Mayya Bistro in Broxbourne

Amazing breakfast at Mayya bistro, the food was great, presented beautifully and tasted amazing! The team was fantastic so helpful and lovely. Can highly recommend.

If you want to be ripped off then this is the perfect place for you! After choosing the “American Glory” breakfast with halal meat, the waitress let us know it’s fried in the same oil as the pork. This was shocking as I’ve eaten from this cafe many times and this is the first time I’ve been told this. So I changed my order to the sandwich and chips meal, to which she replied “oh sorry chips are also fried in the same oil.” She reassured us that we could stick to our original order and will tell the chef to cook the meat in a separate pan. When we got the food, hungry and ready to finally eat, she told us we also can’t eat the hash browns as it was cooked in the pork oil. Why tell us this after we’ve already ordered?!? And why serve it to us?? So all we were left with was two burnt pancakes and one egg!!!! After finishing the food (didn’t take long) we asked the waitress to deduct the missing foods from the bill, and she reassured us that she will. She came back with the check and said sorry I can’t take any thing off. When we complained about this she responded, “next time get the create your own breakfast.” We didn’t know that there was a create your own breakfast, she purposely didn’t tell us we could eat a halal breakfast from this section, just so they could get some more money from the set meals. So we had to pay a ridiculous amount of money for such a small, unsatisfactory meal. What was the point? Never returning here again and as a loyal customer this has really, really disappointed me. The whole experience was off and they made it clear that they do not care or value their customers; they’d rather lie and overcharge us. Do not come here!!!

Went to visit my mother in law and found this little gem, great selection for breakfast and they also have a vegan selection which was great.

Amazing service very quick and kind. I had a classical chicken burger served with French fries the chicken was cooked to perfection amazing food. We also had the lasagna very delicious. Both the place and the toilet was very clean.was very impressed by everything would recommend would be coming for the second very soon.

My favourite Cafe in Waltham Cross for Savoury and Healthy Breakfasts! I usually get the Sourdough 5 (picture) for £8*. It comes with Sourdough with Avocado with Feta, sun dried tomatoes, pomegranate sauce with salad and crisps on the side AND I order extra mushrooms and an Oat Latte to drink. They have great, smooth coffee too. I highly recommend their hash browns too, wayyyy better and crispier than McDonald’s. Their outdoor seating on sunny days is very cute, they have a nice shade outside too. The free parking nearby is only for 1 hour but there’s a parking lot where you can stay longer which is cheaper than other areas. They also accept both cash and card but sometimes the machine is out of service so be prepared to take out cash at the machine if you don’t have any on you!

Found a dead ant in my sauce which was meant to be used for my pancakes now I’m eating dry pancakes and fruit …

Terrible customer service! Me and my other half went there for breakfast, they took an hour to take our orders and then we were waiting for our food for over an hour while other customers that had come after us were getting their food. Then we said if they're not going to serve us any time soon we’d leave and they just said ok you can leave, not even an apology or showing some remorse! They hadn’t even started preparing our food! What a disgrace!

Great food but whenever I order delivery they always delay the food from the original time by 15-20 mins

Excellent breakfast. The pancakes in particular are fantastic. They always go the extra mile for kids adding umbrellas and sweets.

We often pop in here for a light lunch a d beverage, whilst out shopping. The food is excellent, as is the polite and efficient service, with a very wide choice, plus the servings are of a generous size.

Very oily, never tasted so much oil in my life, had to stop eating. I’m Turkish, and this was very disappointing to us. Even the sausage was rock solid. The fries felt like it was frozen fries not fresh. The pancakes were dry and tasteless eggs, no seasoning. Would not recommend this cardboard food

I have had lunch at Mayya on 3 occasions and will keep going back. They do the best fries and every meal I have chosen has been delicious. The staff have always been attentive and very friendly.

Not satisfied with the experience and would not recommend. We asked for a baby high chair twice, as the waitress was not attentive, so instead we helped ourselves. The same waitress took a while to come over and ask for our order, in the end we had to go and ask someone to take our order. Once we was given our food, that same waitress forgot to bring our cutlery! When we told her, she didn’t apologise or anything, instead frowned as if it was our fault?! The other staff member's were also not bothered at all, they were standing about near the till and not paying attention to customers whom may needed help. The service here was just so slow, lazy and very inconsiderate. The food overall was decent, but not great. Personally would not bother to go here again.

