I am not a coffee snob but the Americano I had is easily the weakest most tasteless coffee of my life. I poured it away. Friendly staff though.

I purchased a decaf coffee and a pasty. The counter staff, a man and a woman, were rude and disinterested. I asked Jody (the male) if he could give the pasty “a zap in the microwave” as it was chilled. He unwrapped it and placed it in the microwave with his bare hands. While it was heating he was biting his right index finger nail. He then proceeded to remove the pasty with the same bare hand and put it in a paper bag. Then…. It gets worse. He makes my coffee and while it was brewing he picked up the lid for the cup (of course with the hand that had been in his mouth) then he transferred the lid to his left hand while he reached up under his shirt to scratch his lower back with his right hand. He THEN transferred the lid back to his right hand , his fingers all over the mouth-hole and inside of the lid, he then folded his arms over each other, still holding the lid and tucked it under his arm up by his armpit. Then he placed the lid on the cup and said there you go. Being a professional chef, chocolatier and baker I highly recommend you train staff in simple “do’s and don’ts” at the very least. The cafe is disgusting.

missed a Train so stopped for lunch. both pemade sandwich was stale around the edges. although in date till the next day.... both me and my daughter have been unwell today. and worried this us why. never using train cafes again

Fantastic teamwork from the crew this morning who were thrown in the deep end by me asking for a flat white in exactly one minute (as my train was approaching). It was a joy to watch them work. One heated the milk, the other tilled me up then poured the coffee as soon as the steam wand was removed. It was like watching an artfull dance. Unfortunately it took them 1 min 03 seconds to fulfil my order and I missed my train - only joking - they were amazing, and are every time I visit. Thank you

Having made the same journey in mid January, & having had such great service then, I was very disappointed by 2 totally disconnected female staff, who clearly didn’t want to be there. I asked for a large white americano & was told no large cups.I wanted a splash of oat milk was an extra 50p. I work for a business that sells a premium coffee & we don’t charge extra for milk, nor should you. On the strength of yesterdays visit, I won’t return

Over priced poor quality coffee. It tasted like we were drinking a cup of hot milk. When staff questioned, they commented it was because we had decaffeinated coffee, which is a load of rubbish as always drink decaff and do not have this problem elsewhere. Avoid here. Would not go here!!

Terrible service. Asked for a Cornish pasty I bought here to be heated. Then had to ask again as the member of staff ignored me. They appeared to put it in the toaster for a minute, but when I got it it was stone cold. Also didn't put chocolate sprinkle on the cappuccino. I had to ask. And throughout the whole transaction the member of staff did not say a word to me.

I paid for a coffee with a £10 note, and was gicen change for £5. When I queried this the man serving me got extremely rude anc abusive, claiming that I was accusing him if theft. He aggressively demanded that his colleague check the till, which was up a few pounds. He was incredibly rude and aggressive and I can see from other reviews rhat this is not the first time this has happened. I'm physically shaking writing this. I've lost £5 because of this

If there was some sort of award for rudeness, the young man working here on the afternoon of Sat 26 October should be at the front of the queue. Having ignored me for a while, he grudgingly served me a couple of snacks. No more than a minute later (he had served one other person in the interim) I decided I needed a warming drink. I asked if I could grab a coffee too and he said ‘what? As well as what?’. Not expecting him to remember me (I’ve worked in shops too, I know it can be a blur) I explained I’d just bought a couple of items from him. Rolling his eyes, he said ‘well what then, what type of coffee do you want?’. I wish I could adequately explain the level of disdain and irritation he conveyed. I’ve never before changed my mind about ordering something but quite frankly I felt really offended so left. Pumpkin management, you need to get staff with even a little bit of customer service training. Worst one I’ve ever been to, I’m afraid.

Attempted to get coffee on Sunday, tried chatting and having a joke with staff member, very rude, paid for my coffee on my card then noticed she was using fully skimmed milk only, asked if that's all she had, grumped something, so I said no, sorry didn't want it, she grumped and mumbled for Christ sake, this was with people in a que behind me, I walked away. After the qué had got I went back and asked for the managers number, she asked why, so I told her the reason, that I can't drink skimmed milk, that I should have been informed firstly that that's all they had and she was rude, she kept saying I'm sorry with hands waving and crying, I then tried to tell her to forget about the managers name and just leave, few minutes later while on the platform we could hear screaming and shouting that she was going to kill herself, kept screeching and screaming, banging things around, it got so bad that the station manager had to close the coffee shop down, Very unprofessional of Pumpkin management to leave a vulnerable person in charge of a busy shop dealing with the public, other customers had noticed earlier that the girl in question was not coping,very bad on you pumpkin

Paid for a frappe at £4.59, before the woman said she was out of frappe mix and couldn’t issue a refund. She gave me a blended iced latte instead, which wasn’t a suitable substitute as A) there was way too much coffee in it as opposed to a frappe, so I disliked it and couldn’t drink it, and B) cost £2 cheaper than what I paid for.

