We visited as a family, friendly staff and great service. The environmental impact of this place is concerning, all plastic cups and was told I couldn’t use a glass. No facilities to recycle so had to take the cups home with us. Really shocking given the current climate situation. Pictures all over front of shop promoting plastic cups. Please do better! Will not be returning until the policy on this changes.

I was a bit disappointed today with the experience, the wait was pretty long which I generally don’t mind as I understand the pressure of complying with everyone’s requests. But when I ordered a taro milk tea with tapioqa pearls I didn’t get any pearls and only noticed omw home when opening the drink :( but apart from that I still enjoyed it.

Sadly the tea was weak, cold and like pond water and the pearls were rubbery and way too sweet. Nothing like the real deal. Shame as location is fab and I liked the overall vibe. Really disappointed

I really liked this drink. I thought it was exquisite, thirstquenching and delicious. I liked the drink more than the bubbles and the jelly tasted weird because it tastes like lychee not pineapple. I liked the contrasting flavours, as the drink was really sweet but also tangy and the bubbles were quite mild. A champion choice from Rachel...!

Very delicious and quick service. There are loyalty cards which you will need as once you taste their bubble tea you will keep coming back for more. And loads of different choices suitable for everyone.

Literally my go-to place whenever I’m in town (or even outside, period 😂), I’m pretty sure the staff know my order without me telling it to them now. So unique, delicious bubble tea and popping pearls, would highly recommend to people who are sick of getting the same boring coffees at every café. I guess it’s a little overpriced but I’m just used to it by now.

We are bubble tea fanatics and always look for bubble tea in cities. We went here as we were really craving bubble tea. Firstly the staff on this particular day were very monotone and not that friendly. They did allow our dog in tho which was nice. I ordered a guava bubble tea and my partner ordered white peach. We both agreed that they were very weak and tasted extremely watered down. The juice balls (pomegranate) ones tasted like vinegar which was quite unpleasant. Overall the visit was disappointing.

Tea was warm and the service wasn’t very friendly. Not the best bubble tea in the world - it was very sweet and coated your mouth with icky-ness. Want some water afterwards

I love it! At first I wasn't so sure because it looked kinda weird, but then I tried it and it's actually really good! Definitely one of my favourite drinks now! The service is good too, I like the cards were you get 8 stamps and get a free drink. It gets very crowded at times, but that's understandable. I do think it'd be useful if two (or more) people could be served at a time because (from what I've seen) only one person is ever served at a time so it takes a while. Other than that, I think it's a great shop! I also like how you put the 'People Are Awesome' YouTube videos on TV too, it's a cool thing to watch while your waiting.

I've ordered from here four or five times so thought it was time for a review. Staff: Usually friendly and efficient Queues: Often very busy and you end up having to keep moving around the small interior of the shop so as not to get in someones way. The Bubble Tea: Overall the majority of flavours are pretty nice, I usually opt for a green tea, or something fruit like mango or lychee. Make sure to add popping pearls because they really add to the experience and offer a burst of nice flavour. It's worth paying 30p more for the size up because you probably get around 30% more. Pricing: Fairly steep at about £3.70 for the large but I guess this is comparable with large drinks from the boring coffee chains? Overall worth it for a refreshing drink with a little more jazz.

We ordered 3 bubble teas- I had strawberry with blueberry popping bubbles. The strawberry flavour was poor and not remotely sweet. Also very few popping bubbles were added- it was definitely not worth the money. Don't visit this place for authentic bubble tea, visit Bubbleology in Covent Garden- far superior flavour and service with a smile.

I go here sometimes with my children, they love the variety of flavours and toppings and we have always found the service polite and efficient. On this last visit, my children went in on their own while I waited outside. Drinks were good as usual but when I checked the change later I saw that they had been overcharged by about £4, I suspect that they had been charged for five rather than four drinks. They were not offered or given a receipt so we couldn't check. And I don't know if this was accidental or deliberate, but the automated till system and the fact that it happened when I was outside, make me suspicious. I've warned my children, and I'll be checking more carefully next time.

It's hard to find good bubble tea anywhere, so it should be celebrated that we have the opportunity in Brighton! Having been to Taiwan it's impossible not to compare it to over there. Whilst it does have the sweet/ice/size/pearls selection of Taiwan, the taste isn't quite there. It was also preeeetty expensive. It isn't clear where you should stand when you have finished ordering, they could sort that out a bit. I'll try it again though!

Thank you Libby for making sure our home delivery reached us. There was a problem with delivery (outside sourced), yet Libby was determined for us to get our order and kept phoning them to put this in place for us. We received the delivery, true to her word with a little note saying sorry for it's lateness and some extra stamps to put towards new drinks, which was kind considering how much effort she had put in place trying to get the order delivered by an outside delivery company who would not pick up the phone. Thank you again Libby for your persistence-our children were delighted when the order arrived at the door as I had warned them that the shop would be closing soon and it may not happen, as payment was to be taken at the door. Pearls, you have a great member of staff working for you!

So much to choose from, and near always an offer. Pearls restored my faith in bubble tea after a store more local to me started to go downhill a little. Some people look at the drinks as overpriced, but if you think how much people pay for a coffee at any number of big chains on a daily basis, it's nothing to wrinkle your nose at. Whether you've never tried bubble tea before, or are a seasoned lover, the store is easily worth a visit if you are nearby, just be aware the store is popular and can be a little busy at times

Went into Small Batch, Hove Station at 4.20 pm yesterday. I ordered a coffee as a dine-in customer. Was told that I would have to use a take away cup as they would be closing soon. I left but not before telling the cashier that I would have drunk my coffee within 10 minutes. Small Batch website indicates that they close at 5.00 pm. BTW there were no other customers. Anyway, I went down the road and gave another coffee shop my business.

Unfortunately, even though there were many things right I'll be avoiding this place. The service was impeccable, good beer, perfect lighting and lovely music. So what was wrong? A coven of aggressive women believing they ran the place because they'd booked a table. At their request the music, that I'd been enjoying, was turned off so they could conduct their meeting whilst sipping peppermint tea. I'd suggest a pub isn't an ideal place for this sort of thing. Especially if you're hell-bent on spoiling the atmosphere for everyone else. Sadly, they're regulars.
