Rubbish,funniest omelette I've ever seen, chips way over cooked and £2.80 for a small glass of flat Pepsi, they need to go to other poppins to see how it's done,never again

the food was very good and nice and and a good price and a good customer service as well and nice friendly staff as well

Staff rude, Unfriendly Not family oriented Spoons is a better and friendlier place to go. The owner is selfish and money driven Doesn’t even do satisfactory food.

Oh dear. Two things … a fight broke out between the staff. It started with shouting and then fistycuffs! It’s not really what you want when eating your lunch. Also, tuna sandwich full and uninspired… tea in a mug… staff look as if they are going through the motions rather than enjoying their jobs.

Again tested the plaice. After telling the man in charge that in Worthing a few months ago i was given and charged for Plaice and chips. The plaice was no longer than 4inches and was after removing the bread crumbs a fork full. First of all this fish should have never left the sea as it was so undersized that it was ridiculous it should never be sold as the stocks are so low they have been fished out. We wont be going there again plus the man in charge was abrupt while talking to him

I like the Late breakfast with extras ( hash browns, fried bread, fried egg) and a cuppa. I also like the fact that the meal is always cooked the same way so I know exactly what I’ll be getting. The staff are extremely polite and attentive making this restaurant a ‘go to’ place.

Went to POPPINS for a meal, sat down the staff kept looking at us and looking at us . I Have not got two heads or my shirt on back to front, then they starting serving people that came in a long long time after us. it seems they dont like people that are not regulars. Why did not come up and say please leave we dont like you but they did not. Waiter totally useless taking one order at a time , when all the tables were to together and all were waiting for there order to be taken. Not good, very disappointing.

The 2 of us went here for breakfast/brunch and was a bit busy but have seen it busier before. The food was nice maybe the bacon bit fatty and burnt . Other than that was ok , few new employees I saw , letting the stars down was the smell of our server . It was so strong BO and it did make us feel bit sick . Normally it’s fine for us but wow this did put us off .

Always amazes me that they remember what you like to order! Fresh cooked food and very clean. Great service from the team.

I had some time to kill, so breakfast was the order of the day. And glad I found Poppins. A really great breakfast, well cooked and served with a smile. The manager knew what all his regulars orders were. Will return. A solid 9/10!

Not using it as much as I always drop into the one in Petersfield and also in Southampton./ Good menu and always cooked fresh. Spotless clean!

My son and I visited the Waterlooville Restaurant and had only sat down for a few minutes and one of the waiters was there asking where we ready to order. We had ordered a coke and a slice of bread with our dinner both of which arrived very quick with the knife and fork and napkin. We did not have to wait very long for our main meal. They also came to ask was everything ok. The only reason I gave 4 "stars" was because I prefere chuncky chips and theirs are thin. I would have put 4.5 if possible The service excellent the place clean, toilet facillites excelent too. Easy access for disable people..

From the moment you walk into poppins the staff can not be more helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is all cooked to order so nice and fresh, although pretty basic.

had a great sandwich and coffee in here the meals actually looked very inviting. the staff are very pleasant and polite the place spotless

From the time that you enter to the time you leave the waiters are always quick to seat and help you. All the food is cooked to order, so it is always fresh and hot. The cleanliness is brilliant all round. They do not give small portions, unless asked to do so, so you never leave hungry. If you want to have good service and good food, Poppins is a no brainer.

We were in waterlooville and were abit peckish so we had to go to Poppins. Never let us down in the past, lovely and clean . Friendly staff and there to give you lovely food and a professional attitude. We had 2 Brunches with Beans and I had cheese on my burger because that's how I roll . Also we had a Coffee and a hot chocolate with Cream . Look forward to my next visit . Perfection

I really do love a poppins restaurant, I don’t no one person that has had a bad experience and every time they have had a lovely meal . Always friendly staff and always very clean , I had the brunch and added beans and I was stuffed after but satisfied. Brilliant cooking and always respectable and treat you as there best friend . This is why I keep coming back here as I have done for years . Thanks guys

Visited here with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon was hoping for a really good all day breakfast alas it eluded me again!

We had a baked potato and Poppins Mix which is a small English. As I would expect it to be. Hot and tasty good value for £5 a head plus drinks. Same meal in a pub would be twice as much.

This was our first visit, fried eggs were overdone, child's burger was greasy and horrid, and for the quality was really overpriced, service was quick and staff were friendly , but will not be returning

we go to poppins most weeks to have lunch and staff are very friendly and nice and food to good and the place is very clean

Podemos entender por qué es tan popular, que es la misma en cada uno de los enchufes. Estándares de todo el tiempo y muy educado. Mary Poppins realmente han establecido un alto estándar para todos los restaurantes. No nos podemos quejar.

