Located on the main road with outside seating having a coffee here is great. Cakes looked amazing and very expensive but the ones I purchased were not the best I’ve tasted….. my tart was dry and my friend didn’t enjoy hers either. Coffee washed them down nicely though.

Food ok, but really small portions.. mini quiche with handful of crisps and salad garnish. Service was ok but not friendly. Biggest issue was the bill. £2.20 for a hot water with a slice of lemon. £2.35 for a glass of mill. I queried the bill but was told it wasn't a mistake "the owner sets them". Very short sighted by the owner. Staff member was not phased by my saying I would be writing a review, or that our family of 4 would not be coming back. Clearly this is a regular thing that doesn't phase them. Shame.

20 mins for a takeaway sandwich which was crap! The frankfort baguette was two tiny hot dog sandwiches trying to reach the ends of the baguette, with cheese on top. Dissapointing.

Ordered a take away which one baguette was wrong (It was a struggle to order in the first place) I rang to say the order was wrong & I was told on the phone by a lovely guy 'Sorry for the mistake, I will get one ready if you can come in 5' I then drove back in my work time to be fronted by 2 members of staff including the rudest manager who I have ever met in my life. They then went on to accuse me of lying & demanded that I never ordered the sandwich & that I return the wrong baguette god knows what for ( I hope not to serve other customers), after a few minutes of battling with them for the correct baguette I was finally given the right order. All I have to say is that they have lost 10 returning customers from this appalling behaviour.

So, it feels the passion is non existent here. You order for example - sandwich - orange juice - cake - coffee You ask them to serve the sandwich and juice before the cake and coffee. They just don’t get it, as the cake turns up on the table with the coffee, snd the wait for a basic cold sandwich takes an age! Then the place is not so busy and you cannot get the attention of the staff. can the staff be taught to keep alert looking at customers ? Don’t bother ordering the over priced canned orange juice, it has very cheap taste.

I'm a frequent visitor to this excellent cafe for a coffee and a pastry, and have no complaints. But I always go up to the counter and place my order. The cafe says it offers table service, but I've noticed people sit down and wait for service and be completely blanked. I advised the person to go up and order. But that's not the point - they need to sort it out - either serve people who are sitting at a table, or scrap the idea and make it clear to all customers that you need to go to the counter to order

I like this place, because I can order a cafe au lait and croissant and sit outside (in good weather) and almost think I'm in France. it seems quite authentic (even down to the staff being generally Ok but occasionally a bit indifferent!). If it bothers you (not me) the demographic is quite mature, it's not a hip and trendy coffee venue (with which Wilmslow seems particularly over-endowed)

Having taken 3 children with us today for a snack, the service and cost was laughable, £53 for totally mundane food and service that any of the children on the table all under the age of 9 could have performed better. 3 children sat for nearly 30 mins waiting for a sandwich while 2 adults ate and average French Onion soup, after an hour we had to clear the table ourself onto an empty table next to us. The biggest laugh was when we complained and was told the waiter was on his first day of service, perhaps you should actually train your staff to do a decent job and stop blaming your incompetence as management. Never again will i grace your establishment....

Food came and the bread was awful . Such a shame the French bread is normally the best there . The waiter was very rude to us when we asked him to clean the table . 5 members of staff were working there and it wasn’t busy but all the tables were full of dirty plates . The cappuccino was like a latte too much milk, sent it back they did apologise . Just not good enough with costa over the road and Starbucks next door . Over several years we have visited PD usually for breakfast and have invariably enjoyed our time there. However over the past couple of years the number of the unholy trinity that have increasingly filled PD has convinced us that reluctantly, we will need to find a new venue. The seating in PD has always been shall we say intimate with more tables and chairs crammed in than was truly comfortable but somehow that has always seemed to add to the atmosphere of a busy “Parisian” cafe. Now however the likelihood is that the three or four larger tables will be cluttered up with the obligatory child’s transportation whilst the child will occupy another space with its high chair. But worse still is having to stare at the back passage of one of many dogs who’s owners and the management seem happy to have cluttering up the floor space in the already tight passages between the tables. Dogs in a food establishment !!!!!. But the absolute kiss of Death for PD is that in the mild weather when once it was nice to sit outside even this pleasure is denied the normal clientele with the littering of the area by Lycra clad loonies and there bikes. As my wife remarked “you can only stand so much man-spreading and testicular self examination”. So, rant over and rest assured we will not return.

