Pizza Express in Ashford

Amazing meal tonight! Celebrated my dad’s birthday and the staff were so friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Special shout outs to Jordan and Alicja who just made the evening so easy and helped entertain our young children! Thanks so much! We’ll be back soon!

Great food, had awesome service. They let us in even though they were supposed to stop allowing new people in 5 mins before. Nice atmosphere, definitely where I'll be eating again next time I go to the outlet.

Chris our server was very attentive, and although busy as Easter holidays took time to ensure our meal and drinks were all ok and what we ordered. Also a mention to Izabela who we have met before, and although not our server, took time when she could to have a chat with us. They are both friendly, whilst remaining professional. Always a delight to enjoy a meal there.

Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. As visitors, we felt unwelcome and overlooked. The waiter, Charlie, was the one who served us, but he seemed disinterested and rather rude. It felt like we were treated differently just because we are not locals, which was upsetting. We hope the restaurant improves its attitude towards guests from different backgrounds.

Ordered through JustEat and they didn’t even give some of the items in our order but we got charged for it!! How do they get away with that?! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE GUYS! They must get hungry and keep some of the food for themselves!!

Had a family meal here Sunday after 5 driving back from Hastings. Wasn’t very nice the way the staff ignored you as you’re waiting to be seated, it wasn’t busy, once we were seated the food was very nice and our waitress even told us how to get more money off. We paid via the app and also thought it was cheeky there is a minimum 10% tip levy

Visited this restaurant with my daughter and my 2 grandsons aged 2 and 6mths. Staff were patient and calm even though my youngest grandson was a bit grumpy (teething!) Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was amazing, came out hot and perfectly timed with the calmness of said grumpy baby!! Absolutely 5*

Food was good as always. But service was so incredibly slow! To the point where we were sat for 20 mins after finishing our food to try to get someone's attention to pay the bill. Wait staff cleared multiple tables, no one checked in to see if the food was OK. I'm pretty easy going, but after I watched a waiter clear yet another table (there were multiple empty tables) I became quite annoyed. Only 2 of us dining, myself and my young daughter. We were in there 1 and a half hours... far too long! Felt completely invisible as a customer today!

Absolutely fantastic pizza making party at Pizza Express! We recently had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday there, and it was a truly memorable experience, largely thanks to the incredible staff, especially our host, Natty. From the moment we arrived, Natty was a whirlwind of positive energy, instantly putting the kids (and adults!) at ease. He was incredibly funny, keeping everyone entertained with his jokes and engaging personality. His patience was truly remarkable. He managed to keep everything running smoothly and organized, ensuring everyone had a chance to participate and create their own delicious pizzas. Natty's ability to connect with the kids was exceptional. He explained the pizza-making process clearly and enthusiastically. He demonstrated each step with flair, and the kids were completely captivated. The entire party was well-organized, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The pizzas themselves were, of course, delicious! But it was Natty's exceptional personality and dedication that truly made the party a standout. If you're looking for a fun, engaging, and delicious party experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Pizza Express. And if you're lucky enough to have Natty as your host, you're guaranteed an unforgettable time. He is a credit to Pizza Express, and we cannot praise him enough. Highly recommended!

As if the chefs are allergic to putting cheese or sauce on the pizzas and cooked for a bit to long to where one of our pizzas couldn't even be eaten it was so dry. And having to wait 20 minutes for the bill and one of the servers saying they had to get a different person to come and do the bill. Definitely not a competent look to the branch

Came to the Ashford Branch for a catch up with some girlfriends and dinner- the food was great and the level of service we had from Ali was impeccable, she was the perfect level of attentiveness, she made sure we were looked after and was so kind! We were in for about an hour before we actually ordered anything as we needed to wait for 1 in our party to arrive and we were not rushed at all which was soo refreshing! Can’t rave about Ali more! I hope she is recognised for her work.

Excellent service from Ali , excellent food , although very expensive I thought. I’m a pensioner and wanted to treat our Son , Daughter in law and Grandchildren. Couldn’t afford this too often. Have you ever thought about a discount for pensioners. ?

1st time eating here and I must say it was a very fast service , The staff were very friendly and professional the restaurant was very clean and tidy, if you down load the pizza express app you can get 50% of pizzas and there's loads more money off tokens I was impressed by everything so if you're hungry and there's a pizza express around pop in and give it a go ,I highly recommend trying and I recommend making your own pizza I have a margarita, bbq base ,ham pepperoni, onion, peppers , mushrooms, on whatever base I fancy it's absolutely fantastic highly recommend trying 😋

Always love a good pizza express, but this one by far is the best stopped in for lunch today and had the most amazing waitress Ali! Was addressed quickly as we walked in and gave us menus with plenty of time to read through and decide whilst she got our drinks took our order was lovely to her walking around with a big smile ready to help. the meal itself was absolutely brilliant especially the meatball pizza and the lasagne! Will definitely be returning soon

Rude staff. Arrived 5pm, no queue, stood waiting to be seated for 10 mins, wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. Gave up and went elsewhere.

Staff very nice. Good they allow dogs. The quality of the food is poor for the price. Almost £20 for an extremely thin Romana pizza with toppings scrimped on. It's one thing needing to win the Lottery just to go out for dinner in a chain, it's another when the chain is then stingy on it's food. I won't be rushing back. Better to spend my money at 5 Guys.

