Pepe's Piri Piri in Tunbridge Wells

In a nutshell: Food: The chicken was tasty with the mild sauce. Fries with piri-piri salt, also not bad -- honestly, better than KFC fries. Ketchup - really poor quality. Even Lidl & Aldi's house brand ketchup is way better. The rice is way over-spiced with chili. The side salad ... well ... it seems that Pepe's has never heard of such a thing as salad dressing. It's just bare lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. They have some 'garlic sauce' for the chicken that can double as salad dressing however We ate in which was okay. At least the place is relatively clean and has the feel of a somewhat acceptable fast food restaurant. All in all, reasonable compared to sit down restaurants. You can get a 1/4 chicken box for £7.69 currently. Add £2.50 for a meal (includes a soft drink and fries.) Did you know that Pepe's is a UK based chain? I didn't either. Now that you know you can try to visit all 192 locations and the two in Dubai.

As a concerned diner, I implore you to steer clear of the culinary catastrophe that is Pepe's in Tunbridge Wells. This establishment is the gastronomical equivalent of a gut-wrenching migraine. Upon entering, the air was thick with an ominous scent that hinted at culinary disasters to come. The decor was akin to a dilapidated roadside diner, with unappetizing mismatched furniture and grimy walls. We eagerly placed our orders, hoping for a respite from the bleak ambiance. However, our hopes were swiftly dashed. The rice box, arrived soggy and undercooked, with a sauce that tasted like it had been scraped from the bottom of a rubbish bin. The chicken was equally abysmal. The sauce was watery and bland, and the meat had the texture of overcooked rubber bands. As we forced down each nauseating bite, our stomachs began to protest violently. To our horror, my own digestive system betrayed me mere hours after our departure. The resulting abdominal distress rendered me incapacitated, forcing me to cancel all my evening plans and spend the night clutching my stomach in agony. Upon informing the restaurant of my ordeal, I was met with a curt dismissal. The manager informed me that it was 'impossible' for my malady to be caused by their food. Evidently, they hold their burnt offerings in higher esteem than the well-being of their customers. In conclusion, Pepe's in Tunbridge Wells is a blight upon the restaurant industry. Avoid it at all costs if you value your digestive system and your sanity.

Amazing figure licking healthy food. Visited with family and friends. Very good hygiene and tasty food. Kids loved the variety of 6 flavours.. I am looking forward to visit them again next week.

The food was wonderful and personally tasted better than chicken shops I have been to in the past. Would I rate it higher than KFC? absolutely not, however I am prepared to say it was of a similar standard to that of the colonels famous recipe. The staff were lovely and helpful with finding us the sauces which we wanted, in particular Yusuf who commented on my hair and said he wished I was single so that he could make sweet, sweet love to me which I took as a compliment. I'm sure he merely meant this in jest.
