Typically displaying that their heart and sole as a village Baker and despite being closed during the current lockdown situation they turned out on Good Friday and delivered free hot cross buns to villagers.These buns were welcome and deliciously bakery fresh. Thank you to you all.

Othery seems proud of its bakery, as it was very busy every morning we were there, and virtually sold out by the afternoons. Like the village pub (The London Inn) it’s not pretentious, but serves good value, good quality food with a smile.

Great breakfast and really fresh food including take away rolls, pies etc, their bread is to die for, a little gem in the heart of the Somerset Levels.

We were staying at Little England Retreats and popped over the road for bacon sandwiches. Lovely food even a couple of tables and chairs inside. Well worth visiting, staff really friendly too. Parking outside or across the road. One little tip though, could do to have opening times outside, the sign is not visible when the shutter is down, may lose customers because of this as they will have no idea when you are open.

Church RoadWe had a great Carvery lunch on a Sunday a couple if weeks ago. There were 9 people plus a dog and this was accommodated very easily. Service and food was very nice and we'll definitely go back again.

42 Main RoadSuperb atmosphere, the best steak I’ve had in my life! (10oz fillet) chef was so down to earth and welcoming - showed us different cuts of steak and told us about their source. Went above and beyond for service - orders taken quickly and all staff friendly and polite. Felt a very cosy and happy little village pub. Will definitely be back for more steak and the fresh salad bowls that come with it! :) Thank you so much ☺️

Bower LaneStayed for the North Petherton Carnival. Finding the place was tricky due to road closures due to a building development and the website instructions are only helpful if you know the area. Booked a superior room but were allocated a mini self caterjng apartment with mini kitchen, overlooked fields but TV in lounge area meant watching in bed not possible. Fresh milk in fridge would have been nice. Good shower cubicle and decent toiletries. We didn't eat but breakfast was nice even with the £4.50 supplement for full English.

1 Castle StreetThis was the worst meal any of us ever had we can not recommend the place cream in scones where off the sandwiches where stale salad was past it’s best coffee was bitter definitely not a place to spend a nice afternoon
