Cute cafe in the neighborhood. There is delicious bread and coffee. Wi-Fi doesn't work well when many people connect. There is a restroom.

Chill, nice place to drink tea and read a book or catch up emails.

I went to grab two teas for takeaway and I nearly fell over when I was told it would cost me £6.30! Simply overpriced!

I had heard about this bakery in Oxford and had to give it a go. I fell in love with the coffee and the desserts. Nice atmosphere and a perfect place to go with friends or family!

One of our favourite places to visit when in Jericho for a much needed pick-me-up. Fantastic coffee, a lively and friendly environment and most importantly, the cakes are out of this world and VERY generous portions!! Would definitely recommend! 🙌🏼

Six out of five for the cake 😀 There's a bike on the wall too so I was sold before I tucked into the slab before me. I forget what flavour it was as I entered into a trance whilst devouring it. Highly recommended 🍰

The cakes look amazing but didn't fancy them at the prices shown. Do like a croissant with my coffee and they did look really good, but not £4.15 good! Takeaway coffee nothing to write home about either. Disappointing.

Everything about this cafe is 5-star except the WiFi. Mobile reception is patchy at best, non-existent more often. A WiFi password is boldly displayed out front but the WiFi rarely works. And by rarely I mean in ~5 years off and on (off during the pandemic) I’ve managed to connect perhaps twice on my standard iPhone. I had email correspondence with the owner over a year ago and suggested a low cost simple mesh system but nothing has changed. The staff are mostly apologetic about it - recognising it is atrocious. At this point I have to wonder if it is a deliberate strategy to force customer turnover rather than have seats occupied by low margin WiFi scroungers. I’ve rarely seen the cafe full though, and there are other ways to deal with freeloaders. I think it’s reasonable to ask the cafe to take down the bold WiFi sign unless or until it is fixed, as it would appear to be misleading advertising.

Disappointed - the decor and cakes look 5 star but the cakes taste 2 star. The cream cheese topping is too cheesy, while the vegan cake is bland. Lived in the area for 5 years, so I come by every year or two to see if the cakes get any tastier but every time I am left disappointed. Perhaps it is my palette but I have heard similar things from friends. It may be time for this place to try some new recipes. Mind you, their brownies are nice.

Unfortunately at OVER £5 per slice (despite the fact you claim to use “essence not flavouring”🙄🤣) I had what could of been considered a fire hazard of a cake. It was so dry and bland I also noticed that it says on the stamps per slice/coffee but is now per transaction. Back to the dry cake, it was all crusty and hard on the outside. THE SLICES ARE SO THIN WHEN YOU HAVE A SLICE THE END TIP FALLS OF AS THERE IS NO STRUCTURE TO THE SLICE. 🫣 appalling avoid.

Be careful when getting stamps for your coffee. The owner has decided stamps should be per transaction, rather than per drink. One stamp for three coffees? It left a bad taste

Iced coffee here is good but more expensive than other places on the same street. Cakes are delicious. Staff are always super friendly, very cozy space too. I especially love the cake display :)

Really great little bakery! I don't live in Oxford, but I visit it for work often, and every time I do, I make a point to stop in at Jericho! They sell really nice loose-leaf teas, and a nice selection of snacks (mostly all sweets - cakes, brownies, pastries, etc.). They do offer takeaway, but the vibe inside is very relaxed and fun. My cell always loses service inside, but they do offer wifi. And they're dog-friendly - my pup loves sitting on the bench with us!

A very unique selection of cakes, most of which taste great as long as you buy it in the earlier hours of the morning instead of late in the day, when they’ve been sitting out for a while. Coffee was also good and you can tell the barista was well trained and knew what they were doing. Service was par and it seemed like plenty of people from the Jericho area get their morning brew here. Recommended!

Rather mixed experience with the cakes - one was moist but the cream cheese frosting tasted a little weird and too strongly of cheese while the carrot cake was too dry. The place itself is lovely though and with friendly staff.

Wonderful coffee and cake shop in Jericho. This is where we go when we want a cup of tea in a nice cup and a big slice of delicious cake. The staff are always friendly and the courgette and lime cake is divine as are the cinnamon buns. Queue sometimes a little long but it’s worth the wait.

Cakes and coffee so good we stopped in twice in one day! They have a smorgasbord of tasty treats, the pic is of a delight called a Cruffin!! Yes a Croissant muffin! A taste bud pleasing creation that is guaranteed to leave you wanting more! To put the cherry on top the staff are top quality and the coffee will make you wonder why you ever wasted your time at Starbucks... Get yourself down and sample Barefoot!

I had an excellent flat white and most delicious and generous piece of banana bread. Really well maintained cafe with friendly service. Did I mention the coffee was superb?

The cakes are good usually but at £4.50 for a tiny sliver of a piece, I won't be back anytime soon.

