Didn't order. Put off by the extremely rude way the cashier was speaking to her colleague who was making coffees. Completely unacceptable.

Terrible staff no empathy. I used this place as the better looking one said back in 5 minutes. After waiting 15 and not open still I used pumpkin. 2 staff not interested in my order bickering about future strikes weren’t the most inspiring. A couple of customers moved 2 chairs which were blocking part of the cafe. They both rushed over saying they had a flood in that area. I didn’t notice any damage or leak but perhaps over 1 table in the corner. It appeared they did not want to clean those areas.

They have an advert in the cafe which says you can get a bacon or sausage roll with a hot drink for £2, and then they charge you almost £5. I find this incredibly deceitful and the counter staff agree with me. They told me that everyone says this, so they keep telling management, so the management ae fully aware and have chosen instead to trick the public out of their money. Very substandard roll anyway. Won't be going back out of principle.

I bought a sandwich and Americano coffee while waiting for a train in Crewe station. I sat down on a bench and went to drink from the spout on the lid of the coffee cup. Hot coffee poured all down my shirt which is now completely ruined. The lid on the cup did not fit tightly because it was oversized. I tried many times to secure it but it was impossible. Went back to the cafe, showed them my ruined shirt and asked for a replacement coffee with a tight fitting lid. The staff told me that all the cups and lids are the same and do not fit because they cannot get their regular supplies. They did not offer a refund and when I asked to see the manager I was told she was not there. The staff couldn’t care less. Selling hot coffee in cups with badly fitting, leaking lids for people to take away on moving trains is appallingly dangerous and could lead to serious accidents. I hope someone from Network Rail reads this and gets this cafe shut down. Avoid it like the plague in any railway station.

Queue was incredibly slow as there was only one member of staff behind the counter. A sign of the times. She coped admirably and remained unflustered. As always, the queue would have gone down significantly quicker if we were all tea drinkers and didn't have to wait for the Batista coffees.

Called in for a coffee while waiting for the train to London. Very friendly helpful staff. Plenty of snacks available. Plenty of seating available. The coffee was good. Some Covid rules were being observed; hand sanitiser was available and the tables were socially distanced. An added benefit was that there is a direct way through to the waiting room next door. So, if you did not want to sit in the cafe, you could sit in the waiting room and have a take away from the cafe.

Travelling through Crewe for work this morning and had bought a meal deal from smiths before going to the cafe. The barista had been looking in my bag and then walked round to the shelves and stating that I had taken them from the cafe as the same drink and crisps were missing from the shelves… apparently. Made it very uncomfortable and certainly won’t be returning to that cafe

After an arduous journey from Manchester , we chose to get off at Crewe rather than travel into London . It was game day + park life no seats with a 3 yr old and baby . We went to pumpkin cafe for a well needed pit stop . The gentleman serving had a constant stream of customers but was so friendly and polite to everyone . I wish I had asked his name it was about 19.30 Saturday 11 th . If you are seeing this then thank you , your good humour made my day .

Stopped off in between trains for a quick bite.I had a sausage sandwich which they microwaved (didnt realise upon ordering). Which just made the bread really chewy and difficult to eat and digest. The sausage was of a poor quality given the circa £2.50 price. If you are ever walking by...keep doing just that dont stop. I d have given it less than 1 star if I was able to.

We went into the Pumpkin Cafe situated at Temple Meads Station in Bristol. They advertised a bacon roll with a hot drink for £1.79; we were charged over £9. When we challenged this; we were told that the advert was a mistake. We did not pay and went away. The advert was not a mistake. it was a subtle way of making you pay more!! To be fair; the Pumpkin Cafe offers a good service at reasonable prices. This may have been a one-off!

Located on platform 5 at Crewe station it’s disappointing that the service here could not be a little more friendly. Although then I think I should be grateful as at 8pm everywhere else is closed. Serving a range of sandwiches cakes and hot and cold drinks. Small indoor seating area which unfortunately never seems very clean. Tea comes in regular or large - would love a small as the regular is too big and I always throw half of it away, which at £2.30 is just a waste.

Great for drinks and stuff - coffee is ok, not as good as the cabin at the end of the platform, I think it is gourmet coffee - but acceptable. Had a breakfast bap here - that wasn't pleasant at all - tasteless bacon until you got in, then it was fatty and salty - so it was ditched in the bin. Coffee enjoyable though.

