Lovely quiet spot for an intimate dinner. We went on valentines day and the tables were decorated romantically. The service was great, Mohamed was very attentive and considerate. The food was good too, we had curries and they were some of the best we had in a long time and came with all the amenities.

This is an updated review of the bar service, having now had response from the hotel Manager. We attended a charity comedy show there last week. The barstaff we experienced were either not trained & 1 of them dishonest & overcharged. I am pleased the Manager took time to speak with me. He did ask that I remove the review, but reviews are there TO HELP OTHER HOTEL VISITORS & hence although I have removed it, I replace it with this revamp. The Manager said he'd address the issues I had & has offered me + husband a free drink each (if we ever get there just for a drink) but meantime just check your bill & that you get the right measure of drink. Otherwise this is a really nice hotel, having stayed there 7 years ago, when I put on an event. I now hope to return for the same charity night (Royal Marsden Radio, who I listened to when in hosp) next April, if we're able to.

We went here for an afternoon tea for my mums birthday which was really tasty and they gave my mum a birthday slate saying ‘Happy birthday’ on in chocolate writing, which was a nice touch. However the problem with the restaurant are the waiting times, the staff were SOOOOO slow and totally disappeared straight after serving our afternoon tea. After 90 minutes of no-staff, we had to search round the corner for the staff to request a drink. They were found hidden in the ‘ballroom’ all chatting away. Finally someone came over to our table to take our drink orders. Then After a further hour of no-staff, we had to (again) find the staff (who were hidden away), to request to pay our bill. By this point there were 5 empty tables with old food everywhere, obviously the staff didn’t see the mess as they were no-where to be seen. Again, another few minutes of waiting and then someone finally came over with a card machine. Nice food but terrible time management.

The afternoon tea itself was nice but we (along with a few other groups) were bunged in a small windowless room on a lovely sunny day, along with a hen party; which was obviously noisy. Not an enjoyable or relaxing experience that you would hope for the price

The restaurant is dated and very hot. I feel the cold usually but i was boiling! The staff were pleasant but the standard of the Sunday carvery let the whole thing down. The whole thing just lacked flavour, especially the gravy, which should be the crowning glory, but was rather glutinous- a bit like wallpaper paste and tasted like it looked- brown water!! It didn't help the tasteless Yorkshires, roast potatoes with that dodgy texture. It's a pity, because I believe it used to be good. The cold starters were OK. Dessert was a choice of 4 things, none particularly good. I had the Bakewell, whilst it was alright, it desperately needed some moisture like cream or custard. I wouldn't go back unless there was a change of chef.

It's difficult to ruin fish and chips but their offering was chewy and tasteless - of an unknown species and the chips were either from the oven or just unfrozen. My wife's Sea Bass was equally only just edible and the salad seemed to be out of a plastic bag from Asda and probably passed their sell by date. Although it sounded like there were many staff we had to search to be served. We seemed to be the only customers which did not surprise us

Having attended the Reigate manor for Sunday lunch, on many occasions over the past 25 years,on an almost regular basis, I was very disappointed by today's meal. MY daughter and I took a guest with us, as I have always sung your praises we had hoped for a nice Sunday lunch.Initially we needed to order all three courses at once My guests starter of chicken pate' was served with no biscuits or toast, when she questioned this she was told she had a bread roll, eventually two pieces of toast arrived. The pate' was dark brown at the end of the piece, as though it had been cut earlier'and left in the fridge too long. Our mains in my opinion were awfull. Originally, no batter pudding came, which we had to ask for,but arrived cold. The pork was tough and under cooked. the roast potatoes burnt black in places, yet tasted, like they had been reheated from cold. the cauliflower cheese was watery and tasteless with cheese melted on it' I didn't complain at the time, as requested by our guest who already felt embarrassed at having had to ask for a piece of toast, batter pudding and sauce.

We booked a dinner dance for 17 people to celebrate a 40th birthday. What a brilliant night!! Making the arrangements was easy as Holly & Annalise in the events team were a pleasure to deal with. On the night, we had a lovely table set out as a large square (don’t like long thin tables for large groups) and the hotel were happy for us to get there early to decorate. The food was very good which can be tricky for events like this and one small hiccup with one order was resolved quickly & courteously. One of our group had asked for a different dessert which was also taken care of without any problems. All of the staff from the bar to the DJ were so friendly and carried on the great service received from the events office. The DJ was great and happy to take requests ..... I don’t remember seeing dance floor empty at all which is not easy with mixed groups! Thank you Reigate Manor.... we will keep a close eye on your events page and can’t wait to party with you again!