We love the food there and Turkish tea. Staff is nice and polite, sometimes can be busy there but I think it is a good sign.

I have to say I had a shocking experience here. I have been coming here roughly 2 months now. Today I had to ask 3 times for a drink and waited 15 mins in this heat. I was rudely told by the waitress they're busy and the manager closed the door in my face. The waitress was looking at me as she went into the building whilst I was on the phone and said if you don't like something here you can leave. I offered to settle my bill and was hounded by staff and a customer and also a hostile woman who threatened and tried assaulting me. I had to leave before it got even worse. Management and staff don't care about you here avoid they are extremely rude.

Party of seven for coffee, the order was taken wrongly, when asked to be corrected the manager refused and was very rude and asked us to leave even though we didn't do anything wrong, we just wanted the correct coffees. We do not recommend this café.

NEVER eating here again. My wife and I had lunch here today, Friday 14th May 2021. The service was friendly enough - but very slow; despite the fact that it wasn't particularly busy. I ordered a cheese omelette with chips & beans. I couldn't taste any cheese and the beans were almost cold. My wife ordered a Chilli Chicken Wrap (£9.50) and when it eventually arrived she picked it up to eat it and it was dripping with liquid. It clearly wasn't a "drizzle of sweet chilli sauce" as the menu said. It also said in the WRAPS section "All served with French or Curly fries..." but there were no fries on the plate ! My wife pointed out that the fries were missing - and the waitress apologised and brought a portion five minutes later. Then to cap it all, they overcharged us. They added £2.30 to the bill for an extra portion of curly fries that should have been included in the £9.50 price. BEWARE !!!.

Went here a couple of weeks ago with a group of friends for a late breakfast and were simply blown away with the portion sizes and the quality of food, the presentation of the food was also amazing and their fresh fruits on the pancakes were the cherry on the top for me and I loved the fact that they had healthy options available on their menu as well. definitely my new go-to spot in Waltham cross

I have been here a few times for the £8 all day breakfast but have noticed the cheap poor quality bread being served for toast. The sausages are lovely but the bread should be better quality at the price being paid. I hope this cafe does not start using cheap wholesale ingredients like the other cafes in the area. It was the poor quality bread of the other cafes that made me choose to eat elsewhere.

I’ve been coming here all week and I’ve tried various dishes. I can honestly say this place is perfect. From the hygiene to the service and then there’s the food! Reasonably priced excellent portion size and delicious. Customer service is amazing too.

Superb lunch, second visit and would highly recommend. A hiden gem that must be visited. You will definitely not be disappointed

I discovered last week Maya Bistro with my housbound.We both agree to step in and try to taste the food,I was completley impressed of them quality/taste/flavour and colorful food. About the staff I will say "very polite and helpfull" they will make u fell so happy that You choise to step in. The owner a very young but ambitios gentleman was offering us an amazing desert witch make ur mind to go right in the childhood memories.That's why today I came back for more. If it will be a note to give it will be a milion plus.💕 Thank you and.. YOU WILL NEVER BEE DISSAPOINTED TO STEP IN AND TRY THEM DELICIOUS AMAZING FOOD.

Recently opened in Waltham Cross and a great addition to the High Street. Came in for breakfast and was impressed with the quality and presentation and selection of food. Some yummy smoothies to kickstart the day and we were able to take away what we couldnt finish. Decor is classy and staff both attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Never been to a place with such a beautiful atmosphere and service in waltham cross. The manager Akin was a delight to speak to and was really polite and customer service was immaculate. The food was also top notch i've been going to breakfast bar for years but i feel like they've a major competitor, because Mayya Bistro have won me over with the service and food

Nice vibe and warm friendly greeting. Nice restaurant, very clean, good menu choice at very reasonable prices. Choices for Vegans, Vegetarians and Pescatarians... Highly recommended. Had scotch beef lasagne with chips and salad.. All tasty and well presented washed down with a nice classic Italian...

Stopped of this evening had the most amazing steak and pasta will be coming back again for food and with my mates next week for dinner before a night

I highly recommend Mayaas Bistro! It was our first visit. My fiancé and I went for Valentines Day brunch and I had the most amazing Hollandaise Brioche I’ve ever had, my fiancé got the wrap and was equally impressed. The decor and atmosphere was amazing....

Nice meal tonight, food was really well cooked and plentiful. Ambience really relaxed and staff were attentive and very willing to please, a real bonus for the town, please give them a go, nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel very welcome.
