Prezzo - Horsham in Horsham

Awful meal, food dreadful. Waited and waited for out meal. So disappointed. Will not return. Ordered a chicken dish that turned up with tinned mushrooms in a watery sauce. Totally unacceptable

This restaurant, like many, is obviously suffering from a lack of staff and whilst they did their best our dinner out consisted of long delays and poor food - one dish was served almost raw and at best the rest was mediocre. They did refund us for the inedible dish and take 25% of our total bill without being asked which was appreciated but we would have preferred a decent night out tbh after a long week at work.

We used to go to this restaurant regularly before Covid. There have been a few issues since then, but very pleased to say that tonight felt like the Prezzo of old. Both service and food were spot on. Hope the new team can keep this level of service and quality of food going and I’m sure it’ll pay dividends. Thanks - we’ll be back soon !

When me and the family approached prezzo, the outward architecture was outstanding. Beatific design. But when we went inside, that’s when it went downhill. Slow service, cold food, poorly structured proportions and even more. It was as if we were being ignored. I was utterly disappointed as the restaurant was almost empty but still, it took way to long; we all begin to moan and went from being a happy family- enjoying an experimental Sunday dinner- to a sad, moaning bunch of complainers. Do not recommend.

We are at prezzo Horsham last night, it was not particularly busy at all, but there seemed to be one manager on and three very young awkward bar staff that stayed huddled around the bar and didn’t want to venture out, we ordered drinks and one wine was missing because the manager did not listen properly to our order. Then we ordered starters which were good and came out all together, starters were cleared and this is where it went down hill, my husbands pasta dish was brought out alone and then every ten mins a different dish was brought, so at this point four out of six of us were eating, then the two easiest dishes (pizzas) were no where to be seen. It took almost another half an hour before they came, and my grandmother had ordered garlic bread with her pasta and that didn’t come for 40mins after her pasta. At this point we had almost finished our food before two of us got there pizzas, I complained to one of the three staff that were pretty much doing nothing and he went off but never came back or explained anything, I could see the manager was listening to my complaint but chose to ignore us as well, finally she acknowledged what was wrong and took the ridiculously late food off the bill. Our plates were left in front of us for ages after and were only cleared when we were leaving and asking for the bill. It ruined our evening as the main goal of having dinner out is it have it together! The pizzas are good but the pasta dishes that are baked are mushy and over heated and burnt. There is definitely a problem going on in the kitchen and there seems to be no waiting staff but this manager who seems to want to take the whole restaurant on alone, it’s not working so we suggest to stop trying to be a hero and get help! Because prezzo Horsham really needs decent staff, in and out the kitchen!!

Very expensive & so not worth the money, we noticed while waiting for the food the ping of the microwave repeating. Starter was ok, we shared garlic bread (which was very small) & olives, no plates provided even though we could be seen sharing & no sticks to eat the olives with. Main meals came out & my macaroni cheese was so burnt it was black & so was the plate, my first & only bite was disgusting, my husband said his pasta tasted worse than a cheap ready meal, which they were charging £17.50 for. I told the waitress to please take them away & explained our problem & she only started to argue with me,, my food was black & crusty & the sauce was all congealed & lumpy you could see it! She then said ppl on the next table had the same as us & they hadn't complained, I absolutely couldn't believe it so we decided to pay for what we'd had & leave. Certainly won't be going back in there! very disappointed! 2 ladies came in after us & were left waiting for I kid you not 10 minutes to be seated, there was only 3 of us & 4 people on another table in there!

Fantastic service here and food faultless. Cocktails are a must! Tiramisu Espresso is amazing-yum! The manager served us when we were there and was also training new staff, the attention to detail was noticeable and no doubt the newbies will do well.

First time to this Prezzo and won't be the last!! Quiet when we first arrived at 1.00pm for Mum's Birthday but it filled up up very quickly which I think took the staff by surprise as there were only 3 serving. Well done to the staff who coped amazingly. The food was really delicious, hot and such good value. The staff were lovely to my elderly Mum who had a great time. Only downside is the mountainous climb to the toilets!!

