Went few weeks ago . Staff very nice and cheerful . Pizzas were all nice

A friend and I went to Wakefield Pizza Hut and it was pretty clear, which made for quick service. The staff were lovely, Erin and Dec were absolutely great and made sure we got everything we needed. Food was good as always, very happy indeed :)

Good food good service clean and welcoming

I visited with my mum, we opted for one of the specials, where we got started, main, salad and desert. Staff were lovely, food taste fresh - I always consider Pizza Hut to be poor quality food, with poor taste, however this experience completely changed my mind. Really good tasting food. Would go back. Avoid the salad though - too many kids use there fingers.

Staff friendly, amd helpful. Value for money. They cater for all tastes, ans ages. Have attention to allergies. Will be returning. Thank you

No fizzy drinks let the visit down

Great bargin if you love pizza. Only thing is with a pizza hut buffet is that you need the place to be busy enough for a good change of pizzas but not too busy that there's not much choice.

2nd visit here both times Lovely and quiet week day, comfortable temperature, and seated appropriately and spaced out from other diners which I really appreciate! Waitress was lovely polite and helpful and thoughtfully asked about pulling the blind to shade from the sun, son said the food was scrumptious 😋, dad said it was excellent value and mum well I adore the salad bar! And all the sauces! Thank you Erin for looking after our table!

The food and service are always amazing in the Wakefield pizza hut. The staff, especially Freya, are always lovely and attentive. The buffet is always well stocked and lovely and hot, and we always have a lovely variety to choose from.

The place was virtually empty. It became clear after the food arrived as to why. The best part for me at Pizza Hut was always the salad bowl. Unfortunately the selection didn’t look that appetising but I managed to pick a few things and then popped some sweetcorn on top and it was slimy. The tortilla chips were soggy too. So I decided not to eat the salad. The pizza arrived, the base was lovely, the thin sourdough one , the toppings were good too but I struggled to see where the cheese was. It was so disappointing. Nobody came back to see how our meal was and it wouldn’t have been hard as they weren’t having to deal with a busy restaurant it was pretty much empty apart from a couple of tables We ordered bottomless drinks as we planned on staying a while but we were so disappointed with the quality. So my husband got up and asked for a takeout box and paid the extortionate £38.97 for one 14 inch pizza and two glasses of pop. They’ve got big windows in Pizza Hut; they saw us coming as they say. This is an absolute waste of money and we feel very let down and cheated. To add insult to injury we were chased out of the restaurant shouting across the car park to us “excuse me you need to come back in and pay”. And… the tables, chairs and even the door to the ladies were sticky and need a dam good clean. Don’t waste your money. Get one from Aldi and get your oven on.

Declan served us today and we immediately felt welcomed by him, super lovely guy! The food was delicious and as always the salad bowls are a great free addition to the pizzas. Thank you and be back soon!

Enjoyed our buffet. We were looked after by Declan and Jodie. They ensured the buffet is regularly stocked up with a good selection of pizzas. Highly recommended.

I’m a cook myself been doing this as job working in different Italian restaurants and pizza takeaways . Been to waky pizza hut a few days ago for the first time. Ate worst pizza of my life. Paid £30 just for a 14” pizza and there was nothing right on that pizza I can talk about. I really thought I’m gonna get a proper meal as £30 is proper money for a 14” but totally disappointed and fuming cause of what I got . Believe me them £5 pizzas from supermarkets bakery are way better than this. About service I have to say there is no service cause they show you your table and that’s it you scan the QR code and order and pour your drink and take your plate and put salad in it !

The restaurant was very quiet when we entered. Great service, the food was average. The price for 2 adults and 1 child was above average. Cost vs quality and overall experience, I wouldn't return.

The lunch time buffet deal is well worth it.

I can not thank the helpfulness and politeness of our Server called Katie, so refreshing to be served with a smile and great knowledge of the menu, nothing too much trouble and an asset to your company. Please go back to be waited on with a personal touch as she was Brilliant. Please please pass this feedback to her manager .

Too expensive it was £50 for 2 people it’s ridiculous however besides the price it was still good food.

Had to keep asking for vegetarian not everyone wants cheese n tomatoes, but sometimes they can be kind depending on who's working

Been to eat after a film at 9.15pm but left as resturant was closing. All salad bar gone and tables being closed. Was told they closed at 10 pm and that was it no offer to seat us nothing just we closed. When challenged about times they asked if we wanted to eat or not but the restaurant closes at 10! Really unhappy as in a place where cinema is bingo is and other things. McDonald’s,kfc,subway open and serving.

