I bring my mom here every weds as this is the place she likes to come.. since her stroke it was hard finding somewhere she was comfy. I had never been here myself until a month ago but the attention to detail the landlady shows us second to none. Even making sure my mom gets her batter bits with her fish.. I can’t credit this place enough because it really does make my moms night whenever we’re here.. Thank you for making our nights so special Nikki is an absolute boss who goes above and beyond to make sure the night is just right xxx 11/10

I had a fantastic meal here today. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the landlady greeted me warmly. I was served by a member of staff called Leah, who couldn't have been more helpful and polite. Highly recommended.

Cracking local friendly staff, good food and ales 5 stars

Dropped in this pub for a couple of drinks, never been before and was passing by. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and ended up having food. It was brilliant and we would recommend. Nicola and Dave were very accommodating and really did go out of their way, nothing was too much trouble. So refreshing to go to a pub that you are not a "local" in and receive such a warm and friendly welcome. Great work guy and thank you.... We will be back!

Love it here, great food at a reasonable price, good atmosphere kid friendly. The staff are lovely. I've been coming here over 10yrs and never experienced any problems.

Wonderful stop off. Especially if you're a trucker. Space for free overnight parking as long as you frequent the premises for a while. Otherwise it costs ya!! Food is well portioned and well priced. The ladies behind the bar are absolutely brilliant and attentive. If Mia is working she always has a smile and a bit of banter with you. Highly recommended 👌

Myself daughter and granddaughter had a meal there on 23-5-2024. We were very disappointed with our food. The steak was really over cooked. We asked for medium it was more well done. I had chicken bacon club sandwich, in my experience with having this the bread should be toasted. It wasn't and made the sandwich very claggy, not nice at all. The portion of chips that came with the meals were at most 12 chips. We will not be returning.

We were struggling to find a campsite in Nottingham as we needed to see family who were at the City Hospital, I phoned the Limekiln and asked if we could stay in our small motoehome for a couple of nights of which they were happy to accommodate. We arrived Friday evening of which it was the tail ends of a party, the music was cool but soon quietened down. The owner Nicola I think her name was, gave us a warm welcome. There was no charge for the 2 nights but we felt obliged to have a few drinks and eat as there was a nice atmosphere about the place. The pub was a perfect location for us being only 10 minutes away from the hospital by taxi however I think the bus services are pretty good in Nottingham. We had two wonderful nights at the Limekiln who have a large flat carpark, they have a nice beer garden and the food was fantastic. Thank you so much again for accommodating us, I would recommend anyone who's looking for an overnight stop near Nottingham to check this place out.

Had a fantastic late afternoon meal with the kids in the Limekiln. This has to be the best pub in the area for reasonable priced food for the whole family. Delicious! Really well run pub. Nicky, the Landlady, is an absolute diamond. Highly recommended

Ideal from M1 junction 26 only 5 minutes away. Stayed here again with camper, food lovely, staff nice, Nikki & Dave landlords really friendly.

Went for Sunday roast ...it was delicious all fresh home cooked veg and very hot and tasty ..highly recommended for Sunday lunch exccelant value for money with the option to add cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets all I can say is go and try it for yourself you definitely wont be dissapointed

Had a really tasty homecooked roast dinner today - you could tell it was cooked fresh in the pub kitchen. Nice mix of games available too. Shame I live too far up M1 to make it my local!

Absolutely great service…girls are great and Nicky and Dave can’t be more accommodating…totally recommend this…have a dj on, on a Friday and Sunday roasts are all homemade…always a great atmosphere and have free pool on a Thursday

Had a get together with family, most of us had Sunday lunch which was lovely. Staff friendly enjoyable lunch.