We were a party of 10 and booked ahead in person arranging seating downstairs. Upon arrival this was not available and we were taken up two flights of steep stairs which was a problem for some of our party. We were the only customers upstairs. After about 30 mins our drinks began to arrive followed by the water we had asked for on arrival. We placed our food order and 90 mins after we had arrived at the restaurant, food started to arrive up the stairs. The food was served on cold plates. Several had the sea bass and the fish itself was hot and delicious but the vegetables were barely warm and not as described. Several had pasta or risotto which was ok. Chicken with Masala sauce was too tough to cut with the knife. We decided not to have a dessert as we had spent most of the evening waiting. We accepted a discount on our bill. The waitress said they were short staffed and the manager was (or had been) off sick. The waitress who served us did her best but she was also busy downstairs.

We booked a table for 7.15 on Saturday. After being shown to our table the waitress proceeded to ignore us for about 20 mins. She finally came to take our order. Three of the drinks were not available, my daughter ordered a cocktail which was very watery. We had two diabetics in our party and after waiting an hour for the food to arrive, they were starting to struggle. We asked how much longer it would be and were told a few more minutes. The food came out one dish at a time. The three pizzas were good but the pasta and meat and fries dishes were served cold. As we had waited so long we were reluctant to send the food back as we didn't know how long it would be until we saw it again. When asked if everything was ok we told the waitress some of the dishes had been cold and dried. We were not offered a sweet but she did take the price of the wine off the bill.

Poor Atmosphere, food not very good as staff were racing to have a break, heard customers being advised that they couldn't have a table even though there was 8 or 9 spare tables. Certainly wouldn't recommend this branch, Crawley one is miles better including the customer service.

Lock the door if you are closed on Saturday afternoon! What a joke- we tried to get a quick pizza @16.27 on Saturday, and the answer is: we are fully booked for tonight ( funny enough, the canteen is totally empty) and it’s still quite few hours till the evening services. Good luck to the lazy staff, try not to work too hard!

Had lunch here on the 4th November for my Husbands Birthday Food and service was excellent would really like to praise Ed who was on front of house his customer service is second to None and a credit to your team . we will be back and love that you are part of the meerkat meal deals

I was quite reluctant to write this review, because in the past I’ve always been happy with the service that was offered. After three occasions of you calling me to cancel my table, one of which was a very special event, and as my daughter likes going to your restaurant we thought we would give it a go. No attempt was made on the third occasion to offer an alternative for us as you knew it was a very special event. Another restaurant owner probably would’ve dealt with this in a different way, if they had valued my service, even would’ve made a special effort. Alas, no attempt was made by yourselves. I just got an apology on the answerphone Considering, that we had booked three times, it is obvious that we did enjoy coming to your place. As a result I will not be eating your restaurant in future

We visited for a family lunch to celebrate my daughters birthday. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. They didn’t seem to have many staff on but the lady and younger male server both did an excellent job. Food was bought out in good time and was delicious! Thank you

My husband and I decided to go out for a pizza, but live half an hour from any that are good enough. We decided to head to the Horsham branch of Prezzo, knowing the pizzas are good, and, having looked it up, and found it was open until 10pm. I tried to ring to book a table, couldn't get through (I think there was something wrong with the phone), so we went 'on spec'.We arrived at exactly 9pm to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening! We could hear a party going on upstairs, so the branch itself would have to stay open, but they refused to serve us. On top of which a young man really had no charm at all, and shouldn't be working in a restaurant. We were furious at the bad reception we received, but went round the corner and had a completely different response. No matter how good your pizzas are, we will never go back!

Decided at the last minute to have a meal at this restaurant on Tuesday afternoon. We were warmly greeted, despite not having booked, and were politely reminded about the current Covid restrictions before being shown to a table. The 3 of us live in the same household so we were allowed to sit together.The tables were well spread out and it wasn't very crowded as we had timed it after the lunchtime period. We had the choice of 3 menus - Weekday Classics, Christmas Menu or the usual menu. Everything looked very tempting but we decided to take advantage of the Weekday Classics set menu which offered 2 courses for £10.Two of our party had Meatballs for starters followed by Penne Arrabbiata, whilst I had Garlic Bread followed by Spaghetti Carbonara. All of the food was very tasty and nicely presented - and superb value for money as the portions were very generous.We decided to celebrate the festive season early by having a cocktail. One of us had the Passion Fruit Spritz whilst the others had the Signature Raspberry G&T. Lovely!!!All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, but not intrusive.We will definitely be back again when next in Horsham but will probably take the precaution of booking a table in advance in order to avoid disappointment.Thanks to everyone for a lovely late afternoon meal.