Warmly greeted by Lee and his staff who are always smiling, despite the early hour and ready with warm smiles, jokes and fantastic customer care. As for the coffee, that’s too of a high standard. Always warm, reasonably priced and ready to go. A must pit stop for all, highly recommended.

They have updated the rolls for the bacon rolls that they sell and I have to recommend you to try them , very fresh and tasty. They offer a choice of sauces including Brown and Tomatoe. As usual the staff were amazing. Well worth a visit I.

Visit here very often on my way to work, very early in the morning. The staff always friendly and upbeat - as I walk through they have started my coffee so that when I get to the counter I just pay and pick up. I don’t have that service anywhere else. For people who get up early most days and work long hours they are a credit to this company and should be recognised and rewarded for that.

Siempre sonriente y lleno de risas: puede tratar con clientes que pueden ser muy exigentes y motivar a un pequeño equipo de amigas que lo respaldan. No tengo más que admiración por las personas que trabajan en la industria de servicios: largas horas, comienzos tempranos y personas a las que les gusta quejarse de cualquier cosa. I asked for a coffee, after receiving it, from the “manager” no less, I asked for a cardboard slip to prevent hot coffee burning my hands, he refused me to begin with, after challenging him, he made me wait a minute or two! Narrowly missing my train. This is aweful service. It’s a shame as I frequently used this coffee shop. The female staff are amazing and kind, managers like this should not be allowed to work in public places dealing directly with customers! It’s aweful. Apparently they are not suppposed to give out these slips for money saving? I think this is rubbish

I went to purchase a coffee yesterday on my way walking in my elderly nan called me, having come out of hospital the night before it was a pretty important conversation to be had before I jump on the train to go to work. As I approached the coffee counter there were 2-3 people in front of me. As I approach to order my coffee, without being given the change to ask my nan to wait a moment whilst I ordered the man looked at my with such disgust and attitude and said infront of everyone 'I don't serve people on the phone' I'm sorry but in such a place where people are commuting people taking phone calls are to be expected. I'm not one to usually be on my phone on my approach to transact with somebody but my nans health is obviously vitally important and to be met with such an awful attitude from the staff member was highly humiliating. There is a way to speak to a customer and it certainly was not that! It's safe to say I will not be going back!

Visita aquí la mayoría de los días en mi viaje para trabajar en Londres. Siempre muy temprano y cuando entro me ven y cuando llego al mostrador, mi café está hecho y siempre es un poco de broma. Tengo un café solo y sabe muy bien, siempre. Nunca he tenido ninguno de los problemas que otros parecen tener. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente.

This place has a loyalty card scheme for their over priced coffee. When the card was full I went to cash it in and ordered a flat white. They said that wasn't included in the offer. I asked why and they said because it is a 'speciality' coffee. Surely it is just coffee and milk like any other coffee? I told them the card simply said 'free medium hot drink'. They finally had to grudgingly admit they were wrong but by this time my train was about to leave so no time for coffee. Miserable, argumentative staff with limited knowledge of what they are doing.

Visit here on a regular basis, The staff are super friendly and the food and drinks excellent. If you need a coffee at Fratton station this is THE destination. Located inside the train station you have stunning views of the ticket office and the car park. For entertainment the fruit machine and tables cannot be beaten. Located so close to the platform its just a short walk to your train. Avoid the rush by getting here early as sometimes its tricky to get a table, but Lee the friendly manager will always do his best to fit you in. The sorbet is divine, in either Blue Raspberry or Red Strawberry it's a tasty Slush Puppy early in the morning. For a visit to Fratton Park you should plan to dine here, bacon rolls are bacony and rolly. On a clear morning you can catch glimpses of the coast.

Visited here why we was waiting for the train to Gatwick Airport.They serve a wide range of hot and cold snacks plus tea/coffee and chilled drinks.We ordered sandwiches,crisps and some drinks.The sandwich’s were actually very nice but we’re way overpriced.Ok if your in a rush but save yourself some pennies and pop to Tesco’s or the Coop and get your snacks before you get to the station.

