Corzo Lounge in Reigate and Banstead

Was disappointed as previously been to same restaurant in Reigate which was really good, will not visit this particular venue again

Went in for a casual, calming experience with my family - but that was not what I got. I ordered chips, toast & bacon and chocolate brownie. The wait was about 45 mins, and my son was not happy. I specifically requested NO butter on my toast however they brought it with butter. I called the waitress over and complained. She said she would bring the non-butter toast shortly. Long story short, it came 20 minutes AFTER we had all finished the main meal AND dessert. I was not about to eat toast after eating chocolate brownie, so I said no and they took the toast back.

Went for lunch while down visiting family. Service was very friendly and quick and we had 4 different dishes from their extensive menu and we all agreed it was very good.

Food is really nice, decor is quirky and weirdly seems to attract a lot of single parent mother's? Over the last year I must have seen at least 50 plus staff come and go, probably doesn't say anything good about the owners.

Never returning. Stated allergies when ordering for child. They gave her food with allergen in and then lied about it. Not only this, service extremely slow and food cold. Please do not trust if you have a serious allergy.

Place is nice, the staff are courteous and the beer great. Just don't have the food as it is awful and ice cream the size of a walnut on desserts!

I love coming here with my friends! Such a good vibe all the staff are so lovely and welcoming, especially manager Roxi and bar staff Elisa and Mimi! Would definitely recommend.

All the staff are so friend love the place to come for a meal and a few drinks. Roxi the manager is love and the bar staff Emma and Elisa are the most amazing bar staff you will ever have, so helpful and a lovely place over all.

Came for Tapas Tuesday and wasn't disappointed. Zak's tapas selections, were a hit with my table.Will come back again!

For dessert, Zak suggested the Sticky Toffee Pudding, and it was an absolute treat. His service was as delightful as the meal.

Had a delightful brunch here. Zak's recommendation of the Smashed Avocado Brunch was spot on. Definitely coming back!

A hidden gem! The playground was a hit with my kids. Zak, the waiter, was incredibly friendly and attentive.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious burger. Zak made sure our kids were entertained at the playground, which was fantastic.

Unfortunately we haven't impressed at all. Chocolate Salted Caramel Sundae was too sweet, lots of chocolate souce, we didn't feel salted caramel at all, no pieces of brownies, poor quality and presentation. Staff no really interested about customers. When Cheesecake was run out, substitutes offered instead was cheaper, and no recommendation of difference offered. Coffee was tasty, but I no think I will come back here.

Went on a Monday evening after a stressful day. Nat and the team working were so accommodation and welcoming (especially with our awkward allergie friends). We could not have asked for better service I have been before and will 100% be back and will recommend to anyone I can!

My partner lives local to Corzo and so we have been in a few times in the past year. The service is always exceptional and we are always made to feel really welcomed. We have even gotten to the point that we are on first name basis with Nat and she knows our usual table and our order as soon as we walk in. The food is fantastic, I have not managed to order something I haven't enjoyed yet. If you are looking for a relaxed meal or drinks with friends this is 100% the place for you. With the funky decor and the chill music you can easily while away hours in here and feel comfortable and welcome.

Early start to the Day for breakfast. Friendly staff and tasty food. This lounge is quite Good. Excellent decor. But the special attention care and friendliness from the manager Roxan made us feel at home. She personally came to tables to check if we had everything we wanted. Loved her hospitality, which brings up the bar quite a bit. I've been here a few Times before, but now I noticed that lately this Lounge really has caught on.

Amazing atmosphere! The service has been incredibly fast, very much welcoming, the staff were very kind. We met a waiter there who had to be recognised publicly. George was his name and he was phenomenal. He was prompt, smart and caring. And he just had this friendly demeanour about him that made us all happy.

We went to Corzo Lounge for the first time today and were so pleased we did. The decor and atmosphere is great, well spaced tables and great for families too. The food was easy to order via my phone and the staff very friendly and attentive. I cannot fault it. We will definitely be going back!

We visited for the first time today and had an excellent lunch. Food was great and staff were generous and attentive (especially to our young son). Decor and location is fab and interior is well setup for children (with a designated play area) and plenty of space. A good location for coffee, drinks or meal. Couldn’t recommend more and will definitely be back!