Hemos estado usando durante años en Waterlooville Poppins principalmente porque la comida es buena y la limpieza es evidente. Sin embargo, después de la visita de hoy no volveremos a este particular, (irá a la vez) o Cosham Petersfield. Sin duda, es todavía muy bien durante la mañana y la hora de comer, pero no más tarde. Fuimos en 4. 10 - Las sillas sobre las mesas y como ya comimos nuestra comida, un miembro del personal con la aspiradora nuestros pies! ! El ruido y el olor no era agradable y cuando comente él continuó. También nos dijeron que cerraban a las 5 o'clock", que no es verdad y encima nos cobraron! ! No fue una experiencia agradable!

Después de probar un café local supermercado y nos dijeron el tiempo de espera era de media hora volví al centro de la ciudad y me gustó el aspecto de Mary Poppins, así me quitó. Servicio amable y rápida un plato muy bonito de solla y patatas fritas y guisantes.

Mi segunda vez aquí y demostró la primera vez no fue una casualidad. Buen desayuno completo. Teníamos que pedir setas y pan frito como extras, así que no es el más barato y el absoluto salchichas puede haber de mayor calidad. Pero. . . . Toda la comida era casera. bien no quemado o bajo hecho, y todo estaba bien caliente! Croquetas de patata crujientes. Alimentación genial y muy satisfecho. El personal no habla inglés pero son nesseseraly servicial, agradable y sin concesiones con su bienvenida.

My wife and I recently took in the popping on a visit to the Ville.Staff friendly and efficient,food of a good standard,place was clean,all in all not bad,would I return,yes I think I would.

I had been going to Poppins for about 10 years every Saturday with the boys as they grew up. But sadly stopped once they got older. Recently I put the car in for a wash and had an hour to kill. I walked in after about 4 years absence and got treated like a long lost relative .. The staff remembered exactly what I liked for breakfast... even down to crispy mushrooms. The meal arrived quickly and was piping hot. The staff were friendly and attentive and made the meal a pleasant surprise... I now wash the car every two weeks.

They aim for cheap and cheerful and get it absolutely smack on. Don't expect pate de foie gras as you won't get it but as a cafe it has everything you would expect and more.

We have been eating at Poppins for the past 25 years . Food and service always excellent . The staff are efficient and friendly . If you want a quick meal this is the restaurant to visit .

I've visited this restaurant many times and am never disappointed. The extensive menu is not exactly refined and caters for the basic English diet. i.e. meals are accompanied with chips or baked potato ie burger, sausage, scampi and theres also omelettes and salads. I particlarly like the salad as its served with beetroot. There's a separate menu for children. Deserts and milkshakes are also available. The staff are extremely friendly and attractive into the bargain. Even more reason for paying Popping Waterlooville a visiti!

Ok for a town cafe, always clean and staff friendly. Very popular for locals. Child friendly as well.

I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of food or the quality of service (both are delicious and amazing), and this last thing is barely even a complaint, just that sometimes they do take a little while to get to your table because of talking to each other a little too much.However you can look past that when they serve you with a delightful smile :)

Spotlessly clean restaurant with the cleanest bathrooms in the UK! Consistently good, hot food. You get exactly what you see on the menu, always made to order and always served with a smile. Waiters know my order before I even open my mouth! Love it!

Always busy but welcoming. Staff are very friendly. Large menu. Not the highest quality ingredients but ok for a cheap bite to eat & a tasty coffee when out shopping. The cleanest cafe you will ever see too. I've never seen so much as a single crumb on the floor!!

Popped into the town as we were in the local area looking at properties and thought we would take a look around. I've had lunches in Poppins before in many areas and they can differ a great deal. This one was very good. Staff polite, tea arrived almost instantly and hardly any wait for the food. All this for £13. Must say that the loo's were very clean, modern and well stocked, brilliant.

How the team remember exactly what you like I just do not know but they do! Enjoy the 'Inclusive' which they adjust for me with chips!

decided to call in for a late breakfast,, we were not disappointed,, the restaurant and food was very clean and cooked to order so everything was nice and hot,,staff were very good at there job ,,and did not have to wait long ,,, not very busy... but will definately eat there next time i,m in waterlooville,,and was willing to swap items on the menu

Apparently this is really popular so went with a friend. It is OK, big menu but average food and for the quality I think over priced.

I always know if you go to Poppins, you great good service with a smile and very good food. It always quick and very clean. We've never had a bad service here. My little girl loves the kiddies menu. When ever we are passing and its lunch time, its better to go here rather than McDonalds..

Extensive menu with not only breakfast items ☕. Staff team very friendly and accommodating with breakfast item swaps. Clean and comfortable cafe. Portions good, excellent value for money ☺. Easy parking pay and display in car park at back 80p for an hr.

