One onf the best indian takeaway in Portsmouth with quality food and friendly service. They have good hygiene record and 5 star rating. This takeaway also situated on major street of the town.

Just had a take-away for the first time from Jimmy's. Delicious. Recommended by a friend and now recommended by me.

DO NOT ORDER. I ordered 3 main dishes with rice and naan bread to go with it. The food arrived 30 or so minutes later. The delivery driver basically threw the fold into my hands and ran off, and it's not like they were busy as it was a Monday evening. After going inside to plate up we found that we where missing a main and a naan bread. So I called up the store to let them know and immediately the guy on the phone was very aggressive saying that we were not missing our food and that they don't make mistakes and that they will not give a refund for the missing items. All together the customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced, the food was mediocre, so I will not be getting food from here again.

The delivery was terrible, our bell doesn't work and we live in a house that has 2 flats, so obviously we didn't hear anything. The delivery man for some reason didn't call us, instead, at some point, we heard someone throw rocks at our 1st floor window. Then he managed to call us and I went downstairs to hear LOUD BANGING on our main door and when I tried to talk to him, he just gave me the food and ran away into his car :) The food gave us explosive diarrhea the morning after. Terrible experience overall, the prices went 2 pounds up but the experience is worse than ever.

Unusually, I had to warm the food up tonight as it was only warm. I know it's Friday so everyone orders a take a way, but tonight my order took 1 hour and 35 minutes. Could be getting a driver.

it was very poor and the chicken felt very undercooked i am supried i didnt get samonella. the service was terrible they took all of my money and did not offer a refund with verry rude waiters. overall i would rather live in war torn yemen then eat this chicken again.

We are regular's for 3 years now.. food is always top notch- generous portion and good quality always. Don't judge the place from outside- best Indian in Portsmouth!☺️

Lovely Morisa curry and garlic rice and the samosas from here are really very good.

Terrible service food turned up late and cold, had no flavour and part of the order was missing. Called and asked for the rest of our order waited an hour and it never arrived. We used to love it hear but sadly won't be using it again. Shame as we spent over £45

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Absolutely shocking service ordered through this Indian this evening half the food was missing when it turned up and paid them the full amount for the order only realised once we opened the bag to see half missing. When we called them up an abrupt very rude staff member told us we were wrong and that our entire order must have been there as apparently they don’t make mistakes like that and refused to replace the items that was delivered. Horrendous customer service we are massively out of pocket with nothing to show for it will never be ordering from this place again would rate 0 stars if i could do so. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I always use to love this place and after a year since my last order I thought I would treat myself. Ordered my meal, arrived with no chips even though my money was taken. Called them and was told I would have some chips bought out to me. Over 50 minutes later and still no chips, so I called back and was told in two minutes, I was being sent chips and onion bhajis, I said I didn't order onion bhajis, would just like the chips so we can eat our dinner. 10 minutes later still nothing then a knock at the door and the lady hands me just onion bhajis to which she quickly walks off, I called out to her to say where are the chips and she ignored me so I called them back and was told he cannot give me chips now and will sort me something next time. Food wasn't great either, very pink chicken and not as tasty as it used to be. Safe to say I won't be returning with this sort of service.

Always abit late but the curry is always amazing worth it massively

Had high expectations after the reviews but it just didn’t deliver. Food was bland and tasteless, the ‘large’ chips were a small handful of overcooked hollow potato skins, both curries (despite being completely different) tasted the same, the chapati looked like the windows had been cleaned with it with a huge hole in the middle and to top it off the mango chutney was missing. It was incredibly average at best yet still cost nearly £50. Unfortunately won’t be going again.

Cheapest quality ingredients. I’m not sure if it was really the meat I was sold. It’s one of those places that pre cooks the chicken and then throws it in warmed up sauces. If you want a quality curry go else where

Really delicious Indian takeaway. We have tried lots of takeaways in Portsmouth and tried here for the first time (as our current takeaway has put their prices up) and were so impressed. Delicious food and polite staff…… will definitely be back!

The food tasted fresh and homemade. I highly reccomend buying the paratha flatbread to eat with your delicious curry.

I did phone after 30mins & was told they have problem with a late driver. Still No apology when it arrived almost 1hr late!! Food was ok, madras meat was lovely but the chips were rubbish.

Great food that feels home cooked, delivered with a smile, every time. Also, unlike many other Indian takeaways in town, no dairy in their base gravy, so suitable for vegans and lactose intolerant people.

Chicken Bhuna was sent instead of Lamb Bhuna (my favorite) I was very disappointed as I order this regularly from Raj Dulal. This kind of thing used to happen a lot in the past, but in fairness, all my orders for a while now have been correct, up until today. I hope this is going to be a one-off.

I had chilli, garlic chicken my daughter had jalfrezi. With pilau rice, naan, chips, Poppadoms, mango and onion chutney! It was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious.

We've ordered many curries from here and they are always amazing. Sadly this time part of my order was missing, we called the restaurant to make them aware and was told they would redeliver after waiting an hour it hadn't arrived which is dissappinting.

The Rogan Gosh was merely a tomato added to the standard onion base. Well down on normal Raj Dulal quality.

Without fail, this restaurant continuously provides fresh, flavoursome, hot dishes. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with any dietary requests. I regularly order from here and recommend to all to try

This is bar far the best quality Indian takeaway in Portsmouth. The the food is always freshly cooked, piping hot and packed full of flavour using fresh ingredients. Great portion sizes and reasonably priced since the cost of living increase., compared to other takeaways. The staff are so friendly and helpful and always look after their regular customers.

Delivery driver was totally rude. Gave him £3.75 in change he looked at me like rubbish said what is that! So I told him £3.75 in change he looked disgusted walked and then came back and knocked the door to proceed to tell me I’m counting it in front of you! Really let the expirence down!

Food was fantastic as usual. One portion of chips was omitted. We didn't say anything at the time because the rest of the meal would have started to go cold while this was fixed.

The menu had a great selection of vegetarian options, and the staff were knowledgeable about the dishes and made great recommendations. The prices were a bit steep, but the food was worth it.

Sylhet was very tasty with many different flavours coming through and quality throughout. Although I selected the Hot option, it wasn't overly spicy (just below Madras/Pathia spice?) - just about right for me to appreciate the flavours. Also, the samosas were far better than the usual small offerings given elsewhere. These are pretty chunky and obviously hand made in the restaurant with plenty of filling.

Worst delivery experience I have used. Food was way over an hour late and was a big palaver just to get the delivery driver to actually locate my address which isn't hard to find! Food was lukewarm but nice. Wouldn't order again.

Loved the food as always, but recieved Chicken Tikka Korma instead of Lamb Tikka Korma. It was lovely so we didn't complain at the time, but please pay closer attention to the order in future.

Great curry, early on a Monday evening. Onion bhaji were good, curry v good, pilau rice normal. Also got a pappodum, salad without onion, onion in a separate bag (really good idea), and little pot of raita. V tasty, will order again.

Lamb samosa - so good Prawn dansak - basically just sauce tiny prawns but great flavour Naan - so good Onion bhajis - so good, so crispy and not soggy Butter chicken - basically taste like a korma, but chicken so tender Chips - good Rice - good Excellent quality and size for student meals Overall I would rate it - 9/10 They forgot our naans, so they came back with them. Great service