Very busy when we visited. Queuing out the door, but no real urgency of staff to clear tables or seat new customers. Food of good quality and healthy sized portions. Very cramped with very little space between tables.

As regular customers here, we were really looking forward to our lunchtime meal today, we've been here many times before and it's our favourite pizza express. It was a really blustery day outside so as we approached the entrance, there was ample room for 5 of us to stand inside before being seated. We waited, but as other customers were also trying to get in, my husband moved very slightly into the restaurant area with my son (to make space for everyone as the horrible weather was getting worse whilst me and my daughters waited in the waiting area to be seated) A rather large gentleman wearing a checked shirt (who was in charge of seating) abruptly told my husband that he shouldn't be stood in the restaurant, he should wait outside as the inside space wasn't for him to stand? My husband was doing the right thing by giving space to a couple who had a toddler and a new born in a buggy. How very dare he! Why was no one else told this when they were waiting inside? Was my husband a dog? He said this in a very rude and abrupt way like my husband was an idiot, my husband nearly walked out as he felt so embarrassed. I then questioned this man and asked him where we were meant to stand and explained that my husband was accommodating other guests who had younger children than ours. The seating guy apologised many times by saying "I'm so very sorry" did he think it was ok to speak to us in this manner? Did he think because we were of Asian origin we couldn't understand or speak English? He also rudely told another Asian lady who walked in after us and picked up a menu to wait outside. I'm still fuming as all the other staff in this venue are absolutely amazing and credit to your company, we see them everytime we go for a meal and the service and food are both superb but please have a word with this guy who seated us for our 12.15 booking 26th January 2025 as his attitude and behaviour was disgusting, there's no point trying to make amends with us when you realise we're actually British born citizens who quite clearly speak perfect English, understand etiquette and common decency which this guy obviously doesn't have. Luckily the server we had and the meal prepared for us was absolutely lovely, just shame you have such a rude incompetent member of staff when your customers enter the premises.

Fantastic pizza place here and I was glad to be a gold member where lots of reward can be claimed here. During peak times on certain days this place can be packed and expecting queues.

I came in on Sunday after completing my shop and was warmly greeted and served by Charlie. He was polite, efficient and answered any and all questions I had. The food was amazing as it always is but the service from Charlie really made it that much better. Thanks Charlie!

As always, Pizza Express delivers. Have eaten here for years! But I'm leaving a review because our service this time was the best ever: Natty was amazing, what a kind and caring gentleman with so many years of knowledge working at Pizza Express, so impressive!! He made us laugh, was so attentive and really made us feel welcome and at home. We left with a new friend!!! The company should be proud to have a server as good as him, he should be running a top restaurant in London. Times like this, we make the effort to drive a long way to come back.

Can’t rate service or atmosphere as meal was Deliveroo but I ordered the Caesar salad and found a very long hair in it. This of course put me off finishing my food so ended up hungry and out of pocket. Deliveroo just advised to leave feedback and not a solution. Poor service from them

Terrible experience here. Unusual for Pizza Express. The pizza I ordered barely had any toppings on. I questioned it with the server there and she was very rude and made it feel like I was in the wrong. I asked nicely but she insisted that that's how it comes and was laughing at my questions about it. Not helpful at all. When I started eating it the pizza was soggy and the dough was undercooked. It felt like everything there was rushed. No friendly interactions with the staff (all four that attended our table) and it seemed like they just wanted customers in and out as quickly as possible. Very poor all round and inconsistent with a chain that's usually very good. I would expect much better when there is plenty of competition around the outlet. Hopefully the other restaurants there offer a much higher quality of service and food. Avoid.

Great place to eat. It gets busy due to being in the middle of the outlet centre, but that's all part of the experience. Food and drink are reasonable priced and children welcomed with a friendly face. I would recommend the new dough balls wrapped in bacon and served with a honey mustard dip. The Nduja calzone was amazing, but one star lost due to the amount of rocket thrown on the plate. My wife loves the original bruschetta and the pollo ad astra laggara pizza. No pictures were taken as I was too hungry to get my phone out. Get the App too and oua get some good deals. We paid £40 ish from £57 due to savings from the app.

All good apart of atmosphere as could be more lively with more decorations

This is one of our favourite pizza chains in the country. We were here during the weekend and there was a bit of wait to get seated but it’s worth it. Our go to choice is the American Hottest.

My fave Pizza Express. Great staff, really friendly and knowledgeable on gluten intolerance issues. I feel safe ordering and have never been ill after a visit here. We return often.

Worst service experienced for a long time. Getting the attention of waiters is impossible. They avoid eye contact with visitors at all cost requiring you to call them loudly only to then be referred to another colleague who is supposed to ‘cover’ your table but can’t be found anywhere. Paying the bill means you have to go to the front desk and no one bothers to look after you. Coke was lukewarm. Pizza mediocre and a joke at that full price considering its size. Spoke to the alleged manager whose listening skills are non existent. Edit: emailed as asked for. Over 1 week and 1 chaser later still no reply. They don’t just ignore customers in the restaurant but also via email.