The choice from the central starter buffet was incredible with lovely large prawns, smoked salmon, cold meats, salads being just some of the selection meaning there was plenty for any taste. Then onto the carvery, you couldn’t want for anything better. The meat was generously carved, perfectly cooked & incredibly tasty. I feel sad about writing this review because we have been to an annual dinner for many many years at the Reigate Manor. We have always commented afterwards that the meal has been very pleasant and good value. Unfortunately they must have changed the chef this time or something went seriously wrong. I was presented with a chicken breast without skin and with tomato sauce, a rather unexciting blob of mash and a few slices of carrot and almost raw mangetout. . The problem was that whatever I did I could not cut the meat. The texture was like latex. I had several goes and then suddenly the whole breast shot across the plate and onto the tablecloth taking with it most of the sauce. I got the attention of a waiter and complained. He came back with a steak knife but by the time it had been of the cloth etc I did not want it. The man sitting next to me asked for the manager who said I could have a free drink. Clearly they had nothing else to offer me. I have no idea when they cooked this breast and how it was cooked. I eat a lot of chicken both at home and at restaurants and have never ever been given anything so horrible. Perhaps I might choose the vegetarian option next year. A pity because cooking a chicken breast is so simple. My husband who was also on my table said that it was the most disappointing meal that he had eaten at that hotel although he was able to cut through his chicken breast.

We stayed here as we were going to a family wedding in Reigate and hotel availability was limited. It was an extremely hot weekend, and we were lucky to get a large corner room, with a fan. It was clean and the bed comfortable, the shower was good but the décor was outdated, and there was only a tiny wardrobe. The service was what we can only describe as corporate. Not overly friendly, and some slightly surly staff. The breakfasts were dreadful, very dry scrambled egg and the slowest toaster ever. You have to do it yourself and to get decent brown toast you have to feed it through at least twice, and if you don't stand over it the whole time someone can pinch it. They need to sort that out. It is next door to a 24 hour garage, which doesn't look great as a view, but if you go past the garage a short way away is The Yew Tree pub, which has really good food and very friendly service and atmosphere, eat there instead!

The room was clean but the heating was a little hit and miss, I put it on low as the room felt cold but had to turn it down as it became too hot and then it was too cold again!I didn't want to wait until 19.00hrs for the restaurant to open so chose to have bar meals, the choice seemed to be rather limited to me and on my first night I chose the beef burger meal. I was quite surprised when it arrived with 8 chips, they were thick and arranged in a nice stack but 8 chips "really?"The second night I ate in my room, I had the chicken curry, I thought this was rather dry for a curry and on the last night I went out for fish and chips from a take away!

As we spent only night sleeping in there, we had a bad experience. The bed was wobbly and the pillows were very uncomfortable. It was not great value for money. Also I'd like to express my opinion about their customer service. The mother of the groom asked if they could bring a breakfast including a champagne to a room of just married couple. After a long debate they agreed to do that but our friend had to buy a champagne by herself and to give it to the staff. They were asked to chill a champagne and bring it in the morning. They brought it in to room and left it on the table instead. It was frustrating. We will think twice should we stay in this hotel again.

On the 19th of March I attended a spokesman club ladies night at Reigate Manor Hotel. The room was immaculate, tables beautifully laid, staff attentive and very helpful, and food attractively presented, tasty and enjoyable, one of the men commented he wished the steak he had was larger, but my lamb main meal was more than adequate.

I usually prefer to eat in restaurant's rather than the hotel bar on business trip's, and this is one of the better ones. Very good indeed, reasonably priced as well.

Sunday Carvery £18.50 adults - £10.00 childrenI was in a party of seven and the total bill only came to under £170 (average £24) which included pre-meal drinks, a number of bottles of wine, coffee/tea etc. There is a large selection of cold buffet hor d'oeuvres, although there was a lack of staple salad items such as lettuce/cucumber/tomatoes. There was also soup, which was a rather less than interesting potato and leek. The carvery was good. The plates were very hot (good start), and there was a choice of beef, gammon or turkey ( all three if you so desired). Roast and new potatoes, veg, and unusually, cauliflower cheese, which was very good.Sweets were selected from a menu, and I chose Eton Mess, which despite having had some bad ones in recent times, I though I would give it a try. This was far the best one I have had. Although the usual ingredients, apart from marshmallow, it was light, tasty and moreish.Coffee/tea and a chocolate finished off the meal. We were there for three hours and consider it good value, especially for a special occasion. Every table was reserved, which speaks for itself.

Lovely food. First class, service fantastic couldn't fault it at all. Not a large menu of food available but what you got was quality. The breakfast was top class as well

Not much choice half way up Reigate Hill, but this place sounded good - mainly as a trad jazz band was playing next door. One Cidre and Pollack and Chips ordered. Very tasty - served on a bed of minted 'pois' and wait for it - five chips! Best avoided if you prefer to feed the family for the same price, but go for it if you fancy splashing out and keeping in trim. Music was excellent by the way.

