You have to order via an app as if it was a Just Eat take away. Not very easy to use either, we couldn't find the pizza we wanted on the menu in the app and were told that if it's not on the app then it's not available. Then they have the audacity to ask for a tip at checkout... This is before you've had any food and there hasn't actually been any service. You order your own food on the app, you get the salad yourself from the salad bar. You get your own drinks and ice cream from the stations... asking for a tip is utterly ludicrous! Barely saw any staff other than when they delivered the pizza. Seating was also uncomfortable as the table and chair was bolted to the floor. Not a pleasant dining experience, they are more interested in reducing their costs and maximizing their turnover.

This place is beautiful! You can easily park, you can make a donation for this, but it is not mandatory. The dogs are allowed loose in certain places and fixed in some places, this is indicated due to live stock. You can take the easy routes, through the grass, which is easy to walk on in sandals. However, me and my husband + our two dogs, we walked the devils kneading trough that is in this area. Walking shoes are recommended, it is steep but really worth it! What a beautiful environment. The climb up is tough but there are steps. Take your time and breaks and enjoy everything you encounter!

Our stay at Champneys Ashford this time wasn't as good as last time unfortunately. We couldn't enjoy the spa freely because of the restrictions on entry times for certain guests. Also, the chlorine levels were so high that everyone's eyes were stinging. And on the second day, the jacuzzi wasn't working at all. There were no robes in anyone's rooms so people were having to chase around to find their own robes. The bedroom was filled with cobwebs and was quite chilly, but somehow I managed to get burnt by the piping hot towel rail in the bathroom. A bit dangerous! As a married couple, we wanted a romantic spa break so booked a double room. However, we ended up with twin beds pushed together. So no snuggles for us unfortunately. The breakfast was okay, and the staff were friendly, but we waited 45mins for our breakfast to be cooked which took us past the 11am checkout time, and we almost missed our cab to the station. Let's hope they don't deduct my account for late checkout. Unfortunately I don't think we will be back again. Although the grounds are beautiful, the standards seem to be slipping.

Will not be returning. Certain member of staff was disgustingly rude to me and my family. She approached me making comments about my children with an attitude and a sour face. Absolutely vile. The toilets were disgusting and looked like they have never been cleaned before. Floor and surfaces dusty and dirty. Most neglected costa I’ve ever been into. Needs a face life and new staff.
