I recently visited Pitcher & Piano in Nottingham with my young family and my parents, it was a great experience overall. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning—dining in a beautifully converted church made it a truly unique setting. The food was very good, and the service friendly and efficient, adding to the positive experience. Highly recommend checking it out!

[UPDATE] To respond to the comment left by the venue, you need to understand that the tables we were at, behind the bar, have 8 large PA speakers pointed directly at them, less than 10 feet away. All I wanted to do was not scream to be heard by my 90 year old aunt and uncle, who we take to lunch here several times a year because she loves the windows. Walk around with a DB meter -- it had to be well over 100 decibels in that spot. I'm a musician and was a sound engineer in the past, when I say it's loud, it's bloody loud, mate. And yes, the MoD (very patronisingly) said the same silliness about ambience. I don't think you understand what this word means. When people are talking louder, you don't turn UP the music, that makes no sense! Then they'll just shout themselves hoarse. That's idiotic any time, but at lunchtime on a weekday, as opposed to 12:30AM or something, it's positively perverse. Consider better speaker placement if you really think it's crucial to your brand that patrons eat their hot wings to Seal's greatest hits, or get a good sound engineer to adjust individual speaker volumes. I really doubt anyone cares, but you do you. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] At 13:00 in the afternoon during lunch, they suddenly cranked the volume of the music up on the sound system so loud that it was impossible to talk at our table. Asked wait staff to turn it down multiple times and the day manager was very rude about it. He said when there are big crowds for lunch they turn the music up. How does that make sense? Nobody wants to eat lunch in a nightclub.

The food was great, the scenery is spectacular and the service was fantastic.

Great and unusual place, friendly atmosphere, tasty food, cold drinks, and maybe the best hostess I have ever come across to these kinds of places! Definitely recommend it! 💯 💯 💯

Went here for NYE ‘24 - ticket/drinks/cloakroom (who would not use this in winter) were overpriced. DJs were terrible (and cringe). Will not be coming back!

An iconic Nottingham venue, the church bar is such a novelty which makes it so fun. The food feels a bit lack luster and wouldn't revisit for that and separately I think the whole place would benefit from changing the vibe to be intimate and candlelit as the party/dance floor/dark lit vibe especially when it is empty doesn't really impress

Beautiful building, stunning stained glass but had a pot of tea for one, teapot stained inside and dirty on the outside, the pot was very small and didn't even fill the small mug to the top. So didn't even get a full cup. Won't go back.

What a nice place to have a wonderful meal with the family! Warm and inviting, it is just the place to rest and share time with one's family. The food was great, and there were so many varieties that each different taste could be satisfied. We were served by Tia, who greeted us with a bright and welcoming smile. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service really lifted our dining experience. It's clear that the staff here take pride in making guests feel special.

An amazing dining experience and place to visit for drinks and food

12 of us went to the snowflake ball which I organised. The venue and entertainment were great. Not much area to dance though. The food was cold and it was suppose to be a warm buffet and we were first in the queue so we did complain and a lovely member of staff bought us some more cheeseburgers but they were cold too. Where we sat was very dark so not able to see well what we were eating and we were sat was near where some of the entertainment staff kept coming in and out and some were quite rude and never said excuse me when we were stood looking down and over at the entertainment. The video and camera crew were rushing around and sometimes no consideration who they got in front of or knocked into. Apart from that the rest was great and the cost was fine but expected more from the food. I also know you ran out of food so not everyone got enough. Next time I would suggest having hot plates and hot serving facilities to keep warm and people be served so the food is kept warm.

Stella was great, kept checking on us , always there to offer more drinks. Great service from stella.

Not sure if it was due to the time of the year but the venue felt very much like a Wetherspoons and with it being so bright it almost felt like it was closing time. Staff were great as you would expect just not the same atmosphere compared to previous visits last year.

if you are going to advertise on all your drink menus 2for1 cocktails Monday to Friday 12pm-7pm honor it. Got 4 cocktails tonight to be told you don't honor the deal as it's winter/Christmas time. At least put a sign up saying you have changed the deal at the bar

Had a lovely lunch here, even though they were busy with a Christmas party; Tee looked after us and the food came super quick and was tasty.

Really lovely atmosphere. Our waiter Tee was very attentive and kind. The menu has a variety of foods at reasonable prices. Overall, a great place to go for some lunch or an evening meal.

Such a wonderful place, especially around Christmas time! Our server Jess was really helpful guiding us through the menu due to my boyfriend's dietary requirements. She also gave us expert cocktail recommendations which is always a plus.

A lovely venue around 10 mins walk from train station and Utilities Arena so ideal for food before a show. Nice selection of food and drinks . Staff, Lish & Laura attentive and helpful.

Really impressed with everything from the ease of booking online, to the friendly welcome, the lovely waitresses, Lush and Laura, to the excellent Dirty Burger. Great atmosphere and like how spaced apart the tables are. Didn't feel like we were in top of each other.

Service very slow and we were time limited as had tickets for motorpoint arena concert. We had a 2 hour window , not served for 30 minutes and then had to ask staff . Food and atmosphere were great, although main courses were slow to arrive and payment on card machine kept failing. Noone checked on us or asked if needed more drinks, any sauces etc. Disappointed

I cannot recommend Pitcher and Piano enough. We had our work Christmas party there and rented out the full mezzanine. They gave us private use of the bar upstairs which was ideal for such a big group. The buffet was lovely - all food was hot, good quality, there was a great selection and no one left hungry! Chelcie (events manager) was a star throughout the organisation of the event and went above and beyond to make it as stress free as possible. Thank you!

Such a wonderful place! I really like the atmosphere. It was my first time, Sophie who is a beautiful girl works here, deal with us she was very kind and helpful. Everything was delicious that we ate. Especially I suggest arancini and calamari in small plates. Thank you Sophie 🤗

Visited this pub on a Saturday afternoon beautiful building well set out it was very busy as you would expect on Christmas Saturday staff seemed pushed to the limit but always polite. nice choice of beers wines .

The place is lovely with friendly and helpful members of staff. Sophie was our waitress and took good care of us. The food was great not a wide range of options but tastes very good and not too expensive would defo come again.

Me and my friends came for a Christmassy meal before going home from university. Overall the vibe was lovely. Stella served us and she was super friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious as well, will definitely be coming back.
