We went for breakfast on our last morning on the island. I ordered a small breakfast, my partner ordered a large. We waited about 30 mins for it to arrive, and when it did I was horrified. The sausages were black on the outside, but soggy (I felt any of the dogs that were in the establishment could have produced something looking better!!!!) It looked to me as if they had been deep fried in oil that was too cool and it had soaked into the centre and burned on the outside. The plate was swimming in grease and the eggs and mushrooms had been fried in the same dirty oil leaving them brown in colour and very greasy. The bacon was undercooked. Luckily the beans were in a separate pot! I can't believe they actually served that to a paying customer. Personally I would have been embarrassed to present that to anyone at home, never mind in a cafe! I did eat the tomatoes as they were fresh, but left the rest. My partner (who eats most things) made a brave attempt, but gave up. There was no comment from the staff who collected the plates. I had paid when I ordered, and didn't want to ruin our last day by complaining as it was obvious the food looked awful and had been left. Perhaps the cafe would be better sticking to cold food until they find a more competent cook. A really disappointing experience to end our holiday with.

Called for some lunch. I had a salad and ham wrap, and my boyfriend a cheese sandwich. Prices were reasonable and the food tasted lovely and fresh. Bought some ice creams later also. Scoops were a great size and good price also. All staff I spoke to were friendly.

Best breakfast in Sandown, we tried different locations each morning and found this on our last day. Traditional English called a Large Pebbles £8 , done the trick and set us up for the day.

We were on holiday in Shanklin and visited The Pebbles Cafe in Sandown on Monday 1st August, 2022. It's a lovely cafe on the Esplanade with some nice views of the beach and pier. Had a nice snack which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Worth a visit if in vicinity.

I really enjoyed having breakfast at Pebbles. Located opposite Sandown Pier and the Premier Inn, this is a great location for a bite to eat and drink. I opens earlier than other cafes and restaurants along the Esplanade, so it can get busy, even early in the morning (around 8am), so you may want to arrive early for good spot. Overall, I would recommend Pebbles, especially if you are staying in one of the nearby hotels or B&Bs as the food is better at Pebbles than in many of the hotels!

Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

A very peaceful place to stay, in the centre of Newport, conveniently located, close to the bus station and to restaurants. Charming interiors, with a lot of character. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is served, and freshly prepared after the order is made. Hostess is friendly and Staff polite. We will definitely stay there again!

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