Very disappointed with my visit to Petit Delice today. I decided to sit outside as it was a nice day and I had my dog with me, was waiting for at least 10 minutes for the waitress to appear, was then ignored and had to ask for a menu as she was causally walking off back inside with even acknowledging my existence. Logically thinking that she would come back out again within 5 minutes to take my order, I then proceeded to wait at least another 15 minutes until I finally gave up and went in to ask if I could order. Finally got my order in and asked for ketchup which never arrived. Every time I have visited Petit device over the years (different waitresses/waiters) consistently bad service. You're probably thinking why does this person keep going back then?...well I think this is the last time!

Didn’t get past the menu reading stage I’m afraid. Our menu was dirty, splattered with food, coffee stained and covered in mucky fingerprints. When I asked for a clean one, the waitress told me that they were all like that. They could do nothing about it, people kept dropping them on the floor, she lamented. She rifled through a sheaf of other dirty menus and did not provide us with another. We left. Pronto. If they cannot remedy the dirty menu problem, if they can run a cafe with dirty menus, what does that say about what might be happening behind the scenes?

We have been coming here for several years, nearly always on a Sunday lunchtime. The cafe is well-sited as it faces south, and is set back from the main road which makes sitting outside on fine days an attractive option. The food is always good and good value and the coffee is great (but see below). However the service is hit and miss at best and can be ridiculously slow - even grabbing a passing waite will not guarantee you quick delivery of your order. A wait of a few minutes at a very busy time (and the rush doesn't last very long) might be OK but I've got fed up with ordering decaffeinated coffee and then realizing at 2 am the following morning that I got full strength.

We waited 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. It was lunchtime so quite busy. We were still waiting for our drinks and baguette when a waitress came and said management say if the dog doesn't stop barking you will have to sit outside. The dog wasn't barking it was just responding to customers showing her some attention. She isn't even a dog that barks much because she is old.We just cancelled our order and left in disgust that they would make a baby sit outside on a cold wet day. I think management would be advised to focus some attention on the cleanliness of the cafe which is dirty. Sorry to say we will not be going back.

We like to sit outside, but sometimes after it's been raining this isn't a great idea, the seats hold water and the canopy drips on you. So unless it's quite sunny you're better off inside :) Food and drink are really very good. They have a good selection of tasty treats for afters too which you can take away for later if you want.Service isn't always the fastest, but then again what's the rush, you're here to relax aren't you? This could be a bit annoying if you haven't even got your drink yet, but on the whole they're pretty good, a quick wave and someone comes over.It just feels how it should I suppose.Wheelchair access to indoors may be difficult but outdoor seating shouldn't be an issue.People do bring dogs and eat outside.

I visited Petit Delice last week for some lunch with my partner and we were not disappointed! I have never done a review on trip advisor before but I really felt I had too after visiting here. We sat outside on the terrace area and enjoyed the sunny weather! Petit Delice has lovely, friendly, attentive staff, and amazing food. As soon as we walked in the 1st thing we could smell was freshly baked bread! I ordered the BLT baguette and my boyfriend ordered the chicken mayonnaise and crispy bacon baguette. Service was nice and quick and we had our food in about 10 minutes. I can imagine when they get really busy though that I could take longer, but it's worth the wait. The baguettes were so nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside = perfect. My partner had a large cappuccino and I had a fresh orange juice. The cappuccinos looked fab they looked like little meringues with all the creamy frothy milk on top! We were too full to have any dessert or pastries whilst we were there but we did buy a croissant and a pan au raisin to take home and have later on - they were divine! Especially the croissant, buttery and flaky just how I like them! Before we left I got chatting to a member of staff there who was telling me that the cafe is a family run business which surprised me as I had always assumed it was a franchise of some sorts. However I found this lovely that it's family run and I am always keen to support my locals. I am already looking forward to visiting again.

Food wise this local business cannot be beaten. With franchise coffee shops across the road and next door it might be easy to overlook delice but the quality of food, drink, and service here is simply unbeatable. I have seen a few reviews noting how service here has taken a dip recently. Coming here throughout my entire life I can honestly say that Petit Delice is a place where each member of staff works tirelessly to cultivate a personal relationship with every customer, the management staff make a serious effort to create the most laid back, comfortable atmosphere. With the weather getting better there is nothing more enjoyable than sitting outside delice in the sun chatting eating and drinking. For families, friends, and casual meetings, delice is my favourite hands down. Keep it up guys :)

I am a regular customer of Petit Delice and visit on account of it being a favourite of some family members. The food is usually delicious (I recommend the Salad Des Chèvre) although service can often vary. Staff have, on a number of occasions, been quite rude and acted as though they don't want to be there. Our favourite member of staff (who had our regular order memorised and a constant smile on his face) has recently left. It's quite pricey but we have always been happy to support a local business.