The staff are always lovely every time we come in, never had a bad experience or a bad server. The selection of pizzas on the buffet is amazing and my favourite thing is the cheesy broccoli pasta, never fails to amaze

Went to the Barnsley Pizza hut not long ago and walked out. Ordered for collection and I believe I spoke to the manager who was nothing but lovely and helpful. The food was really tasty too. Just nice to speak to and be served by lovely people for a change. Please go give the Barnsley staff some training in customer service!! Thank you 🙂

Food was nice but didn't think it was value for money. Service was really good, very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was let down by the poor maintenance of the restaurant, looking a little tired lots of light bulbs out and seats badly stained, shame as the team clearly try to create a nice experience.

Food was decent could've been slightly warmer eventhough we collected 5 or so mins before our collection window. Just a shame seeing such an empty restaurant

Expensive for the quality and portion they serve. The free salads are awful. There are many pizza competitors all around ,far more reasonably priced with a variety and better taste. There was only us sitting in the huge dining area on a weekend night; so you could guess that the popularity has declined. The pizza hut, overall, was far better 10 years ago. Time to re-think your menu and price card in the current times.

Pizza was dry with dry shards of chicken making me cough and staff inattentive talking at bar seemingly uninterested very dissapointing as it was lovely here a few years ago :(

Visited tonight the place was very quiet we were the only ones in there , food was not good at all pizza was lacking , and the food is very over priced for the quality you get! However on the other hand the staff was friendly & helpful , would not return again unfortunately!

Really good customer service, nice enough place to eat. Plenty of options and great for gluten free eating. Only problem I found was that the Pizzas tasted a bit synthetic. Nothing tasted particularly nice, just ultra processed stuff and the chicken wings tasted weird - the flavourings on the honey wings tasted odd. Still, the kids enjoy it here and the gluten free aspect is great. Pizza Express for less processed ingredients. Manager helped us with a discount that we managed to not enter correctly at the order stage of the website.

The atmosphere is a little bit noisy. The pizza is normal. The manager was very kind and attentive.

Pizza Hut was the choice of our grandchildren and they weren't disapointed. They enjoy the kids meals with a go at the icecream fountain at the end. Horses for courses as they say but we enjoyed the pizzas too. I've always been a fan of their deep crust and, as usual, went for a veggie. I also like having a good go at the salad bar. We had a lovely young lady serving us and that makes all the difference I think - I'm not sure what advantage there is in using their app unless you're in a tearing hurry.

Managers are absolutely disgraceful, they seem constantly short staffed but yet the Managers do not offer any help in the kitchen. Food is slow to come out due to unfit staff for the role, they seem to hire anybody that they can find. Appalling. Will not be returning, and the Managers need a reality check!

There was no deep pan only thin base and we had to have what there was ..for a fruit drink squash that added lots of water was £3.99 a rip off. Only realised when paying.Was expensive for not great food.

Arrived without booking. It was busy but got a table no waiting. Staff very attentive. Ordered from the table. Downside is the process asks if you want to tip before uou have had food etc. I think this needs reviewing as I have never tipped before food etc as you dont know what it will be like. Sort this and it could be five stars on my next review

Would give 0 stars if i could. Ordered 85 pounds worth of food for a family get together, the driver arrived with 1 small pizza. Called pizza hut due to the delivery driver stating only one pizza was there to pick up. Manager not helpful just blamed the driver, poor communication on the management side with no customer service skills what so ever. Not reliable and would never order again

A great experience as always for the buffet. Usually we tend to go when everyone's kids are at school as they usually run riot when people are having a meal with no control from the parents either.

Just an over glorified chain restaurant, with over priced, mediocre food. I hadn't been here for nearly 10 years and in that space of time it definitely hasn't gotten better, got dragged here by family who were also very disappointed. The pizza was doughy and under cooked, the toppings were bland also don't get me started on adding veggie toppings, £2 for sweetcorn!! What??, drinks over priced and the salad was disgusting and looks like it just sits out all day! The service was poor, unhelpful and they just expect you to sit down and order from the app. People stop giving Pizza Hut your money! They don't know how to make pizza!

Bit disappointed with the pizza and the amount of toppings. I really only got a 7" pizza rather than 9" because the rest was crust which makes it a very expensive pizza for 15.99.