Asked the lady in the main cafe if I could buy a cup of water as I had my own tea. She then started shouting abuse at me. I calmly told her I was happy to pay and she got even crosser saying where does it say we sell water. I asked her to stop being so rude she got worse. I then asked if I could have a cup of tea without a tea bag and milk and she rudely agreed. Which I was happy to pay £2.15 for. When I stood on the station with my hot water she screamed I told you she wanted to use her own teabag. It was like the behaviour of a school yard bully. A lady who heard all that was going on said she had also been rude to her. Wish Pumpkin had someone to complain too?

Fuimos a la cafetería con un buen 5 minutos libres. No había cola. El hombre no admitía conmigo cuando yo estaba allí, en vez reorganizados sus magdalenas. Pedimos y pagamos por una bebida, él sirve alguien antes de empezar a hacerlo. Era muy lento, bastante claramente a propósito. Entonces mi tren llegamos y todo lo que él había hecho era pour algo de leche. Cuando dije que mi tren estaba aquí él gruñó" no lo hacen cualquier más rápido" que él podría haber bastante claro. Tuve que dejar mi taza de leche deshicieron aún en su incapaz de manos y coger mi tren.

A pesar de ser terriblemente caro para el cuarto 'frappé' que he visto, también pedimos que lo hicieron con leche de soja ya que tengo intolerancia a la lactosa severa. El barista atenderme no sólo era increíblemente grosero, ella también me hizo la copa deliberadamente con la leche de vaca en lugar de la soja que pedí. Sólo me di cuenta de esto después de beber algo, lo que tenía que pasar el resto de mi viaje y sufrimiento terrible dolor de estómago que rondan cerca de la pensión en caso de wc que vomito. Por suerte para mí sólo me consume suficiente para desencadenar una reacción. Haber tenido más podría haber acabado con la inflamación severa del intestino, vómitos, y toda una serie de reacciones que podrían dejarme requiere tratamiento hospitalario. Falta de honor y respecto de este tipo de requerimiento es francamente irresponsable como este comportamiento podía hospitalizar e incluso matar a alguien. Si tienes cualquier tipo de requisito dietético bien lejos.

He estado en este café un par de veces y aunque tienden a dan a la constante grosería del personal no puedo hoy. He descargado esta app para esta revisión. Todo el personal en este lugar son simplemente grosero todo el tiempo, a menos que les des tu dinero en efectivo para sus más comida hardearned razonable y beber con ninguna queja. Hoy mi tarjeta fue rechazada, el intestino en el mostrador justo en mi cara dijo "no por mi culpa, dieron efectivo? Palabras" (razonable) sólo él movió los elementos lejos de mí como si fuera a robar y se negó a permitirme probar mi tarjeta de nuevo. Estaba indignada por cómo la forma en que me trataron como si fuera un criminal. Como dije al principio no es la primera vez que entré en el servicio distancia malestar. Hice una parada en particular en este café cuando viajen a través de la zona, intrigado por la muy variadas recibido anteriormente. Mientras que allí, el rendimiento al cliente variaba de viajeros individuales, grupos pequeños cuando los trenes eran debido. El miembro del personal era amable y eficiente, y todo el mundo se servía a tiempo para el tren. La configuración de este particular café, dentro de la zona que incluye la oficina de billetes y máquinas, entradas a la calle y plataforma significa que nunca va a lograr la intimidad de un área cerrada. Sin embargo, la variedad de comidas cubierto junto con periódicos, etc. Es excelente y hay asientos para aquellos con ganas de tren. Me quedé impresionado, y el café era muy bueno también.

It's easy to criticise the quality of food and drink when it comes to price. The mature ladies working here today were and friendly and attentive. Making you feel at ease. You pay a premium for convenience, which is fine. The customer service given makes up for it. Keep going ladies!

I have visited this pumpkin on a variety of occasions at varying time of the day and this seems to make no difference to the speed of service or quality of customer service. The staff need to realise that people have a very limited time in order to get a drink and make the train. A smile might help and making more than 1 drink at a time also. Terrible yet at Portsmouth Harbour the staff have cracked it.

Rude, unhelpful and shocking customer service. Bought a newspaper and water (overpriced but this is a railway station I suppose so to be expected) and asked for a small amount of milk for the McDonalds tea I had. The response was no as it had not been bought from them (fair enough) but when we offered to pay the lady offered this for 30p but the gentleman refused and charged £1.20 for a splash of milk!! How helpful.

Wanted a snack for the journey home with my boyfriend and friend's. We was asked if we wantet a hot drink we said no because we didnt but shortly after in the que our friend asked up to grab a coffee which we asked for and the response was you want that cold then because I just asked you if you wanted a hot drink. No need for sarcasm and no need to make a joke out of it with the other work colleague right infront of us as we were paying. Shan't be visiting you again!!!!!

