Great place very helpful towards me geting my disabled child wheel chair in and very friendly with my child meals were lovely my son enjoyed it went to the plsy every afterwords katie and cholesterol who was in the plsy area was very helpful there even spoke with manger as there only down bottom of the play area my boy could use due to bring in wheel chair there let him.use the bottom part of the area today for free to teast it out my son really enjoyed it spoke eith chole and Katie before we kept to see how much there charge for ny son to go in the bottom part of the play area there spoke with the manger abd said becouse he can't use the whole area there will charge 3 pound when we go again there took my son name and wrote it down in the book saying next time we go we will pay threw pound for him yo use the bottom part of the play area as he can't use it all becouse of his needs at the end my son said to Katie and chole that he rates it 100 out 100 as there were very frie dley to him he 8 years old son has chose to go again in two weeks as he loved it even the bar workers was really good with him abd he sat talking to one bar workers whilest we waited on the food and he said to one the bar workers you ny friend and I sew you in two weeks big thank you to all who went above and beyond to make sure my disabled child got every think he need today he really enjoyed it and rated it 100 out 100 big thankyou to all t hem who works there and made sure my son enjoyed it we will be going again in two weeks thankyou to all who work there understood there were only some things my son could do due to bring wheelchair bound we will see you all again in two weeks love sarah jayden thankyou for everything today you made ine litte boy very happt

Really nice place and friendly me my son who in wheelchair today went for food and the bar workers went above beyond to may it disabled friendly the meals were lovely and one the bar worker spoke we my boy and there chated while and then my boy said your my friend after food we went to tge paly area with my son being in wheel chair after talking with manger and chole the manger and Katie let my boy Try the bottom end of the play area free spoke with chole katie before we left to see how much there charge spoke with manger and said the manger will only charge three pound for the bottom area of.the pay area when we go again there took my son name and wrote it in book that there will charge three pound every time he gose in as becouse he wheel chair bound he can only.usr the bottom area of.the play I aske my son what he rated his vist today and he said 100 out 100 can thank every one here enough as there went above beyond to make my boy who wheelchair bound have amazing time we will be visiting again in two weeks thankyou all for everything yoy did for ny son who is wheel chair bound we will see you again in two weeks love sarah jayden he had wonderfully time and it very disabled friendly for him sorry the other lady in play area was called kala not katie not many play areas he can use becouse he in wheel chair but he loved every minute here today as ge felt really welcomed by all who works there

We used to frequent this place regularly although we haven’t been for some time … we had heard since it was taken over that it had changed big time but it really has ! Without even getting started on the food, where has all the long standing team gone ?! Maybe it’s longer than we realised since we visited , but Mike chapel always had amazing staff - Paula, dawn, were always favourites of ours … even the 2 guys who were a couple ( I think ) who were there years seem to have gone too, and the team now seems very un caring and not really bothered about customer service , there was a blonde haired manager on the waitressing side who was very unwelcoming we found . The heart of the place seems to have disappeared, sadly .

Always took my little girl to pastures for a play and never had a problem, but today my partner took my newborn and 18month old and got charged for both which I thought was daft baring in mind my youngest is a new born and couldn’t possible use the play area but we thought nothing of it was only £1 so no big deal. It’s a hot day 25 degrees so my partner gave my eldest daughter some fruit and a drink to keep her hydrated while she was sat in the high chair after running about in the play area, when a member of staff told us we couldn’t give our daughter food unless it was bought from them so would have to leave for her to eat it and all it were was some fruit to keep her hydrated. I’d understand if we’d have brought a McDonald’s in or something but was literally some fruit in a lunchbox that we’d brought ourselves, so we had to leave after also being told ‘don't try sneak it either you’re on CCTV’ absolute joke, always used pastures as it’s local to us but never again👍🏻

Just had to walk out of this place after waiting for my food when it came things was missing of the meal the food was cremated and cold wouldn't advise anyone to go here even your dog would of would screw its face up at the food we was provided

