Peloton Espresso in Oxford

Great coffee. Nice people. Fantastic music. I simply couldn't ask for more from an independent coffee shop. Highly recommended! Thanks guys for a good coffee experience!

It’s amazing that a cafe named after a group of cyclists is so unwelcoming to cyclists. After the third rude comment by a member of staff, we left before ordering. It’s a real shame that poor staff can ruin an otherwise usually great cafe. Won’t be back for some time.

Manager is very personal and unwanted comments. Thinks too much of himself and I found his mannerism personal and patronising. Won't go back even though I get discount.

I've been coming here regularly for nearly 4 years and due to having a fondness for Peloton, have held back on writing this review. First the coffee and cakes in this cafe are fantastic and for Oxford, the pricing is remarkably decent. One of the really nice things about Peloton is you don't feel rushed/ pressured to keep buying if you're working with a laptop, and the wifi is great. Unfortunately, I am getting sick of the patronising service I experience almost every time I visit here. There is a particular young and I believe female-identifying member of staff with a very high pitched voice, who is consistently condescending and dismissive. I went to move a table slightly to give my legs more room (I am on the taller side) and was admonished and told to move it back. I was shocked at this because I wasn't in anyone's way and cafe was nearly empty- so this seemed odd, and was quite embarrassing. On another occasion, having watched another member of staff and another customers stretch out on the sofa, I extended my legs when I was sat in the same seat and was rudely told to take my legs down in front of other customers. It seems, if this barista likes you- she is friendly. However, if she doesn't like you, even if you are consistently polite, and a regular customer she will be rude to you and will patronise you. I say this as someone who is similarly aged to her. On another occasion this same member of staff was shouting excessively loudly near myself and another customer (both working), so we both separately put headphones in to cover the noise, which she noticed and laughed at. The other customer also mentioned this barista was rude to him also, and he couldn't understand why either. I'm giving a harsher rating than this cafe deserves (given the lovely coffee & cakes), in the hope it gets noticed and this person may become aware of how they make their customers feel. The rest of the staff are friendly and always lovely to chat to. But unfortunately these weird interactions are cumulatively off putting, even for a loyal customer.

Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere. This is a lovely place to meet friends for coffee and don’t forget they have a back garden.

So yes there can be few circumstances more propitious for enjoying a cup of coffee than when you've got up from 5 and been in Oxford for May Day Dawn. But I have to say this little cafe was a fabulous Oasis with charming barista who chatted about the type of Colombian coffee they were serving and the tendency for when people say they don't want any chocolate sprinkling for people still to put it on anyway just because they heard the word chocolate. And yes the coffee was excellent. Highly recommended not least because there wasn't one of the queues you get on the high street where you pay twice as much and probably get chocolate sprinkles whether you ask for them or not... Stumbled across this place on our walk in Oxford. Very cute, cyclist focused. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. We just went in to grab a coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte and my partner ordered a normal latte but the reason I’m giving a 4* is because the vanilla latte was too overpowering (way too much syrup) I had to throw it away, however the normal latte was lovely.

Peloton's garden has been a wonderful refuge this Covid summer. The coffee is great, the staff lovely, and the regulars great company. It's a pleasure to hear Ray Charles' What'd I Say playing inside and the staff unabashedly bringing out why this is such a tribute to the act of love.

Great coffee, friendly staff, super yummy banana bread and fantastic music. Sadly it’s one of the only nice places to get coffee on Cowley Road which is now overrun by barbers and kebab shops.

If I have an empty slot in my morning agenda I will try to pop in to Peloton, the cool mad-about-coffee spot in Cowley. The happy dancing team is amazing. And defo that's the place to dance- have you heard the tunes they play? But if that suggests that it's all in the atmosphere you are wrong! They will carefully work on the craft we all come in there for and produce one of the best cups in Ox

The friendly staff at Peloton Espresso always serve an excellent tasting brew , and the cafe is is usually pretty full despite many other outlets on Cowley Road. I should put in a word for the quality of the tea too, really good and refreshing . Well worth a visit for a reasonably priced above average beverage.

Excellent service, forgetful at times but forgiven because exquisite music and personalities. Best coffee I’ve had in oxford and I’m from New Zealand. I’m also a barista. And I work here. Sometimes if you ask the staff will break out into dance (dirty dancing vibes, lift included). Outdoor area is great. Terrace and all. Eats are simple and great for light bites.

If you are Aussie looking for GREAT COFFEE. peloton Oxford. The place is buzzing. The Coffee is awesome.

We were walking from the Mini Factory to Oxford and decided to stop for coffee at this place. It has a funky decor and very friendly staff. We had the first great cup of coffee since arriving in Oxford. Hurray!

I have been coming to this cafe for way to long this is a seriously overdue review. The fact I have been coming here frequently so often is a testament is it’s self. The boys n girls here are all very lay back, to the point were I’m running late to work and am over stressed with work, I simple get my morning coffee and feel that the rest of the day is going to go down as smoothly as my coffee did! Friendly, cheerful bunch who I’m fairly confident know half of Oxford. Coffee, this little dream house has nailed their coffee and I haven been known to be a bit anal about coffee. If you are new to coffee these lovely lot can talk you through it or walk you through a wonder-land tour of coffee from South America to Scandinavia; from the Inuits to the Indonesians. Maybe a tea? If not coffee crazy, they have an array of teas to suit anyone’s needs, all loose and easy, hot or cold, your call but I’d recommend having one with one of the cakes or pastries. A tap of the back is deserved to these guys, all too often is trip advisor used negatively, this play doesn’t care, they get enough compliments from their customers promoting it through word of mouth, don’t believe me? Just go in and see

Solo pasaba por este lugar y mi hijo de 3 años necesitaba urgentemente el inodoro. Entré y le pregunté al barista si mi hijo podía usar rápidamente su inodoro. El barista primero me preguntó si planeaba comprar algo. Cuando dije que no, el barista hizo una mueca graciosa, pero finalmente nos dejó usar su inodoro. Al salir, decidí comprar un café solo porque sentía que les debía algo de dinero. El café, tengo que decir que fue el mejor que he probado, pero también el más caro: 2. 80 para un capuchino pequeño. Lamentablemente me decepcionó el servicio.

I was staying off Cowley Road and looking for a coffee when I discovered Peloton. Delicious latte and friendly staff. A few nice food items as well. Highly recommend if you are nearby!

Peloton es una cafetería temática de ciclismo donde ciclistas serios con bicicletas caras son muy bienvenidos; Puedes traer tu ciclo y estacionarlo dentro. La decoración es sencilla pero cómoda, como las sillas. El personal es muy amigable y es fácil entablar una conversación con ellos, ¡parecen realmente interesados! Hay un ambiente fresco, y la mayoría de los clientes son jóvenes, tal vez estudiantes, pero como persona mayor me sentí muy bien acogido. Tenía un blanco plano que era suave y chocolate con un poco de amargura, casi perfecto. También tienen bocadillos como palta tostada rota (sí, la mejor comida inconformista). Tienen wifi, y podrías trabajar o estudiar aquí cómodamente. Gran lugar

Quite basic decor but nice filter coffee, reasonable prices, a small but nice looking car collection. Really reasonable breakfast options. Definitely recommend. Wifi. Outdoor seating

I am surprised there are not more ratings!? It’s a really comfy small place. Very good coffee and don’t get me started on the banana bread!