Stopped by here after one of my connecting trains was delayed and I can't say I've had a negative experience. I believe prices are reasonable for the area considering this is a train station cafe. In fact it's slightly cheaper than the majority of stations I go through. My service was quick and efficient and I thoroughly enjoyed my food and drink. I feel the staff could look a little happier but couldn't see any other area for room for improvement.

I don't often stop at Railway cafes, which are notoriously expensive, however I had just missed my train and needed a 'pick-me-up'. This cafe is conveniently located and a tempting stop for anyone travelling from here.It was as expected for price - way overpriced!However I was made to feel better by a cheery server, Lee, who persuaded me to have a bacon roll with my latte. His friendly chat put a smile on my face and the tasty bacon roll put an inch on my waistline!

Took team member 5 minutes to make a latte and a cup of tea, tea was weak and so full it spilt all over my lap and burnt my legs when I got onto the train. No please or thank you from any 3 team members standing there all talking about what they were up to at the weekend.Very poor customer service, from now on I'll bring my own cup of tea.

Tea is made with a weak teabag in a large cup of warm (not boiling) water, with milk poured in immediately, so the result is white in colour and tasteless, regardless of how long it is stirred and left to brew. On this occasion I asked for milk on the side and the male member of staff banged a plastic bottle down on the counter and asked me to use it. The teabag did not colour the water when I stirred, so I asked for an extra bag which he refused. He is the rudest person I have ever been served by anywhere and the others in the queue were complaining about him too. I shall take the train from Portsmouth and Southsea in future.

I took £15 order from an assistant working here, after I tried to tell the assistant what I wanted, she told me that she only had two hands can do one thing at a time, in the end I missed my train!! I don't understand what made her feel to tell her customer off and made them miss the train? It was an awful experience and I won't come back again.

I bought a coffee here and I said to the lady it was £20 and she gave me not the right change. She asked me do I want milk in my cappucino okay an easy mistake to make but her mind was not on the job and there was no eye contact or smile on serving me. The manager said he would check the till - he promised to call me the next day or email me to tell me the result when he cashed up the till. He never did. It obviously did not seem important enough to him. I had to spend ages finding the phone number for this place through stations etc to then call to be told although they could not see the colour of the note the till was down 11p. Well even if they got it right and i was wrong I was not happy with the way it was handled initially particularly by the girl serving me who did not seem to bat an eye lid. I don't want to cast suspicion on anyone but wonder about all this. Altogether a frustrating experience for a cup of coffee I wish I had not had. Unhappy even if I was wrong!! Nothing was offered like a free coffee on a return journey to soften this unfortunate experience and the hour or so I spent trying to find the phone number for this place. Unfortuantely the number below maybe right either..

Visited here twice over the last weekend, Thursday evening had a really nice iced raspberry lemonade, just what I needed, and fab service from the staff. However, come Sunday morning, had a bland tasteless coffee, served by one of the rudest people I've ever met. Appreciate Sunday mornings are not an ideal time to have to work, but if you go into a customer facing career, please serve with a smile, and don't treat the customer like a piece of dirt!

This café is conveniently located in Fratton Railway Station. This means you can grab a bite before going on a train journey, or get drinks and snacks to eat during the train journey itself.Fizzy drinks, mineral water, crisps, chocolate bars, tea, coffee, muffins, sandwiches, croissants, pasties and magazines are all sold here.This café has simple metal tables.I usually get the latte to drink. Ordered two coffees to drink in, via machine at entrance. Waited a while even though one section of counter wasn't serving anyone. Order was placed in takeaway cups so I asked why not in proper ones. I was told the are was mainly takeaway. I said I'd asked for eat in and server poured said coffee into them. Observed several people trying to order at other serving point only to be told (rather curtly)to go to other one by a young man with no explanation. No sign to say that section now closed and as only 3.30pm a little bemused. It was a quite busy time

The coffee is terrible it has no coffee in it. Worst coffee I have tasted for £3.20 I took it back and asked for black and it still tasted like hot water. This is because they set the machine to put small amount of coffee in it. Will never come here again. Stop scamming your customers. The Breakfast was ok got 2 stars coffee 0 stars

They always leave the butter underneath or inside the hot food box so that is melted and liquid every time. Brainless behaviour

Lady fell down then stairs and was still drinking all night, at least Pam was told coins not buy anymore drinks as one of our fringes was apparently drunk. After ask them to show us the cctv to prove so they said it wasn’t possible So unfortunately weatherspooons are now racist so will not be returning
