Peking Palace in Dover

It is simply the best Chinese food in Deal and needs to be recognised as such.. The salt and pepper squid is a good litmus test for ANY Chinese and the PP’s is great ..This is great advice so test it! !!

I’ve ordered from here multiple times now and have had mixed results. Three times before I’ve gone in for there for the following: BBQ ribs, Honey ribs and ‘Seaweed’. Which I’ve been happy with each time, the ribs can be fatty but always have LOTS of meat on which has kept me coming back and the ‘seaweed’ is nice. However, I ordered their Crispy Chilli Beef a few days ago and it just didn’t hit the spot whatsoever…it was large bits of “beef” although was mainly batter and the sauce was simply sweet and sour sauce which wasn’t even thick enough to cling to the beef itself and I’ve never received this dish like this from anywhere else so I know it’s not supposed to come like this. I feel a bit stupid having a moan over this but as a lover of the dish I would recommend not getting this particular dish from here. However the ribs are good, I’ve also had the duck from here and chicken chalmain which was lovely although this was a while ago…they may have changed chefs? I wish them the best of luck but not the best I’ve ever had and I don’t think I’ll be trying this place again just for the convenience. If I do and it’s better I’ll happily write another review as to not damage the business

Amazing !!! The food is always spot on and if ever had any problems they sort immediately. 5 stars yum

asked for fried veg and got it swimming in an insipid gravy . Also stephan meet was full of prawns and the same gravy. I both dishes just like soup awful. When I phoned up I was told its oyster sauce not gravy . Its not like any oyster sauce I've ever tried . I didn't order soup.

Well what can I say!! Shocking!!!! Pre ordered at 5pm for a delivery at 6.30pm. It’s arrived at 5.30! I sent it back as we weren’t ready to eat. It arrived at 6.30, looked reheated! The crispy squid is as really soggy and wet! Tasteless and bland. Called the shop, chef was very rude. I will not be ordering from Peking palace again!

Make sure to order early as Saturday night can get busy. Well worth the wait! Excellent food all round an able to pay by card on my own doorstep. Will certainly order again.

I came here with a large family and the customer service was amazing. This is a really nice family run business with very delicious meals. Will defiantly come again!

Used to be the best in town, but went downhill some time ago. Food wasn't the best the last time we used it. 5/10
