Just the best fish and chips I’ve had in years. No wonder they were so busy but really efficient and friendly and the food was amazing. They should teach the country what fish and chips is supposed to taste like, would have liked it out of newspaper though but then I’m old school.

The first time I had this fish, it was blow-away amazing, like tempura. I can see why it gets top ratings from folks in the area! The second time not so good, still some sticky batter inside. I would definitely try this chippy as it’s really good on a good day! I think I will revisit my other top chippy and weigh things up. The chips here are crispy and perfect.

We always go there, the very best.not greasy and always very fresh .Gorgeous big flakes of fresh cod. We have found nowhere better in Bexhill and Hastings

I don't see why People are moaning about it saying it's Rubbish seriously they must have it In for someone who's got a successful business. Chips cod and the rest of the food is 10/10. It wouldn't help for the locals of Bexhill to cheer up for a change as I see and hear miserable people on and offline.

Peter’s is my go-to place for fish or sausage and chips. The food is so tasty and not greasy like other local chip shops I have tried. I haven’t yet visited the premises as it’s a bit too far for me to walk. I’ve ordered my food from Peter’s via UberEats. The food arrives in good time and nice and hot.

This was a lucky find. We stopped to buy fish and chips to take to the beach. Freshly cooked delicious white fish and succulent chips. The best ever ! We had to wait five minutes for it to be cooked and they offered to bring it to our car parked nearby. Brilliant service, great food and a really well deserved accolade.

We have ordered many times from this Fish Bar and have always been impressed with the food. The fish is always very good with lovely, crispy batter. We've tried other fish and chip shops in Bexhill, but none are as consistently good as Peter's.

Always friendly, always delicious and very fairly priced! We ONLY use this chippy now…and we have tried several since we moved here…highly recommended!

Incredibly rude staff. Fish was not cooked to order so had no idea how long it had been left to stand in the warm rack. The texture of the fish was soft to the point of mushy without any flavour whatsoever. Chips were oily and more like scraps. This was the worst fish and chips meal we've ever tasted and I would not recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Huss and chips what can I say was great as always is staff friendly and cooked fresh why you wait will visit again happy Christmas to all the staff

Food always great but lately staff rude and unwelcoming. Not sure what has happened.... last time we visited my husband was ignored upon arrival so left.

Decent quality chips and cod. The batter was a little too greasy for me, otherwise I would have given a score of 4. Reasonably priced. Tip - if you want a hot drink get it from the cafe a few doors away while waiting for your order.

We ordered a meal tonight and were thoroughly impressed. The portion sizes were massive (we ordered medium) the food was absolutely delicious and my daughter also loved her children’s chicken nuggets, chips and drink. Excellent value for money too. Delivery was on time and the food was very hot. Definitely recommend.

We ordered the Huss paid for it and then got told they didn’t have any in stock so we had to change the order and they forgot part of the order and were late not the first time they have been late with an order

I am being treated to fish and chips in Bexhill-on-Sea. Our favourite is Peter's fish bar, London Road, Bexhill on sea. Hubby went in and ordered, the man said sit in the car and I'll bring it out to you, 5-10 minutes. Right on que, he walked down to our car, and delivered our fish and chips. My large Cod was huge, I have never tasted anything like it, he must have cooked it to order, crispiest, lightest batter, and butter soft flakes of Cod... The chips were so fresh and crispy too.... Wow! Perfect fish and chips, so rare!! We have been here before... But Omg!! Thank you for restoring my faith in an old favourite.

As takeaways go this is excellent. The delivery service through Uber Eats works well. The orders arrive on time and very hot which for fish and chips takes some doing. Good size portions and cannot fault anything

Consistently excellent fish and chips. We’ve tried lots from Hastings down to Bexhill and this is the best. Tasty chips and above all fresh delicious fish. Don’t be put off by the location. Staff are polite and friendly too.

Phoned up order for takeaway, ready on time, well cooked. Coronavirus restrictions well catered for. Good response from staff who were very helpful. Fish well cooked with crispy, golden batter. Lot of fish. Hot and tasty

I rang up and ordered in advance my order to pick up my 3 cod lighted battered with chips . Sorry to say a bit disappointed. A lot of over cooked batter on the fish and not a lot of Cod .. nice chips tho

Wow this place has the best fish and chips around. The cod gave me a semi and the chips made me dribble down my popped collar, tha geeza serving me was polite and tall . Would recommend!

I used to have chips from here years ago when I lived in bexhill as a teenager was always very good. First time having food from there in over a decade and still as good. My husband had haddock and chips he enjoyed it very much especially the fish, medium looked like a large. I had a burger and chips and that was also delicious. Couldn't fault the food or service was very good over all.

Our favourite the children ask for it, polite service and great food, like the chips. Prices are reasonable and smaller portions available, which is a great idea don’t always want extra large.

With several fish and chip shops in Bexhill the quality tends to be good . Peters is convenient to where I live but the food there is very good with the fish being cooked to order and tasty chips .

