Very good place for a coffee. Do not bother with food, one poor chap there had very very burnt sausages!! Our meal was OK ish took so long in coming out we had to ask when we were getting it or had they forgotten . There were only 8 people in the whole place so it was not as if it was busy!!! Perhaps we will visit again (NOT).

Hit and miss. Wait staff on weekends are very young and mostly clueless. It's not service so much as lovely kids putting plates on tables. No checking for drinks, or even cutlery/napkins. No follow up to order puddings. Each time we went we would have had an extra course or more drinks but just weren't asked. When the kitchen is working the food is excellent. But then you might book to go for lunch the next time and get slops on a plate, because 'latest excuse'. Didn't even warn us that our choices were unavailable, just took the order and delivered what they had. We won't be going back again. If quality is so vastly inconsistent then we'll spend our limited treat funds where we can be sure of a lovely meal out together.

Disappointed. Booked for dinner on a night when a band played. Band played from7pm, they were excellent ( High points) but too loud for size of venue. Couldn't have much of a conversation above it. Menu consisted of choice of 3 pizzas! That was it! Average pizzas , average service. Some locals decided to have a huge firework display mid way through our visit ( not the fault of venue at all) so it was rather like sheltering from a raging battle going on around us.

Wonderful Quirky Cafe - Don’t miss it! This was my second visit to this cafe and once again I was highly impressed by the original ambience and the superb food. First visit was Amarican Breakfast which was delicious and beautifully presented. The decor is lovely with no two things matching and coloured umbrellas across the ceiling - I loved it! (Can you tell?)

This place has so much potential!! The food we have had has been amazing and the coffee is delicious I do think the service needs to improve, if you have time.on your hands no problem !! Also the outdoor area needs a good tidy up and clean ! A quirky place with a great vibe.

Very disappointed on our visit today . Iced drinks not available as excuse that the freezer couldn’t be opened . No ordinary bread only sour dough. Pepper in pepper pot solid when I removed the lid to my absolute horror was mouldy which I have never seen in my lifetime !! I love music but it was so loud you could not think .. The Young Waiter was very apologetic, but there was no offer of compensation for a really bad experience. I would not recommend anybody to use this cafe .

Purevida just off the A143 between Harleston and Bungay always appears to be busy. The café is very dog friendly, and this may be the reason. The food and the coffee are ok, but the service can be a bit slow. You get the feeling more staff are required to clear tables and speed up the service. Will visit again and hope service has improved.

We've visited several times, always hoping it might get better and it hasn't. If you like waiting for an eternity for just a menu, being ignored when you ask for one and the most vile bitter coffee then this place is for you. Otherwise there are some fabulous places in Harleston that are really worth a visit

We called in today hoping to have a lovely lunch and a couple of drinks. Was seated with a little chap who bless was about 10. The Son I believe who is running it, loves his wooley hat and long fringe, he seems to be touching it all the time. Not a great start. Got seated and my partner had to go over and ask for a menu as nobody brought it over.. Soup one choice. Sandwiches unfortunately what we wanted, did not have... Have not updated there paper menu since Christmas. Tables with lots of dirty plates wine and beer glasses left . Had our drinks tried to give the young man some advice. Did not want to listen . Sorry you seem to know it all. Will never go back. And the plants in your garden area are mostly dead. Employ good staff and your business might survive.

If you want to visit a cafe that: provides mediocre expensive food and drink; during the cold weather outdoor clothing is needed whilst sitting inside; has background music so loud, that even when grudgingly turned down, conversation with someone sitting next to you is extremely difficult; has staff that is at best miserable or at worst surly; then the Pura Vida should be your destination of choice. However if you want to visit an establishment that is welcoming and appreciates their customers there are several to choose from in the area.

The coffee here is very good but could be served hotter. My latte was warm and I drank it quickly before it got cold. The sandwiches are made of sourdough and the bread is tough at best, bordering on stale. No garnish with sandwiches just half a dozen rocket leaves. I expected more for the cost. Won’t be calling in again.

Good coffee. Cheese scone smelted in the microwave: inedible. Noise from the main road very intrusive, despite thumping music, which just does somehow not seem appropriate for a Summer afternoon in Suffolk. Everything felt a bit amateurish and disorganised. Maybe it is better in the evenings.

I think this is a shame but it is probably the worst cafe I have ever been to. Firstly the menu is covered in green blobs indicating that the items marked are suitable for vegetarian or vegans this is a choice people make. My partner is gluten intolerant which is a medical condition and there is no mention of it anywhere. We had to ask and the choice for her is miserable. We however ordered our food and waited ages for it. I became aware that they were short staffed but it probably wasn’t helped by one of the team having lunch at 1.30 and another leaving with her coat on not to be seen again. When the food did arrive it was obviously not hot but we had no cutlery, I went to the counter to find that the trays were empty. After eventually finding someone to fill the trays I waited for quite a few minutes before someone came out and said that the cutlery was in the dishwasher and it shouldn’t be long, it was long, at that point we returned the cold food and got a full refund. This is the first time I have ever done that, I’m not normally fussy but this was very poor. The one good thing was the bottle of Fanta.

Absolutely fantastic 8 course tasting menu! Everything was delicious and well executed. Nick was great, he looked after us all night. It was lovely to see the chefs coming out with the food to explain the dishes. Would highly recommend well done

If you want burgers, pie, pizza, fish&chips also on our table location - on a busy food/pedestrian pass- plus a classy constant ‘C bomb’ dropping female barfly atmos - then this the place for you! Used to be great - what the heck has gone wrong? No specials, no drinks service, no enquiry as to if everything was ok (maybe too embarrassed to ask!). Great family (away from the classy barfly) ‘cafe/burger joint - but not a couples restaurant - maybe a commercial choice but not for us sadly anymore.

A lovely place to stop off for a filling bite to eat, with a large assortment of sweet and savory dishes and snacks on the menu. Friendly staff that don't 'overdo it', whilst ensuring a relaxed and attentive service. May be more pricey when ordering for groups of people, but individually it is worth the money. The selection of food we bought was recieved positively, cooked well to order with large and ample amounts, which recieved strains of 'oohs' and 'aahs' of satisfaction, especially towards crispy, flavoursome Scampi, and vinegar-coated, chunky chips. Very pleased with service, food, and cafe layout itself. Only issue is towards prices of drinks, but that can't be helped much due to inflation. All round good experience, leaving us full until the afternoon.