Great all round! The staff were all really friendly. I’ve been really impressed with the service the last few times I’ve been to a prezzo (last time was Chichester). In the past Prezzo all over the UK have been known to be notoriously slow service but 2020 Prezzo have really upped their game providing a quick service but to a great standard. Covid signs were done well. There was hand sanitizer at every door and track and trace procedure in place. We had the option to order on the app or direct with a waitress. The food was lovely, we had a chicken and pepper pizza and the calzone, followed by the chocolate salted caramel tart. Both tasted great!

I went for dinner with a friend last night and we had an amazing time. We were welcomed at the door by a lady called Kasia, she was very pleasant and attentive, she explained to us about coronavirus guideline and took was to our table, the space between diners made me feel very safe. Our waitress Patricia was very friendly and helpful, she had a good knowledge of the menu. The restaurant was very clean the drinks were cold and the food was well presented and delicious. I will definitely return and I will recommend this lovely little place to all of my friends.

Came here on a Saturday around a week ago for a meal out with friends. From the get go, service was slow just waiting for a drinks order. The food has come out in a relatively timely fashion, however by then seconds drink had already been ordered and were still being waited upon. The "King prawns" were clearly just regular prawns and the cheese cake dessert tasted as if it was straight from the freezer.There appeared to only be 2 members of staff serving and taking orders which is probabaly why the wait was so long, however this is poor staffing for a Saturday night.Overal I'm not sure I would return due to the average food and poor service due to lack of staffing

Good service from the evening staff but unfortunately let down by bland, average tasting food that could have easily come from Iceland. The pizza whilst ok, had toppings oddly chucked on and space, you can just tell there's no love in it. Felt a bit of a letdown given the decor and service was very friendly and well timed.

We were sat on a round table which was ideal for the 5 of us. Service was very good and we all enjoyed our meals. This is a lively restaurant and of course great for pasta dishes

Popped in for a spot of lunch, starting with pizza bits followed by calzone (Tre Carne) and goats cheese pasta. The pizza bites were really tasty and were served with a lovely garlic butter. The calzone was well filled and served with a little tomato sauce which was excellent to mix with the doughy bits. The pasta was a huge portion and came with loads of goats cheese and peppers and pesto. Overall really tasty food and friendly service.

Visited this lovely brunch on Friday night with a friend and once again everything was amazing. Hot and tasty food, great team and a super friendly manageress. This little treasure is the place to go.

Oh my God what to say about our experience, we were promptly welcomed after few seconds standing by one of the managers at the entrance, then immediately sat in a lovely spot but my friend would like another table then they sorted it without excitation. Drink was nice and cold prosseco food fresh and hot. One young waiter highly professional and friendly, We had a fantastic experience indeed. Also opening the doors was a good touch to the summer vibes

Went for lunch with my girlfriend last Tuesday and we decided for a Italian food. The weather was really hot but Prezzo had it's front doors wide opened making the place cool and with a nice breeze. The food was delicious and hot, both starters and mains.

Visited with my nephew for an early dinner before meeting friends. Excellent attentive service from the manager and waiting staff. I had the sea bass and my nephew the chicken, both of which were cooked perfectly and arrived promptly. A great experience and I will certainly be going back.

We called to check there was space about half an hour before arriving at 6.30, we were greeted and seated in a friendly way and ordered our drinks within minutes.

We met up at Prezzo’s Horsham with some friends who live in Kent.

We ordered our food and after a period of time we still had not received our starters. A number of customers arrived around 10 15 minutes after us and they received their food before us. On questioning the staff we were told it's coming now but it still did not arrive. They had forgotten our table. When we had our main course which was chicken it was found to be still raw. Hopefully we don't get food poisoning. We did get offered a complimentary drink but we still had to ask where it was. The problem maybe was that the chef was to busy chatting with some of the customers that she know.

