We had lunch and enjoyed a delicious and well presented meal, served by friendly and attentive staff, in an attractive environment. Great coffee too.

I purchased a solid desk for almost £900 from this company during their sale, which I was excited about despite a one-week delay in delivery. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment upon receiving the product. As I opened the parcel, I noticed a significant defect: most parts of the drawer and back were made from broken reclaimed wood. I contacted the company to express my concerns, explaining that for a £900 product, one expects something of decent quality. Shockingly, their response was dismissive, stating that since the broken wood was underneath, it didn’t matter. This comment is incredibly unprofessional and unethical. How can a company justify sending a product with such defects simply because they are not immediately visible? Their lack of concern and unwillingness to provide a solution disappointed me. They told me the product is “as is” and there’s no room for improvement. This experience has left me with a very poor impression of this company, and I will never shop here again. I strongly advise others to steer clear as well. For a company that charges premium prices, their quality control and customer service are severely lacking. Do not waste your money here.

Close to the station and always good quality cake. Not over busy on a weekday afternoon but we waited at our table for a while before attracting the attention of a waitress. Service can be cold here, depends who you get if I'm honest. Big fruit scones and tea, both excellent. Reasonable price, paid the service charge but largely undeserved.

Lovely service from staff and no long delays. Didn't have to queue for seating having arrived on spec....Pricing reasonable.

My husband and I had lunch again at Arighi Bianchi Café. As always the quality and flavour of the food was very good. The selection of drinks were plentiful. Also I would like to thank Neve, the young lady who was in charge of our table. She was very courteous, efficient and very friendly. Always happy and with a positive attitude at all times. Nice but feel it is not catering for the older generation gone far too modern need to cater for mixed house holds and tastes

We were in the store browsing furniture items which were in the summer sale, and as we have always done in the past, called into the Cafe for an afternoon drink. We didn't recognize it at all, and thought we had come to the wrong place! It used to be a lovely traditional and welcoming environment with a special ambience, whereas now it is cold and sterile with no atmosphere at all. What has happened to the great photographs of iconic film stars such as Sean Connery, Steve McQueen and Audrey Hepburn? Where are the beautiful clocks that used to be hanging on the wall near the entrance? Everything has been stripped bare and gone totally minimalist. They have even got rid of the illuminated cake cabinet, which used to be full of delightful homemade cakes. We have been loyal and longstanding customers, and visiting the Cafe used to be a real treat for us. We loved the outsize teacakes, and Mr. Paul walking around with a fresh jug of filter coffee, topping up everyone's cups with a smile, and asking if everything was alright. The staff were exceptional in that they genuinely cared about the standard of service - where have they all gone? The girl who took our payment at the till did not make eye contact and did not say thank you. Plantation shutters and pink chandeliers do not compensate for bad manners! In the PAST the Cafe was the beating heart of the store. Well, we are very sad to say that heart is no longer beating!

I Ordered King prawn linguine this lunchtime..overcooked slimy spaghetti and 6soggy prawns..no garnish!served in a cereal bowl..terrible value for money..used the restaurant for 15 years..this is the worst meal I've ever been served!!the tuna melt sandwich my husband ordered was also terrible ..hard toast and unappetising.. we shall give the restaurant a miss in the future!!

When I win the euro millions this is where I'll buy all my furniture, carpets and home decor. Luxury furniture and homeware. Prices are well above the usual high street brands but the quality and craftsmanship is felt in every piece they sell. The shop itself is an old silk mill. A four storey building filled with sofas, dining tables, beds, carpets, rugs, home decor, candles, painting etc. You could definitely spend a couple of hours browsing. Cafe was great. Excellent service. Full cooked breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by hubby. And my ploughman's sandwich was tasty and very filling. We also had large chunky chips that were fab. Breakfast until 11.30am. Brunch all day and mains from 11.30am. Free parking available. Staff were pleasant and polite. Great place to get some decor inspiration or to just pop in for something to eat.

Cafe top class food and service

I went to Arighi Bianchi this morning to look at flooring for my hallway. The gentleman that helped us had great knowledge and excellent advice about the different types and what would work best in our home. All the staff we saw were friendly and the shop has a real welcoming feel to it.

Very unimpressed. Past customer returning after 10 years and very disappointed. Purchased from another supplier 45 miles away. Will not be returning in future. You already have my contact details and I have sent them yet again as requested and still no response! I am not interested at all in dealing with Arighi so you may as well delete me from your records if you have not already done so.

