Delicious Turkish breakfast and coffee

Had the avocado & salmon sourdough bread, it was seasoned well! Oat flat whites were also delicious. Would recommend 👍🏼

Came here for brunch with a friend, quiet little shop on Roman Road. Coffee was well made, but not very strong, offering regular or oat milk.

Coffee very overpriced, was £3 for a very small cup and it did not taste all that either; most of it froth. Compare the size to a 330ml can of soft drink, inside Recharge coffee cup they are serving approx. 200-250ml of not all that coffee most of which is froth. Very expensive and a rip off. Also staff miserable, and smiles are fake. You're just a walking wallet/purse at the end of the day to fill their till. Hate to think how much they charge for food. You may need to apply to the bank to get a loan to be able to afford to eat in there, or re-mortgage your home, moreover on a regular basis. Given that the average price is coffee at Greggs, or a café (which are close by) is around £1.80 and twice the size, then clearly Recharge are only recharging their bank account and pretty much do not reflect the affordability of the wider public in the area. Realistically I believe the coffee is worth about £1 to £1.20 max.

I recently visited this cafe and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The decor was stylish and modern, with comfortable seating and a cozy ambiance that was perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The menu was extensive and had a wide variety of options to choose from. I was impressed with the quality of the food and drinks. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had, and the latte art was a nice touch. The service was exceptional - the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer any questions. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience was enjoyable and that I had everything I needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great place to eat, drink, or simply relax. Whether you're a coffee lover, a foodie, or just looking for a cozy spot to unwind, this cafe is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to go back!

You should try the bacon and cheese toast and the halloumi wrap. A local gem.

One of the best "locals" to grab a coffee and a bite or to simply have brunch. The staff is lovely and the place is cosy and with good vibes, The coffee is pretty decent so is the food!! Good match for a quality, price experience.

Best breakfast in Bethnal Green. These guys really know what they are doing - their fry ups are extremely tasty and perfectly cooked. As is their Shakshuka eggs. Oh, and their coffee is delicious too. The staff are lovely and very attentive - my partner and I look forward to going here every weekend for an actually good breakfast after a long week at work. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough.

Good for a quick breakfast in a friendly atmosphere with a touch of Middle Eastern cuisine. Not too crowded. Lots of veggie options. The mushrooms and the vegetables, however, very rather raw, and the tea doesn't deserve to be called by that name at all :) And all the same, it's better for normal food than Pret of the like. Thank you guys.

Favourite place to go for breakfast on a Sunday. It is definitely cosy and is popular so try to get there so . Food is always great and everyone's so friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Closed! Again! Love this place but it's randomly closed all the time. I've stopped going because it's so unreliable and never a reason or how long it's closed for on the shutter. The owner and food are great and he works hard but it has to be reliable to bother to walk down there.

Nice food. Have enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast here a couple of time, containing fried egg, beans, 1 hash brown, mushroom, tomatoes, avocado and toast. Very filling. Only coffee I've ordered here is the Mocha and again always excellent. Thanks to gentrification, both the food and coffee are a bit pricey IMHO for this area of London. Especially the coffee which came in the small glass tumbler. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service good.

We've been going to cosy, family-run Recharge regularly for about 4 years and we still get the best breakfast in London every time. I would recommend the shakshuka, the Turkish breakfast and the halloumi/red pepper wrap- all so delicious!

La comida es buena. He disfrutado del desayuno vegetariano aquí un par de veces, que contengan huevo frito, frijoles, 1 patata, champiñones, tomate, aguacate y tostadas. Muy abundante. Sólo que he pedido aquí es el moca y nuevo siempre excelente. Gracias a gentrification, la comida y el café son un poco caro en mi opinión en esta zona de Londres. Sobre todo el café que puede en el pequeño vaso de vidrio. El personal es amable y acogedor. Buen servicio.

7 amigos y yo disfrutamos del desayuno en recuperarse. Aunque es un pequeño café, había espacio para sentarse juntos. El servicio era rápido y amable. Buena variedad de platos con ingredientes frescos, el desayuno, muy bien preparada y presentada. Gran té y café. Gracias.

Este lugar es fantástico. La comida siempre es preparado y servido con rapidez. Es un hotel regentado por una familia que consigue hacer un gran desayuno turco y su nivel de inglés. No es raro entrar en un sábado o domingo por la mañana para encontrar una mezcla de corredores, parejas y gente de nivel desayunar.

Consistently good coffee - and I'm a New Zealander, so fussy. Tend to pop in on my way to the tube and turnaround is quick as well. Food is delicious. Don't come if you are a control freak or want to amp your dishes up, tone down, or get fussy. It's what's on the blackboard, which is practical given the smaller sized venue. If you like Turkish breakfasts - halloumi, eggs, avocado - then his is is the place. But they do full English as well and a range of sandwiches and wraps.

I asked for sourdough toast, I was told I can only order toast with crushed avocado on the side so that would be £5 for toast. Gentrification gone too far?

I come here for breakfast most weekends and couldn't recommend it more. The food is really good and it's super friendly and relaxed. A small but perfect cafe!

I have been going to Recharge (formerly the Corner Café) for years. As the café culture has grown in London there have been hundreds pop up around Bow / Hackney that are overpriced and style over substance. This is not the case with Recharge! It's not the biggest space, but there is ordinarily enough room for a seat even with a group of mates. The food is amazing and reasonably priced, the service is friendly and it's great for people watching if you happen to be on your own. I go there to work, meet clients, friends or with my girlfriend. Cannot recommend more highly, check it out for yourself and enjoy!

My favourite breakfast/brunch/lunch place on Roman Road. Family run place with a friendly smile and cosy atmosphere. On the weekends they serve this traditional Turkish style baked eggs dish (cannot remember the name) - DELICIOUS!! It's made with a homemade sauce....please go to try it! YUMMY

Breakfast so good you'll remortgage your house and bet all your money on Breakfast. You'll name your first-born child Breakfast. You'll be picked up wandering the streets just repeating the word Breakfast. I just had a Turkish Breakfast, and all I can say is: Breakfast. (excellent quality, fair price, no corners cut, simple pleasant environment)... If only there was WiFi too...

Best wraps around for vegetarians and non vegetarian, shaksuka omelette over of my favorites. Also i recommend Turkish breakfast. I noticed it's less busy in the afternoons perhaps best time to go.

Simple menu, prepared with care and attention to detail. Though other cafes have recently opened between here and Bethnal Green, none provide better food, atmosphere or value for money. Scrambled eggs with salmon or avocado on toast particularly good - well seasoned and delicious!

Recharge is a very cute cafe on Roman Road. Inside there is not much seating but it is not uncomfortable. There is a large choice of breakfast food and also some wraps and sandwiches. I had the sausage sandwich with egg and a black coffee. The sandwich came with lovely white bread and juicy sausages. The coffee is nice and rich and they also sell the beans so you can have it at home. Staff friendly. It is quite expensive but it has a lovely vibe inside.

As much as I really want to rate this place as my local cafe, it just isn't that great. Food isn't bad, but overpriced and not memorable. Coffee is okay, but again, nothing amazing.

Friendly service and a great breakfast, cosy with a pleasant interior and great coffee, the interior isn't large and spacious like other places but it makes up on big taste.

This guy cares about food! The kitchen is open and so you see 'H' preparing the food, often using his own home-made marinades and salad dressings. This guy, his cafe and coffee are unique in this area, a wonderful find.