Disappointed we paid 15.99 and only getting 2 inch of topping in the middle and the rest crust. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately myself and my family came out of here very disappointed. The pizza that came I couldn't justify the money for them as they are thinner than your bank card...we usually order home delivery all the time but decided to go into the restaurant. So the £6 pizzas that you order online that come 3 times thicker are £12.99 in the restaurant if they had been the same thickness I would have allowed the extra cost for service etc but unfortunately it's very disappointing. The cookie dough and ice-cream £6.99 that came and was very small was not a sharing desert my 14 year old had one and 2 of us (adults) was supposed to share the other absolutely not big enough for the price... I won't ever return to the restaurant as I say I cannot justify the money for the food offered. Had to take the kids to Rassams for a real cookie dough for £6.99! Just to mention also we ordered everything online and was not asked by the restaurant staff if our meals were OK or anything we got everything ourselves... so on that note I cannot justify paying more in a restaurant for the service, as it wasn't really offered

Good fresh salad, lovely service

As a kid in 80s/90s I loved this place, however the pizza was poor hardly any cheese, very pricey for what you get. Maybe spend more money on staff and resource and the price justify the product, what I will say is that although hardly any staff they did do there best. You order via app and for me it takes away the personalised experience when you have a waitress/waiter. Sometimes they older ways wasn't always outdated.

Silly pricing for very average food

Well, where to begin? I decided to take the family out for a cost-effective meal and as we had not been to Pizza Hut in years, we thought we would give it a shot (Wakefield). So, first bad signs - card only, do not accept the Queen's (or King's) money...bad omen. The waitress took us to the table and insisted we ordered via the app, but we refused (I am not interested in company's harvesting my data). Eventually, she came over and took our order and we ordered a couple of coffees, an apple juice and the buffet. The salad bar was poor and the only real good looking items were the tomatoes, the rest was very average or covered with sauce. The pizza was ALL bread without toppings, you may as well ordered a loaf of bread. The pasta was appalling and lashings of sauce on a cheap pasta designed to fill you up as quickly as possible. My wife and I suffered side pains because of the amount of bread and my daughter had stomach ache all night. Plus to top of it off, it still cost £50.00 for the 'meal'. Points of note: You have loads of competitors out there that offer much higher quality at a lower price. They do not demand your data, or insist you pay by card only. You need FRESH high quality ingredients, not absolute slop not fit for animals. Your pizzas are absolutely disgusting consisting of bread which is clearly not fresh, hence the side effects. I will never set foot in one of your establishments again. I am still suffering from yesterday's experience even now. You have even cut your overheads by minimising the amount of staff you have and instead you increase your prices to accommodate this and automate the process. Now I truly understand why I will never go back to Pizza Hut. I would rather eat Jabba the Hutt

We hadn't been to Pizza Hut since before the pandemic, and now you have to order on an app via a QR code at the table. We visited around 3pm on a Sunday, and it was fairly quiet. Staff were friendly and efficient, so I guess the app has made things quicker and easier, but less personal as we seemed to see less of our servers. It was also quite expensive, and we ended up getting a deal to make it more worthwhile. The food was good, but it would have been cheaper and easier to get it delivered rather than have a meal in the restaurant.

Ist visit to a pizza hut in a while, average and overpriced. Couldn't use Blue Light Card as we opted for Individual deals. This should be made clear on Menus and before ordering. Kids menu ok value for money, soft drinks expensive, salad free (worth £6.99 )with the size of the salad bowls, copious amounts would need consuming to equate to the £6.99, cheesy balls very oily, onions rings not cooked enough tasted doughy. Hawian Pizza absolutely tasteless (ASDAs so much nicer ) base not as crispy as expected again doughy and greasy, All in all £70 spent. Will stick to ASDA in future even with no Blue light card it is cheaper and soooo tasty.

Pizza hut, is just pizza hut. However, one thing this site does have is excellent customer service! Even when dealing with difficult situations as I witnessed one waitress having to deal with!

The service was prompt and polite. The pizza was slightly greasy (pepperoni) for me but no issues with the taste. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The food was hot and readily available. The buffet was inclusive to vegetarians and the salad bar and pasta options were incredible. Staff were friendly and great and very informative, answering my questions. Would visit this Pizza Hut again!

Nothing positive to say Expensive, poor quality, rude staff, unclean....

