This delightful little cafe is run by very generous and lovely people who are genuinely welcoming and eager to please. They serve delicious, hearty food at excellent value for money prices - in a town where most places are charging twice as much. Their cream tea is the best ever. Great coffee too. Pay a visit; you’ll be glad you did.

We dined here as a group of 7 for lunch this afternoon (plus a dog) - after we walked past a few other cafes in Falmouth, we were so glad we came upon Ragamuffins! From popping our head in to check for a table, we were greeted with an amazingly warm welcome and delicious smells of the food being handmade right at the front of the shop. The small number of staff were incredibly friendly and the lady making the sandwiches was so brilliant at ensuring our orders were correct (we'd asked to remove things from our toasties!). When the food came, we were all delighted by the incredible food, and it was made freshly so quickly! Not to mention the more-than-generous portion sizes! We loved this little cafe and will certainly popping in again next time we're on holiday in Cornwall! Thank you to the team.

Popped into the small quaint coffee shop for lunch on a warm Sunday afternoon. Very friendly welcome, nice menu choices and delicious food. Ragamuffins is a great little cafe, right in the heart of Falmouth. It is small, true, and service is not fast-food quick, true...but that is the charm. Great food, great drinks served with a smile. They've just refurbished, and I'm delighted to see them open again - very handy for us working in our office in the heart of Falmouth...and a great view of the harbour from their windows!

Ragamuffins is without a doubt my favourite cafe in Falmouth. The staff go out of their way to look after customers. Today, for example, my excitable four year old was running around and every time I was about to take a bite of my delicious toastie, I had to get up to follow her to stop her going behind the counter. The staff kept finding my daughter jobs to do so that I could eat, including carrying trays and, eventually, making cake pops. They do a good range of light lunches including sourdough toasties and Prima bakery's delicious vegan sausage rolls. Only slight drawback - no customer toilet. Still, they're getting a refurb soon, so who knows. Looking forward to going back when they reopen.

Stumbled across this café, when looking for one with views of the harbour. What a great find! The coffee was delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner and her staff were lovely too. A return visit, a couple of days later, confirmed that the coffee was much tastier than anything that I've ever bought from more well known coffee shops. I also sampled one of the homemade scones, that I heard being recommended by another customer. I'm so glad that I did! It was the best one that I'd bought in years - very light and tasty - perfect!

Stopped in to take a break whilst exploring Falmouth. My can of diet coke felt a little overpriced but all was forgiven when I saw the cake. Oh my. We had treacle tart. I was pleased to see a sign outside saying gluten free cream teas. There was also a sign saying all food and drink can be takeaway so I went in and asked if I could takeaway a gluten free cream tea and was refused. The excuse was, they are saved for people sitting in but if there was any left at the end of the day they may sell them to walk-ins. Very disappointing, I don’t know what the difference is between selling it me for takeaway rather than sitting in as it is still a sale.