Today we had afternoon tea for my upcoming wedding. A mini Hen Do if you like. We were greeted and seated by Erin who continued to look after us throughout. She was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble, she made sure to keep my little one involved too. Erin went above and beyond throughout our visit and we had several conversations with her during our time. Pastures pub, always a busy bustling place. From music themed evenings to celebrity talks. To weddings and kids parties theres always something happening at Pastures. Wonderful for a comforting carvery on a sunday or take the kids to run off some energy through the week, at the play area and park. Its a homely, reliable find. Someone where there people to make you feel community spirited. The food is on the pricey side for pub grub but you do get a good portion, usually too much to eat. The decor is typical of local eateries but has a nice comfortable style in shades of red and brown including a mixture of booths tables for families and a quieter area bar side for adults. The rooms are large and theres plenty of space although they can be booked up and reach capacity at weekend so if ur unsure its best to book. Staff are friendly although sometimes look lacking in energy and enthusiasm after a long slog on shift which is understandable given the amount of work they do. Familiar faces on the bar for the last 20years along with new. Ladies in play area always cheerful and happy to help very hard working keep it looking tip top. An parties are relaxed and fun. All in all a great place with great facilities. Definitely a regular of mine. Easy and convenient any time of the week. There are some lovely walks nearby also and The hotel is an extension of the pub/venue so always a bonus to extend your enjoyment and make a night if it. Good value for money for rooms etc and always clean and tidy. Try it for yourself and see.

Moderate modern rooms, food nice, nice friendly staff

First time visiting for me and only 15mins car journey. Came here for my friend to have afternoon tea. We had the deluxe package so a lovely glass of prosecco to start. Plenty of tea and coffee refills. 3 kinds of sandwiche fingers, triple decker which was delicious and assortment of cakes and a fresh fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. Was served by the lovely Erin who was very attentive and always there to top up and refresh the drinks.

Booked a table for 12 for a birthday celebration. Staff was friendly when ordering food , however a few minor issues during the meal . Erin who asked how the meal was was so patient with us as believe me some of the 12 are a hard crowd to please . Erin rectified the issues quickly or gave alternatives . Well done Erin a credit to the Team at the Pastures Lodge.

We had bottomless brunch at Reeds Entertainment excellent Food good and plenty of it Drinks unlimited for 2 hours and you could have practically anything Luke and his staff second to none outstanding service from start to finish can’t wait for next 1

We had my mums wake in Reeds restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The food was excellent too. We weren't rushed out of room either. Some people that came for the wake also stayed in the hotel and also said the rooms were great

Family meal out, had to ask for child's meal and sauce for steak, which at 20 pound was full of fat. Spoons for desserts had to ask for, no condiments filled up. Very poor meals all round

Called in today with cousin to have a meal, very poor, luck warm chips mushy peas and soft cold pastry top to stack and ale pie, the batter on fish and chips not crispy and was not cooked, haven't been for over a month but has got worse, so beware people

Did not stay so cannot comment on rooms but had afternoon tea in the Pastures Lodge and it was fantastic. Alex was great and brought us teas and coffees and looked after us. It was really nice. Would recommend.

Had my daughter’s 5th birthday party here on an exclusive hire, staff couldn’t do enough to help (Lisa, Chloe & Cerys) and everything ran smoothly! Would definitely recommend as a party venue!

We had Finleys 4th birthday party at ali bongos which was very well organised and all the staff were amazing, Lisa, Chloe and Megan made it a easy stress free event for us parents by taking charge of everything even down to cutting the cake and individually wrapping pieces to hand out to the kids as they left. Lisa is so lovely and approachable and nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you so much all the children had a lovely time. Polly

We are always in the play area of pastures and the two ladies that work there are fantastic! Kala and Lisa thank you always, nothing is ever too much trouble, it’s always clean and welcoming. We come all the time because of this.

The service is 1st class. Food is hot & plentyful. The food is double checked at your table. Staff are always friendly & polite. The location of pastures lodge is very central for most villages. FEEDBACK the carvery could do with a counter bell to let matt know people are waiting. Also a sign needs to be in sight for customers not to stand in front of the kitchen doors. Keep up the good work pastures.

