Fantastic meal and service for a family celebration. We all really enjoyed our main meals and managed to find room for a delicious pudding! Really friendly staff and will definitely be visiting again. Would highly recommend.

Visited with my children and parents for Mother's Day. Had a lovely roast dinner and delicious sticky toffee pudding. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the pub had a good atmosphere. My Mum and I were given a little Mother's Day gift of chocolates after our meal which was a nice touch.

We had a fabulous time. From the initial welcome where they recognised the name on the booking and took us straight to the table to the last interaction the staff were prompt, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was excellent, the food outstanding and overall the evening was really memorable for all the right reasons. It was busy but a nice bustling busy rather than feeling like the place was over-stretched. It had absolutely no impact on the service we received which was excellent in every way. Highly recommend! We will go out of our way to visit again

My partner and I had a lovely evening meal here next to the fire. The food was great quality and service was excellent. Well worth a visit for a meal. The Trivia Pursuit cards at the table was also a great idea!

I visited with my mother in law following a walk around Blenheim grounds. The staff were all so friendly and professional, they’re all a real credit to the pub ! The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced too plus so many veggie & vegan options if you need. I’m fairly local and ashamed to say this was my first visit but it won’t be my last !

We were lucky enough to get the last table for Sunday lunch today, the pub was super busy but the food and the service were still first class. Punchbowl Woodstock, you never disappoint!

We met friends here for lunch. It is a lovely pub. Light and airy with a lovely atmosphere and great service. The food was amazing. We had the chicken kebabs, gammon and a burger and all were great. So glad we found it, just sorry we didn’t have room for pudding!

Enjoyed a wonderful visit with the family. We all enjoyed a lovely lunch and I was particularly delighted by the range of gluten free items on the menu and the great GF beer. All the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Would highly recommend and already looking forward to our next visit when we are in the area!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Buzzy with a lovely atmosphere. Rump steak perfectly cooked and lots of trimmings and the chocolate brownie for dessert was by far the best I’ve ever had! Good job I’m not local otherwise I’d be in here all the time! Wonderful hosts and staff. Could not recommend enough.

Great place. We come often and always get great food and service. Lovely in winter as have real fires. If a group book the window table. If a couple enjoy the trivial pursuit cards on each table. Dogs well catered for and welcome so great after a winter walk

The Punchbowl was an ideal stay to visit Blenheim Palace. Quaint Pub in the centre of the gorgeous village. Short walk to Palace gates. Great pub food, lovely staff and super clean rooms (thank you Jenny). Comfy bed. Room over the street had traffic noise by day but very quiet at night.

Call in here on a Monday night and was quite surprised how busy it was with lots of the tables already booked. The waitress found us a table for two quite close to the bar. The food menu was typical to that of pub food with plenty of selection. I had the belly pork and my wife had a pizza. The food was ok but not fantastic but it's what you would expect being pub food. Nice touch with the trivial pursuit cards on the table. Hadn't played the game for years.

Yet another fantastic meal at The Punchbowl. I went for the Mushroom Bourgnignonne Pie on this occasion which was wonderfully warming on a wet and somewhat miserable day. Yum, yum!

We visited The Punchbowl Inn on our way to Stratford-upon-Avon due to favourable reviews on TripAdvisor. Trudi enjoyed a traditional roast rump of mature beef Sunday Lunch with all the trimmings and I went for the breaded whole tail scampi. Both were excellent! For a tourist area, the prices were exceptionally reasonable, and the municipal car park was conveniently located just a few yards away meaning that there was plenty of space. Amazingly in this day and age, the car park was COMPLETELY FREE and there were no less than TWELVE EV charging points available at a very competitive price, so we came back to a fully charged car too!! WINNER! TripAdvisor did it again for us!!

Second visit to Woodstock and with so many excellent places to eat, we'd missed out on this hotel/ inn/ pub restaurant last time. Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. I had the chicken shaslik kebab and naan, delicious. Excellent wine, £9.95 for a 250ml. Won't miss out next time.

We visited the Punch Bowl without a booking and were taken to a table immediately. We were served by Rhiannon and Kaelyn. I had a pint of Arkells Best Bitter and my wife a double Captain Morgans spiced rum and coke. We both chose the Chicken and Mushroom pie with chips and dressed salad. This was homemade and excellent. I had the homemade Toffee Apple crumble with custard and my wife the ice cream and sorbet. Both again were excellent, but the service by Rhiannon and Kaelyn was even better - a credit to the pub and more especially themselves. As and when we are in Woodstock again, we shall definitely visit the Punch Bowl.

Dear Masons Team, I’m writing to express my disappointment following a visit to your restaurant last night (Friday), where we dined as a group of six to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of expectations on multiple fronts, both in terms of food quality and service. To begin with, we ordered the tart, which we were told was unavailable — not an issue on its own, but the beginning of a string of letdowns. The fish and chips arrived with the fish visibly burnt. When I raised this with a member of staff, rather than replacing the dish or offering an apology, the response I received was: “Is it edible?” — not exactly the standard of customer service one would hope for. When I asked for clarification about the “half a kilo pot of prawns,” I was met with a dismissive and sarcastic tone from a waiter who thought he was being amusing, telling me they were “half peeled.” When the dish arrived, none of the prawns were peeled — neither fully nor partially. I sent the dish back and, to your credit, was offered a prawn cocktail as a replacement. The liver dish arrived cut into small pieces resembling bacon lardons — unexpected and unappealing in presentation. The half chicken served was far smaller than what one would reasonably expect for a dish described that way. The Caesar salad at £10 was underwhelming, consisting of little more than a small plate of lettuce. And the so-called bowl of chips? A plate with perhaps a dozen chips on it, if that. While I understand that it was a busy Friday evening over the Easter weekend, the service was noticeably slow, and overall the meal was a major letdown. I do appreciate that a bottle of wine was offered as a gesture, but this was cold comfort when most of the meals were either poorly executed or not as described. This was meant to be a celebratory evening, and instead it became an exercise in frustration. Sadly, we won’t be returning, and I felt it important to provide honest feedback so that you’re aware of how this experience was received. Kind regards, [Your Full Name] [Optional: Contact

We had a delicious Sunday roast and vegetable chickpea pie and mac and cheese for the kid, all of which were very good. The atmosphere and staff were also really great. We really enjoyed our lunch here at the pub.

The burger was a bit burnt which ruined the overall flavour but the chips were nice and service good. Nice atmosphere in the pub garden.

Three phone conversations with the hotel management eventually confirmed that a Sunday roast could be obtained in the Terrace resturant. A table for 7 was booked and confirmed. On arrival the Terrace resturant was set up for a wedding ceremony. No other dining tables were apparent. On querying this with bar staff we were abruptly told "not our problem".Eventually found a deputy manager who set about laying up a dining table amongst the wedding guests ! Meanwhile we tried other local venues but couldn't get in within our timescale. We eventually sat for our anticipated Sunday lunch in a crowded golf club bar surrounded by a multitude of wedding guests. The food was obviously recently pulled out of the freezer, looked and tasted same ! HOPELESS !!We recommend training for front of house management in the art of coordination and courtesy for members of the bar staff.

We had a really, really nice meal here. It was a Friday night and we didn't know we'd be able to go out beforehand so had not made a booking. We were grateful to be accommodated and the atmosophere was very friendly. Also, I was recommended a lager that was absolutely delicious.