First visit for many years. Impressed with store, purchased a chair and two mirrors. Also enjoyed a meal in the restaurant although it is not obvious that it is there?? No details at the entrance or in the lift. Overall an enjoyable visit.

We had our two sofas delivered, one without legs and one with mahogany as shown to the right. I ordered the colour to the left which was oak. This has delayed us using our living room as they don’t know when the right ones will be delivered which is disgusting. I’ve gone to open my other sofa and there’s a big line down the arm.

We visited AB quite recently with photos to show a problem on one of our expensive dining chairs. We were informed that the supplier of the product does not do this range anymore and that the guarantee was only for a year, which is astonishing considering the cost and supposed quality of the items! Why do they deal with suppliers that only have one year guarantee’s on their products!? AB had absolutely no interest in reimbursing us to any degree, which is so very disappointing considering the amount of times we have bought items from them over many years. We will most definitely be doing any future shopping away from this store!

Great range of furniture and well presented Can be difficult to navigate as a bit of a rabbit Warren. Staff are helpful, but difficult to find at times. Parking can be a challenge in a big vehicle.

We were delighted with the service provided by Malcolm Palk on our visit to the store. Great product and an even better service. Malcolm was friendly, efficient and customer focused, demonstrating a great eye for detail, providing good advice. The follow up process was executed as agreed. Highly recommended.

Had lunch with my friend on Wednesday. The menu is very poor. There used to be a lovely salmon and prawn fruit based salad which was delicious but unfortunately that is no longer available. We both had a smoked salmon and cream cheese open sandwich which was ok but no salad, just a bit of rocket. Wasvover priced too. Very disappointing

Ordered a nice rug before Christmas, waited a couple of weeks as hadn't heard anything and when I chased it up the rug was there but no one had informed me. Went to fetch it today it was very big and very heavy ,my husband was just handed it and we had to carry it a long way to the car. Poor customer service it should have been taken to the car for us , especially when paying alot of money

Always a pleasant shopping experience, great staff, competitive prices, wide range and a quirky rabbit warren set up. John Lewis could learn from them.

Plenty of choices just too expensive

So disappointed with the level of customer service and experience we've had with our online purchase. After placing an order for the Indiana dining table and bench (180cm) on 20th November, I emailed on 16th December for an update regarding delivery and was told the current lead time was 14-16 weeks. I'd kept my eye on the price, as well as the estimated timescale for delivery, of the table for a while before purchasing at the beginning of the Black Friday sale, so explained that one of the reasons I ordered was because at the time it was shown to be 3-5 weeks. I was then told that it was probably the bench with the shorter lead time; as if I'd be unable to decipher the difference between a table and bench when viewing on the website. Tina, whom I was emailing with back and forth, apologised and stated that our order would most likely arrive on the next container due just after Christmas. Then, yesterday, I received a call from Tina explaining that the order would actually not be arriving until end of March (more like 18 weeks from the date ordered), which is also not a guaranteed timescale; as the container could well be delayed by something beyond their control. We were given the option to upgrade to the larger size table which would be ready earlier, but this would be at the full retail price and not the discount we got during the sale. She also explained that the person she'd spoken to regarding our order and which container it would arrive on had said he 'doesn't think it was ever on the website' at the 3-5 week timescale I had, clearly, made up and could not argue without a screenshot for proof... We decided to cancel the order and received no apology or any indication that the company valued our custom or the almost £900 we'd be spending with them. I'd have understood if lead times had been extended due to popularity over the Black Friday weekend and the fact that the product is made to order, but what I did not appreciate was being made to feel blamed. We've now wasted an entire month without a dining table and unfortunately felt we had to cancel an item we really did like.

The cafe has been refurbished. It looks like a works canteen now with about as much atmosphere. Will not be going again, such a shame.

Amazing customer service during my visit, nothing was too much for the staff and I felt at ease whilst browsing the beautiful furniture displays! The food in the cafe is of the finest quality, and very reasonably priced.

Cafe Review Two stars because the staff were lovely & the ambiance is good. I used to eat here regularly but left the area so first visit in 7 years - so so disappointed. The menu is no longer “special” the fish cakes were dry & served with frozen chips. My pudding was also very dry. My disappointment reached extreme levels as my companions & I had so been looking forward to the wonderful cakes they used to serve - not anymore, no delicious cakes available (stopped doing them 6 weeks ago) To add insult to injury, l thought the cost was astronomical for what we had. I will never ever frequent this cafe again. Really sorry - I don’t like posting negative reviews but I only get to see my friends in Macclesfield a couple of times a year & we had been looking forward to this.