Since 2008 been eating here. Then stopped for a couple of years. Decided to try again last week. My god. What a pile of indigestible scrapping of the most cheapest meats and bread. The breads shrunk , pale white instead of crusty golden brown. The toppings used to ooze out and that first delectable crunch has now been replaced with the sound of dogs barking inside or oap's moaning to " move your chair over ". What's French about this ? It's unwelcoming and seriously the baguettes lack creativity , or any real flavour. This may as well park up outside some industrial park. Not in such a prominent location as wilmslow. How can they get away this???? Cheap products bought from tesco express to serve customers. I could have taken a picture of the manager bringing the produce in. But I don't want to embarrass the poor sod. Shame on the owner who's French. He needs to love what's French again

Really disappointing visit when previously a good experience. 4 staff at least on, about 8 tables occupied, over 10 min wait for drinks, then a lengthy wait for food which when arrived one dish was not what was ordered, so we requested it be changed for what was ordered, no cheese is not a difficult amendment. The table next to us were having similar issues so we chatted about it in a light hearted way when the owner came over and effectively told us off for talking about bad service, the other table explained how rude a member of staff had been, we explained that 2 of us had finished eating and had yet to be served. He came back and rudely told us that we had made out we had not been served because we had changed our mind, no the order was wrong. There was no intent from him to apologise for delay etc, in fact we were told to enjoy the sun and get on with it. Not my idea of even ok service, we paid, left and won't be returning. It is amazing how rude people can be when the customer is actually paying for something.

Lovely day in Wilmslow tables outside this eatery so decided to go in and order a coffee and a cake. Went in to the till area where 6 staff were behind the counter. Waited waited and waited. No one even said we'll be with you I a moment or are you outside we'll come out.... Not a thing!!! One chap looked at my directly twice while he played about with the till which must've been playing up. I've been in here a few times and always said how good the food was and service is fast etc etc etc. Oh how wrong I was and due to several staff members seeing me but not acknowledging a paying customer I felt I had to write this review. To top it all off behind me came a young tall male with a menu in hand and low and behold a waiter came from behind the counter and said to him are you outside can I take your order.... Yip I was litter all one foot away from this guy and had been there minutes a good few before he came in. To the owner get a grip of your staff and teach them about paying customers and the art of NOT IGNORING ONE.

Having heard from friends about this place I thought I would try it out. Often I find myself looking for an afternoon coffee that does not involve sitting in a bland multi-national conglomerate chain. Here I turned to Petit Delice. With this aptly decorated coffee house comes the inviting smell of freshly baked baguettes, ground coffee beans and delightfully colourful pastries. Taking a seat at one of the Parisian style tables, the service was efficient and delivered in a pleasant manner. (I was rather impressed when the waiter actually spoke French and helped me out with the menu)This independent cafe had similar if not cheaper pricing than the large multi-nationals.

A central spot for a coffee. Tables are small and very closely packed together. Chairs are functional, not comfortable. Service is on the slow side, particularly when it comes to the bill. Coffee is fine. There is an outdoor seating area,

The 'specials' on the board where virtually impossible to read, the 'americano' coffee(I say that in quotes because it is the worst coffee I have ever tasted), the food when it came was poor, the bacon, and I like smoked bacon was so bitter I abandoned the whole thing, the tables are so small you struggle to put your stuff on. Overall expensive and not worth it as other places are so much better

We came for our breakfast and as expected we both enjoyed it. Wetherspoons food is always good which is why we keep using them. We both had different breakfasts but both loved them as usual. It's a pleasure to have it made for you. Well done guys, we will be back I'm sure.

The Sunday carvery is great deal for the price if you go other pubs you are paying a lot of money for less. Cheap for a family to go. And have money left be going every Sunday from now on

Charles is amazing, such a gent. Gave great advice to us as we had no clue where to start with our planters. Also, helped take our purchases to the car. I can’t give enough praise for this place.

Parked in what we thought was the free pub car park, received a parking fine for £100 one week later. We arrived when it was pitch black and due to COVID restrictions couldn't leave our table once we were seated. Hence, we didn't have a clue we had to pay to park. The staff didn't mention it to us at any point. Strange considering how many terrible reviews they're getting for the exact same reason? Why oh why.

With all the ambience of a canteen on a cross channel ferry, with so much noise, this is not a pleasant experience. I put shoes on for dinner, but that made me overdressed. Should have put some old trainers on. I live and learn. Add in that the food is really quite pricey for what it is, and it would definitely not be the place I would ever choose to eat. But I am staying in the hotel, and have an early start tomorrow. The hotel is very nice, and I will review separately, but it deserves a PROPER restaurant given the heritage of the place. Main course only for me, as work wont expense a £12 starter on top of a £6.50 pint without moaning, and I am out of this ludicrously loud and echoing ‘school dinner hall’ feeling place as soon as possible! Wish I had room service and not bothered.