Went with a friend for lunchtime buffet. We have been going here for almost 20 years, and it’s slowly been going down hill. We arrived about 1pm, and buffet is served until 3pm, so plenty of time. Was surprised to see buffet is now £10 each, but we sat down anyway. The server came to the table, and we asked for buffet. She asked us to order using the App! I’m sorry, but I’m in a restaurant! I shouldn’t be doing your job for you. How ridiculous to use an app to order, when the waitress is there in front of you - the mind boggles. I understand this may be a hangover from covid times, but we are (mostly) over that situation now, so let’s revert back to normal proceedings. I simply don’t understand what benefit there is to ordering by app? Unless it’s a backhand way of getting your email address, and so a way to bombard you with unwanted marketing. I suspect this is one reason. Perhaps the other is to reduce staff workload, and thus staff numbers as they were somewhat thin on the ground. We eventually ordered (without app), and helped ourselves to buffet salad bar. Reasonable choice, and most items available, save for an empty salad dressing. Then to my largest bug bear - drinks. My friend ordered a refill soft drink, and I was going to do the same. However, I was informed there was no original Pepsi. Only diet/Max, neither of which I like. The waitress explained they had taken this option off because of the sugar tax, claiming it was too expensive. Well, I have looked this up. A carton of original post mix Pepsi, inc VAT, is £75.48, and a diet carton of post mix £58.20. Each provides 105 pints of drink. This makes it 72p and 55p per pint respectively, at cost price to them. Ago, just 17p difference. Now, they are charging £3.59 for a refill drink, which to be fair, isn’t too bad compared with other places locally. But how is 17p too much to offer Pepsi original as a refill also? Now comes the really irritating part. The waitress asked if I could just drink diet/Max. Well no, I simply don’t enjoy the taste. To me, the diet versions stand out a mile. They taste artificial and bitter. So, she then informed me I could order a bottle of Pepsi which was original. Now I am wise to this, and asked the size and price. Turns out to be 330mL, (can of coke size), for £3.60. Yes, £3.60! This makes a pint £6.20, and not refillable. I’m sorry, but I’m not paying £6.20 for a pint of coke. Anywhere. So. I asked for tap water. (Don’t like this much either, but I’m not being ripped off). Ultimately then, they earned £0.00 from my drinks order, when they could have eared £2.88 for one pint, £2.16 if I had 2 pints (likely amount), or even £1.44 if I had 3 pints. In fact, I’d have had to have 6 pints for them to be at a loss. Had they have served this, I would also be a happier customer, so this makes it even more ridiculous. Even the Toby carvery 500m down the road offers refills Pepsi for a sensible price. Surely happy customers is what they are looking for. I asked the waitress if she would be willing to pay £3.60 for a can of coke. She said she doesn’t like diet, but wouldn’t be prepared to pay this overinflated price. Pure rip off. If it mattered so much, I’d even be willing to pay extra to be able to have refill original Pepsi. For the rest of the meal, it was fairly standard. There were a fairly poor selection of pizza, and on many occasions we had to wait for fresh to be brought out. The website really does big up the menu, promoting a large variety of flavours. It’s simply not true. For what we paid, it was substandard. Overall, quite a poor experience. I’d have to be pushed (quite firmly I may add) to return. I also see from reviews on TA, management NEVER comment or apologise, or even thank customers for their reviews. Clearly the sign of a management team who simply don’t care what their customers think, and are not interested in making improvements. I wouldn’t be surprised if it closed down in the near future because of lacklustre staff attitudes and way overpriced food. £10 is bad enough, but the normal menu prices defy belief. Visit only if you a) have more money than sense or, b) have a severe hatred of your wallet.

when I called and asked if they did delivery and I was met with a no, I was disappointed at first but the staff were very helpful. I was able to go and collect it instead and all the staff seemed to love doing their job

Salad bar is the highlight here. And it's not the best in earth. You get what you pay for but that doesn't include good customer service. You must have to pay extra for that! 😄

Its been a while since we have been to a Pizza Hut for a lunchtime buffet and we wont be rushing back, price is now £10 each, no longer includes a drink in the price, so its another £3.50 each for refillable drinks. Pizza choices were limited, hot pasta tray was empty both times i went up to get some, salad bar is ok but very basic and pizzas were all quite bland tasting apart from pepperoni ones. Staff were friendly enough but all they do is show you to a table, as you order using a QR code, so you pay up front before you get any food or drink and it asks if you want to tip staff...why would you want to tip staff for showing you to a table, you're tipping for service you havent yet received!! Pizza Hut buffet always used to be busy, but was very quiet for a lunchtime and there was no atmosphere. Overall disappointing, not worth the money...sort it out Pizza Hut!

Quite busy that night but didn’t mean the service was just as good as usual. Got a table instantly the pizza was really hot and fresh which was very nice. All in all for the price and portion size for that price I have not a single complaint 🙂 can’t wait to go again

Kids had a really good time, family friendly and used app ordering for the first time. All came quickly and was nice. All around very good experience.

Nice and friendly staff. Meat feast pizza was a little tomato-ey and maybe could have done with a minute or two extra in the oven. Kids enjoyed theirs although their garlic bread sides were a little over toasted. Some of the sacrifices you take when you go during the buffet period
