We went there for fish and chips the chips were lovely, but there were posters advertising for allergens and intolerance but when speaking to a member of staff in regards to coeliac friendly, although they couldnt offer us any gf fish they reassured us the chips would be cooked separately. Once the order came there were noticeable bits of batter mixed in with the chips.

Decided to watch the sunset on the beach and stumbled across this restaurant. What a lovely man the owner is, he had just decided to close but cooked our order from fresh. We enjoyed the scampi. 2 saveloys, chicken and mushroom pie and large chips. All cooked to perfection and piping hot. We will be returning and spreading the word

we arrived around 12:15, not long after they opened. We were greeted by a lovely friendly gentleman who took our order and explained there would be a short wait as they had just opened. We ordered sausages and chips and scampi and chips The food was served, good portion sizes, hot food and nice atmosphere. The best fish and chip food i have had in a very long time, no soggy chips, beautiful scampi and delicious sausages.

Called into this chip shop prior to visiting White Rock Theatre. We only wanted a bag of chips each, to eat outside, while we were waiting to go into the show. We were served by a lovely, friendly man who presented us with two bags of steaming, golden chips. They looked delicious! We stood outside, overlooking the seafront and, whether it was a mixture of the sea air, the thought of our week's holiday just beginning or just the amazing chips themselves but they were the best 'meal' we had all week. :D Lovely, crunchy, salty chips, that stayed hot to the bottom of the bag. How I wish we had good chippies like this where we live! Just perfect!

This was the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The medium cod and chips at £12.65 was over priced for a kids meal sized portion. The chips were crispy but in general lacked potato. Not sure when the oil was last changed but they left a lot on the fish and the chips and the taste lingered long in to the evening. Save yourself a lot of heartburn and avoid.

If your visiting a seaside town like Hastings, it is just proper to try the local Fish and Chips in the area. Pier Catch is conveniently located infront of Hasting Pier. We ordered 3 Large Cod,1 medium Cod, 2 chicken burgers and chips. Everything were cooked fresh infront of me. Unlike most chips served in fish n chips, which are too big and soggy, they made them just right, you can really tell they were hand cut bec of the uneven sizes but that actually worked. You get crunchy bits of perfectly cooked chips. The fish batter were light and crunchy while the fish taste fresh. The owner and staff were really friendly and accommodating. The price is a bit pricey but what do you expect for a seaside restaurant. One thing that was a bit off also was the price of the dipping sauce. I don't mind paying extra but 50p for 1 pocket of ketchup is just too much but other than that the food, service and cleanliness was 👍.

Decided to visit after seeing the good reviews online but sadly the food was mostly inedible. The fish itself was light and flavoursome but the batter had a strong bitter flavour (possibly bad oil?). The chips were a similar flavour and very hard/undercooked. The people who had visited ahead of us had left several plates of half eaten food (mainly chips) on the table. The person who served us replied in single word answers and when asked about dish sizes seemed confused and annoyed. All in all a wasted £50 on what was supposed to be an enjoyable family meal. Very disappointed.

I ordered a delivery for a blustery Tuesday afternoon , now like any good sausage fan I was excited to see that they only use Korkers sausages … and this swayed my decision to use them and not our usual and trusted chippy However to my disappointment it was very clear they do not use Korkers and have just opted for just a cheap run of the mill sausage ! Chips were average however possible hand cut so positive for that , Please review your menu as advertised on delivery partners website as this is also a failing on your Natasha’s law responsibility as you are clearly not using Korkers as advertised

Terrible service. Waited 50 minutes for 3 portions of chips! Think the guy serving was seriously hungover and got shorty when my husband questioned how long it was taking.

Cool and clean little place opposite the beach Take out available and packaged nicely to be taken on the beach and eat there… The batter was light and crispy The chips were just right! Pretty decent portion Nice and quick service as well as reasonably priced Beware of the seagulls… these are no joke, they will smell your food from miles away and come keep You company 😂

The fish was fine, sausage average but we were served the worst chips we’d ever had. Blackish, oil tasted funny and looked like they’d been in the fryer since the day before , awful. On complaining the waitress shrugged her shoulders and carried on! We were not offered money off, in fact they tried to overcharge us. Needless to say we won’t be going back!

Came here for lunch with my partner and our two youngest (aged 12 and 14) a couple of days ago. The restaurant was clean and staff pleasant. Two of us had cheeseburger with chips (£6.90) and two of us had the chicken burger with chips (£7.90). Food was tasty and excellent chips! Great value for money.

Walked in yesterday to order some takeaway fish and chips for my family to eat on the beach. Stood at the counter for a couple of minutes whilst the three blokes behind the counter ignored me and turned their backs to me. I decided to leave. Really weird experience. I won't be going back. Plenty of *good* fish and chip shops in Hastings!

After walking for ages along the seafront in search of a Fish & Chip place, we were delighted that this was the first place we found. The chips were gorgeous, great thickness, evidently handcut.; I also had a jacket potato (which came with chips too, double carbs) which was also beautiful and covered in a good amount of cheese. I’m very glad we kept on walking and found this place, I very enjoyed my double carb meal, my parents enjoyed their cod, and we’d definitely come back. The only thing we would change, is that we weren’t given glasses with our drinks, but we did love the fact that there was Onion Vinegar on the table. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Staff faffed about didn't seem to know what he was doing. Paid near £30 for family takeaway got back to apartment to find food missing. Food had been cooked as saw staff put on salt and vinegar after asking us if we wanted it! Returned within 10 minutes at 6pm only to find restaurant locked and shut and all lights out. Returned again 6.30pm still locked. Restaurant supposed to close at 10pm. No note on door or explanation. Would had thought staff expected customer to return to pick up missing meal and not not shut up shop. Very poor service. Messed up family meal and out of pocket. Not a happy customer. ☹

Lovely staff lovely food. This is such a lovely place. We had small cod and chips and vegetarian burger and chips. Chips were home made. Fish was not greasy and tasted very fresh. My daughter said the burger was lovely. Man who served us was very friendly and attentive

Came across Pier Catch today. Had the most delicious cod and chips. Cafe clean, staff friendly and food wonderful. What more could you want?

Having walked up and down Hastings seafront the 4 of us opted to come back for food at the Pier Catch. We were not disappointed. Food was freshly cooked and tasty. The prices were good and extremely competitive with other local outlets.
