Redroaster in Brighton and Hove

La comida era lo suficientemente agradable, pero caro y sobrevalorado para lo que es (tuvimos 3 tuberías a £ 20 cada uno) . Dos razones para la calificación: 20 fish and chips con un pequeño trozo de pescado, casi uno de esos tamaños de pescado que ves como una opción de almuerzo más barata y ni siquiera parecía ser un filete. 2 . 12 . 5% de servicio añadido, este es un tipo de brunch de lugar no un restaurante superior. El servicio estaba bien, pero odio los restaurantes que añaden a la factura lo que creen que debería darles propina.

Nuestro grupo tuvo una experiencia extremadamente decepcionante. No solo se nos cobró de más inicialmente, sino que también nos vimos obligados a pagar el importe total de nuevo con la seguridad de que se reembolsaría el cargo inicial. Más de una semana después, siete de nosotros todavía estamos esperando este reembolso prometido, dejándonos a todos significativamente de su bolsillo. Los intentos de resolver esto con la administración fueron recibidos con indiferencia, no han hecho nada para acelerar el reembolso o abordar el problema. Esto se siente menos como un error y más como si nos hubieran quitado dinero sin urgencia ni rendición de cuentas. Una experiencia completamente desagradable. Evite si valora el servicio transparente.

Las bebidas son muy caras y el servicio no es genial. La comida era promedio en el mejor de los casos. Hay mucho mejores lugares para comer en Brighton. Vi a mucha gente dejando comida tan segura de que no éramos los únicos decepcionados.

Esta fue nuestra cuarta visita para almorzar aquí. Nuestra primera visita fue un gran éxito y la comida excelente sin embargo las cosas han ido cuesta abajo. En nuestra última visita, el personal no tan atento (pero aún así muy agradable) nos informó que el chef ejecutivo del “grupo” trabajó allí durante el primer mes y ahora solo aparece. Esto probablemente explique por qué la comida no es buena ahora. Qué pena que haya empezado tan bien. Ideal para una bebida en un lugar agradable, pero la comida no se recomienda en absoluto.

Las bebidas de la hora feliz y la comida del bar eran excelentes. Gran servicio y ubicación perfecta. Gran terraza para comer y beber al aire libre. Perfecto!

Me gusta el café aquí, pero el café a veces no está muy caliente y este fue el caso durante mi última visita. Creo que es un problema de entrenamiento. En Italia las copas a menudo se mantienen calientes. El personal siempre es genial.

The coffee was deep and rich but could be larger in size the breakfast however was perfect. We had the crab and avocado benedict and it was amazing. Staff were friendly and efficient. Expensive but totally worth it.

Absolutely loving it. A modern restaurant/building in the heart of Brighton. Great menu, loving the breaded chicken. Will be back soon.

Fabulous new restaurant attached to the dome theatre. Fabulous, well cooked food and some interesting cocktails. Service is laid back and efficient. Overall very good value for money ( will definitely be back for the chicken liver crumpet, picture attached)

Great food, interesting drinks and good service. Ideal for pre theatre visit as Theatre Royal a minute away! Really enjoyed it

I was attending the Theatre Royal and I looked at the menu outside and thought yes it looks good I went in greeted by two lovely members of staff a good menu I actually ordered the Chicken Schnitzel with salad and fries it was just amazing I didn’t want it to end it was so delicious amazing the best

We had dinner on a January night. The restaurant was warm and cosy and the layout and decor is beautiful. The menu is varied: not particularly long, but full of interesting and original things, and someone wanting plant based dishes would do as well as someone wanting meat or fish. Our server Abi was very good and attentive, and the whole place was welcoming and enjoyable. Highly recommended, and we'll be back. Redroaster's ethical and environmental policies are a big plus, too.

Had a meal here with some pals. We couldn't have had better service from the very lovely Lilly. This is a lovely restaurant that deconstructs some classics in a really inventive way whilst offering a varied menu. Will definitely be back. Thanks for such a lovely experience.

Redroaster New Road - Dome Popped in for a drink after seeing a show at the theatre Royal opposite. The building is part of the newly renovated Dome. Inside is nicely decorated and set out. It is sectioned off from the dome by a curtain. Unfortunately a breeze was coming through into the restaurant as the Dome had their doors open. It was a bit chilly. Hopefully they will look at an affective solution, we watched a few people swapping tables. The service was good. The wine & cocktails reasonably priced. The menu is small however the small plates & fish & chips were very tasty. I will definitely return here when in this part of Brighton.

Let’s start with the good: the cocktails were excellent. The food was tasty and good value. However, the service was lacking massively - not particulalrly attentive. We had to stand up to get someone’s attention to get the dessert menus as we hadn’t been offered them when our table had been cleared 20 mins earlier. We appreciated the gap to start with but then it became annoying. No one followed up asking if we wanted another drink either. We weren’t alone as we heard several tables slurping the dregs of their drinks through straws. Combine the limited service with the coldness of the indoor restaurant and we were left disappointed. Temp can be subjective but the external doors were left open for the convenience of the staff serving outside rather than the customers inside. We even asked if the temp could be sorted, which resulted in one of the doors being closed, which helped marginally but every woman (about 10) all sat at their tables with their coats on, a scarf round their neck and/or looking cold. It was a pretty clear visual indicator of the issue that no one picked up on. I don’t generally feel the cold but my nose was cold! We overheard several people grumbling about it too. I actually liked the food, the decor, the location and the cocktails were genuinely excellent. Sort the temp inside of an evening and improve the service (which could manage the temp issue) and you could have an excellent restaurant. Until then, basic things are holding it back. I got a follow up email the day after asking for a review via the booking app. I wrote pretty much the same thing in that review as in this and did receive a response back a day or so later acknowledging the feedback and apologising for the overall experience. It was a welcome response but without going back - which is unlikely as I don’t live in Brighton - it’s hard to know if things have improved.

Such a lovely building on the corner of The Dome. Friendly staff and good service. Amazing brunch! Great coffee. We were very impressed.
