I’ll be honest, British breakfast cafes are my area of expertise, I will visit a different one in London every day, I’d go as far to say this is the best of the bunch. The staff are incredibly friendly, the owners treat everyone like family friends, then price is very very reasonable. The food is a HUGE portion and absolutely delicious. 11/10. I cannot recommend this place enough

I had an absolutely fantastic breakfast at the Arches cafe, quite probably the best I've ever had (and I am a big fan of an English Breakfast!). Great service, and good range of options on the menu. Highly recommended.

Arches Cafe is a wonderful family business that serves delicious well sourced food. We ordered breakfast. First Class full English and a great cup of coffee. If you’re looking for an authentic London cafe experience this is the place for you!

Me encanta una cafetería tradicional en un ambiente diferente. Los Arches encajaban en la ley. Entré en este café bien decorado y limpio. Fui recibido por miembros muy agradables del personal, incluyendo a alguien que tomé como propietario. Pedí un desayuno inglés completo y una taza de té. A los pocos minutos de sentarse llegó el té. Té apropiado en una taza muy limpia. Sacié mi sed. Seguido de tostadas ligeramente cocidas - y el desayuno. La comida estaba bien cocinada - nada quemado y no grasoso. Amplias porciones de frijoles y hongos que me convenían. Sirve en un plato limpio con cubiertos limpios. El ambiente relajado ayudó a mi disfrute de la comida. Si estás en Bethnal Green y quieres un desayuno a un precio razonable ve a los Arches

Fab-u-lous….. This was a return visit to The Arches Cafe on a quick trip to London staying in Bethnal Green. Another fabulous warm welcome to this great little cafe tucked away in East London. The very lovely lady even remembered us. This time we sampled the sandwiches and I can honestly say these were amazing. Very generous and tasty fillings. The coffee is great too. Perfect strength for a latte. Would highly recommend this cafe not only for the food but also the great friendly service. Well done for providing such quality foods at very reasonable prices. Thank you, we’ll be back on our next visit.

Being early for an appointment elsewhere we stepped in out of the rain and immediately were warmly welcomed and very quickly we could choose from the menu. The service was efficient and very friendly, as if they were already for us and waiting especially for us, the arrival of friends. We strongly recommend Arches Café .

Found this wonderful little cafe by doing a Trip Advisor search whilst staying in Bethnal Green. Given a very warm welcome by the friendly staff. Lots to choose from on the menu but we were there for a late breakfast so chose the scrambled eggs on toast with black pudding as an extra. Delicious and well cooked food. Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the food. Would definitely recommend. Very handy too if you are staying at the Bethnal Green Travelodge.

We travel from out of town, to perform at Bethnal Green Working Mens Club once in a while. Whenever we do, we try and make a point of visiting The Arches tge morning after. Beautiful food, at very reasonable prices - especially for London. The owners are always friendly, and remember us - and ask how we’re doing. I recommend the American Breakfast, my husband’s a fan of the small full English. Clean and cosy, with a welcoming atmosphere - a proper London cafe!

I really recommend this establishment. Homemade and delicious food (we had an English breakfast there), super friendly staff. We will return there tomorrow (instead of our expensive and uninteresting hotel breakfast).

This place is great! Amazing little café under the arches (clue is in the name) of an elevated railway. I had a breakfast here and couldn't fault it. Sensible prices, charming staff, very clean, good food, oh and the coffee was good as well. My photo of the menu is dated 15th December 2023. Highly recommended.

Yummiest bacon roll I've had for ages! Love the soft roll. They even had decaf coffee which we didn't expect! Friendly people too.

A little diamond of a cafe. This is my second visit and enjoyed just as much as the first. A great selection of breakfasts and the staff are all really friendly and attentive. I don’t usually recommend what to try but I’m this occasion I’ll make an exception. Get the full English 😋

One thing that stops me from going to cafes is how dirty it can be. But Arches cafe is top level clean, welcoming & nice food that tops it all off !

