Lovely food as usual & great service 👍

Went tonight for a meal six of us. The service was very slow and a few meals were sold out not very impressed plus the deserts are very expensive

Celebration of my wife's birthday. Food was amazing and fresh. Table service was good and professional. A great atmosphere making it a fantastic family meal.

Not quite it's usual high standards. Hope it is just a small bump in the road.

Went here for a pint before heading into Cheadle, the lady behind the bar was lovely, we didn't eat but the food looked so good we booked in for the next day :) well priced for the area and would go back. It opens 12pm and closes around 2pm then reopens at 6pm again

The Queens is an independent dining venue with actual named chefs! A nicely blended mix of a pub atmosphere with a more formal restaurant edge. You're made welcome and well looked after the second you step in, making it a more personal experience. The menu isn't massive, but it's varied and there's a great specials board, often with a selection of fish dishes that you don't tend to find in similar pub restaurants. They use quality ingredients and it shows.

I visited with a group of friends for a Christmas get together. Was very disappointed! Very expensive for what it was! No atmosphere at all. Will be a long time, if ever, before I go again.

Had a table for 17 for a 70th birthday party. The service was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough to help even with special requests. The food was amazing and everyone praised their meal. I would definitely recommend this venue and will certainly return.

Very relaxing experience, plenty of room between tables, will definitely go again.

The first time we had amazing food, friendly staff with a nice atmosphere, great little place. Had to go again within the week as the food was so nice. I would book as it's small and very popular.

We ate off the specials menu tonight. The food was top class. The standard menu is good honest fare at a good price in a pleasant environment but when the the chef can extend himself to what produce is available at the time he can really showcase his talent. The meal tonight would have been good value at twice the price.

A real find. Lovely friendly welcome, a buzzy atmosphere. Comfortable and spacious seating and great clean decor. Food was imaginative and delicious but sadly so full, we didn't have room for dessert. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at The Queen's at Freehay and it was an incredible experience. The owner, Adrian, and the chef were amazing and even accommodated our request for a special dessert. The meal and atmosphere were perfect. All of our guests gave glowing feedback, with one even saying it was the best meal they've had in a long time! The entire day was flawless and we highly recommend The Queen's at Freehay for any special occasion or just a nice meal out. Nice lunch off the light bite menu for £7 About 6 choices on this menu and the portion size was good for lunch but you can have off the main menu too. It was a little noisy as there was a big party in but the atmosphere was nice. The pub is small but bright with a nice decor. Beer garden was nice on a sunny day with around 5 tables. Service was good and we didn't wait long for our food to arrive. Would go again.

The food was pretty good to be honest. Our group had a selection of mains and it all went down well. We didn't like the Eton mess and this was dealt with very professionally. So we would give a thumbs up.

Lovely lunch the Beef and Merlot pie was delicious. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and comfortable surroundings. Will definitely return.

We visited tonight. We are staying at Quarry Lodges and were recommended by the staff to come here. We were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was good and the food was excellent! Would highly recommend this place.

We had some amazing food here. Felt like a family run place but the quality was top notch. We were staying the quarry walk lodges near by and wanted a meal out and glad we stopped buy. We had 3 courses which shows how much we liked it

Nice place to eat. However if you are one of perhaps 10 people you have tables pulled in a row. Therefore you can only speak comfortably to the people on the opposite side to you.

Five of us went on mother's Day for a meal, everything thing was first class the food the staff the atmosphere I couldn't fault it,and as a finishing touch the mothers were give a potted flower to take home,the last nice touch I thought was the proprietor saying thankyou for coming,its things like this that makes your restaurant stand out thankyou

Amazing food, Amazing Staff and cosy atmosphere, great little place

Family gathering of 8 adults plus a 2yr old. Very welcoming Staff, who promptly served us drinks and gave us Menus to study, plus several tempting 'specials' on the board. Orders taken and we were shown to our table. Food arrived soon afterwards, and it's fair to say that everyone, without exception, was very happy with the quality and quantity. We were all full, so skipped desserts, but they sounded very tempting (another time perhaps). To sum up, this was a very pleasant lunch experience. All members of Staff were very personable and we would all return if in the area again. (We were staying in a holiday cottage about 4 miles away).

Cracking little pub, turned mostly over to dining tables. So, more of a restaurant than pub. However, it offers two or three real ales alongside the normal stuff. Food looks lovely and it books up quickly, which gives you an idea of how good it is. Great staff.

Wonderful place. Very friendly and very reasonably priced. The food was so tasty and plentiful. The homemade burger and the chicken and leak crumble were so tasty. I would highly recommend this place. Top quality and value for money!

My Wife has been a few times and likes it.

We have visited here for lunch on a Saturday three times now. Great choices on the menu with a specials board available too. Each time the food has been, well cooked, beautifully presented and delicious. We shall definitely be visiting again in the future. The staff are lovely, polite helpful and professional. The setting is very peaceful and quiet. A rather unspoilt charming place.

We have just been up at Quarry Walk for our Honeymoon. Our first night we went to The Queens at Freehay, what fabulous reception. The staff were so sweet and friendly, the food was out of this world delicious. We want to say a massive thank you to Laura and Grace for making our first night of our honeymoon the best it could have been. Especially to Laura for our lift home which was above and beyond.

Lovely service and the food is great. Love going there for special occasions. Booked for December and can't wait.

On the way back from Alton towers, we were looking for a place to eat, and find this amazing pub. The quality of food was great and decent pricing.

5 stars plus extra on top. We dined today for a belated birthday and anniversary meal and everything is absolutely fantastic. from the owners,the waitresses to the outstanding food. You are made to feel extremely welcome, the food is out of this world,I personally recommend the lamb shank, absolutely packed full of flavour. We shall be back very soon. If you're after a welcoming, cosy place to eat,you won't go wrong booking a table at this little hidden gem in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

I first visited The Queens 42 years ago when I started at JCB. Obviously it has changed over the years and is now a very pleasant pub/restaurant with a good range food and drinks. I recommend booking in advance.

Never disappointed same quality and service everytime, we enjoy a meal at the Queen's Arms and would highly recommend them, thank you.

Had the Salmon fish of the day main, was delicious, followed by lemon meringue. The lemon meringue didn't have enough meringue for my liking, but was good none the less. The sticky toffee pudding and raspberry cheesecake others had gave me serious pudding envy. Would highly recommend the fish of the day. Prices seemed good.

Firstly called in just for drinks and had a lovely welcome we looked at the menu and booked a couple of days later. I thought the menu was just a bit different from other pubs we ve visited recently and I can honestly say the food was amazing I had shredded duck starter which came out already constructed in individual serving pots . I had my main from the specials board which was pan fried trout and my dessert was just divine . I couldn’t fault the service of the staff and the chef is a credit to the owner The rest of my party all felt the same We will definitely be back

Wonderful. Went looking for a pub lunch today while the kids were at Alton Towers….I got really lucky. Great food, generous portions, fair prices, lovely staff and pleasant toilets too lol! Special mention for Gemma who was a delight from my walking in to leaving a happy stone heavier! Cheers to all at the Queen’s, see you next time.
