Brilliant afternoon here, deffo the place to go

Poor service, no one behind counter. Waiting staff strolled over on their phone and eventually looked up to take order. Food warm but came out within 6 mins of ordering in a very empty bar. No way was freshly cooked. Toilets also filthy, and can smell septic tank from the booths right at the back Used to come here often, won’t again

Shame really because I’ve came here a few times but recently has delivered sub-par. Food came out cold, staff were not attentive and feels overpriced for what your eating. A smile would have been nice, bye.

Really amazing service and food, Marcello is so accommodating. This place is amazing to relax in, a gem hidden in plain sight such a great place to go to when the sun is out also for the outdoor seating! Cant recommend enough

Great barman for sure the highlight, selection of beers is 70% IPAs which I hate; on wings wednesday with the lads and there was so much sauce I could've drowned a Great Dane in it. Ruined the whole experience to be honest £13.95 to feel like I might vomit buffalo sauce no thankyou. Overall the ambience was nice, the staff were great, but I was looking forward to just catching up with the guys, having some beers and good wings, however I feel both cheated and thoroughly disappointed. Honestly definitely never going to brewdog again, however the lost lager is great.

Good fellow, I must say that Nav I daresay, he is a credit to his profession and a true asset to this fine establishment at this esteemed establishment was nothing short of exemplary. His attentiveness and knowledge of the finest spirits were matched only by his impeccable manner, reminiscent of the refined gentlemen of our time. His service was as smooth as a well-crafted whiskey, and his recommendations were spot on.

Había pasado por este lugar un par de veces, pero nunca visitó. Apareció a las 5: 30 . Bar tenía cuatro o cinco personas más en él. Estuvo en el bar un rato viendo al único miembro del personal del bar escribiendo boletos de reserva de mesa. Obviamente, o no se había fijado en mí o me estaba ignorando con estudio; de cualquier manera, malas habilidades de camarero diría. Logré pedir una pinta que se puso delante de mí junto con la máquina de tarjetas, que tenía una punta del 12% ya añadido. Pensé que esto era un poco descarado, ya que había tomado un tiempo para ser servido, el personal del bar no estaba exactamente apresurado de pie, y mi pinta ya era solo un bigote de £ 7. Quité la punta de la máquina antes de pagar, lo que por supuesto me ganó el ceño fruncido. Obviamente un glotón para el castigo, pedí una hamburguesa con papas fritas. Pago por adelantado en el bar y adivina qué, 12% de propina ya añadida. Llámame raro, pero me gusta evaluar la comida y el servicio ANTES de decidirme por la propina. Punta quitada. Mirada sucia. Cruzé la calle a la Biblioteca, donde me sirvieron una pinta encantadora de pozo - mantenido real ale por acogedor, amable personal del bar por £ 4. 50 sin ninguna tontería de punta pre-añadida.

We were passing through Oxford on the way to see family and had a voucher to use. The food was served quickly and nice and hot. We had flights of beers for the 4 of us. And the manager behind the bar was fantastic. He really sets the tone for the atmosphere of the place. Easy to talk to and was very accommodating. His Italian flair was warm and inviting. The reputation of the bar owes itself to his management. We had a really nice time eating and drinking there

Visited on Saturday, 1st March 2025, with three adults and two children. The initial service was friendly and prompt, but unfortunately, the food service let the experience down. We placed a straightforward order: two burgers, a side of chips, onion rings, and Hasselback potatoes. For the children, we ordered the 'Hoppy Meal' burger and macaroni cheese. After a 30-minute wait, we enquired about our order. The person behind the counter acknowledged the delay and said they'd spoken to the kitchen, promising it would be another 5-10 minutes. However, the food finally arrived after a total wait of 45 minutes. Given the excessive wait, the food was quite disappointing. It's understandable if a restaurant is busy, but the venue was relatively quiet. If you're planning a visit, be sure to allow ample time.

La peor comida que he comido. Realmente horrible. Hamburguesa de pollo tan cocida y seca luego empapada en salsa que empapada dominó todo. Más de 45 minutos esperando pequeñas porciones de comida cara y desagradable. Muy decepcionante por lo que se suponía que iba a ser una comida de celebración para mi hijo.

Came in for the Wednesday wings deal, wings were delicious and staff very friendly. Very nice experience overall.

