Pearl House in Nottingham

The food was not up to standards. What I ordered was not anything like what I should be receiving and was very greasy. I could not eat it, I had to throw it away. A waste of my money. I will not be ordering from here again.

accepted the order and just never delivered, tried to call but the phone just rung out. avoid this place.

Fantastic food and by far the cheapest around I was very impressed

They are usually great, but today unfortunately brought wrong food, replaced wrong food and missed an item, replaced said item but was cold :( Overall they are a great restaurant!

The food was super early and delish as always! Good sized portions too more than enough for everyone.

Absolutely appalled with the service or lack of at pearl house. 1.5hrs after placing the order we called and were told they were busy, but the food would be there in 20 minutes and was ‘cooking now’. We waited another hour, still no food, so we attempted to follow up by calling again. After 30 attempts from the phone associated with the order number we couldn’t get through. I then called on my wife’s phone, they answered straight away. They said the order ‘is right in front of them’ and will be out soon. It did then arrive sometime after, however an item was incorrect. Communication and customer service go a long way regardless of order volume / how busy they are. Both were failed by Pearl House. Very disappointed.

Ordet never came called them they said 20 mins that was half an hour ago placed my order over 1.5 hours ago.

Disgusting experience. We placed order at 6.30pm and it arrived at 8.40pm, all reheated, chewy, even they forgot one of the dishes. Never ordering here again

Had a curry and chicken chow the curry was like water so rang them and they delivered a second one but I have to say it was totally disgusting far to much salt it tasted nothing like Chinese curry we definitely wont order from them sgain

Delivery driver was friendly but food turned up in a hastily knotted plastic bag that looked like it’d been swung round. The chicken dish I ordered was spilt all over the rest which was not great - very messy. Food was tasty and pretty hot.

Food was really nice, special chow mien could of done with little more vegetables and pineapple in syrup would be better if the syrup came in Seperate tub as they went quite soggy from sitting in it however quality of food was lovely

Was really surprised when the food arrived 30 minutes early and hot, but left disappointed with the quality of the food soooo dry and over cooked and none of the Chinese flavours I'm used to. I've tried somewhere new unfortunately I will not be returning. Nearly all of it is in the bin.

First class service once again from Pearl House.

The food was great as usual, unfortunately they forgot a can of Fanta we had ordered, this has never happened before and people make mistakes so no biggy, overall I’ll still order from here again.

The noodles were ok, the ribs were just all fat, only 1 of them had a bone/rib in it. The dumplings were cold, and soggy and tasteless.

first time ordering and I wasn't disappointed fantastic food friendly delivery driver and super early the only criticism was that my fella thought the chicken balls was a little to crispy lol but I like them like that lol but that's down to taste will definitely be ordering again!! :)

Very good service - food was really good quality and tasted great.

Food was supposed to arrive at 7.50 and never arrived until 9pm. The food was cold. The chips were hard. The noodles were rubbery and stuck together & the curry sauce was cold and lumpy the chicken was soft and soggy where it had been sat waiting to be delivered. Would rate it 1 out of 10 and that’s only because the can of Coke was the only decent thing sent. Restaurant wouldn’t do a thing about it.

The food had no flavour, it arrived late and it certainly wasn't worth the wait. It's the worse Chinese i've ever had. Save your money don't order from here

Cardboard boxes were in a tied plastic bag. When opening the boxes fell apart with the condensation, food tasted of cardboard. It has gone in the bin

For a first time ordering from this restaurant we was no impressed. Delivery time was terrible didn't get no update that it was going to be late until we had to ask for help as it was showing as deliver to then be told it would be another 15 minutes

We ordered 2 thai curries and they were about as far from a thai curry as possible. No heat (spicy) at all,the sauce was incredibly sweet,the egg fried rice was very dry. Not a good experience and will not be using them again!!

All three of us had a few mouthfuls and then put it in the bin. Truly awful food. We won’t bother again. Shame as the previous owners cooked delicious meals.

Nicest Chinese I’ve had in a long time

We ordered food at 8:30 we was all tired after a long day and wanted a quick snd tasty option this is my first time trying this Chinese place and our experience wasn’t good our food did not arrive until 10:10 or just after so nearly a 2 hour wait we was falling asleep the chicken chow mein tasted overcooked and it also tasted a lot like plain oil the chips were dry and the egg fried rice was chewy won’t be ordering here again.!

crispy chicken wasn't crispy soggy coating falling off not what I thought it would be .. duck and chicken chow mein well what duck there was mostly fat no veg in it only onions and far to much bbq sauce just drowned everything in way to much sauce and if it says crispy then it should be crispy idea .. the sauce should be put in a separate pot from the chicken all the effort to make it nice and crispy just to throw sauce on it First time ordering and I'm sorry to say I won't be ordering again .