The Lady receptionist on check in and out were very friendly and professional. My wife and I could not book a meal on the evening due to a lot of parties, but the receptionist directed me to a local pub called the Yew Tree, Even with all the parties the hotel was very quiet in the evening. A good standard room at a good price . hotel

Spent a very pleasant Sunday Lunch with my two guests at the carvery. Really good selection of starters on the central buffet - fish, salads, pastas and cold meats. The roast meats included pork, turkey and beef. We had the beef which was cooked just how we like it - slightly pink in the middle. All the usual trimmings and vegetables and sauces were delicious. Followed by a selection of puddings and coffee served at the table. The service was friendly and efficient. Lots of family groups and couples. Afterwards we enjoyed liqueurs in the lounge. For £18.50 we would recommend this relaxing restaurant and we will be back!

We booked into the Frith's restaurant at this Best Western Hotel. Even though we arrived early but were warmly greeted and shown straight to our table. The waiter was friendly accommodating and efficient and our order of rare rib-eye steak and caramelised shallots was cooked to perfection, - but the venue was disappointing. The hotel itself is impressive but our dining-room was featureless, colourless and starkly lit - more akin to a room in which seminars might be held than relaxed dinners served.

The Sunday Carvery was up to the usual high standard at £18.50 adults and £10.00 children. The public areas have had a face lift recently which has improved the reception lounge seating area and added a little ambiance to the hotel's public areas. Help yourself starters are laid out on a central buffet and chefs serve you to the carvery with a choice of 3 roasts with all the trimmings. Portions are well on the generous side. Desserts and coffee served at the table. It is a privately run Best Western hotel with a real friendly welcome and efficient service. Two bedrooms booked as well, which were as expected, good. A real Sunday treat.

The food was nice but it could have been hotter!Pros:-Parking was sufficient enough.-The premises was well presented, clean and well maintained.-The staff were friendly and smartly attired.-The food was nice tasting.cons:-Parking spaces are very narrow.-The main eating area felt like a food hall- they need to put more furniture and decor in there to make it more attractive on the eye.-The coke I had was flat and luke-warm.-The waitress did not know what drinks they had at the bar.-They had no beef at the carvery and all the food was floppy and soggy- including the roasted vegetables.-It took 30 seconds to get the food back to the table, by that time it was already luke-warm verging on cold.Overall I was disappointed with the meal. For what I paid I expected a hot meal with a nice drink in a pleasant atmosphere. It's a shame really as it wouldn't take much to make the place spot on. The best part of the experience was the friendly staff... I will not be going there again!

We went here for a birthday celebration for my nan so we wanted to go somewhere special for sunday lunch. Unfortunately for what it cost per head it was a big dissapointment. The staff gave great service so there was nothing wrong in that department but the room was seriously lacking atmosphere and any character. Just a bit of background music would have been lovely! The buffet was good but i missed out on soup as this was apparently in another area so i missed that. The actual carvery was a real shocker! The different meats were all the same shape and size and looked cheap. I have never seen lamb in that shape before and the turkey was just like a turkey roll you can get in sainsburys! The lamb was very fatty and the vegetable selection could have been much better. We went to a toby carvery the following week and as usual they had a turkey crown and proper cuts of meat like there should have been for such a high price. Ironically we would have gone to a toby as their carvery is so good but we felt that it would have been nice to go somewhere more special but it was a dissapointment and we felt a little cheated.

I stayed here with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and we were put in a large family room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The facilities were great and sufficient for our needs. The breakfast was fine and the bar was 24hours. We also had numerous rooms the night of out wedding and all of our guests were satisfied. Reasonable accommodation at a reasonable price. The hotel is ideally located to visit Reigate Town Centre and close to the train station and motorway. The staff were helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay.

This was ok for a couple of nights on business but not great. Worst was having to try and locate a) bar staff (especially when a function on in adjacent room), and b) breakfast room (again moved it for functions). Stayed in Reigate several times a month since and whilst O would stay again for a night it's not my first choice! Positive advantage is great food pub opposite (yew tree).

Such a great spot to get off the high street. Grab lunch, breakfast, coffee and home made cake (and ice cream).I love that it’s owner run and not a chain or an investment business. Sit and eat and let your kids have fun, or enjoy the sounds of the other kids living it up! Dogs are welcome too. (Even big old Dalmatians !)

Having fully researched the area for our overnight stay to connecting flights this is my honest review: Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely softly spoken gentleman who showed us to our room and explained WiFi, separate bathroom facilities and check out procedures. We then had dinner in the establishment which was amazing, hot and fresh! Really please with our meal and the attentiveness of the staff! For the price this is a decent overnight stay for our flight. Highly recommended and will use again!

O café da manhã é muito bom. E o jantar foi melhor que muito restaurante de hotel por aí. Pedimos o mix de carnes. Foi ótimo.