Recently visited Barefoot we ordered two cakes which were fantastic!! However the coffee was one of the worst I've ever had. The staff definitely need some training! the milk was scolding hot and the coffee burnt. Such a disappointment. I wouldn't return for a coffee but definitely for one of the cakes!

Barefoot's new cafe on North Parade is a nice space: small and comfortable. But that's where the good news ends, folks. The cakes look great, decorated with flowers and tempting icing. But sadly they taste like cheap sponge topped with Gillette shaving foam. I ordered breakfast tea, difficult, you'd think, for a cafe to mess up. But the tea was weak weak week no matter how many times I squeezed the teabag with my spoon; it was like drinking milk diluted with hot water. Worst of all, though, is the owner, whose loud, booming voice bounces off all the walls; she seems to think everyone wants to know her philosophies of the world. All I wanted was a quiet place to read, with a nice cup of tea and a tasty cake. Epic fail on all counts.

Me and my girlfriend are always on the hunt for amazing places to eat, and when we find a good one with brilliant service we always let them know by leaving a review or a generous tip.The owner was polite from the get go and made us feel welcome, even going out of her way to put up a table outside for us. The donut I had had got to be the best I’ve EVER tried, and the cinnamon bun was delightful (was actually recommended by another customer). We picked up some Gluten free brownies too (there are a lot of vegan + gluten free options !!!). I would 100% recommend this little wonderful bakery :)

The best brownies in the World. I have told everyone about this place, their raspberry brownie is incredible. The selection of cakes, including vegan and gluten free options is great as well. The doughnuts are also amazing!

This is one of my favorite places in Oxford, I come here frequently and as a baker/ self-proclaimed sweet tooth haver. I can confidently say if you like baked goods you'll love this bakery. The cake is fluffy, the icing is sweet and lush, the brownies are decadent, and the warm cinnamon rolls are particularly moreish. These desserts feel and taste luxurious but without the burden of luxury prices. Stepping into the shop feels a bit like coming home, during lockdown this place was a Godsend, just being able to stop by for a coffee and a treat during our daily exercise allowance. I even ordered my 25th birthday cake from here and it was so beautiful, it contributed to making the evening a memorable event, a memory I'll cherish forever. There's no place better in Oxford for wholesome crumbly cupcakes, warm cups of cocoa ( I can't forget to mention the roasted HOMEMADE marshmallows that go on top either) check it out for yourself, you'll be happy you did.

I ordered a box of brownies as a little treat for myself. This was the first time ever trying Barefoot bakery and I can honestly say it’s absolutely delicious. I got the salted Caramel brownies and oh my goddess...GET THEM!! They were by far the best brownies I have ever had. I will definitely be buying from this lovely bakery again, 10/10 would recommend!!!

Have been to the Jericho cafe a few times but since this academic year it has been closed, my housemate and I have started our day a couple of times by walking to Barefoot No 9 to get coffee and a cinnamon bun (if there are any left!). One of our housemates is vegan so we always make sure to pick up a treat for her too.

I ordered my birthday cake from Barefoot Oxford, and we savored every bite! They were super flexible in terms of pick-up, and the cake was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to make up an occasion to reorder!

Ordered a cake online and asked them not to use chocolate to decorate. Cake was delivered with the writing done in chocolate. When I called to enquire, I wasn’t even offered an apology. Instead, I was met with a rude attitude and my intelligence was insulted with comments such as “you should have said that you’re allergic, then we wouldn’t have used chocolate at all”, “ if we don’t use chocolate for writing then what can we use?”, “ you didn’t say don’t use chocolate for the writing as writing is not decoration”. If writing on cake is not decoration then I must be living under a rock. Why would it have taken me saying that I’m allergic for you not to use chocolate at all? The mere fact that I asked you not to use it was sufficient for you to not flying do it. If a customer has given specific instructions the least you can do is call or email to clarify if you’re not sure. I could have bought my cake elsewhere, but I was trying to support a local business. Worst £30 I’ve ever spent. That was my first and last time spending my hard earned money in this so called bakery. Never again. I’d rather buy a cake from Tesco.

Ordered an apple & blackberry cake from Barefoot this past weekend and I'm so glad I did! I was looking for a birthday cake for my father-in-law that wasn't too sweet, didn't have fondant icing and had a unique flavour other than the standard cake flavours. They delivered the cake on time and everyone really enjoyed it. I was even told "10 out of 10" for the cake, so thank you Barefoot!

Got my brownie box from them and it has been making my week so much better already!! I have had their cakes and pound cakes before as well and I can truly say this place has something special that I have not had in many cafes! They have emailed back very quickly and the packaging and the quality of brownie is out of this world! Highly recommend!! It will be great if there will be a small student discount but other than this fabulous cafe!!

I had a most lovely visit to Barefoot Jericho..whilst waiting for my daughter and her pal I was so looked after as I have broken my wrist and can’t move brilliantly! The cakes are fantastic and a truly lovely place! Thank you indeed!

