Here at wetherspoons mallard was charged £3.30 for a pint of coke at 11am todsy Thursday 16th January 2025 is this right price for a pint of coke with ice £3.30 Would like a refund a breakfast is £2.99 here at the mallard why is a pint of coke £3.30.

Great pub, great staff, lovely choice of alcohol.

Above standard spoons had a breakfast before races. Came out super quick and hot. Did the trick for a day at the races would go back next time.

The food was absolutely terrible and will not eat again me and my boyfriend both had a mixed grill and we both agreed it wasn't good cooked quality food and it was my birthday too disgusted

It's wetherspoons, cheap and cheerful. £0.99 a pint and £100 win on bandit. Happy days 😁

Went Saturday afternoon, very busy and got the last table, didn't have food. Drinks and service great

Right where to begin , arrived no pizzas , no paninis , no ice cream for desserts it’s a shock they even had the chairs to sit on. The flubber custard I was served was down right diabolical, I don’t think the worlds best alchemists could have created such a non Newtonian fluid. Looked like rubber was not runny very clearly not Devon custard. Service was impeccable and was apologized profusely over lack of my main and dessert however Tim Martin you have really fell short with the stock

Excellent place, staff very attentive (even told us when barrel was about to be changed so drinks would be a little slower), good food and exceptional value - well done, and toilets clean, a perfect example of a well run Wetherspoons.

Was busy and slow to clear tables. Table service was quick considering how busy they were. Chicken wraps and side salad were fine.

Siempre he disfrutado visitando esta casa pública, pero tuve un intercambio muy desagradable con un miembro mayor del personal el 5 de septiembre de 2024, que me acusó de ignorar dos advertencias sobre el uso de la salida de incendios y amenazó agresivamente con prohibirme. Si recibía estas dos supuestas advertencias previas, los demás miembros del personal que las desplegaron debieron haberlas susurrado muy silenciosamente, desde una distancia sustancial, ya que ni las vi ni las escuché. Admito que tuve mis auriculares puestos la mayor parte de la tarde, pero no habría sido remotamente difícil captar mi atención, ya que inmediatamente la recibieron cuando quisieron discutir un asunto diferente conmigo, y tuve mucha camaradería de corazón ligero con otro miembro del personal. Si hubiera sabido de antemano que no debía usar esta puerta lateral, que estaba ubicada muy cerca de una serie de mesas y sillas, no lo habría hecho. Creo que el miembro del personal en cuestión pudo haber estado en algo así como un "viaje de poder", y realmente puso una decepción en lo que por lo demás había sido una tarde muy agradable. El término «trabajo» parece ciertamente apropiado. Me molesta absolutamente la forma en que me hablaron, y siento que este comportamiento simplemente no puede quedar impune. Este fue uno de los ejemplos más impactantes de atención al cliente que he encontrado. Le expliqué que tal vez no había escuchado las supuestas advertencias porque estaba usando mis auriculares, pero parece que ella no estaba interesada en escuchar mi razonamiento a pesar del hecho de que era claramente un error honesto, y continuó dirigiéndose a mí como si yo fuera algo en lo que había intervenido y como si ella fuera la única propietaria del lugar y yo fuera un individuo completamente inútil. He trabajado en muchos bares en el pasado y no soñaría con hablar con un cliente de la manera que ella optó. No soy una persona especialmente vengativa, pero quizás una pequeña multa o sanción similar pueda ser la fuerza necesaria para mejorar sus habilidades sociales y de atención al cliente en el futuro, por el bien común. Esto no era manera de que un miembro del personal hablara con los clientes que pagan sus salarios y no han hecho nada malo a sabiendas. Me molesta que me traten como a un delincuente y me enfurece la forma en que se dirigió a mí. Por lo tanto, he presentado una denuncia, de la que le informé a mi salida del lugar. Muchos establecimientos tienen salidas contra incendios que conducen a áreas públicas, y no tenía razón para pensar que no se me permitía usar esta. Siempre he tenido una buena experiencia en este establecimiento y en varias Wetherspoons en todo el país, pero siento que su tono condescendiente y clientelar estaba muy fuera de sintonía con el buen servicio al cliente que siempre he recibido de la marca. Una disculpa sería muy apreciada.

Spacious Spoons in the central shopping area, 5mins walk from the station. Found service quick, friendly and efficient on my visit.

Excellent value, always the cheapest pub, an you get same , probably better than other pubs. Perfect if you want to go out for a chat. Just remember your hiking boots for the toilets lol

A modern Wetherspoons in the lively town of Doncaster. Good breakfast and no problem to try before you buy regarding the real ales. There was a lary customer shouting at the bar staff, but the older female bartender handled the situation well.

A peaceful environment in Doncaster

Con unos minutos de sobra antes del corte del mediodía, puse en mi pedido una versión más pequeña de mi favorito de la mañana, el poderoso desayuno vegano; dos salchichas Quorn, dos hachís morenos, hongos, tomate, judías horneadas, tostadas y productos lácteos para untar. Todo estaba caliente, lo que hace un cambio ya que los frijoles y los hongos a veces son tibios. El personal era amable y agradable y fue agradable para obtener un “está todo bien con su comida?” consulta. Parece que el pub está bien apoyado por los lugareños, ya que escuché a un par de clientes siendo recibidos por su nombre por los miembros alegres del equipo, lo que se sumó al ambiente amistoso en general. Orgullosamente se muestran en las paredes fotografías enmarcadas e información sobre las locomotoras Mallard y Flying Scotsman, ganadoras de récords, que fueron construidas en Doncaster Works.