Came for the first time to Pastures Lodge for tea and the food was amazing. Finley was attentive and gave brilliant service. The food was beautifully cooked and time waiting was fair. Overall price for food and drink was brilliant. Just want to add Finley was so busy and gave the same great service to all those around us, the whole atmosphere from the bar staff and food servers was welcoming and attentive. Would highly recommend

My friend and I had breakfast this morning at Pastures Lodge and it was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff are lovely, pleasant and very friendly. We were served by Ann and Michelle, both made sure our visit was a good experience. We will be going again.

Went for lunch this afternoon, staff were really informative and made me feel welcome. Was welcomed on entrance and was made aware of ordering process. Food was served promptly and was delicious, had the chicken fajitas and the Cajun sandwich, both very good portions and very worth the money. Meal check was done and dessert order was done at the table. Ann, Michelle Abbey and the bar staff, Finlay and Nat were lovely, would definitely recommend visiting.

We stayed here for 2 nights - the Saturday was for an amazing entertainment event with the fantastic singer, Kyle Tomlinson (from BGT) who was just wonderful. We stayed with friends and enjoyed the brilliant music and atmosphere! The second night our family came for the carvery and we celebrated our son’s birthday. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel. It is set in a beautiful location. The separate restaurant area is fabulous and even has an indoor soft play area which my granddaughter loved! There was an outdoor play area as well which we didn’t use as it was raining. The whole hotel is so clean and welcoming! The rooms were well set out with a huge comfy bed, lots of storage, (and loads of hangers which I like). The room wasn’t massive but was well equipped for us with a dressing table (lots of plug sockets and 2 phone charger points), 2 chairs and a double wardrobe. It included tea and coffee facilities with biscuits played out on the dressing table; inside the wardrobe was an iron and ironing board, a fan (for the summer!), and a free safe. The bathroom was really well equipped too, with nice toiletries and a really powerful shower! The food was absolutely delicious - we had wraps and chips on one day for lunch and then the amazing carvery (which was too much to finish!) on the next day! Breakfast was included as we booked direct on the site and there is a promotion currently. We had a full English on one day and Eggs Benedict the following. There was a good continental section too! All our meals appeared freshly cooked and hot! I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel - and the one thing that stands out for me is the amazing staff! I have never come across people like them before - they are all so kind and caring and can’t do enough for you! They absolutely make this place so special and both my husband and me just want to express our thanks to each and every one of them (especially Lauren and Michelle on reception) .

My partner and I regularly visit pastures lodge for meals and events. We have been coming here for years and find the staff extremely welcoming, attentive and hardworking especially, Fin, Alex and Mollie. Food is always very good and I would recommend it for a visit. Extremely child friendly

Had a really nice meal, had salmon teryaki off the specials board, would definitley have again excellent service from friendly staff.

Had a lovely Wedding there very very pleased with all the food all guests Said they all enjoyed the food and rooms good Luke very good at his job very happy with all is work for the wedding and staff also very nice place for wedding parking very good only thing not happy with was the disco but would say to every one have your wedding there and ask for Luke

Come for a meal tonight with my partner we thoroughly enjoyed it the mixed grills are great value for money and huge portion sizes will definitely be returning again

As usual the staff and meal was as I expected this place has never let me down . Would recommend to couples and families as there is a indoor area for kids and an outdoor area for them when warmer weather is here ..a+ unfortunately never took any photos but you will be surprised

Regularly visit this establishment for meals, and can honestly say that its a very welcoming place The staff are very friendly, and accommodating. The menu has a wide choice, of meals that are very well presented by the chefs. I would highly recommend that people visit and enjoy the hospitality.

I don't live locally but love this restaurant. Whenever I visit the area, I eat here three or four times with friends and family. We all enjoy the experience. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff.

Always a friendly atmosphere, quick bar service, usual wait time for cooked meals but worth waiting for, still never had a bad meal since it opened. Can get busy but that's a good sign, pick less busy times, 4-8 weekdays is looking good with a quid off a beer!