Stumbled on this fish and chip shop one Monday as all the others in town were shut. It maybe small but is very tasty. The food is cooked to order and there is plenty of it. Would recommend this place for its good prices and tasty fresh food.

Used to go once or twice a month, but not been for a couple of years having moved north and away from the old manor, but pleased to see its still in ownership of the same family.

Have used this chip shop several times- always consistently good- and the portions are generous- medium cod and chips is more like a large portion. Lightly fluffy fish skinless and boneless and crispy batter combined with chunky chips. A taste sensation!

We used this place when we first moved here last year and the burgers were good, but then something changed and they really weren't good any more so we just started going somewhere else around late 2016/ early 2017. Shame as this is the closest one to our house, but found better elsewhere now. I have no complaints about the fish & chips, but since the other half doesn't eat fish, the quality of the burgers became the deciding factor for us.

Como es tradicional británicas, como te puedes imaginar. Creo que sólo ofrecen la pesca del día, porque cuando visitamos acababan de bacalao y eglefino o agarrada y no otros peces. Cod era preciosa maltratada y fritos. Como alguien del continente no estaban acostumbrados a poner vinagre en nuestro pescado de patatas fritas, pero hemos probado. Sabe un poco extraño si no ar a este engordar pero no desagradables.

Siempre educado y eficiente y la comida es preparada a la orden. Venden la típica selección de comida frita y todavía tienen para llevar pobre. Vale la pena su pedido con antelación llamando o estar dispuestos a esperar. Es difícil aparcar y más fuera de la tienda Park pdrivers, parcialmente en la acera.

Great Fish and Chips, the staff are very friendly, busy at the weekends, they have a great menu choice and is reasonably priced. Very clean and pleasant surroundings.

After moving house this fish & chips was the closest one available. And my old favourite was usually closed at this time. Very good Cod and Chips.

We have been using this chippy for a few years now, but only perhaps four or five times a year. I thought it time to give it a review as we like it so much. There is not much to say but it is all good! Generous portions of beautifully cooked fresh fish, cod or haddock in our case, chips freshly cooked and NOT greasy. All seems to be cooked while you wait and the wait is well worth it. I would rate Peter's in my top three take-away fish and chip shops. The other two are in northern West Sussex and Lowestoft, Suffolk!Don't ever change, Peter!

Have used the fish bar a few times a month. The menu is extensive all food freshly prepared and cooked well.The service is great.

It's not unusual to find a queue at Pete's, but it's well worth the wait. Good portions, quality fish, tastefully cooked, reasonably priced. What more could you want?

i use to use this chip shop quiet regularly. when it was owned by the chinese couple (forgotten there names) use to be without doubt the best chippy EVER. the chips use to be the best id ever tasted. however i was dissapointed with my last visit. the chips were awful, savoly was hard and the spring roll tasted horrible and was half the size they use to be!!?? will need to find a new chip shop for my visit home to bexhill. such a shame.

I always use this Fish & Chip Shop as I have over the years found it to be the best in Bexhill On Sea. There is usually somewhere to park close by so it is convenientto use as a take away. Fish is Cooked to Order so the Batter is always Crispy unlike some others in the town.Shop has been Refurbished & is Bright & Clean.Cant say much more except I suggest you Try It for Yourself !Keep up the good work.

Family have been craving English fish and chips since we moved to Florida in the summer and on the day we arrived in Bexhill, this was the first place we visited ! The cod was freshly fried and the serving of chips was massive. We haven't enjoyed a meal do much in ages. Ten days later, on the day we left, we decided to have fish and chips again from here. The man serving, I assume was Peter on 28 December, was a very patient polite man. Yet again the good was delicious. This fish bar was well worth the 9 hour flight !

Was lucky enough to find this chipper on New Years Day. Had a Cod and chips meal to take away. Freshly cooked to order and some of the nicest fish I have had for some time. The batter was crisp and not greasy at all. Great service and really well wrapped. It took me 25 minutes to get back to eat and the food was still warm. I highly recommend.

The fish came in a sensibly-sized portion and tasted delicious. The chips were very flavoursome and not soggy at all.

After visiting a friend in Bexhill, before retring to our B&B, stopped for fish and chips. Great. B e so nice if they were closer to home.

Rip off, it was all soggy and horrible, i would recomend if you go to another fish and chips shop better value for money

Well done choice fish and not greasy chips. Lots of extras and good value. You'll usually be in a queue though, but easy to park nearby or outside so they won't be cold when you get them home.

if you fancy fish and chips , do yourselves a favour and go to peters in town hall square. the best fish and chips in Bexhill with an extensive menu, try the curry spring rolls.

Can order by phone and then collect or queue. Freshly cooked locally sourced fish and chips. Thoroughly recommend.

Chips that had congealed in to one big lump, mushy peas that smelled and tasted like damp socks and soggy fish, really not impressed! Won't be going there again.

This is actually a takeaway serving freshly cooked fish & chips of good quality - not greasy, a pityfish & chip shops in the south don't do there fish in breadcrumbs though !!