We have been to plenty of weather spoons,but today we called in here,as we was hungry..the food was amazing it was piping hot,fresh what ever they are doing keep going even the server's was so polite and friendly,we was table 47,,, well recommended,thank you to all the staff and chef

Food, for the price and prompt service, is fine. What is so nice is that there is still an atmosphere. People go here just to go here and enjoy a drink, a laugh and being in each other's company.

RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL STAFF WHO MESS UP YOUR ORDER The overweight brown haired barmaid messed our order up and put down a cheeseburger instead of a burger. No receipt was given to my partner. The waitress with brown hair came out and refused to swap the cheeseburger. My partner went to the bar and the bar staff were very aggressive and ganged up on my partner. He had to buy another meal as they refused to refund or exchange the wrong burger. I had to speak to the manager as he came over and I said I just want the 2 other meals that we had paid for as my partner had eaten his meal. The manager was as bad as the bar staff and stuck up for them. The manager came over later and said do you know you can order from the app. I said well the issue was there was no receipt which should have been given and might use the app so the order would be correct - I said this just to get rid of him as I felt he was gloating and gaslighting us. Why should we use an app, not all of us want to pay by card for everything and it is as though he is putting the blame on us for not using the app than the staff incompetence. When my meal finally came out the burger was black and burnt. I did not complain as they don't care and won't sort the issue. A member of staff pushed open the fire doors just to get everyone out of the building for a few minutes. Apparently customers said they did this the week before. Terrible 'customer service', that is why the staff can't get a job elsewhere. Having to pay for 3 meals instead of 2 left us out of pocket. We could have gone to Brewers Fayre or Beefeater for the same price and be treated with respect and a good service. It is rough as there is a bouncer on the door in the afternoon. I won't be going back to this pub if scumbags are just going to serve you and keep your money for their mess up.

It is a great value pub in the middle of town. A good selection of food and beer.

Good quality equipment could do with a sauna would pay more if did. But still very good for the money

Great customer service and food.

All was well until the bartender raised eye brows at us for ordering a vodka neat. I don't come out to have my drink choices judged. Other than that it was what you expect from a wetherspoons

It was okay, we were a big party and service was okay.

A very handy Wetherspoons right in the heart of Doncaster and it fits the standard format of 'Spoons to the letter. This one is absolutely fine and a nice spot to refill and recharge. I won't lie, we only dashed in for a quick coffee and so can't really comment on any other aspect of the pub. It was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and we would have quite happily stopped longer. We'll certainly be back next time we're in Doncaster.

I did here this pub was closing down before Christmas but is still open a lot of people will miss it if it dose close down

Great prices on food and drink. Their were a few rowdy individuals the last time I was in. The manager did have a word with them though.

Nice little branch of the wetherspoons chain of pubs, cheap and more than cheerful, I never had food but expect it would be the same fare served by other wetherspoons ie cheap and decent enough pub grub, service was good although there were only two bar staff they were quick even though at one time they had a massive line at the bar, I never waited more than 4-5 minutes before getting served.

Nicely tucked away pub. Nice atmosphere and clean and tidy. The staff were prompt and polite. Drinks as you'd expect in wetherspoons were great value. Ordered on app to table, which was quick and seamless. Overall, it was a great experience.

Been to this spoons several times. Found the staff friendly and helpful. There are dart boards to play on. You ask at the bar for the darts.

Light late breakfast. Good value. This was my first visit and I used Google to locate it. Google tried sending me to two other establishments first.. both turned out not to be Wetherspoons.! So this one wasn't easy to find. But it's as good as any that I've been in. Service was excellent.

Is what it is. Cheap & cheerful. Handy for a quick bite to eat and a drink.

Stayed in Doncaster for 5 Nights between Christmas and New Year 2023/24 and used The Gate House for Breakfast 3 Mornings and always found the place very clean, staff friendly and efficient service. Would highly recommend, food was better than I'd expected as well. I was impressed by both of the Wetherspoons Bars in Doncaster.

This was one of the nicer Wetherspoons experiences I have endured. The service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful particularly one gentlemen working last Friday night who's customer service was top shelf. The drinks and food came in reasonable time and it was busy. We even got asked if our food was okay, which is rare in Wetherspoons.

Had a small breakfast, And a few pints first thing in the morning. Service was good. Food was good. And the drinks went down a treat.

A nice, if somewhat small selection of handpulled beers, a little cheaper than even the usual Wetherspoons price. A single room, large compared to many pubs although smaller than a typical 'spoons pub. Outside seating, on the pedestrianised area between the High St and Printing Office St.

Bought peas for £9 and was told I couldn't have them. Then when asking for refund or my money back I was told no and I shouldn't have ordered peas. Pretty sure its illegal to just take my money... I am not very peased with the situation

Here for lunch, it is very clean for wetherspoons, service was was good as was the food /drink . Toilets clean and staff very friendly. What more do you want? I always find the northern wetherspoons cleaner and friendly.
