We were here for a wake as it’s where my uncle was a regular. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The pub itself was cosy, warm and inviting on a really cold day. All the customers (not just our family and friends) were lovely. Tonia and her partner Graham were so friendly and done a fantastic job with the catering. The food was lovely. The pub has a really good old fashioned feel about it. Not many pubs around like this anymore! We will be going back soon.

Although we had a FAIR wait, it was a very busy period, plus a wake was being catered for. The food was home cooked and very tasty. The portions were very generous.

A legendary boozer for legendary folk. Bar staff are friendly and the manager runs a good place. Not many pubs like this around anymore ....

Regretfully the plough on flampstead end road no longer serves food which is a shame as it is in a prime location in a vast housing area

Disappointed with the food, when you spend upwards of £20 on a meal you'd expect real potatoes and not powdered mash. To be fair the beer was Ok

Tried eating here twice as it is local to me but can't say I was very impressed. Admittedly both times were school holidays and whilst I am far from adverse to dining with family's with children I found it like eating in a crèche ! The amount of children definitely outnumbered adults by 3-1 . It was like musical chairs ,no one sat still for a minute and their manners were appalling . The food was very mediocre at best .

this chain pub, McMullens, sells a reasonable choice of drinks. The food is good and you can choose a smaller portion for the more conscious eaters. The menu choice is appropriate. Not posy. I have never been there just to drink but more as a restaurant. The atmosphere is good and the setting is very nice.

We regularly eat here and enjoy it! Simple, well cooked pub grub. The pub has a bar area and restaurant area which are both well decorated. Staff are friendly and very well mannered and helpful. Service is quick and the cost is very very reasonable! Only dislike is the bar area is a little small so sometimes the bar in the restaurant area can become busy which makes sitting at the two tables nearest it a little noisy but staff are happy for you to move tables and this has only happened to me twice out of my ten or more visits!

Bisected here for lunch as we always eat out on a Saturday The menu was not very varied . My daughter and I both like not massive meals so when ordering well always ask for Small portions if they say just leave what you don't want 9 times out of 10 that means meals are pre cooked. Service was a bit slow food was average was quite noisy a few local lunch time drinkers nice car park where there is seating outside ( mostly for smokers I think)
