Such a great spot to get off the high street. Grab lunch, breakfast, coffee and home made cake (and ice cream).I love that it’s owner run and not a chain or an investment business. Sit and eat and let your kids have fun, or enjoy the sounds of the other kids living it up! Dogs are welcome too. (Even big old Dalmatians !)

fantastic cafe in Banstead park. lovely homemade cakes. super family friendly. come here often with my son and friends. Only one negative - please cover up the cupcakes at the till - not hygienic to be left uncovered with flies, people coughing etc

Came here with my friend and her child for a lunchtime catch up. She suggested Pistachios as it meant her child could go off an play while we chatted. The cafe itself is fairly large and decorated with bright colours with a counter for ordering food at. Tables were closely packed in which meant that you felt that you were sat on your neighbour, and if they had kids, it felt like they were at your table too. Kids were wandering around everywhere and toys strewn all over, which didn't look particularly clean. Was all too intrusive for my liking. Food was OK - ordered pancakes but they were nothing special, but they were cheap. Service was a bit distant too. You order your food at the counter and pay, its then brought out. Other than that there is little interaction with staff. I am sure that this would be a great place if you are meeting with a group of young kids. If you don't have kids you probably want to go elsewhere.

I’ve been going for some time and feel it’s the hidden gem of Banstead. The staff are more friendly than many whilst still maintaining a professional and engaging manner with the kids. Food great and music catered for the greater good of those sat there. Definitely a must visit venue. Don’t miss out.

What a shame that this wonderful location was let down by the filthy soft play and boxes of broken toys. The soft toys looked as they were never washed and children were eating cookies in the soft play area. Big disappointment as the rest of the cafe was really nice and the staff friendly.

Great soft play for toddlers. Should have a age limit on it as older children became quite disruptive but can’t blame staff for that! Food delicious although not cheap for what it was. Looked like a great kids park outside for warmer days. Will certainly return. Staff were friendly as expected.

Cheese on toast for a child consisted of one slice of bread and minimal cheese st a cost of £3.10 , pretty hefty profit on a loaf of bread!! I am quite happy to pay whatever price for good food, but I feel this was totally overpriced.

Nice little cafe with friendly staff, an impressive selection of food and a small soft play area. Adjacent to a well kitted out children's park too. Often visit and only real problem is when it gets really busy. Never had a bad snack/meal in a few years of visiting and I do like their coffee!

I attended with 4 generations of my family and was so impressed with how friendly and caring the lady working there was. The food was great (I had a BLT followed by a chocolate and banana crepe), the children enjoyed the soft play and my Granny enjoyed her cup of tea. Fun for all the family!

Since this has been taken over the offering has been improved tenfold. The soft play area is a great touch and nice to get a little peace and quiet. The food is considerably better than the incumbent management.

I regularly take my elderly mother for lunch here and I'm always impressed by how friendly and efficient all the staff are. Even when the place is packed, mainly with mothers and small children, they do a great job. Best baked potatoes in Banstead (we've tried them all) and one day I'll try the pizzas which look terrific! Ideal for a light lunch in the park. Thanks guys

Really disappointed with our experience today. It was such a lovely day we thought we'd take the kids to the park and have some lunch. When we turned up it was busy and it was obvious the staff were struggling to cope.Placed our order and sat outside.the food took about half hour to arrive,3 jacket spuds and 2 pizza.1 of the jackets was wrong but was told that was the last one so it was pretty much there's nothing they could do...Then we were only given forks so had to queue again for a knife,by the time I got it the potato was near enough cold, the cheese was hard and looked like plastic,my daughter refused to eat it.All the tables had leftover plates on and no staff clearing.after we had eaten our plates were just left there for at least an hour attracting wasps and birds. Not all negative, the ice creams were beautiful and well enjoyed.Hopefully we just came on a bad day as has the potential to be nice but they obviously can't cope on a busy sunny day

Popped into Pistachios for a pot of tea whilst out walking with friends one Sunday. Service not too bad despite 12 of us ordering and paying separately. No problem with the crockery and cutlery, all clean. Café and loos clean too.The weather was a bit cold and damp when we visited so the café was rather quiet. I'd imagine it would be extremely busy on a warm sunny day.

Previously visited on numerous occasions and wrote about before, however its nice to see such a place continuing to be popular. Visited in the summer holidays on an overcast day and still the place and playground were busy. Queuing time reasonable and the coffee as nice as before - proper filter coffee made there and then and for only £2.30 for a large one, better value than your Costas and Neros!!!! Again the option is to sit inside or out, choosing outside, I made myself comfortable on a freshly cleaned and cleared bench and watched the children run riot in the secured playground. Although Pistachios are not responsible for the playground (that falls upon the council) it is apparent that if they were not there, the playground would not get as much use as it does. The facilities within Pistachios are as clean as before, no issues there at all and very handy for all those children and toddlers, else it would be poor old Waitrose next door that would suffer!! Noting the comments about the food prices, yes they can be expensive, depending on what you order - if you are looking at ice creams and drinks then fair enough, anything else would be dearer and you DO get what you pay for here!! Parking can be a pain as it does get very busy with both the users of the cricket club further up and people visiting the high street - keep an eye out for the traffic wardens / community enforcement people, as if you are on a yellow line during the day then you will get a ticket - simples!! All the better to walk to the park, let the children run riot, have an ice cream, walk home and then there's several hours wasted in a pleasant way - then the little ones will drop either on the way home or on arriving at home, well tired out and deserving of a nap!!

Walked in and ordered two overpriced sandwiches, crisps and ice creams for the kids. When they came out I was asked to either get rid of the Costa cup I was holding or put it in a plain cup. I was pretty put out as I had purchased a lot of food over the course of the afternoon. I won't visit the cafe again as the coffee is horrible and the prices a rip off.

Have visited this park on many occasions, mainly after school if a nice day and at least once a weekend during a month. This café provides something for everyone, a coffee and cookie to munch whilst watching the kids run riot in the play area (good for all ages). Clean toilets and baby change facilities. For those with an appetite, there is a superb selection of snacks from baked spuds to grilled sandwiches (I forget the Italian name for them) but the ones that are pressed in a machine! Decent coffee is served, the usual choices from normal to latte and so on - with all the additional flavours as necessary. For the kids there are cookies (sneakily decorated with smarties so therefore an instant "can I have one of those"). There is a selection of cakes and ice creams, for those who like a tea and cake in the afternoon. Seating is provided both inside and outside (weather depending or how brave you are)! Parasols are available to cover those delicate areas of skin as necessary and I do believe I've seen some of those wonderful environmentally unfriendly patio heaters, but have to check next time I'm there. Customers are varied, from overburdened dads reading the paper whilst mums chat, to the relaxed generation who just want to watch the world go by. Older children have the choice of tennis courts or to cycle around the paths - but most sit on the grass stuck to their social media communications devices!!! An all round success, that's why this place has so much repeat business!

It has been a while since I've visited this little cafe despite being a local resident and given the tired-looking & grubby decor, I doubt I will be returning anytime soon, more's the pity. Please give the cafe a decent lick of paint. I know the footfall is high, especially in the summer holidays, but some money needs to be invested to refurbish and clean this establishment, so that your customers remain loyal.

Having fully researched the area for our overnight stay to connecting flights this is my honest review: Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely softly spoken gentleman who showed us to our room and explained WiFi, separate bathroom facilities and check out procedures. We then had dinner in the establishment which was amazing, hot and fresh! Really please with our meal and the attentiveness of the staff! For the price this is a decent overnight stay for our flight. Highly recommended and will use again!
