Went to Pitcher and Piano for drinks and had the most wonderful experience! The service was friendly and the drinks were delicious. The building was gorgeous - who knew they could put a bar in a church. Really groovy vibes!

Such an impressive venue and the staff are extremely helpful and polite. Will definitely be returning

Enjoyed some really nice cocktails on Saturday evening. Served by some very attentive bartenders. Really enjoyable atmosphere with a DJ and lovely outdoor seating area to soak up the sun.

Betsy was amazing, so attentive and on the ball! Unfortunately Betsy had to leave and said the colleague that she was handing over to would be taking care of us, we didn’t meet them and get an order from them for the duration of our bottomless brunch. Overall the food was lovely and the drinks were flowing, I would recommend here for a bottomless brunch!

First of all, the space is amazing! We have already told all of our friends about it on Facebook. They forgot to process our order, so we waited over an hour for our flatbread, BUT Chelcie, the hostess, was such a sweetheart that she more than made up for it. She checked up on us frequently, had little chats with us, and we just adored her! So much so, that we took a photo with her before we left. She was a big highlight of our trip to Nottingham! Give that girl a raise. She deserves it! She is definitely a star performer.

Tia was our server and made sure our experience was 10/10. She was on the ball with drinks and food service and had such a lovely personality which made our time at pitcher and paino as a whole very fun x

Best long island in the northern hemisphere

£16 burger tasted like a Burger King. Bith mine and my tings’ chips were under cooked. Atmosphere was awful playing loud pop music the whole time

I went to this place with my sister for her birthday. Abigail was our waitress, she was incredibly kind and helpful. Everything went really well, and the atmosphere was great.

Was expecting something classy just to be seated on a tiny table, that had 1 chair, everyone shouting couldn't hear myself think, and you sat us next to a stag/hen due that were all screaming behind us, cocktails are over priced for what they are 2 cost us over £20, we had 1 drink each and left as soon as we finished it to find somewhere better, only thing they've got going for them is it looks nice other than that it's basically a glorified weatherspoons apart from the fact I actually enjoy spoons

Great food and lovely scenery. DJ was excellent but the speakers were too loud we couldn't comfortably chat on our table.

Visitamos como un grupo grande para un cumpleaños de amigos. Toda la comida pre pedido antes del día. Bonito lugar de aspecto, pero las bebidas son muy caras y la comida es basura y muy cara. Fuimos al acogedor club hoy y pagamos menos por comida muy superior. Honestamente no podrían haber hecho menos esfuerzo con la comida, deberían estar avergonzados de lo que se sirve, probamos una buena parte del menú entre nosotros y fue decepcionante en todos los ámbitos. La mayoría de las órdenes también eran incorrectas.

Evening April 2025. Pub in a very particular deconsecrated church. I wanted to eat something, but it seems like dinner isn't possible. I got a pina colada for £10. The staff is not in a hurry

Staff were great, the building is impressive but it's just been ruined by endless stag and hen groups. If you're Gona go in then make sure you've had pre drinks beforehand so it numbs your sense of smell because of how badly it smells of vomit. Mens toilets were disgusting and flooded. Just not a nice place to be at all.

Sadly it's gone down hill since our last visit. Still a lovely venue but little in the way of atmosphere and poor levels of service. Was sat at a table drinking and chatting when a member of staff placed a reserved sign on it and said we had 10 mins. Not impressed

Recently hired the venue for a work event of around 100 people , the catering was tailored to our requirements and dietary options were clear. The service and communication both prior and during the event was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Chelcie & the team.

We went for pre-dinner drinks a group of four adults and a toddler. The staff were extremely kind and attentive, making sure we were comfortable at all times. The toddler wasn’t feeling too well and Chelsea even gave him some free ice cream! We’ll definitely be back. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

[UPDATE] To respond to the comment left by the venue, you need to understand that the tables we were at, behind the bar, have 8 large PA speakers pointed directly at them, less than 10 feet away. All I wanted to do was not scream to be heard by my 90 year old aunt and uncle, who we take to lunch here several times a year because she loves the windows. Walk around with a DB meter -- it had to be well over 100 decibels in that spot. I'm a musician and was a sound engineer in the past, when I say it's loud, it's bloody loud, mate. And yes, the MoD (very patronisingly) said the same silliness about ambience. I don't think you understand what this word means. When people are talking louder, you don't turn UP the music, that makes no sense! Then they'll just shout themselves hoarse. That's idiotic any time, but at lunchtime on a weekday, as opposed to 12:30AM or something, it's positively perverse. Consider better speaker placement if you really think it's crucial to your brand that patrons eat their hot wings and chicken gujons to Seal's greatest hits, or get a good sound engineer to adjust individual speaker volumes. I really doubt anyone cares, but you do you. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] At 13:00 in the afternoon during lunch, they suddenly cranked the volume of the music up on the sound system so loud that it was impossible to talk at our table. Asked wait staff to turn it down multiple times and the day manager was very rude about it. He said when there are big crowds for lunch they turn the music up. How does that make sense? Nobody wants to eat lunch in a nightclub.

It was a refreshing place to visit, as we had been recommended. If all these old Churches could be turned into eating or places to make them work in another way than a place to worship, I am all in favour of this. While eating, you sit in a pleasant environment and have plenty to look at with its stained glass windows and the way the architects have used all the space wisely, turning a bare Church into something very special. The food was reasonable, as was the price. Service friendly and waiting time good. You can try it and book first since it can get hectic. I would give it higher stars, but with so many good eating places around this area, I wanted to be fair, but I was not disappointed with what I ate.