What the h*ll happened! The place for coffee and cakes for miles and now if you don’t want dessert there are 3 cakes to choose from! What a shame.

Had to return my sandwiches as hardly any filling in it , also the butter my friend had for her toast had mould in it the cafe has certainly changed quality very poor , And all the plastic plants overhead im sure they are dust hoarders , The staff were very friendly and apologetic and made me another sandwich with a bit more filling in it , we went to look at carpets and the staff were so helpful and friendly, will not go in the cafe again would be better value to go elsewhere Very disappointed

We have been dining at Arighi Bianchi cafe for over 25 years, many things have changed during this time, but the standard of produce and cookery have always been maintained. However, we had the breakfast and unfortunately it was not upto the standard expected. Sausages were poor quality and over cooked, fried eggs over cooked and hard, fried tomatoes cold, no black pudding and the toast was 1 piece of hard bread and was cold. Very very disappointing

Such a shame - someone mentioned AB recently, and it reminded our now teenage sons of Christmas 8 years ago when we took them along to the advertised family friendly Christmas event. They were enjoying watching a train going round a table top, and the next minute the girl in the shop silently and stroppily marched over and turned it off, as I presume she wrongly assumed they might get too close. Unpleasant memory created by spiteful staff member - thanks. I did put in a complaint at the time, and was assured this wasn’t acceptable, as well as being offered a drink in café, but sadly this incident put us off returning.

The staff and team were great. Providing good advice and help without being intrusive.

Fantastic furniture shop and cafe.

A really lovely lunch. A really lovely lunch with my sister. We had the Eggs Benedict and Poached eggs on toast with Latte and a glass of wine. The food was so tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Without a doubt the poached eggs were the best I have ever had. We finished by sharing a scone with jam and clotted cream which was absolutely delicious. Homemade and still warm. The cafe is beautiful and the staff were so welcoming and the service was fabulous. Thank you to Bjorn, Grace and Barney for looking after us so well and to the chef for those perfect poached eggs. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

Our first visit back since the reopening of the cafe - as soon as I saw the food I knew the original chef had left. The food was not as good as the usual standard. The cakes on offer were all pastry based, not a fan at all. Please bring back the original cake choices and the original chef if you can.

Genuinely shocking. I have been a frequent visitor to the cafe for 3 years & was looking forward to trying the food after the reopening. We ordered take away, and recieved a co-op meal deal, which is harsh on the co-op. £24.00 for two ‘Honey Roast Ham & Beef Tomato sandwiches & mixed leaf salad & 1 portion of chips’, though in reality it was processed ham, a slice of tomato, on old bread with cheap butter, and no salad was provided because its a ‘take away order’, yet it is the same price & states on the menu ‘served with mixed leaf salad’, despite prior to reopening it was both cheaper, included a salad & the food wasn’t genuinely diabolical. The picture speaks for itself. Chips were well cooked. I welcome a refund.

Don't believe the hype. Over priced and cheaply made.

Not a smile from 3 members of staff. One female showed us to our table. No smile, no good morning...nothing. We gave our order in. One of us had Earl Grey tea, we weren't asked if we wanted milk or lemon. A young chap brought our drinks, again no smile, nothing. We had to ask another female for sugar, again no smile or communication. This is not what I have come to expect from staff at this store over a 40yr period. The staff on the shop floor are always very pleasant and welcoming.

We ordered chilli beef with noodles and Chicken, bacon and avocado salad, both dishes were amazing. Its very rare to get a salad that is so perfectly balanced. Nice crockery and cutlery, exceptionally clean tables, etc, the staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. Can’t fault it! If we lived closer we would certainly visit here on a regular basis, worth the trip for the food alone. We did happened to purchase a beautiful rug too, a very worthwhile trip!

We visited our favourite restaurant for Sunday lunch. It has been closed for refurbishment and possibly has opened a little too soon as unfortunately I could smell paint on arrival. Obviously not quite finished as no art work on the walls and blinds only on half of the windows. The music today was too loud. We know there have been staff changes, the waiting on team were pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed our meals, however my husband’s burger lacked flavour and the gravy on the roast pork lacked its usual flavour - probably red wine! On a more positive note, the addition of a Dessert menu is so much better than having to walk through a Restaurant to look at cakes in a counter! The range and quality of the Desserts had something for every taste. We look forward to visiting again in a few weeks time when hopefully all the changes will be complete!

