurant serves all the staple meals and drinks, its handy for the rail station and is cheaper than the station's coffee bar, the staff are friendly and the loos are basic but clean.

Always make a point of calling in for a full English whenever I get the chance.

Very disappointing.first time in and it'll be the last.the place has a stale smell to it.our hot drinks had no taste at all and one of the cups was filthy.we couldn't get out quick enough.not at all good.

The prices are really good, but the food is cheap and tastes it!