Well we came regular for meals but we came tonight because it was my birthday it wasn’t busy with the snow being down and around wasn’t many in lady did say that there was a 40 min wait 55 minutes later food arrived peas was cold chips was cold fish was greasy but hot my husbands meal was the same says main meal and cake for birthday no not any more just a main meal don’t think we will be calling for quite a while not very good any more

We had Christmas Day lunch at Reeds hotel at Pastures Lodge. The only negative was the bar service, no beer on draft and very limited availability on drinks, basically if you didn’t drink lager then it was cans out of the fridge ! However, the dinner was excellent, lovely food, hot and served well. Only 1 recommendation would be not to leave it so long between each course. Me and my family had a very enjoyable Christmas dinner, Thankyou to all staff at Reeds

Visited the pastures today myself, wife and son waited over 30 minutes for something that had been waiting to be served a good 10 minutes, cold chips(under cooked) and wedges x 2 and dried chicken no garnish and quite small plates,we would of complained but my son was that hungry he'd eaten the majority of his wedges before I'd realised how cold the wedges were ,was not to happy for a nearly £40 meal.

Arrived at Pastures Lodge at 1.45 ..... all 7 of us excited at our first time out for Christmas lunch...... what a joke it turned out to be.... we were seated by 2pm and our starter didn't arrive at our table till 3pm....that should have been a sign of things to come!!!!! At 4.30 when we had all lost the will to live....and looking around it seemed a lot of other people were feeling the same way as us......I went to find a manager to ask when we would actually be getting our main meal to which I was told there were 8 other tables in front of us before we would get ours........ when I went back to my family to tell them it would be at least another hour before we would get any food..... looking at them I realised we couldn't wait any longer as it was beyond a joke and was not worth the wait anymore....... we received a full refund...... and went home..... to a home made chicken burger..... NOT the Christmas lunch we had all been looking forward to...... it has totally ruined our Christmas Day and I would not go there now at any time of the year.... I wish we had just had dinner at home!!!!!

Can't remember giving such a low score on a restaurant before but the service was beyond a joke. We were there for more than two hours and only received our starters out of a three course meal. Ruined Christmas day for us with 5 very disappointed and hungry children we got our money back.

Pastures Lodge Christmas Day Lunch booked for 2pm, what a mess. Will not be going back again took 3/4 of an hour to get our starter. Got the main at 4.30 and mine wasn't even cooked. Took it back complaint was ignored and so was getting a replacement. We walked out at 5pm after eating only our starter. We did manage to get a dessert but took as takeaway.

Room 23 I was in was nice n clean but pillows were lumpy..need new pillows..simmons beautycrest pillows would be good..other hotels use these..over 2 hours to give out 2 course meal was way too long so need more staff to serve food..breakfast was ok..enough choice..location was ok but not near any shops to have a walk around..albeit I would stay again.

Hotel is very nice, easy fast and efficient check in. Had a meal over the road and despite it being busy the food arrived quickly. It was hot, tasty and good value for money. Special thanks to waitress Alex, who did a really great job, a credit to the company.

The starters took over an hour to come out to our table. The mains were very slow. The deserts were that slow we asked for our money back as didn't want them due to waiting 30 mins. The mixed grill wasn't nice all the meat was chewy. The kiddies meal didn't come with a drink or dessert, these were bought separately. Overall will not be returning, as the wait is too long, and it wasn't busy and for the price the quality of food was definitely not worth it.

We had our annual family meal on Saturday night.....our table was in the large back room which was cold and we were the only dinner party in there so we wasn't part of the atmosphere like the rest of the restaurant, we had pensioners in our group that felt the cold so it wasn't ideal.....we all pretty much ordered our food at the same time but 4 members of our party was left waiting an hour and half before they got there meals which by that time everyone else had finished theirs. My meal when it arrived was disgusting.....I ordered a rump steak, it came like it had been steam rollered it was insipid in colour like it had been boiled rather than fried or flame grilled and had no taste at all also adding it was served cold. The staff were pretty good to be honest but whoever runs the kitchen needs replacing because the food that was served there were only 2 meals that were barely acceptable out of 10........can't fault the bar staff they did a great job but your food and food service is the worst I've ever experienced and I'm sorry to say I will never set foot in this establishment again.........ps I hope your fine dining restaurant gives customers a better experience because you're pub grub is absolutely gross.