Orders at the bar were slow, I ordered on the app, my colleague went to the bar, and my drink arrived before theirs, so great for people who want to use the QR code. The toilet is like going to a step class, not good, coming down in heels, and I held on to the bannister it was sticky. Great choice of cocktails

I regularly visit corso lounge, last night me and a friend visited and unfortunately we were very disappointed with our decision to visit here. We waited nearly 25 minutes for my friends drinks, some of our food never even arrived. We have woken up the next day and both of us have upset stomachs. We approached the lady who was on the bar about it and she agreed to refund us the missing food and the one drink we waited ages for, however then decided making shots and doing whatever else it was around the restaurant was more important than sorting out the issue with us. Very disappointed.

Food good after a long wait. The hollandaise sauce was nasty. Comfortable and stylish but also rather like a large Witherspoon's for size.

My friends and I enjoy the puddings there after going to the pub karaoke. They have entertainers , singers and quizzes. Very lively place

Although there was a hiccup with putting my meal order through the system and I had to leave before it arrived, the super-friendly and basically switched-on and helpful staff handled it so graciously and efficiently (net result: a “liquid supper” on the house) that I shall certainly be returning to give it another go!

I went last night with my family to Corzo Lounge. The manager welcomed us and took us to the table. The restaurant was very clean and had beautiful Christmas decorations. The food was amazing nice and hot and everything arrived on time. They had live music which we enjoyed very much. Definitely high recommended to everyone !

Short story: it was a shocking display of service, food, quality, contaminates and management. Full story: Around 15 of us attended a pre-booked Christmas meal and despite this, the staff couldn’t have got things more wrong. The management and staff in general were clearly poorly trained and it felt as though they were all new starters because none seemed to understand what food was being brought out. The food took so long to come out that even some of our party had to help serve the food because the staff just couldn’t handle it. Please note that when I say extremely slow, I am not exaggerating in the slightest but instead providing a service to Corzo Lounge by not stating how long it took. Sadly, it wasn’t because that it was a packed restaurant – it was our table (granted circa 15 of us) and one or two other tables of 2. I asked the staff for several things that evening but never received anything so just gave up. A couple of others had ordered a chicken burger but they weren’t cooked through properly. The most shocking of all was that mine and two other meals (all pork belly) had string on the meat and it – but no, it wasn’t tied round the meat, it was in fact simply left on top, under the onions and sauce so could well have been a chocking hazard in itself! Days prior, I had the opportunity to come for my wife’s birthday meal but having experienced what I did, I am so thankful that I hadn’t.

Had the most unbelievably awful experience here. They admitted being under staffed once I went to address the lack of food arriving. They had one very young "chef"/ food heater in the kitchen and wait staff that were all dressed as if they had just popped in off the street with very little customer service ability. We came here for a Christmas meal (about 16 of us) and despite pre-ordering our food a week ago the food was not ready to be served at 8pm as agreed. Instead we were served a luke warm starter at 8.45pm and wait staff didnt really have a clue what they were serving when coming out of the kitchen. Then SOME people were then served a main at 9.30. Then it took another 30 minutes for some other people at the table to receive their food, and then finally at 10.15pm a couple of people received their pie with a "sorry we have run out of veg and gravy." My friend and I ordered a gluten free chicken burger that was under cooked and smelt not quite right. We sent that back and no, we didn't want them to bring another one. I spoke with a member of the serving team, maybe the manager. She said that head office instructed them to wait a certain amount of time before serving mains after the starter. I said that wasnt the reason the food wasnt coming out and that it was because they had seemingly un-trained kitchen staff and a complete lack of leadership in the whole place. This is a very busy season for me personally and it was hugely distressing to have an evening completely ruined by a Reigate business that I expected to at least have some knowledge of the hospitality sector. This place needs a health and safety check on a number of levels!! Ugh. Just very very annoying and dissapointing!

Came here for brunch - a great casual spot for a mixed group. I particularly appreciate how carefully they treat allergens. They have a separate gluten free menu and take extra precautions for folks with celiac / coeliac (although you need to order at the counter to make sure they know you need this). Food comes out flagged GF for clarity. Our group had both coeliac and dairy free folks and was able to have a delightful brunch without getting sick. There was a slight mixup with our food and the staff were quick to resolve.