Went for a meal last Sunday...Father’s Day. Yes it was busy which was to be expected. The staff explained that it would take a little longer to be served so at least we had a choice as to whether to stay or not. Glad we did. The wait was worth it. The spaghetti bolognese was delicious...so was the caesar salad. Will certainly visit again.

We came with a party of 12 for my sons birthday,we had the party room up stairs which is great for functions lots of room although it was a little cold,and the service was quite slow as we were the only ones up there.Food was ok but they had run out of burgers which was a little odd, as they weren’t even that busy.The food was ok but nothing special I had the broccoli as my extra veg and it was really hard.very grumpy girl at the end of the night doing our bill.

We enjoyed a delightful alfresco lunch up on the first floor balcony of Prezzo in Horsham on bank holiday Monday and the service, food and venue were all superb. Particular praise goes to Miky who was great with the children and made the whole experience a summer delight

Really friendly staff and incredible food. The Salmon Penne was spot on and the customer service goes a long way and these waiter/waitresses do it so well as it was packed because of the Italian piaza festival! Couldn’t recommend enough, one particular waiter I think his name was Maz He was extremely helpful and really funny too. We had a great time and will be coming back.

We booked for 2.45 and the table was ready for us despite being very busy because of the Italian weekend in Horsham. The food was good but there were issues with the serving of it. I ordered the Spaghetti with King Prawns as did my daughter. I was served with Spaghetti Pomodoro! However they did rectify this. My husband ordered the burger and the fries were not served until he had nearly finished his burger and they were not hot, which suggests they were left on the side!

Haven't been to ASK for a long time and was not disappointed. Staff very friendly and service good. All food was very good and coffee and a thin slice of cake is a great idea. A very enjoyable lunch moderately priced we will go back.

Table booked for 1pm for 4. I'm pleased I had booked a week before as it was very busy. We all had a starter, a main course, but only 3 had a dessert, as I was full up, but had a couple of mouthfuls of my daughters cheesecake as it was a large slice. Had a bottle of wine & water on the table, excellent food & service even though they were busy.

Excellent value 2-course set menu for quiet mid-week lunch. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was great. I will definitely be going back when next in Horsham.

Have been going to this restaurant for many years when we are down south visiting family. The service has been going down hill for a couple of years, but last Sunday was appalling. I'm not going to waste even more of my time going into detail, but after an hour waiting for our food, I asked how long it would be. The waitress looked at me as though I was dirt. Two waitresses running the restaurant service, bar and making the desserts.

We've been regulars at this Prezzo for many years, but we won't be going back.

Great service when phone to book table, we ended up unexpectedly being very early and there was not a problem seating all 6 of us.

What has happened to Prezzo? Are they doing too many discount vouchers which is now having an impact on portions and quality? Whilst a discount is welcome, I would rather have better value for money food and pay the normal price. However, I would not pay normal prices for two of the courses my son and I had. The calamari, whilst really good, was half the thickness it used to be, and my beef ragu pasta, which tasted lovely, was extremely disappointing as it was just a big bowl of dry pasta tubes - barely any sauce and less than an inch of shin of beef and 3 minute pieces of carrot. Shockingly bad value. My son was happy with his pizza and I enjoyed my king prawn starter, but, come on Prezzo, stop cutting corners like this. I won’t be going back in a hurry which is a shame as I used to like Prezzo.

I've Just had Lunch with a friend at the restaurante in Horsham and it was absolutely gorgeous. Service was friendly and the ladies working were very attentive. Clean place and child friendly. I'm impressed.

Never having been to Horsham previously we wanted a good evening meal before a concert and as Prezzo was offering 2 for 1 with Meerkat meals the choice was obvious. We are fairly regulars at our local Prezzo in Godalming so the menu is very familiar, good value and tasty.

Just finished our work Christmas meal. Was superb. We were served by Micki & the 2 Jola's. All 3 were so helpful & friendly. Could not fault anything - food/ service / price. Will definitely be back & would recommend.