If you are a bit of a sweet teeth, this is your paradise. Brownies as you've never even dreamt about (even the vegan ones are so yummy!), cakes with different flavours to what you're used to, and lovely loafs home baked every day.They only accept card payments.

The woman behind the counter was rude and condescending for no reason at all, it seems she does not respect customers. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone.

We popped into Barefoot on a Sunday afternoon for a pick-me-up. The selection of cakes was very impressive with GF, no wheat and vegan options available. Having made our cake selection we also enjoyed a coffee that was well make and testy. Overall it was a very nice, excellent cake and good coffee.

The cakes are not only beautiful but also absolutely delicious! There are some vegan options available as well, the cafe itself is lovely and the staff is fantastic. I will definitely be back!

It's hard to find good vegan cake in Oxford but this was spectacular - and they rotate out the flavors often so there's something new to try. I wouldn't describe the service as unfriendly at all.

Estoy acostumbrado a pasar por el café de Oxford y, aunque muchos de ellos son encantadores, no me atraen tan a menudo. No me decepcionó. El café aquí es uno de los mejores que he probado en Oxford y la tarta estaba deliciosa. Me sorprendieron algunas de las otras críticas aquí, ya que mi porción casi me derrotó, lo cual es una rareza para este pozo sin fondo, ya que, por cierto, me han descrito en más de una ocasión. Yo no podría haberlo dicho mejor que el crítico que tituló su crítica en marzo de 2019: 'Cortes hostiles y pequeños'. Francamente, puedo manejar el servicio glacial y supercilio (pero, realmente, ¿quién te crees que eres? ¡Tienes una tienda de té, por el amor de Dios!). Pero ahora estoy harto de la media y el tamaño calculado de las rodajas para publicar una foto. Esta es la tercera vez que nos roban 3. 50 por el trozo de pastel más malo que hemos recibido. Deberían avergonzarse de ser tan malos, pero claramente no lo son. Uno sospecha que su modelo de negocio no funciona, ya que rara vez está ocupado. Buena suerte con su estrategia actual de intentar reducir las esquinas reduciendo el tamaño de las porciones, pero no volveremos a perder más dinero aquí nuevamente.

Nos encantan los pasteles hechos aquí, en realidad pedimos uno para una celebración familiar y, a pesar de un contratiempo en la entrega, estuvimos muy contentos con él. Sin embargo, he llamado al menos tres veces desde entonces y he encontrado que el personal (y ha sido diferente cada vez) está un poco distante. Es casi como si yo, como cliente, tuviera que hacer el trabajo para establecer primero el contacto visual. . . . Sí, a veces está ocupado, pero siempre me enseñaron a reconocer a las personas a medida que entran, incluso si no se les puede servir de inmediato y luego iniciar la conversación sobre qué comer y beber. I have been there three times during my short stay in oxford. The cake selection is amazing, I wish I could try every cake they had, they look so good but taste even better! Also coffee was good and staff very friendly!

Un poco decepcionante al ver que el chocolate caliente era solo de Cadbury dado el precio que cobran. Barefoot is a wonderful little cafe! I was wowed by the beautiful cakes in the window, decorated with flowers and fruit! The rose and raspberry slice was as delicious as it looked and was served with a smile. Extra care was taken for my partner who has severe nut allergies, which was really appreciated. The iced latte was lovely too! Definitely worth a visit!

Inspiring Cafe with good selection of collations & vegan treats. Sadly the card machine was out of order & cafe very noisy with toddlers on Saturday late afternoon. Open til 6pm but no pre-booking possible so not the most relaxing place. Shame. Also not my best brownie.

We visited this little bakery on the recommendation of a friend and I’m so glad we did. It’s quite a small place so we couldn’t sit in as there were no tables and no space. However they do take away cake and coffee which we did, there is a park nearby so we went there and enjoyed the food and drinks. The cakes are amazing here and the coffee was also extremely good. There are some unusual flavours of cake too which is decent. Based on this experience I will certainly be visiting again, one of the best places I’ve found / been recommended in Oxford to date. Based on this experience if you like coffee and cake I think you’d be mad not to find this place and give it a go.

Went here after looking in window and seeing a large selection of great looking cakes in the window.We took away two different slices of rhubarb and rose and mango and coconut, we didn't eat them till the following day but both were fantastic, very moist with a delicious cream filling.

The range of cakes is great. The coffee is very nice. I've been many times. However, the last few times I've been I've experienced cold and on some occasions rude customer service from the older lady with glasses, to the point that I went onto trip advisor to see if any one else had complained. The cake slices vary in size: that's why different people have such opposing opinions. Generally the slices are a decent size - but a couple of times I've been given a measly slice. Can I just add that all the other staff have always been really nice. Shame that one person can make people feel so unwelcome, presumably unintentionally.