Not been to a worse place in Oxford. Came on Sunday for the 50% off deal. Arrived and told they’d “run out of chicken and salad”. That’s like 80% of the menu. Ordered a burger, to be told there was no burger buns. Tried to get the deal. Told because there’s not enough available on the menu they can’t honour the deal. Make it make sense. Plus the whole restaurant stink of sewage. And trust me, it wasn’t my farts. Overall disappointing food, prices, odour, staff, atmosphere. Pints were ok though, heard the CEO isn’t very nice though.

This is 3 star review on this visit , normally it's a solid 4. This time I popped in to try the Korean loaded fries and a Birdman AF. Too expensive to be a side dish and too small a portion to be a main dish the loaded fries were disappointing. A ramekin of tepid fries with two 4" Korean goujons does not a meal make. Dressed with a teaspoon of kimchi and a squirt of liquid cheese didn't improve the overall dish. It's a mystery as to why this dish took 28 minutes to materialise from ordering. I did wonder whether the food had been hot when it was at the pass but the languid route it took to my table by the distracted employee meant it was barely warm when it arrived . Not a success. If all beer was as thin as Birdman AF every month would be dry not just January. Like freshly tinkled in toilet water this was faint yellow in colour with a tang of sourness that was unpleasant. In essence this was an expensive glass of coloured water, it held no depth of flavour, no beer like qualities, no joy. As I said I normally rate the food and drinks here but this two items are something to steer clear of.

We had an amazing evening at BrewDog! Came here after our birthday dinner plans fell through and the lovely lovely staff rescued us and made our evening so special. Great drinks selection and delicious burgers and sides with a super easy ordering system — much appreciated as a big group. Beautiful rustic ambiance and cosy vibes and such a fun well thought out and organised pub quiz. And they even brought out the birthday cake and played happy birthday for us! So grateful for a perfect evening and I’ll definitely be back 💕

We came in for our mates birthday and Wing Wednesday only to be sitting around for 60 minutes before the first plate came around. After eating that we had to wait another 50 minutes for the second plate of wings to come around.

We visited on a random Friday, having visited many Brewdogs before and were greeted by Marchello who looked after us for our entire visit. We got a sharing feast, and were super impressed with it all (especially the chicken wings). Beer choice was great, knowledge and friendliness of staff was superb. We left so happy with our experience. Brilliant brewdog.

Food took over 40 mins to arrive and was cold. Cluck Norris burger just two deep fried chicken pieces with a small teaspoon of avocado and sauce.

I went out today for Wings Day. We arrived at 6:30 and placed our first order along with drinks. After a few minutes, the first batch of wings arrived, and we ordered a top-up. It took 15 minutes to arrive, and the third order took more than 30 minutes. At that point, we decided to leave. I asked to speak with the manager, but the person at the counter said he was too busy to come upstairs. I understand the place was busy, but it was obvious that people who arrived after us and ordered their third top-up were served before we were. They offered us a 25% discount on drinks, but overall, it was a disappointing experience. To sum it up: this isn’t Wings Day—it’s Scam Day.

Went for lunch and the food was excellent, especially the seasonal Christmas turkey burger on the special menu. The service, selection of beers and advice was excellent.

Estaba en el bar con otra persona, Ellos fueron servidos primero a pesar de que yo estaba primero, luego otro hombre vino al bar, el hombre lo sirvió de nuevo antes que yo. Luego, cuando finalmente me puse Servido dijo que no tenía lo que pedí me volví a socio y dije lo que te gustaría en su lugar pidió algo más el bar dijo oh tenemos esto... que es lo que pedí en primer lugar. Se marchó y su bebida no le preguntó lo que quería y luego le preguntó a mi pareja algo más. Tratada como si yo fuera invisible, no estaba segura de si esta era su intención o no, pero me sentí tan grosera!

Bloody hell, the pub is so noisy that a person with a hearing impairment can't do anything here! I have no complaints about the beer and the staff - they are at the highest level!!!

I’m trying to remember the worst day and worst food than this one! Honestly can’t find! Chicken wings taste chicken when you leave outside fridge. Honestly first and last time in this pub! Waste of money .. and waste of time! Service 0!

