A very pleasant little cafe in the heart of Sandbach with lovely china cups that are used for the tea. The food is very reasonably priced and arrives hot. The only reason I did not score it five was due to the fact it only has one unisex toilet which is ok but I didn’t like using the hand towel, also worth mentioning that it only has six tables and two outside and it is very warm inside due to the internal kitchen.

Looking for a quick lunch in a cosy friendly environment? Then avoid this place at all costs ! Terrible service , tasteless & poor quality food . You’d expect quality locally sourced produce in a small establishment but these were clearly bulk bought cheap ingredients. Will not be returning

This is a very popular place in the centre town of Sandbach. It is very small & quaint as it is a old building. The tables are very close together but I wouldn't let that put you off going. It has a good range of food on the menu & the most delicious cakes which you can see on the counter as you enter the premise. The staff are efficient & give good service. The place is clean the toliet is at the back & there is only one cubicle.

I have been to Peppers in the past and have given it very high ratings, but this was not my experience today. I and my wife were advised by the staff that my order would be taken presently, over half an hour it still had not been taken, on walking still not have been served, I was told by the staff " thank you come again" . Is that adding insult to injury.

We have been several times and each visit has been an absolute joy. Considering the size of the place the menu should have something for everyone. The food has always very well presented and plentiful. We particularly like the fact that the tables have tablecloths on them and the tea is served in China cups and saucers. The gentleman who runs the cafe, I think he might own it always give visitors a welcoming smile. We regard this place more of an olde world tea shop rather than a coffee lounge. Just generally a lovely little place.

The size is not really suitable for children and prams but we managed to fit in and the staff helped. The food was absolutly amazing. I had a chicken caesar bagel. Not only did it taste great but the portions were very generous. I was very upset that I had no more room for a cake as they looked lovely. The price was good for the amount that you get. It came to around £26 for the three of us to eat and a drink each which may seem alot for a sandwich but it was more that your average sandwich. It was a big portion with lovely salad and potato wedges on the side!

After leaving just now I feel I needed to write review about how disappointed I was with the service today. It was really quite bad. I came in and sat down and within seconds I was asked if I want to order, obviously I wasn't ready and asked for some more time however I then felt rushed. I ordered my meal and a drink 5 minutes later. No drink came. The sandwich came. No cheese was on the sandwich which I asked for. I was asked if I wanted mayonnaise which I said no to and then changed my mind and asked for it. When I told them about the cheese I was offered it in a pot. I had to remind them I actually asked for it on the sandwich. They took it back. Then brought it back out. Still no drink.... No mayonnaise which I asked for. Just really a shambles to be honest. I asked someone for my drink and mayo which came about five minutes after. I will say the chef asked how my food was which was nice and the food was good. Shame about the absolute embarrassment of the service. The main annoying part about it is not once have I received an apology. When I paid I assumed incorrectly that I would've been met with an apology but I honestly don't think they realised how bad it was. even upon paying I heard a woman asking where her coffee was and the girl hadnt even made it. So I'm sure this isn't just my opinion. With the new cafe opened in town I really don't think I will bother to come back here.

As I was working from home I got to see this quite a lot. Despite living in Sandbach for many years, I've never been to Peppers before. I had to wait in town for something so my husband and I decided to try Peppers for breakfast. It is a lovely little cafe, we sat at the back in the little 'conservatory' and I think we were the first in this morning. We both ordered the Peppers breakfast and I had a cup of tea. The breakfasts were lovely, cooked to order and piping hot. Another chain establishment across town does big breakfasts, but I always end up leaving things because the food is not that great and never hot enough. But not here, the breakfast was just the right amount for me, tasty and freshly cooked. And I had an excellent pot of tea in a china cup. A really nice start to the day.

The cakes were nice, so no complaints. However, we were absolutely starving, and we only ordered a sandwich. We were told when we ordered that it would be 20 minutes. We were in two minds whether to stay or go elsewhere seeing as we were so hungry but decided to stay. 51 minutes later, the sandwiches arrived! Popped into Peppers for lunch. Lovely hot soup. Nice fresh bread for my ham sandwich which had plenty of ham inside. Good cup of tea and oh go on we had a naughty piece of home made cake - Cranberry and almond served with ice cream. Staff were attentive and well mannered. They had a problem with their card machine so my husband popped over the road to an ATM. The replacement machine arrived as he was out. The delivery man put his dirty box onto one of the tables, delivered the machine and left. One bad thing was that nobody cleaned the table where the box had been. Apart from this hiccough our visit was pleasant and certainly worth a visit. It is only small so don't leave it too late in the day to visit. I would think that the owners Janette and Nicola wished that the Café was twice the size it is but we feel very comfortable and happy with it's present size. Possibly daily Newspapers would be nice but I expect that people would sit there all day if they had current newspapers to read. Yes a nice place to go for a morning out.

I called in today for a take out sandwich. Decided on cheese and tomato on brown, it was the best cheese and tomato sandwich I have ever had. A huge sandwich made with lovely fresh bread stuffed with tasty grated cheese and tomato and wrapped in a foil package and all for £2.75. Will be back for more...........

We were very surprised to see the previous report on this cafe as we found it to be excellent in all respects. The cafe is small, staff friendly and the food is good. We were warned when our order was taken that this could take up to 20 minutes so at least you know what to expect. We had a full breakfast and beans on toast and fresh coffee. The coffee was good , food was good quality and portions of a good size. The was a specials board and to be honest, when I saw a forthcoming order I wished that I had ordered that. The only slightly negative was that the cost was a little on the pricy side but in this case you at least get what you pay for!!!!Unfortunately there is no Wi Fi

I tried this cafe for the first time today. The cafe is smallish, but it is cosy, clean and conveniently located in the town centre. Staff are friendly and the service is prompt. The food is fresh and delicious. The menu selection is good, the portions are generous and value for money is excellent. I will definitely be returning again!

The Yellow Broom is best described as a blend of pure elegance with a splash of sophistication. The setting is undeniably beautiful, complemented by a warm welcome from the staff, who are clearly well-trained in delivering exceptional silver service. The menu offers a well-balanced selection of cuisine, ensuring there's something to delight every palate. The presentation of the dishes was nothing short of exquisite, and the flavors were simply delightful. The staff were remarkably attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant were both appealing and comfortable, enhancing the overall dining experience. The Yellow Broom is a truly first-class establishment that consistently maintains high standards. I highly recommend a visit—you will not be disappointed.

The lady who runs it was welcoming insightful and charming. She gets all her meat from the local butcher which is first class. She was passionate about food and her recommendations dovetailed beautifully. My sister ate the mushrooms on toast, which she gave me to try. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection and the sauce was a perfect blend of flavour and consistency. They were really good, the lady who sat next to us has been coming for years and also recommended them, it was easy to see why. I myself had the brie and bacon ciabatta with chutney. The chutney was cooked in a slightly curried sauce which was lovely. Although I would have liked a slightly sweeter sauce maybe blueberries to cut through the mild salt in the bacon and brie but it was excellent none the less. Three breakfasts and pot's of tea for £14 per person was incredible value. I finally remembered years ago taking my daughter here for her birthday lunch and she kept asking me to take her to the place with the train running overhead, I couldn't remember at the time but she'll be overjoyed to hear I've found it. Fantastico, grazie.
