Pomp in Maidstone

Genuinely very impressed with the food and atmosphere. A friend of mine had been before and had an amazing time so offered to take me and my partner out for the evening. Andy (the owner and chef) cooked all the food, brought it out and describes each dish. You can tell how passionate he is about the food. We really cannot wait to come back again soon! We have visited Pomp a few times & each time it has been an amazing dining experience from start to finish. Every course is delicious, carefully thought out, very creative, & beautifully presented! The venue provides a quirky, inviting atmosphere with a very warm welcome from Andy & the staff. Highly recommend.

Love this restaurant a real gem of Maidstone words don’t do it justice. try for yourself on one of the very few independents left . If you’re into good food and not the chain restaurant give this restaurant a try a true experience.

Have dined at Pomp on a few occasions, with friends and with my partner. Each time is a different inspirational menu bought to the table by friendly staff in an atmospheric venue. Andy has such a passion for food which shows in the whole dining experience. The evening becomes an event and I’m happy this level of cuisine is now on our doorstep rather than having to travel further afield.

I have been lucky enough to get in on 2 of Pomp’s nights, and I can honestly say there is no other place in Maidstone that does a menu like Andy. Theatre bought to your table in a speak easy Intimate space. Finally a place to go that is not a big chain with so much thought gone into every course. It is just what Kent has been crying out for.

This is a truly unique pop up dining experience, with a surprise menu which is often themed. Intimate dining atmosphere and can BYOB. The food is absolutely outstanding, have tried many dishes I wouldn’t usually pick off a menu but have really enjoyed every single one. I would say this is better than some Michelin star restaurants we’ve been to, the chef is so talented! Due to limited spaces the nights always sells out, so get in quick, highly recommend!!

Without doubt the best dining experience outside of a Michelin starred restaurant. To be fair, the quality and imagination with the dishes outstrips even some far more esteemed restaurant. Value for money, service with a smile, and Andy making time between courses to speak to the diners makes for an amazing evening. Highly recommended, if you're lucky enough to get a seat; it's sold out within a day every time, so be quick!!