Great to have a few drinks and a meal before a show. The chicken and Chorizo flatbread was so tasty, the chicken was seasoned very well. The service was great. Me and my sister both had the same cocktail, mine tasted different to hers (in not a nice way) so i let the waitress know and they made a fresh one and it was perfect, they are really helpful. Thank you so much for a lovely experience.

We ordered cocktails outside via the qr code at 5:20pm nothing came for half an hour in the end we had to flag a waitress down who said the ticket had been lost and then presented us with our drinks which were just so sugary they were not nice. Long wait for nothing and had we not said anything would have been a long wait for literally nothing.

This is a lovely, unusual place with a very friendly atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The food was nice and the facilities were clean. All in all I would definitely recommend a visit if nearby.

5th or 6th time there. Twice a year with work. Amazing building. Great experience the first time or two but tonight and the last couple were the same, not great at all. A group of 13 spent 45 minutes waiting for a drink ordercwhich took 20 to be served. The majority were given main course first and got a starter 15 minutes later. I was actually served a main and 5 mins later it was taken off me to be given to another table. One of our guests asked for a straw three times at the bar and the staff were rude. At one point everyone had an empty glass. Staff seemed disinterested. I never write reviews and always give the benefit of the doubt but the service we got was unacceptable. We normally have 30 people, this group was small and it wasn't busy. We wont be back again. Disappointing.

Well let’s be honest, you don’t really go here for the food. You go here for the drinks. We went for a 2-1 cocktail night and the cocktails were in fact really good. They weren’t overly sweet or bitter and they justified the price. However, customers, not all cocktails are 2-1 and only the starred ones on the menu are - that’s only about 7 or 8 really so the selection isn’t massive. The food wasn’t great and my supposedly medium rare steak was almost well done. The same applied for another steak on a table which was disappointing really. It wasn’t particularly flavour which was a shame for something that cost almost £20. Toilets are very clean and accessibility is really good. The venue is also gorgeous and would recommend as a first experience. The staff was very friendly and made sure we felt ‘well served’ so thank you for their hard work. I recommend the negroni.

Once we arrived we were greeted by a very bubbly and friendly group of staff - such as Betsy, Lish and Abi. We were served by Jessie who made sure we were well-hydrated and looked after. Overall it was a seamless and brilliant experience photo-shooting at a place with such a warm and inviting atmosphere and incredible scenery. We wouldn't have been able to capture what we did without such professional and kind people around us that day. Thank you again for having us!

Popped in for a quick dinner before attending a concert, the venue itself is quite impressive, set in a church and the aesthetic works very well. Seating was great as well as the service. The food was very reasonably priced with alot of different options and deals, we chose 5 small plates to share and the food was delicious and generously portioned

Had an excellent time here recently. Really delicious food, which I’ll admit I did not expect, but it was super tasty at what seemed a roughly fair price point too. It’s a beautiful bar, but it’s a bit chilly when it’s not busy and it’s not sunny outside - not surprising for a former church. Beer options here have improved and are kept better than previously. But best of all, the staff are lovely. They had felt tips and colouring sheets ready for my daughter, and her food, which was also very tasty, was not piping hot when it arrived, which is brilliant. She could tuck in straight away and there was no tantrum while she waits for food to be blown on. Great stuff. Very much recommend.

Unique venue with decent food and reasonably priced drinks.

We had called in for drinks before going to our apartment located behind the Pitcher and Piano Whilst there we looked at the menu and decided to have tea there after watching the Nottingham Panthers at the arena. Sophie our waitress was friendly and attentive, she explained the menu to us and asked about any allergies. The food was nice especially the fries. We enjoyed our tea in great surroundings in a wonderful building. More Churches should be converted in to bars.

The atmosphere is good, but the taste is average. The staff is friendly and the service is good. There are various beers to choose from and they are delicious. Isn't the cost performance average?

Amazing experience at the Pitcher & Piano tonight! Great food & drinks but our server Scarlett was incredible. She looked after us so well, we were never without drinks & she kept us informed of when to expect food. She even remembered a discount code we had & ensured it was applied at the end of the night. Great experience.. highly recommend!!!

What a beautiful church conversion, it is absoloutely stunning and well worth a visit for something to eat. I had a chicken cesar salad which was lovely and my server was Tee who was extremely polite, pleasant and attendant.

Great bar/bistro style place in a former church. Not much of a selection of beers & the menu is a bit limited, but it's a great location with plenty of seating options & a good vibe when busy. Food is a bit "regular catering supply" but it's fine if you're not too fussy or on a budget. Staff are polite & efficient too.

My large party and I were served by a lovely waitress, Betsy, who was very good to us and was happily willing to move around tables etc :) Her great service really added to our overall wonderful night!

Music was a bit loud, but otherwise a great restaurant to accommodate our group of 20+! Food was tasty, nice interiors and not too busy on a Tuesday night. Staff were also attentive and friendly. Thank you!

This is my second time here—I first visited with my dad a couple of years ago. It’s an amazing place with great food, and the service was excellent. Our server this time, Lizzie, was fantastic. Such a gorgeous place!

Visited on a Monday late afternoon, initially not too many people in but started to fill up around 4.30. Chilled relaxed vibe, very attentive service, shout out to Lish who was very good, nothing was too much trouble, even coming up and taking our drinks order while we were in the queue at the bar. Food was lovely, will definitely come back!

There was an issue with our booking and I really appreciated that the mangement were able to help me resolve it and get our table ready for the time I had tried to book for. Our waitress, Sophie, was also very helpful and friendly. I also really appreciate that there are several gluten free options to choose from.
