Fun music, great vibe, bangin’ pies. What more is there to say. Lots of space indoors and on the large patio out front. Friendly, fast service. The pies (chicken and beef) were hot, crispy and delicious. Decent beer selection as well. Close to Victoria Park and the Tube, but tucked away on a quiet street. Will be back soon!

Came here on a gorgeous day on a hunch (helped by earlier reviews) and found exactly what we wanted. Nice cool and quirky interior and plenty of seating outdoors for the sun seekers. Two great cask beers and plenty of other good choices. Didn't eat this time but the pies and mash looked very appealing. Long live the camel 🐫

Visited this great east end pub again...one that I used to go to many years ago lovely place with great drinks and a lovely pie menu. Everything was very nice and we will definitely return soon. Thanks !

I've been back to see if I could give more stars, but Google won't let me. This pub is proper. A local establishment. If you don't have an interesting conversation with a total stranger here, you have likely visited when the pub was not open.

If you're going to go to one pub in east London to enjoy pie and mash, make sure it's The Camel. I first came in 2009 and over the years it's remained consistently great. Not only that, the bar staff are friendly and welcoming and eager to help. Great selection of beers on tap to accompany the pies!

Wonderful, cosy little pub. Decent selection of well-kept beers on tap. Pies look amazing but didn't have one as we were a bit tight on time. Toasties and nachos also available but menu a little limited. Very decent prices for central London. Was full when we got there, so they opened the garden for us. Will definitely return. Nice and close to the Young V&A too, so great place to visit with the family

Have died n gone to heaven. Two marvellous pubs in one day. This one is a great, great East End pub best approached via the alleyway along side from lovely Memorial Gardens alongside the V&A. Very fair pricing. Great craic. Good beer. All bound up in a fantastic standalone old building. So, so cute. In a fabulous area of Bethnal Green to explore. Go I urge you!

My favourite pub in london !!! I am a local so perhaps bias but about time I left a review after coming her countless times over the last few years. The food never misses, great little pub full of character always a great atmosphere. Amazing to side outside in summer, cozy inside in winter. One of the few places in London you can actually get a couple of drinks without remortgaging(!!!) and how could you not love their pies?? Sit and play a board game have a few drinks and a pie.

Excellent and delicious English cuisine, unbeatable in terms of price and quality, it was really delicious! The pies are incredible, bar service (required in a pub worthy of the name), a very, very good place

Great little boozer and unreal pies! Proper east end welcome from Debbie the landlady and the locals. The pies are top notch, a must when you visit. Like sitting in someone's front room, the sort of local pub that's sadly become a real dying breed. There are a few gems in the east end, this is one of them.

Why, oh why?!? I’ve lived in the area for the last 7 years and it took my brother in law to come from US and asks us to come to the Camel. My new go to place! God Bless Cameron who suggested the Moo Blue - phenomenal pie. Good selection of beers and great atmosphere all around!

Loved this place, we were looking for a poper old Eastend pub! And boy, we found a good one! It's tucked slightly off the beaten track, and drinks are reasonably priced £15 for 3 alcoholic drinks - £11 aprox for pie,mash, peas, and gravy - not bad going for London. The food was yummy, the pie crust was crispy, and the mash was perfectly smooth. Staff were lovely, attentive, and friendly. We could have spent the whole afternoon in there, definitely coming back!!

Amazing evening between friends. The food is great, loaded Nachos and delicious fungi pie. The staff was very lovely ! The only thing is the music is quite strong and you have to shout when having a conversation so sensitive/tired people beware of sensory overload

We stumbled upon The Camel walking up Globe Road. It was crowded, great atmosphere, awesome music playing. The drinks and food were just perfect.

I had a fungi chicken pie and nachos which were okay, not amazing, but good and price was decent for what you get.

What an outstanding pub. We had already eaten so didn’t eat. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! The pub was packed but the staff served us quickly and the landlady worked furiously to ensure glasses and tables were cleared quickly. The place is quite small but was rammed. It’s popular for a reason. The Five Points beer was kept beautifully and everything was reasonably priced. We’ll be back!

Visiting my son in London and had the pleasure of drinking in this gem of a proper boozer. Great atmosphere and the Guinness was almost as good as Ireland...🤣 Returned on Sunday for pie and mash and another few pints. Again not disappointed, lovely food and reasonably priced. All in all a bloody great pub! Oh and bonus~They take cash! Almost like a foreign currency in London. Be back very soon!

Nice beer, great ambiance and the menu looks great. We didn't have any food, we didn't have time but everyone says the traditional, pie-based menu looked amazing and a great selection of traditional puds too. We'll be back!

The Camel is definitely best for Pie Lovers. Various Pies menus are good enough for mouth watering. Pints are best companions that you can’t miss too. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff who gave us great service by the bar when there were no tables yet ready when first arriving. The food is very nice however, unfortunately, I was not expecting there to be no meat which was a slight shame. If you are going, prepare in advance and ensure everyone you're going with is also willing to accept vegetarian food.

More traditional pub than when I last visited over a decade ago. Comfortable vibe and my beer was under £5!!!

A nice, laid back pub with steller service, better food and great drinks. Patio is cozy and next to a small park so it offers a gentle breeze of fresh Park air. The bartender loves to sing and favors Texas in America for an unknown reason. :)

Proper little pub, amazing hospitality, great pints. Cosy, warm little inside pub and a great casual beer garden / outside area. The barmaid went out of her way to open up the outside for us when there were no seats and continuously came out to check if we needed drinks. Lovely! We came with a dog and it was welcoming and dog friendly - with a heater and awning out back too!

As tourists, we felt very welcomed by everyone and enjoyed the cozy ambiance and friendly bartenders. It quickly became our go to spot every night before going to the hotel!

Local boozer that has seen many young group come and go. Big nights celebrating and leas big ines just getting battered. Still today its a great pub. The beer offering, food and staff are top drawer. Support your local and be the next wave.

What a find , a beautiful local pub with a great vibe even on a Monday evening at 6pm , a full house and the brave or foolhardy sitting outside .!A great choice of beers and wines makes choosing your tipple difficult ! However the big house surprise is a menu offering a number of delicious pies that Desperate Dan would fight for if you were brave enough ! The pie comes with mash potato and mushy peas , I chose steak and kiddly, I meant kidney, diddly I 😂 just delicious all very reasonably priced .Undoubtedly we shall return to this oasis if only to see the Camel on the bar 😎

The Camel, and The Eagle in Farringdon, are the two best pubs in London. Brilliantly friendly staff who always accommodate the locals. You’ll find east enders of 50 years and a new generation eating, drinking and laughing together. The atmosphere is think with the stuff that only the best pubs have: community.

The Camel is a genuine east end community pub. Opening daily at noon it has a lunchtime trade of characterful, chatty old-school locals. From late afternoon the young hipster set arrive giving The Camel a busy vibrant atmosphere. The Camel is recognised for its excellent pie and mash menu.

Great pub, the staff was very nice, the pies were delicious, and also the music was good! (Oh, and you might be lucky enough to meet the house cat!)
