Great brewery tour...the beer, food and views superb. Cannot fault a thing. The tap room was buzzing, staff very busy but welcoming. Will visit again...

Great food, beautiful views. An awesome range of different beers to try and taste. Nice to walk across to tap house too. Just what gosport needed

As a group of five ex servicemen we visited the brewery as part of the Gosport Heritage tour. It was very interesting to see how much had changed in the brewing industry whilst the basics of brewing have not changed for millennia. Given the location of the brewery, the ethos revolved around supplying the Royal Navy and how the introduction of "hopping" the beer after brewing allowed it to travel to what was then distant lands. The joy shown when speaking of the recent acquisition of the canning and labelling machine was evident. On to the Taproom. Although brewery tours used to include a few complimentary beers afterwards in these financially straightened times it was over to the bar. Another reviewer has commented on the price of the beers on sale without taking into account that it is a small artisanal brewer and in no way can compete with the multi national brewers. All five of us left happily after a couple of pints and I personally will be returning. As other reviewers have stated the views are really great.

Took family here (my first visit also) as I am an avid beer drinker, and had expected great things. How disappointing. It is a lovely spot, within the confines of Explosion Museum (theTaproom). They only had one bitter on offer which was not particularly nice, and flat! The other drinks ordered (lager and cider) just okay - nothing special. Prices way over the top considering there is The Jolly Roger within half a mile, which sells excellent Real Ale! Such a shame as they have a lovely position looking over the waterfront.- unlikely to visit again. Cannot comment on the service as we went when it was quiet.

My wife and I called in this morning to try the beer - which we had experienced at a beer tasting in Southsea few nights previously - and to try the food. The food was very good and the beer as good as we expected. We enjoyed fine views over Portsmouth Harbour, once the mid-morning mist had cleared. WE shall return, possibly after a trip to Explosion!

This venue should be the tap room, it’s beautiful, and part of the brewery. But as with the other venue, it has little craft, and also is bizarrely overpriced. I’ve seen their cans for £3 elsewhere, but at their own tap, which should be the cheapest place to buy their beer, they’re £4.50. They should have put 12 taps in here and made it the focal point. The other venue feels like a restaurant/wine bar - this feels like a tap, but it’s got nothing much on offer. The beer is good but the whole venture feels far too corporate to even dance next to the label of craft.

Went here short time ago just to check it out. Didn’t see the actual brewery but went for a craft beer. Place is next to the Explosion Museum and easy to find. Good selection of ales and ciders at generally Craft Beer prices, the one I had was much better than most from tied-pubs. Also had soft tacos with pulled pork. Three arrived ( not huge) tasty, cost about £8. Dog friendly On day we went although a murky one, had great view of two aircraft carriers in Portsmouth shipyard. Yes, we shall go again

Went to buy some ales for friends for Christmas and decided to have some lunch while we were there. I have a hiatus hernia and have to be careful what I eat. I decided on the yorkshire pudding with cheese and leek inside. It took a while to arrive but when it did it was a very small portion and very greasy. I couldn't eat it, suffered for the rest of the day with the grease. Shame, I expected better from them.

They have certainly done this conversion very well and tastefully with the decor. Nice roomy eating area and even seating outside to watch the boats sail. Their menu caters for veggie & vegans plus of course meat eaters! Large portion sizes and all cooked very nicely. Only downside and hence why not 5* was its served in paper trays! Coffee was good and strong

Well, we stumbled across this place while exploring Gosport. What a pleasant surprise it was. Beer brewed on premises with specials. The staff were great, very knowledgable and inviting. Live music also being played in a such a unique environment - an old converted gunpowder store I believe. For any real ale lovers you must make this a stop. We are already planning on another visit to Gosport purely to spend more time here. I would highly recommend a visit and a few pints!!

Very good indeed. Went here with a few friends and had a great time. Sublime selection of beers, all with a very different character but the same supreme quality across the Pilsner Lager, the Amber and IPA. Great beer, the venue is steeped in history and all a little bit hipster. In the words of Arnie, I'll be back.

I was traveling down south through Frome and stopped here a bit late in the evening. I was quiet lost with finding out everything I needed for the next day. I was given plenty of information and help. The owner of this pub is an absolute Gentleman, The pub atmosphere is very friendly concidering its a small area and many lsmaller areas are not favorable to strangers. I'm looking forward to going back again.

I've never been impressed with the sound quality at this venue, but last night's Afro Celt gig was a new low. The sound system totally failed to project into the hall and had no presence. It's flat and lacks any dimension. You'd need to be right in front of the stage to feel any sense of immersion. Even then, the overall quality is low. To make matters worse, the sound engineering was shocking, with fiddles, pipes, flute, whistle so far bant in the mix that they could barely be heard at times. A really unprofessional event that left me feeling like I'd been ripped off. I'd be really reluctant to see a band here again. Frome deserves better.

A Tuesday night in January where other pubs in nearby villages are closed it was a joy to find this one open. A great traditional pub with a nice warm fire, friendly welcome, reasonable drinks, what more do you want? Deserves to be supported. Well done!

Had a day out in St Andrew's on Saturday 11th May as it was a lovely day,so we pop in kinnettles Hotel for a few drinks. As there's outdoor sitting on the pavement so we get a table outside. As it was very hot day my friend took off his T-shirt,staff take our order with no issued at all didn't even mentioned or bothered about his not wearing a T-shirt. After our forth rounds of drinks, this man passed our table bend over to my friend in a impolite bad mannered way and tell him in my Hotel you can't dress like that and he walk away.We where shocking even other guests having a drinks think he was rude. I pointed out to the staff and she tell me not to worry about it, we didn't have a problem plus you guys where sitting outside. The Owner should know better how to talk to Guests he was so unprofessional, and we will not be going back.