The staff give you a warm welcome and the milkshakes are the best around! The place for a decent hot drink or cooked lunch!

Always have a very nice cooked brunch in this Poppins. The food is cooked perfectly and the chips are some of the best I have had when eating out. Staff always friendly.

I went there for lunch earlier in April. The people running the restaurant were nice, service was good. The bacon, egg and chips I had were lovely! definitely worth a visit if you are lunching in Waterlooville.

The breakfast was great the Bacon was great it all was excellent service great all round even though they were very busy it was still served quickly

This is a great place they have many around the south this review relates to the Basingstoke one.Used this company before and have always been impressed and again we weren't let down, what we like about these eateries the picture on the menu is exactly what you get on your plate always well cooked and presented great staff very friendly.

Always clean, great food, non greasy chips, perfect breakfasts all day and great variety. They are also in Havant and petersfield and all have the same high standards

I ordered prawn salad with chips and it was very good. My only beef is that I was with my very attractive granddaughter and the staff pestered us. The lads are good looking but not that good. My advice back off boys and let the girls enjoy the food.

Poppins both in Waterlooville and Havant is the cleanest of any cafés anywhere that I have been in this country. As soon as you leave the area where you sat is given a clean on the table as well as the floor. I have not seen this elsewhere. The kitchens as well as the serving staff and the chef's are spotlessly clean and deserve the 5 star rating that they have got for hygiene. The food is served fresh and quickly. The staff are attentive and always greet you if they are not too busy. We have never been disappointed. Also the toilets are very clean.

More of a High Class Caffè than a Restaurant.Menu choice is limited to Caffè style menu. They have managed to install the maximum number of tables and chairs that the space allows. So no romance here.However on a brighter note.The service was very good. Both polite and efficient.The food is of a good standard, and I did leave there feeling full, unlike the Burger bars that leave you with an empty feeling soon after.There were plenty of staff on duty and the food was cooked freshly and served hotI took my Grandson with me and he was more than happy with his Burger and chips.

Although very busy, was greeted quickly and our order for the all-day breakfast was taken and we were served fairly promptly.Good breakfast with bacon, sausage, mushrooms and poached eggs - freshly made coffee too.Lots of older folk having a very good and reasonable mid-day meal (lasagne, shepherd's pie, etc).Would certainly use them again when in the area.

I popped in there for a late breakfast (literally, since that is the name of the meal I chose, although I did have one extra item with it). Wasn't disappointed. Food properly cooked and well presented by friendly staff. Usual good standard I've come to expect of Poppins outlets, and here a scrupulous attention to cleanliness, tables cleared and cleaned down as soon as vacated. Mind you, all the Poppins outlets I've tried (4) are good in this respect.

Not quite sure what the last reviewer is on about (admiralg)!! Yes Fatih moved along the coast to another branch but his brother is still there & managing the restaurant as good as its always been (not really different management!!). I love the atmosphere & friendliness in Waterlooville branch, Lattes are great, foods great... No complaints about anything. Keep doing what your doing Naci & co

What can I say, been visiting this restaurant for over 4 years almost once a week with the family (4 adults`) . The previous manager was sharp as a pin , pleasant and always remembered what you had last time...great team and great service for a local cafe with great value good quality food. Until June this year..... A couple of months back they changed the management and with it the whole attitude to service vs price. Seems the new manager is more interested in charging you for every little thing than providing you with service! We used to get a scoop of chips exchanged for two hash browns, £6 inclusive breakfast, without charge...(potato like for like). Now the new manager wants £1 for the swap....why?? We were not asking for a plate of chips as in the side order for £1.90, just a scoop...hasn't been an issue for 4 years.. nor is it an issue with other Poppins restaurants in the area...Just Waterlooville's new manager seems to want to make his mark! Raised it with Poppins franchise team who apologised but they also told me its down to the individual property owners..ah well...thats the end of that then!So after all these years of great service at Poppins Waterlooville we're not returning to Waterlooville due to the management change .So to the old team, best of luck at the new location and please let me know where you are as you had a great manner and were truly customer focused and provided great service.To the new property owner at Waterlooville, let me know when you have changed the manger for someone that understand customer service and then I and my family might come back as we're using other local Poppins franchises and Wetherspoons in the high street. Sad to have to give you such a poor report as you were 4 start until the change!

Poppins seem to be growing steadily every where........ and the important thing is that the standard is always maintained.Wide menu - but same at each location.Uniformed staff, which gives a real good impression, along with courteous and polite service.Food delivered promptly. Clean toilets - so important I think and one of the measures I judge by !Quality always maintained.Yea........... pop in any time