On a quick lunch visit we noticed that the Chef himself was replacing the toilet seat on the mens toilet, hunched over the toilet bowl and reaching underneath. He then took the old toilet seat downstairs, quickly washed his hands and went back into the kitchen.

We come here not infrequently and find the staff fantastic, the menu varied and always tasty! Absolutely consistent and would recommend highly! The children’s menu is great suitable from tots to teen

I'm afraid that standards are slipping at this popular restaurant. No complaints about the food, but it presents badly on a much worn wooden platter, which must raise questions about hygiene. The general ambience is not enhanced by the banquette seating, which has seen better days. perhaps a refurb would help?

Went to Prezzo for the first time the other day with some work friends, had a fantastic meal, started with some garlic bread then had an amazing penne arrabiatta.

Not many guests in the restaurant but staff super friendly - think we were served by Kuba (lady) who lovely and cheerful - she got everything right and told us up front what things were not available.

Always a favourite of ours the food is always fabulous and the staff are friendly and so helpful nothing is ever to much

Waiters were rude and unfriendly, pizza dough was so thin it shattered, toppings were very stingy, pizza was tasteless. The restaurant acoustics were awful - so loud you couldn't have a conversation. Never again!

Struggled to find a table at various other Horsham restaurants on a busy Friday night and finally settled on Prezzo after seeing the excellent value summer set menu deal . Two courses and a drink £15.95 available all day everyday . We both chose the calamari to start which was crispy and melted in your mouth . Then I had the salmon penne for main which had a great hit of chilli and was such a large portion couldn't fit in a pudding . We opted to pay an extra £2 and have a gin fizz cocktail rather than drink included with meal . Overall a pleasant meal with delicious food and attentive staff . The only reason not giving it five stars is felt rushed and we were presented with cheque just 70 mins after sitting down as obviously wanted table vacated . Will def be back with family .

Been quite a few times here, enjoyed each time, Had the pork belly which is lovely, was taken off the menu a little while ago but pleased to say has returned, great service.

Went to celebrate my birthday with friends and had an amazing evening. The waitress (Jenny) was extremely helpful and delightfully polite.

We have lunch here every few months and have never been disappointed (apart from when they hadn't had a delivery and were out of quite a few items).

We were a party of 20 and we were delighted to find that we had a room to ourselves upstairs. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our Diamond Wedding Anniversary such a happy occasion.

Prezzo as a chain are ok, but nothing special. The waiter who greeted us was ok, but started to hand us menus before we had settled into our seats.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is typically what the british expect an Italian restaurant to be. Complicated rules on discounts. Right in the centre of town, with bus and parking close by but no traffic.

Having eaten this many times in international places I was surprised when this arrived with no cream content at all. It had a pleasant flavour based upon the oil, hard cheese, pancetta and pepper which on further research I now understand is the Roman way of doing it. What a pleasant surprise and all on Tesco’s vouchers!

My husband and I and our daughter went for an early evening meal here this evening. As we walked in the door there was a member of staff taking a table’s payment right in front of us. He didn’t even look at us, nod or acknowledge our existence until he had finished. Then he quite coldly greeted us and asked us to go to a table but did not escort us there. We sat and waited a little while and finally another member of staff gave us menus but didn’t offer us any drinks (or olives which the menu suggested would be good to nibble on while you decide). We would have left before ordering as we were already disappointed with the poor greeting and long wait to order, except that I decided it would have been too much effort as our daughter has special needs and needs a lot of help. It took a long time until anyone returned for our orders and then the service was also slow. After we’d eaten our mains they then took a while to take our dessert orders which took ages to come despite the fact that they were cold desserts. The staff didn’t seem to be customer-focussed at all and not at all engaging or smiley. As we paid, the member of staff who seemed to be the manager thanked us for our patience but nobody apologised for the wait etc. She reached across my husband to pick up the bill tray too, instead of going to the other side of his chair. The menu wasn’t very inspiring and we wish we’d looked at Tripadvisor before going to Prezzo, but we went as we had a voucher. We will check things have improved before going again. I noticed that in response to other reviews regarding the poor service, the Prezzo management have said they’ll re-train their staff. Well, if they have done then I suggest they need to look into who’s doing the training!