The staff were pleasant enough and the tea was fine, but the floors and walls were filthy!! So many crumbs on the floor it was as if there had been a toddler party prior to our visit! Dried ketchup squirts up the wall and all sorts of other stains. The staff were eating and drinking behind the till and then serving food without washing their hands before hand. I probably wouldn’t of noticed the mess as much if it was busy but it was deadly quiet and the staff were chatting behind the till. Avoid!

I visited the Pumpkin Café in Norwich before catching my train to London. It was early so I ordered a bacon roll and a cup of tea to take away. The bacon rolls are ready made. They just pop them in the microwave to heat up. Unfortunately it went really hard by the time I'd found a place to sit so went straight in the bin. The tea was nice. There was only one member of staff on duty at the time. He was friendly.

Crewe is one of the largest and most busy railway stations in the UK outside the major cities. With 12 (formally 16) platforms and at least 23 trains per hour until midnight and beyond, few stations require a decent cafe more than this one. There was a time, before privatisation that Travellers Fayre (Operated by BR) was in charge of station refreshments and they were open until 11.00pm as I recall. Plus they were on at least 2, perhaps 3 platforms. Pumpkin, which is a chain of travel cafe's and part of a much larger company (including Upper Crust) took over many of the Travellers Fayre locations in railway stations etc. Part of the job of offering refreshments on the platform is that you remain open during the times when the station is in operation. Allowance can be made for closing after midnight when there are few trains calling by, but to be closed by 8pm on a busy week night is unacceptable. It means on one of the biggest, busiest stations in the UK there is no station cafe open after this time. It seems station catering and refreshments have fallen between the cracks, with neither the government or Network Rail, the train operating companies or the individual stations taking responsibility for the provision of adequate station, refreshments. The result is that Pumpkin and Upper Crust station cafes at Crewe are closed at all times except the most profitable periods. Bring your own Thermos.

Clean with a good number of seats, good selection of sandwiches, cakes and snacks. I recently had a sausage in white roll (no choice of brown bread or sauces/napkin offered), it was pleasant enough and filled a hole, they didn't stint on the sausages. Coffee palatable but not as good as the big chains. A quiet place to sit with a good view of platform 5, not bad at all.

I popped in to the Pumpkin Cafe on Crewe station platform 5 for a quick coffee before my train to Manchester. Sadly despite there being three members of staff behind the counter, two seemed far more interested in chatting to a policeman than serving the growing queue of people, leaving it all to one poor girl. I don't think they realised that by the very nature of where their shop is located, their customers are likely to be rushing for trains. I won't bother going back, use the rival cafe on Platform 6 instead.

Went into the cafe this morning and whilst playing on the machine I put money in and although it registered it would not let me add more to play. Spoke to the lady behind the counter Sammy who did not care in the least. I explained the machine had taken money and she quite bluntly told me to ring the company. The machine is still on although I have informed them it is not working. Sammy seems more interested in standing behind the counter with folded arms and a frown in her face having a conversation with the other girl behind the counter. Sammy is one member if staff that definitely is not interested in any form of customer service. Will not be using the cafe again and would suggest other people give it a wide berth.

It is the most dirty and smelly services I have ever been to. I visited last, 1 year ago and recall it being awful then. I forgot which services that 'terrible services' was until I had the misfortune of visiting once again then the memories came flooding back. The toilets are filthy as is the hygiene of the place throughout. We ordered a costa and the lids smelt like dust. The floors are also filthy. Whilst sitting in the only seating area downstairs we had a group of teenagers cracking open a load of bottles of beer, swearing and just generally being a drunken nuisance. I'm not one to cast judgement but it isn't exactly the sights I want to share over breakfast with my family. To sum it up I would describe this services as a toilet stop in the event that you dont want to end up soiling your car.

Why do the management not listen to all the criticism? Do they, like many managers, refuse to believe they can get things wrong? After a stack of critics saying they should cover the food at the entrance, croissants and scones are still left uncovered. Soup and coffee were tepid, queues were long at too many different meal stations with too few staff, a rather expensive piece of coffee and walnut cake had walnut pieces scattered over a buttercream top but not a trace of coffee anywhere. And if you tried to get a coffee at one of the machines, two didn't work (the screen said they needed cleaning/emptying) and two others had no mugs but suddenly, with no buttons being pressed, dispensed what looked like grey water as I stood in front of them. Staff were helpful but one woman at a till suddenly walked away leaving a huge queue at the one remaining till.