Very friendly General Manager made us feel so welcome. Nice atmosphere. Chicken wings were tasty.

Disappointed. Is what comes to mind. We waited 1h 30 minutes for a food. Was this place ram packed? Was our food order complicated? Was there a crisis in the kitchen? No. What was a perfectly simple and small food order in a quiet bar turned into an epic wait. This is honestly so disappointing as the food is perfectly nice and the bar staff even nicer. To add injury to insult when the wings came out they were stone cold, we had to ask for them to be redone. They came out a second time barely warm. The lovely bar staff offered us free drinks to makeup up for the evenings events but I fear it was not enough to sweeten such a sour experience. So I’ll say it once more I’m disappointed how an establishment with amazing beer and nice food can mess it up so badly.

Been here a couple of times, always very happy for the beer selection. Machado was really nice, kind of guy that goes the extra mile. The next visit he wasn't in, and staff were ok. Food is tasty for a beer joint, really nice hamburgers and kids menu available!

Bar tenders lie when there’s a deal on saying that under 25 club lasts to 8pm when it’s 4pm onwards, I love Brewdog but I don’t trust these guys.

Came here whilst staying on a long weekend. My husband loves a hazy Jane. He had a pint and I had half a cool lager. Just under £10 so really shocked at the prices. Mine was awful and nearly flat and a bad beer can make me really ill so told staff n they said it was the end of the barrel so changed it. Surprised the guy who served me didn’t realise. The replacement beer was a bit better but really didn’t enjoy it. The guy was kind to change it but in all honesty we didn’t enjoy the visit. Some tables not cleaned and the rustic interior didn’t feel nice and comfortable. Best left to the younger clients.

Great atmosphere and vibe, enjoyed the different music. Food was very slow, waited around 35/40mins and some items were cold when arrived. Really yummy though. Biggest disappointment was there was no gas so couldn't try their delicious beers, I was the one lucky customer to get one pint from draft but no one else did. Would come back but hope it's better 🤞🤞

Got a beer tasting experience as a birthday present for my mate (both 22yr olds). Had a brilliant beer tasting experience with Nav. He had lots of information about the brewing process and pairing with the cheeseboard that came with all of the beers. Also had a great time chatting to him - would recommend for a gift for a friend.

Nav and Chris have been legendary at every visit along with the rest of the staff - I feel welcome and well-informed at every visit. Amazing food (my compliments to the lovely chef), great service, banging music selections, and always an overall sensational experience. Also lots of student discounts and fun events + deals otherwise! Certainly will be visiting again! :)

Beer school and tasting with Marcello was excellent. We had five beers to taste, which were all yummy and Marcello was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was our first visit to this Brewdog, so we’ll definitely come back to more food and beers!

When we arrived, our table was completely taken over by a member of staff with a laptop and all kinds of personal paraphernalia layed out across the table. We arrived on time and it took 15 minutes to get served before our table even started to be cleared. Eventually we sat down and waited... And waited... It wasn't until 45 minutes after our arrival time that we got our first order of wings. Because of this we put our next order in straight away. It look another 40 minutes until not even half of our order arrived (the rest of it never did!) we ordered again, that time it did arrive and in a reasonable time. Again we ordered but were then told that they had RUN OUT OF WINGS!! We asked to pay and when I asked if there was anything that could be done about what had happened, the staff simply laughed and waited for me to pay. An incredibly underwhelming experience, especially after this being our 4th visit!

Wings Wednesday....my third time here. Great portions and taste. Nav was excellent. He looked after us very well. High recommended.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the right place for us. We were two families with four tired kids looking for a quick dinner. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Three kids ordered nuggets, but two got reheated breaded steak pieces instead. An adult salad also had that same reheated fried chicken. The wait was too long, and much of the food was disappointing. We won't be back.

Pet friendly pub service good option of beer (for those who appreciate it). There no such as pint here, the max they serve is 2/3 of pint. We ordered some chicken wings which were okay, the service though was very good. Rectifying: BrewDog pub serves pint for beer lower than 6% (thank you for clarifying, that is useful info mainly to my husband).

