I love this little place on the seafront. A Warm welcome come rain or shine. I use this place as much as possible even if it is just to stop off for a latte lol. The food is delicious and at great prices too. Nice meal deals as well. Keep up the good work Darren.

Had two picnic boxes from here yesterday with cheese and pickle sandwiches and some free extras too! Freshly made to order, and a quirky different option to the usual seafront fish and chips. This place will be really popular in the summer with people wanting something posh to eat on the beach! Incredibly friendly service from the owner - heard his exciting plans for the outlet over the coming months! Good luck, and we will certainly be back!

We popped here for a spot of breakfast whilst on a family day trip to Hastings. What do I like most about Picnic? Aside from their breakfast sandwiches and burgers, they serve picnics! Cheese, meat, Mexican, vegetarian, Vegan and gluten free (perfect for my niece who has coeliac disease) This place stands out from most here in Hastings and offers a variety of food options that alot of other places do not. Perfect if you fancy something other than fish and chips. High recommended

Ate here today with the family.... New owner whom I met today. Darren thanks for being so nice! I had the American Picnic. Delish! They had vegan options as well, if you're into that sort of thing (I'm not... Give me the meat!)

This is a gem of a spot, the owner and staff really know their food and drink, they use the very best ingredients and both food and drink is locally sourced wherever possible. The whole dining experience is first class, the atmosphere is relaxing and unhurried, then as an added bonus there is a great view of the sea, I thoroughly recommend.

Visited St Clement's for a significant birthday dinner. The restaurant had a lovely old-fashioned ambience and just for a change, the music was tasteful and played at an acceptable, low volume . The service was first-rate throughout. I started with moules, which were excellent and came with a lemon-infused à la crème sauce, which was divine. That was followed by pan-fried halibut, with a risotto and whilst the halibut was cooked to perfection, I wasn't overly-impressed by the risotto. I explained to the maître d, that I was pretty exacting when it came to risotto, having been trained how to make it, in Venice, so perhaps I expected too much. The above was washed-down with an excellent Touraine Sauvignon blanc. I considered having a dessert, but found the menu lacking in classics, such as tarte au citron and traditional crème brûlée (they had one with rhubarb!), so I passed. The meal wasn't cheap, but was reasonably priced and I would happily return to St Clement's.