First time in this restaurant and very disappointed. Ordered via the website without issue. Drinks arrived swiftly and an hour later we were chasing up the food. Told we only ordered 15 minutes prior even though food and drink ordered as one. Hour and half later I finally got my bacon butty. Extremely slow service. Bacon was overcooked and the added egg I ordered was just placed on top????? Won’t be returning. Quite pricey for what you get too.

A young lad member of staff picked up the odd glass from a table but there were lots of empty tables with lots of other dirties left there. Staff seemed totally unmotivated. Would not recommend. Shame because the decor is very tasteful.

We had delicious tapas and wine for dinner. The food was excellent. Service was very good. We will certainly return.

we ordered 2 drinks.. which took 30 minutes to come, after i had to chase them several times, they were sat on the bar and i had to go and collect myself. Food was even worse, my friends food came after a 35 minute wait, and mine didnt come until hour after ordering. meaning that my friend had already finished eating. I had to chase my food 3 times before it was made. Manager made it feel like my fault by saying that "its because i ordered online" after she had encouraged us to order online Problems all around, everyone seemed to have an issue and staff simply just saying sorry without actualy resolving, Dont waste your time or money!! Manager did comp my food order which was a nice gesture, however i wouldnt recpmmend .

Really enjoyed this place. Wheelchair friendly, plenty of room between tables. Has a disabled toilet. Plenty of choices on menu for food and drinks. They help if you have food allergy and food intolerance. The only problem was the table was a little low for my knees and wheelchair. The staff were friendly and professional.

Food could be a little better, I had a breakfast and it was a bit hit and miss some of it was fab, some of it was.....less so. You have to choose your time to eat here carefully some times the place is absolutely full of entitled Reigate mums with their god awful kids running riot. Would be great if they had a quiet area and tucked the kids play area at the very back.

***Oct 2023*** Sunday afternoon is a time to relax, sadly it seems that applies to the staff aswell. Service was poor, had to get my own cutlery, food was late and served beef instead of the vegetarian option. Lots of other tables suffered the same. ********* Nice place inside, for a table service venue it's hit and miss..I was thanked by staff for clearing away used plates that had sat on the table for 20 minutes post food...missed the irony. One order took 45 minutes to arrive. Need to keep the service a bit tighter for repeat visit.

Lovely food, and kind staff. Great space for families. But service today was honestly terrible. They must have been missing at least 2 people today. Very slow to bring out food. Food to wrong tables. Missing items from orders. Staff was very clearly stressed and trying their best, but were unable to keep up with the very small crowd. Less than 1/3 of tables were filled. Ran out of clean cutlery. Staff focused on cleaning tables and not on bringing out food. Hope this is a one off and they plan staffing better in the future. It's a shame, as it really seems like a great place.

Spoilt for choice here with the menu spanning from Mexican to Malaysian to Lebanese. Nasi goreng was fantastic and reminded me of bibimbap. Excellent service. Will definitely come back to try more of the varied menu.

This is the second time I've visited Corzo lounge and sadly was disappointed again 😐 If you want quick microwaved food then you should go here. Positives: - The waiters were nice enough and friendly Negatives: - When we came in no one came to greet us or show a table so we fended for ourselves - when the food came it was pretty tepid and my Nasi Goreng tasted like it was out a packet - my partner's fried chicken (pictured) was super burnt underneath - the servers were just dressed in their own clothes so it was hard to distinguish them at first Won't be going back I'm afraid. Disappointing for such a key location. Pizza express next door had 3 times the number of people in and I can kind of see why.

Feedback on a terrible experience Friday night in Reigate. Family of 8 for a 16th birthday celebration. Quarter full restaurant, ordered food, told 20 minutes later some of the dishes were not available as the chef was off sick - an assistant was in the kitchen in their place. Food arrived 45 minutes after ordering. Food which came out was either cold or badly overcooked. When we chased one dish which was missing told that now wasn't available either. We would have received better service/quality of food at a fraction of the price at a Weatherspoons. We have been eating in Reigate for over 20 years and this was by far the worse dinning experience we have experienced. Foodies in Reigate know their 'stuff', strongly advise you look at your food staffing and ordering process. The 'poor' waiting staff/manager though were lovely, very embarrassed by the quality of the food. To make matters worse, I was refunded an amount in lieu of dishes not available, only to look at my credit card app to see I have been charged again instead.