Very cosy bar with an eclectic repertoire of brewdog beers and wonderland cocktails. The staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been a regular of this Brewdog for a couple years but the service my friend and I received from Navvin blew me away - above and beyond doesn’t cover it. He was considerate and polite from the moment I walked in, he seemed invested in every customer in line, took the time to ask my preferences and found what I’d consider perhaps the best pint I’ve ever drank (Passion of the Shake). I only wish I could have left a bigger tip. I will be back!

Waited almost one hour for a sandwich and a salad. The menu also seems to be misleading, by saying that a dish should be served with fries when it is not. Therefore, someone should pay extra even though the menu says otherwise. The waiting staff also overwhelmed and unapologetic about the misunderstanding. Disappointing overall.

Disappointed would be the perfect adjective to use for our visit to this establishment. We booked the "watch the Euros" reservation for our annual get together of old friends, imagine our shock when there wasn't a reserved table and we had to ask bar staff several times to actually put the football on the television, to which the staff seemed very put out by this request. I would avoid this bar if you are ever in Oxford especially if you want to watch some ADVERTISED sport, Oneils is a much better option!

Brewdog beer is awesome but this place isn't We order fries with bacon, 15 or so minutes later we got some warm fries with a slab of cold cheese and some bacon, pretty bad. You can see the can't handle the bar, it was basically empty and there were like 40 pints just sitting on the bar waiting to be cleaned.

We have been coming to Brewdog Oxford on a regular basis since it opened. Always had at least 3 stouts on draft, Black Heart and at least 1 or 2 guest strong stouts. Very disappointed to be told that due to the Euros they have taken them off and they only have Black Heart. Now that's why people like myself come in. Was going to eat and stay most of the night to watch the football, the wife had her drink, only because they had already poured it, I had nothing, then we left.

I've been to many Brewdogs and had a great experience each and every time, however not last night in Oxford. There were 3 staff total, two front of house and one in the kitchen, obviously this is not enough. We waited close to one hour for our cold and dry burgers and the fries weren't delivered to us. I ate two bites and went to the bar for a refund. I don't blame the staff at all, they were very hard working and clearly trying their best to keep the customers happy. There should have been a manager there and a few more staff members. They weren't prepared for a busy night but a good manager should be looking at nearby events to ensure they are prepared.

Decided to have a quick supper. We ordered a Patriot and a Jackpot burger. The beef patties were delicious; cooked to perfection. The Patriot burger was served with smoke bacon, cheddar, pickles, onions, baby gem and bbq sauce. The smoke bacon enhanced the patty while the pickles add acidity to balance the flavour. Loved this combination though the bbq sauce overwhelmed the remaining ingredients. The Jackpot combination was less successful. The Jackpot was served with chorizo, black pudding, blue cheese and bbq sauce. The beef patty was perfect. The combination was let down by the overwhelming bbq sauce. The black pudding provided a texture variation but not flavour. The chorizo and blue cheese were drowned by the sauce. Perhaps with lesser sauce and the portion of each ingredient adjusted, the Jackpot could be better. The burgers were paired with beers and there was a wide selection to choose from. On the whole, it's still an enjoyable supper.

I’m so disappointed and angry because of the treatment that was given to me and the service. So my partner and I visit BrewDog quite often mainly for their chicken wings. But these days, every other time we are there they have one or the other issue with the kitchen. Once, the chef was sick. And tonight, we went early just because we were craving for wings. It was half n hour after the order was placed and we went to check in on the order and guess what ? They said the kitchen was “closed”. We ordered the food way before they closed the kitchen and they said it was the fault of the “ticketing system.” And then one of the staff members walked up to us to say it’s been canceled. And I was just explaining our situation that we placed an order half n hour ago, it wasn’t at the table and we just wanted to check what’s happened. This staff member, Kristiaan Dorrington was so rude. He was the one we were talking to. He said I’m giving you £20, and threw some notes on our table(definitely not the real notes, they looked like some gaming currencies). He said “it’s not my fault, don’t yell at me” while we never yelled at him. He then walked away. I was very upset after that and I walked up to him at the bar counter, asked him for his name. He wrote his name down and gave it to me. I said I never yelled at you, the music was loud hence it wasn’t audible. I was just explaining my situation, and you don’t get to throw these fake currencies on my table when I’m your customer. He lost his patience and said “get out. Just get out.” Is this how you people treat your customers ? I used to love the vibe at BrewDog, the food, the beer, everything. But tonight was just so horrendous and a nightmare. We were there to enjoy our Saturday night; but this is what happened and it just ruined my mood for the night. Thanks Mr.Kristiaan Dorrington, for your extremely unpleasant behaviour. You need to learn how to respect a woman. Never visiting BrewDog in Oxford again. Be cautious guys ! If you order food, they accept it and if you still don’t get it after 30 mins, you can’t question them where the food is because they’ll ruin your day/evening/night with their rudeness and disrespect for women, and everyone else in general. This isn’t the first time, I’m writing a review after experiencing this sort of chickening out from food orders for the past few times. The picture I’ve attached is the copy of this staff member’s name who wrote it for me when I walked up to the bar counter to tell him we weren’t yelling at him.