The staff at the limekiln was extremely helpful. Right from the reception to the billing, everything went very smoothly. In particular a server named Kashai was immensely patient and took the time to explain everything i was unsure about to me. I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Just wanted to take a moment to compliment the service we received from Kashai this evening. You guys were super busy, the restaurant was at capacity, and she was fantastic! Had Christmas dinner today (2nd Jan) as one of my brothers and his family live down south and they were only able to come up at this time. Three course meal, I had the friend mushrooms that came with a lovely mushroom sauce, Turkey dinner and this punches you in the mouth orangey-lemoney cheesecake which was sooooooooooo NOM, would deffo have this whole meal again. The staff were super lovely and took care of us, I will deffo be returning. Thankyou so much! :)

Attend on Thursday the 14th dec , great atmosphere and the bar staff maya deserve a rise amazing hard working . Only let down was the plating of the meal , the plate was bloodu massive ;other then my meal for one on a plate for 14 people it was amazing 👏

Three of us came in at 1.15pm. We had the lunchtime specials. Hunters Chicken Scampi Gammon. All were a good size for the price. They were really nicely cooked. The staff were very helpful and nice. Two ladies working. Thank you.

Only popped in for a quick drink while kids was at kangaroo. But seemed OK for what I wanted. Just to pass hour on. They was setting up what looked to be a wedding so someone must think the place is great. Service was great. Might pop bk for few hours one day and some food

We were celebrating my friends birthday, staff were friendly and welcoming. The landlady went out of her way to ensure we had an amazing time. Good selection of drinks and prices were reasonable. The place was clean and service was swift.

Quick pitstop with the kids on our way shopping and the service was amazing, very welcoming and friendly. Jo served us and her demeanor with not just us but other customers was fabulous to see! We shall definitely pop in again!

Visited the limekiln on Monday. The bar staff talked me in to having a mixed grill. The meal was lovely. The barmaid Jo was brilliant not just with my self but with all the customers. Was a grate atmosphere.

Pub is a lovely atmosphere, food is nice & staff are so friendly & helpful, specifically Mia always goes the extra mile! 10/10 recommend!

Came here for some food and drinks with my children and the service was amazing. A lady called Mia was very friendly and helpful and was lovely with my children. Fab place in summer as they have outdoor seating. A++++

Great Sunday roasts .. I’ve never had beef quite this tasty anywhere in Nottingham . Reminds me of the Scottish local beef 🥩.. roasties to die for . Friendly staff and friendly locals. Can go solo as there always some one to talk to . Had my dogs birthday party here , it was fantastic …. Staff excelled themselves and took great videos of the group . Despite being rushed of their feet they made the time to make the day memorable for us . Nikki the lady is very welcoming to newcomers … a great friendly local pub with character , well worth a visit 😊

Called in for a quick one while we were passing by. The one thing that spoiled the experience was the amount of people using a lot of bad language. I can't understand why the staff don't tell the customers to tone it down. Good service though from the friendly lady behind the bar.

I think Marstons need to look at pricing, I used to use the Lime kiln, it had a good atmosphere and plenty of custom however after 2 price rises (1 being 50p in one hit) I can't justify visiting anymore and I'm quite sure a lot of other lost customers feel the same. It's a shame, it used to be a good venue. I now use Wetherspoons, great atmosphere, and for example a pint of Stella is £3.17 (mondays). You need to, but won't, adjust your pricing accordingly.

Went for kids Halloween party 🥳 all I cam say is well done to the staff, working so hard from decorating to entertaining kids! What an amazing day all the kids loved it the staff went above and beyond. One thing thr limkilm goes all out on entertainment for families. Food was lush and everyone had blessed day. Everyone is made welcome. Foods lush drinks on bit expensive side but nice drinks.

Went for a family meal today. The food was extremely poor. I had a mixed grill which was of an awful standard, steak was tiny and burnt, sausages were hard and burnt. My son had the same meal and it was of the same standard. My wife had Sunday roast, which was also poor in quality. We were so hungry we ate most of it but it has to be said it was the worst meal we have had for a very long time. My granddaughter was the only one who ate her meal without complaint, but given she’s only four that’s to be expected. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning or be able to recommend to anybody else.

Food took over an hour to come. Food was not what we ordered. Food was lukewarm. Food came at different times. .

What a great evening, finished our dieting program and decided to go for a cheat after work, we ordered two lots of the hand battered cod and chips and the batter was cooked perfectly the service was amazing such a delightful young lad on the bar. We was going to go after dinner but decided to stay for pudding but I’m glad we did now. The rocky road sundae was the perfect finish to a lovely night. I will deffo be coming back here to try something else off the menu… thank you for a lovely evening!