Food is good, I had the Bacon Cheeseburger which I definitely recommend. Good for a quick bite for lunch.

Food was amazing! Had brunch (Corn and black bean Mexican)... it was truly delicious and worth a frequent return. Ambiance and decor were fab! App was a bit of a pain to navigate to place order and there is no table service so we each had to go to bar to order our food. Not a big deal but a bit of a pain.

I didn't realise this was a chain but would find the local lounge and love it. When I realised they had lounges all over I was like OF COURSE! My go to is the Miami brunch. Dog friendly. Easy to order and quick to deliver the order. I'm a massive fan. So happy there's one on the Isle of Wight as I go back to visit family. Now I know I have a trusted restaurant to eat at with my pup.

we visited as a party of 6 adults and 2 toddlers- for my grandsons birthday. This was an unplanned, non booked visit. what a great choice- food good, clean and quick service- but what made it special was the day time lady supervisor- what a gem. she was professional, chatty and excellent with the little ones- hope her employers recognise what she brings to this restaurant.

Quiet afternoon during half term week. Mid afternoon food .Very quiet only 10 ish people . Ordered chicken souvlaki. Stale flatbread and cold as though defrosted. It took 25 minutes to serve and there were 2 chefs in the kitchen . First time here and...

Went a couple of weeks after moving into the area. Appeared okay from outside (other restaurants were fully booked and we were very hungry). Food was extremely mediocre and had a strong feel of a Wetherspoons pub. Dogs barking- don't understand the need to have animals in a "restaurant ". Won't be going back

Food was lovely and reasonably priced.

The food is really very good and very much worth visiting just for their breakfast or burger. The atmosphere is nice if you like a low light dining experience. I personally don't understand the plethora of paintings lining the walls but they didn't particularly bother me. What actually bothers me about the Corzo Lounge is the management who are responsible for customer service (notice I am not blaming the staff). The issue is that customers will not have the best service by design, because table service doesn't exist. The customer is forced to use a QR code to order directly to the table. My problem with this is that it feels like the self service checkouts in Tesco - they are transferring the work of order processing onto the customer!!! The Corzo Lounge however seems to have created a single point of failure here in this regard, since the bar staff can't take food orders. I had a problem where my phone provider (3 lol) had no coverage in the Corzo Lounge, so I couldn't use the web based ordering system after scanning the QR code. Connecting to their free unencrypted WiFi didn't help either as the website bugged out and stopped responding. My friend ended up paying for my entire meal because I couldn't use the qr code method and they wouldn't take my order. We nearly went elsewhere. The staff themselves are nice and could only operate within the absurd parameters they are given.

Lovely food, lovely drinks, and love the decor

Really pleasant Saturday afternoon lunch with a friend and our teenage daughters. Excellent varied menu choices for food and drink. Pleasant & comfortable surroundings Ordering is made via a QR code, which meant we didn’t actually speak to any staff until our drinks arrived The only slight minus was that there was a long wait for the drinks and then for the food but they were delicious and we happily chatted whilst we were waiting. The waitress who brought our food apologised and said we should have been told before so knew to expect a wait as they were understaffed. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return to work through the menu! Good value for money

A year later and I'm not really sure what has happened. We arrived this afternoon with our dog, we were ignored by 3 different members of staff. We waited over 10 minutes for our drinks and nearly 50 minutes for food. We weren't offered any water for our dog, yet the other people with their dogs all had bowls. We weren't offered any condiments with our food. The service, all in all, was shocking and we won't be returning. Whatever you've changed Corzo, change it back. Will not be returning. Have been here for breakfast and lunch now. Both times the food was incredible. The staff have always been very welcoming, the ordering is so simple I'm not sure how people get it wrong or don't understand. A lovely edition to Reigate, wonderful decoration and stunning food. Can't wait for dinner there now 👏👏👏

Amazing decor, very chilled and relax. Good beers and food. Punk IPA yum. Even though, still asked to order via app in front of the bar table. I thought that QR codes were for tough times in CoVid but not very hospitable in general. Will definitely always come back though.