I had a great time at Brewdog! Mikey and Sam were amazing and properly requested such a nice beer for me for have. I couldn't recommend a better bar!

Music great. Vibes great. Drinks great. Food, absolute joke. Imagine having a booking for a meal and not even being served it after waiting an hour. Arrived slightly early to a pretty quiet spot - a handful of tables had one or two people at best. Sat down quick - fab. Nice table - fab. Ordered food, wow the menu looked amazing. Large group arrives after us, we notice theirs arrives. No worries, we'll probably be next. 30 minutes pass, no food, we ask on estimated times, we're told to wait. Ngl bit annoying, there wasn't any reassurance or any bother to check. By this point the place is getting more and more customers, we notice food now being served to people who arrived a fair bit after us... Okay... Definitely feeling hungry and confused. Hour since ordering, food clearly wasn't coming and it never did so we left. If you want a drink, sure great place great vibes. If you want food and attentive service, maybe not the place to go. Absolute shame as our first impression on arriving actually meant we were discussing future visits - that won't be the case now.

We were actually really let down. This was our first opportunity to try out Brewdog on the Cowley Road and despite it's cheerful atmosphere we left hungry. We booked in for 17:30 and arrived slightly earlier to order food before a show we'd booked at the bullingdon for 18:30. We were shown to our seats by a lovely member of staff who helped sort some issues with our order but who we then never actually saw again. We ordered at 17:20, had some drinks and then proceeded to wait 30 minutes with no food in sight. I went to ask about how long the wait for our order would be and was informed that "the food takes some time as we only have one chef and we would just have to be patient" I could have accepted this if it wasn't for the fact we then watched the food for other people who had arrived after us be brought to their tables. We waited until 18:20, an hour after our initial order, finished our drinks and cancelled our food as it was clear we'd just been forgotten. The easiest thing about this experience was getting a refund which, with service like this I imagine, is a well practiced part of the job.

We’ve been to some of the other branches of BrewDog but this one was not good. Very understaffed (on a bank holiday too) and the food took nearly an hour to come. We ordered vegan burgers and were given real beef ones. Luckily we’re not vegan so we could eat them (and we did, because we weren’t about to send them back after waiting for so long). A table near us offered their burgers to other tables saying ‘we can’t have them because we’re vegan and these are real meat’. Not sure if the kitchen had just run out and hoped no one would notice? Anyway the food was average and the sides were very greasy and way too salty.

It was easter kids go free offer. Although initially welcoming, exiting and surprised (to find an x-box at the table for the kids to play with), the actual food was really not nice (super greasy, unhealthy, burned and substituted) and it was still too expensive. Shame but won't go again.

Been to BrewDog in Oxford before, but this time the service was subpar. The staff had a booking for us on their sheet, but showed us to some one else’s table. Food was quite late and wait staff checked the food elevator inconsistently, so it had been sitting there for some time. No cutlery on table (had to hunt around ourselves), no toilet paper in the loo (although not particularly busy and staff sitting around. Could have been better.

Had a fantastic night, 24 of us so no easy task when went to the bar. Staff were spot on, special shout out to Ash. Would highly recommend this place

Can’t get over how awful this was. Smells like drains. One guy on the bar has no clue, not his fault but other staff too busy rolling a cigarette to help him. Beer took 20 minutes because of some kind of gas change. Ice looked it was in a mop bucket. I like the beer but not coming back (unless REALLY drunk). I used to like it here.

Had a lovely time. The staff were so attentive and accommodating to my allergy requests. Food took a little while to come out but was very yummy.
