This used to be a really nice (albeit overly breezy) coffee shop. The abandonment of the brunch menu, massive scaling down of the salad options and limited quantity of sandwiches means that soup is now really the only thing on offer at lunch. The coffee has gone downhill and being charged full whack for coffee in a paper cup when you sit in does not sit well. The baguette that came with the soup was extremely poor quality - worse than the cheapest supermarket baguette. I hope the management changes tack; otherwise, it was good while it lasted

The service here is always quick and the coffee is always great. The baristas are always so nice and friendly (especially Arion who can remember my go-to order after only a couple of weeks of visiting!). I tried one of their cheese twists today, it was freshly baked, straight out of the oven and still warm. I won't proclaim to be a cheese twist connoisseur but it was the best cheese twist I've ever tasted! I am looking forward to trying more food at The Gentlemen Baristas East India.

This is a great cafe with high quality food and drinks, and a very friendly team. They go above and beyond to make your experience great and add a personal touch to their service. Would highly recommend for a quick coffee stop, for lunch, or for a study day with great food.

A daily favourite - great drinks, great food, and the team are really lovely. They add a personal touch to their service and there's something for everyone. Their cakes and pastries are amazing, as well as a range of hot drinks. I look forward to trying their expanded menu! 10/10 would recommend.

Laptop-busy for the office workers on the floors above. WiFi and number of tables to suit. Offers brunch and a range of baking and sandwiches. Fantastic latte art on some days, servings with no art or flavour on others.

Guys, too spicy green soup. And no any awareness about it. The place seems named not as an Indian cuisine. I like pepper, but it there are so much spices as hell. Lentil soup is good as usual

Great venue and great coffee. The staff has a great communication with the clients. It seems like they know every student on campus! The manager explained that the shop has its own roastery and they have a lot of pride in their craft. I can definitely say that the coffee is very original compared to the coffee you can get around there

Lovely atmosphere and great coffee, I would definitely recommend.

The Venue itself looks good and I love the space. However my decaf mocha was so strong and bitter. The person who served me did offer me more milk, which I accepted, however even after two additional sugars and more milk, I was unable to drink it. It takes a lot for me to throw a coffee away. It’s a shame as the coffee shop and its great reviews are what drew me to explore the area. If I do return, it won’t be for coffee…

The Venue? Couldn’t be better, it’s spacious and has a homely design perfect for studying. The Service? Amazing service every time from the wonderful servers. Coffee? Pretty dam dank tbh, love the designs. Prices? £50 for a cup is a bit expensive, but other than that it’s great.

I ordered a cappuccino and a muffin. The coffee was really good but the muffin was the worst one I’ve ever had in my life. No taste at all, been sitting in the shelf for days and very crumbly. I don’t recommend.

One of my students suggested Gentleman Barista Coffee Shop for its ambiance and genuine attempt to deliver quality coffee, so I went to have a coffee and cake. However, I was disappointed with the actual product. The size of a 'regular' coffee, by their definition, seems misleading. It's smaller than one would expect, especially for the price point of £3.5. This unfortunate mismatch between expectation and reality felt a bit like a letdown; hence the 1 star!

On the door, their sign says they close at 16:00 on Thursdays. I arrived at 15:33, but it was already closed. I guess business is slow...

The cafe owner is super cool, always friendly and very welcoming. I have been a regular at this coffee shop for years. I have always had great service and the staff is always respectful and friendly.

What a great shop! Was working from this location today and enjoyed a couple iced latte's and a delicious brunch (eggs royale). Shout out to the barista, Em, who made the iced latte's to perfection! Will absolutely be back again soon!

Wow I had a great experience today, starting with the lovely Arian on the counter that just brightens the place with his lovely smile and friendly attitude!! He's a gem 💎 I had a coffee with some chocolaty milk or some sort of .. like wow the best I ever had and their chiken sandwich and salads are just outstanding!! Highy reccomending!! 😇🙏

Was visiting London for the day and stumbled across this place! Really great coffee and friendly staff! The girl who served me was very warm and friendly. Definitely worth trying the Racer beans! Would definitely go back next time

Lovely sheek café in the same building as my university, so was really nice to come here and study in a chilled environment, whilst drinking peppermint tea. Lovely. The staff are really nice and welcoming too.

Do not visit unless you have unlimited credit on your card. For the pricing I would have expected at least a half decent coffee and cookie... not a coffee that tasted of watery milk and a cookie who was confused about its identity and didn't know if it was nutty, chocolatey, overcooked or just cardboard

They have one of the best coffee in London. I’ve visited this branch and loved how spacious it is comparing to the other branches. I’ve tried their avocado on toast and highly recommend it 👌🏻

Good quality food and oatmilk lattes. Their chicken salad is exceptional. There can be queues at 1 pm or so. I tend to stagger my lunchtime arrival to 12.30 or 1.30 for prompt service and to minimise contact time with others.

Nice coffee and the foods good as well. In the current state of affairs with covid there is plenty of room and the spacing between tables is great. The staff are friendly and efficient. Quite handy if you are working in telehouse around the corner.

I really can't work this place out.. It's super cute and the menu is nice but I have never seen any of the staff smile or even try to be friendly. It's kind of sad how much this impacts the experience and desire to go back :(

I really like this place. The coffee is good. The staff is really polite. I once had a lunch here before Covid and it was really delicious. Tried a couple of their pastries and can confirm that the brownie is a really good choice if you are a sweet tooth like me.

Always come here after I drop my son off to school. Like their cheese tomato croissant and carrot cake with a large cuppucino. Do find the food prices a little expensive. Staff are nice . Quick service.

Been here a few times whilst working nearby. On the plus side, the coffee tastes great. But the slow service and prices are pretty significant downsides. Prices are about 10% more than I’d expect to pay in central London, never mind East India. I’d rate speed of service at 4/10 overall based on my visits.

Proper coffee served here. Nice and modern place with decent quality food provided but a little overpriced Staffing: I spoke with two: one was fantastic at the till the other one who did my coffee and handed to me was rude so 50-50

Tucked away by the town hall, this is a great spot for meeting and working, or just to relax. The coffee is excellent and the cinnamon bun is delicious.

Good craft coffee, much needed for the area

I've been a fan of GB from day one (visiting Borough almost everyday for a year), and I was very excited to find this one in such a random location. However this soulless space does not do the brand justice. No batch brew available here (probably due to lack of demand) and a very badly made filter coffee (specially when paying such a high price). I would expect that anywhere else, but not at GB. The staff, though friendly, don't seem to have been trained to the high standards of the original team. The lunch spread was OK , good value. For now I will stick to their Borough and London Bridge branches. Growing is great but don't sacrifice what it took a lot of hard work to build...

Place is good and spacious with good food option, but pricey for day to day office customers. Soup I tried was not any better than the one I get in half price next door. Quantity of salad is quite less and not filling for the price. It is not a value for money place, considering the office location it is in.