C'est copieux, délicieux et à un prix défiant toute concurrence 11,50 GBP.. Beaucoup de personnes du quartier viennent y prendre leur petit déjeuner c'est donc un signe. En plus le personnel est d'une gentillesse incroyable et c'est pour cette raison que nous y sommes retournés le lendemain. Nous étions un groupe d'amis de 4 personnes et nous garderons un super souvenir de nos 2 petits déjeuner. Nous nous sommes même pris en photos avec le personnel🤣 Si on retourne à Londres, c'est sûr qu'on ira prendre notre petit déjeuner là bas

The Staff there are Friendly and good at Remembering how You Like Your Coffee as I have Especially made a Point of Asking for A Stronger Black Americano due to My Personal Taste only because I haven’t ever found Cafe Coffee Strong Enough for Me (All of the Cafe’s I have Visited don’t Make it Strong Enough for Me, as I Like it Near Espresso Strength, Always). Since my Commenting about my Preference Previously, I have Now always made a Point of Mentioning and they Have Continually Been Most Excellent in Bringing it Exactly the Way I Like, a Gorgeously Strong Black Americano, Today They even Warned me to be Careful as it was Extremely Hot, and Warned my Friend Similarly when they Brought Out His Food, I Know, isn’t it Disgusting that they Actually Serve Hot Food! My Friends Regularly Eat There Too! I Have Understood from My Friends too, that they Have Refurbished the Café Quite Some Time Ago and I find it Quite Pleasant in its Present Fixtures! I feel I could have been Just as Content with it in its Previous State of Repair, I am sure of this, as Back in The Day I was a Regular at Nico’s Cafe at the Junction of Cambridge Heath Road and the Bethnal Green Road, and found the Furnishings and Fixtures there Made me Feel Right at Home too! For all those who Remember it, Nico’s always made you Feel Welcome and His Food was Just Brilliant, Nico was an Amazing Person and I always found him to have a most Generous Nature, he was a Diamond of a Character and I am not Sure if Anyone Other than his Family Feels This Way, but I Sorely Miss him Being Around, I always Felt Good as After Having Eaten There and it Wasn’t Just Because I was no Longer Hungry! Two Visits Back at the Arches Café, I was Hungry and Had their Vegetarian Breakfast, it was Truly Good Value for Money, and Very Tasty too! I am quite careful when it Comes to Recommending somewhere, as I feel my Friends and Family are Important to Me, and they Deserve Very Good things and as I have been using the Arches Café for 5 weeks now I will be Highly Recommending it, but Please Keep it on the Down Low as I would like to be able to still go There, and if People find my Review Acceptable, the Arches Café may be too busy to Fit me in? Popped in on the way to London School of Music at the Pillbox. Lady serving us was lovely, tuna melt toasties and hotchocolate both excellent. Daily papers provided and service with a smile. Highly recommended!

Arches cafe. Exactly where you would expect to find it, in the arches, in Bethnal green between taxi garages. I was early for an appointment and thought I check this place out. You would expect a cafe between two taxi garages and under a train track to be a greasy cafe. This was the complete opposite. So clean from the chefs cooking areas to the tables and chairs..I had a basic eggs toast and chips. Food was hot just the way it should be, coffee was and frothy. The hosts are amazing, so welcoming. Always support local!! Will be going back..

Such a gem! Hidden between garages and underneath the train line you'll find this wonderful "diner" with an excellent choice of dishes and menus for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Clearly very popular among locals, and when you have experienced their efficiency, sweet and personal service and tasted their food, you understand why! It was a bit cheaper for us to have breakfast here than at our hotel, and the atmosphere and the quality of the food was just so much better!! We visited several times, and I cannot recommend "Arches" enough 😃 👍

Classic East London cafe, still at blue collar prices. It's not retro, it's just not changed. If you're looking for anything other than 1980s style British food, you're looking in the wrong place. To be honest, the food and coffee are about as good as you could hope for classic, working-class appropriate East London cafe. Don't expect a great latté nor artisanal eggs benedict.

Friendly welcome, authentic and good breakfast. A warm place that exudes love of service. family business. I highly recommend. I will come back to it. ps: the French brother and sister 😉