Worst food I have ever eaten chicken balls where crispy with a nasty fat on the inside which made it unbearable to eat sweet and sour sauce nothing sweet about it came hard like jelly I also had a chicken black bean sauce which didn’t have one black bean init taste more of pepper also ordered a coke which I never received and when I rang to address it by just asking for my coke which I payed for they put the phone down and did not pick back up

Prawn noodle had about 3 prawns in it. Other dishes didn't skimp out on ingredients but were way too salty.

Sadly not a great meal - calamari was rock hard so inedible, vermicelli noodles tasted like they were cooked in a burnt pan so not great and crispy chicken was so salty. Overall not great 👎

Food was not great. Chips were old. Mongolian beef was the real Mongolian beef.

Not bad, not great, just alright. we haven't tried this place before so thought we'd give it a go. Food arrived piping hot but the chips were soggy, which you never expect from a Chinese. Sausage was cheap, fryer cooked sausages, they were alright, but I wouldn't get them again. Chicken omelette was okay, bit of a small portion compared to other places. App said driver was on the way about 9:20 but they didn't arrive until almost 9:50, so that could explain the soggy chips.

The food was freshly cooked and was excellent apart from the beef with broccoli in oyster sauce. There was no beef in it.

I got sent the wrong noodles I called up and they apologised and sent the whole order out again but still with the wrong noodles and when I tried to call back again I got no answer

Disappointing given its reviews. The crispy won ton was like bullets and the duck was overcooked, stringy and tasteless. The spring rolls were okay, if a little soggy.

Ordered food last night and after seeing good reviews on Deliveroo I thought I would order from here, worst mistake I could ever make. We ordered at 19:15 and had to call back at 20:30 at still hadn’t arrived and did not arrive for another 25 minutes. Before taking anything out I noticed a dead ant on top of the sweet and sour sauce pot, so refused to eat this and put it in the bin, thought we would at least try it but the pork balls batter was SOGGY and the pork was dry. The chicken batter was soggy like they had been warmed up, the worst part was once my partner bit into the chicken it was PINK so we refused to eat them. Before noticing the chicken we had ate a little of the chicken chow mein which tasted bland and just fatty chicken, the rice was average and the chips tasted like they had been warmed up. Soon as we ate the chicken and noticed it was pink it was a complete put off and us as a family decided to throw it in the bin. We did complain but as we could only probe the chicken was pink we only got a £6 refund, because we couldn’t prove the ant was there (which we through in the bin first). I find it a disgrace that we did not get a full refund as why should we pay for something so atrocious that myself, partner and kids would not eat? Never would I eat from here again.

Order was never received as Just Eat driver got stuck in traffic and couldn't find us but Just Eat refuses to refund half our money!!!

Best place to order food the FLAVOUR WOW even though my food came 10 minutes lates they put in good effort I recommend this place 💯 not the first time ordering but they always deliver!

A little disappointed, everything we ordered was a bit bland (all described as spicy) and the rice was missing. They did agree to refund the missing item, it was our first time ordering but I don't think we'll order from here again

First time ordering from this place, crab meat soup was far best I have had so far followed by the chicken omelette and that was not a mess like a few other places I have tried, Thank you for the service and I shall return in future again

The quality of food was awful! The fried rice was brown and cold. The spring rolls were really greasy and the beef in oyster sauce was terribly salty! We’ve requested a refund from just eat but probably won’t get it. When you pay £30 for a meal for two you expect it to be good and edible. Really disappointed as now ended up in the bin, what a waste of food and money.

The majority of the food was tasty and hot, however, the crispy seaweed was far too salty and it looked like someone had tipped a whole pot of salt into it! Also disappointed that we couldn't order extra satay sauce - every other sauce appears to be available, why not satay?

i ordered the same food as before but it was totally different, way less meat and vegetables instead of it.

Be careful ordering vegetarian items - the vegetable pancake rolls we ordered contained chicken

Soup was delicious and Thai curry actually had a different taste that I liked compared to my old Chinese I use to use. Will be back again!