Falmouth is teeming with "artisan", hipster, funky cafés. This is, refreshingly, not one of them. I popped in this afternoon to grab a quick sandwich after work. It was after 2pm so not busy. At first, staff were friendly and the selection of cakes in the window looked great so I had no reason to think it would be anything less than great. I looked at the sandwich selection on the blackboard and choose a ham salad sandwich. I was shocked to see that it cost £5 but assumed that it must be a great sandwich for the price so kept quiet. The lady that initially served me asked what salad I would like, I said 'everything except onion'. She then explained this to her male colleague who would make the sandwich. The selection of salad in the display cabinet was very limited (pre-chopped lettuce, a couple of pre-chopped bits of pepper, tomatoes and cucumber) but at this stage I did not know if there would be more supplies in another fridge so again I kept quiet. He asked me if I would like white or wholegrain, I opted for wholegrain. I was talking to my friend and when I looked back I saw he had buttered 2 slices of basic, supermarket-bought, thin sliced wholemeal bread (not wholegrain) and was layering it with the salad (of which he had to ask me to repeat my choices) he then took out this, cheap-looking supermarket-bought, wafer thin ham and put 2 slices on. I stood there for a minute, as I very rarely complain, and by this point the sandwich was nearly made. Then I looked at my friend who was clearly thinking the same: £5 for that?!?! I admit I spent a minute battling with my own politeness, then stepped forward and asked the gentleman if they were using their standard ingredients as I was shocked of the lack of quality for £5. I explained that my local sandwich shop is £1 cheaper for the same sandwich and uses the absolute best ingredients with a variety of salad options. The lady, who was busy with something, scoffed and said 'those are our prices' almost incredulous that I'd had the cheek to ask. The man was more diplomatic and explained that they had to strike a balance with costs and prices, which I completely understand but if you're going to charge premium prices then you need to offer premium ingredients. He then said it was completely up to me if I wished to pay or leave the sandwich and I politely said I really didn't wish to be rude but could not justify spending £5 on such a poor qualify sandwich. He said that was fine. The lady, however, chimed in again with 'you could have said something before he put the ingredients in'. I have to say, that was very poor. That sandwich must have cost them around 50p to make with the prices of the ingredients they used and yet she was annoyed that I exercised my consumer rights to chose not to spend £5! I work in customer service too, and if I ever dreamed of speaking to a customer like that I would be reprimanded. If I hadn't said anything, I certainly wouldn't have been back. So what's more important? The loss of 50p, or the valuable feedback that could prevent many other customers from putting up with it but not returning?? My opinion is that they are a cake and coffee shop, which from the looks of it they do very well, but the sandwiches are an afterthought - my advice, don't bother. Stick to what you do well and improve your customer service. I love supporting local businesses, but on this occasion I went to the nearest chain coffee shop and bought a roasted vegetable and halloumi sandwich on rosemary focaccia for £3.95, although it wasn't freshly made, it was far superior.

This cafe is very quaint and welcoming, the food is also amazing I had a wonderful sandwich which was humus, caramelised onion, mixed leaves and cheese. This was a weird mix I made off the menu and they did it straight away with no fuss and it was the best sandwich I have had in a while!

Popped into Ragamuffins for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The owners are warm and welcoming, the food beautiful and the cakes are incredible! Felt relaxed and relieved to rest in such a lovely place. Pricey, but a lot more reasonable than some of the other Falmouth eateries.

Buono il servizio e discreta la jacket potato. Il toast un po bruciato ma la cosa negativa che non ha il bagno. Assurdo, devono provvedere.

We visit this little coffee/tea shop, annually when in Falmouth during our holidays. It is quite small but a welcome haven from the rain and on any day of the year the view from the rear window, which overlooks Falmouth harbour, is lovely.

We were walking round in Falmouth and decided to stop there for a piece of cake and a cappuccino and tea we got a table with a small window so we could look out over the car park and watched the large cargo ship plus there was a nice breeze coming in.

My partner and I came here with our 7 month old baby. They have a high chair which is great. Lovey view of the harbour and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Staff were incredibly pleasant, Jessica and manager who chased us down after leaving our baby bag are two of the best in Falmouth. We had cream teas which were impeccable and only £9 for the two. Only negative is no toilet but we were made aware of this before and there are some near by.

Very, very lovely staff. Very chatty, helpful and charming but the service was very slow considering we only had sandwiches and nobody else was in the cafe! This didn't matter as we weren't in a rush. The busker outside was, well, interesting. Apparently he's a local legend!

We visited today with our baby daughter. I don't eat dairy but was happy to find out all but one of the delicious homemade cakes were dairy free! Some were also gluten free. Chocolste cake was heavenly, hubby had a cream tea which also went down very well! The owners were so helpful and friendly. Only downside being no toilet but luckily this didn't affect us. Cash only so get money out first.

We were attracted to this cafe by the display of lovely cakes in the window. We both chose the coffee and walnut cake which was delicious. The tea was the usual selection and thatvwas fine. Not sure about the coffee though as it seemed to be from a dispensing machine rather than barista style.

My partner and I stopped into Ragamuffins as a bit of a breather for her. She is heavily pregnant and was in some discomfort and Ragamuffins appeared just like a comforting stranger.

We only popped in for a drink, but I would say that the cappacino's that we had were far superior to those served at the likes of Starbucks

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

Haven't stayed, but excellent range of well-kept cask ales including normally a couple from Penzance Brewing Co in Crowlas, near Penzance.

What a gem! We had no idea where to go for lunch but chose the shed; a great choice! The steak was so good and the sole cooked to perfection. Great wine, appetisers and dessert to boot. Fantastic value and the service was great Thank you so much.