Great furniture store packed full of quality items. Huge thanks to the lady in the gift shop for her help on both visits on sunday and monday. Many thanks to Leon in the bedroom department for your advice re a new bed for my new place. We managed to order our new bespoke sofa and electric recliner chair with help from Sarah who was very attentive, even when she had other customers asking for advice We are looking forward to our new furniture. Pity we didn't get time to visit the coffee shop for a cup of coffee and one of their amazing cakes. We will be back!@

What a wide range of furniture at all price points beautifully displayed over 4 floors. Plenty of parking and very friendly staff to help you. Delivery of items quick from stock and reasonably priced. 2nd time we have visited and bought 6 chairs and 2 bar stools. Cafe in store but closes around 4pm so we missed the chance to try it out.

Starting to know my way around, which is a little bit concerning. Shows I've been there too often. A veritable rabbit warren of rooms, interconnected at varying levels. The range of furniture ideas is excellent, as is the no pressure service. Only downside is that everything seems to be on a 10-12 week lead time.

Went to the cafe for brunch, had the vegetarian breakfast the plate was huge so I couldn't finish it and my friends salad was also a big portion. I wasn't a fan of the vegetarian sausage but everything else was nice.

Outstanding customer service from the Karndean flooring team. We had an issue with our flooring and they have gone above and beyond to rectify it. We couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

Parking can be a bit of a nightmare but once you get there it has amazing items .ok some might say a bit expensive but what do you want cheap as chips try b&m then.

I purchased a riser/ recliner chair early June 2023. The salesperson, Chris, could not have been more helpful. A good selection of chairs to try and under no pressure to purchase. The chair arrived today and I'm delighted with it. My daughter and I finished our visit with lunch in the cafe. Equally impressive! John Luke.

Went in the cafe. Service was good, quick and friendly. Ordered the special Spicy Turkey Tikka Burger and Sweet potato fries. The burger was a minced Turkey burger and was quite large however it was very plain with only a small amount of lettuce. I think it needed tomato and onion as well and it could have been topped a spicy mayo or a mango chutney. Or served with a flat onion bhaji to make even better. The cake stand was great with a large selection. Had a scone which was huge, the only problem was the jam and cream portion was not big enough to really coat the two halves of the scone. If these little changes can be addressed then would be 5 stars.

High quality of food and service I chose a lovely ciabatta, some of the best Chunky chips I’ve had in a while and a cappuccino Finished off with one of the nicest slices of cake and ice cream

The shop has a huge range for anything you are likely to need from curtains and carpets, through to lighting, furniture both traditional and contemporary, and various ornaments, pictures and mirrors. The restaurant is also worth a visit, but at busy times it is advisable to book in advance

The food is lovely, with imaginative 'Specials' and the cakes are amazing. The service is fast and the staff are so friendly. They are happy to provide substitutions to cater for dietary requirements. This is the best place I know which caters for my family which contains a coeliac (gluten free), a vegetarian and a diabetic, with plenty of choice for them all.

This place never been inside and had a look around the place...only drive pass it...wen in Macclesfield ok...some point will go there to look around the place...

The "Cafe Bar Arighi" has been a restaurant we have visited over may years, often after visiting the furniture store, and also on Sundays for lunch. Food is very important to us, but without the service to go with it, detracts from the whole experience. This place Ticks the Box on Both counts! "Geof the Chef" takes great pride in producing superb food and "Diane" ensures the front of house runs both efficiently, and more importantly, in a friendly manner. A recent visit gave us the opportunity to sample the new Specials. My wife had the Oven Roast Salmon, and I had the Peach, Prosciutto & Mozzarella Salad. Both were excellent. It is very hard to keep exacting standards at all times, but can only say, from our experience, these levels have been maintained whenever we have visited there. Well done to everyone !

Recently moved to the area & was highly recommended. Superb food, reasonably priced , great dining area with very friendly & quick service. & great opportunity to see the stunning furniture store. We went for one of the specials as a share to start which was delicious, followed by Risotto & an epic Burger! Excellent food!

Popped into the cafe to breastfeed my 4 month old. No reservation, I was seated straight away and served immediately. The staff are wonderful including the lovely gentleman on the ground floor who guided me to the lift. I cannot praise the staff enough. Thank you for making it such a lovely experience.
