We had the most fabulous lunch at pasture and our waiter Glen was amazing, he was so enthusiastic and advised us with wine and menu choices. The food was absolutely delicious, steak perfectly cooked with great sauces. The beef croquettes a must so were the padron peppers, the best we’ve had!

The squid ink and pork belly for starters was delicious We all had different types of steaks, all cooked as ordered with great flavours. A really nice atmosphere and good service. Will definitely be retuning. It’s worth booking in advance, it was full on a Wednesday evening.

Came for my husband’s birthday and everything was perfect. The staff were really accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience. Food was also phenomenal! Thoroughly recommend!

Absolutely love this place. Had short rib croquettes to start...... Amazing. A friends fire roasted padron peppers equally as good. Melt in the mouth chateaubriand next. Didn't need any cutting as the knife just glided through it. Great sides too. Then a nice little birthday surprise after! And the service top notch too, so attentive, friendly and funny! We'll definitely be back for more!

Credit where credit is due, the best steak restaurant in Bristol. Visited with my brothers recently and have been quite a few times now. Every meal has been unbelievably amazing, steak always cooked to perfection! I’m not surprised this place is rated five star. Chateaubriand is personally my favourite. Trust the majority of great reviews on here and don’t listen to the negatives as there isn’t a single negative. Just make sure you book in advance as they are booked up on weekends etc for obvious reasons, the high demand

This was an amazing experience in Bristol for me and my husband. My husband loved his steak and I loved the beetroot tartare. The cocktails were amazing as well. My fish was a bit salty to taste but still very well cooked. Overall, you can enjoy a great date night here. We were so full that couldn't get to the desserts!

Pasture has always met or exceeded my expectations from the food to the staff, I’d always recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Me and my partner came for a Sunday roast as had heard great things about it. I had a fillet whilst my partner had the chicken and we were both very pleased with both bits of meat. We had spinach gratin and cabbage on the coals as sides, along with the usual potatoes and greens. The cabbage was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted, with a strong smoky flavour which paired really well with the roast. The spinach gratin was delicious as well. The only negative for the food was the roast potatoes as they were incredibly hard, to the point I couldn’t cut through them with a steak knife. The service was great and overall it was a very positive experience.

The staff are all very friendly and the venues atmosphere is 5 stars.

We ate here on a Saturday, we hadn't booked (booking in advance is highly recommended!), so we sat in the bar area to eat. The service was excellent, very attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was very good. We had a selection of appetisers, Squid, chicken wings, and croquettes. They were all really tasty. Steaks all round for main course - again excellent. All sides are ordered separately, which I always find difficult to judge in terms of portion sizes, I would say the sides we had could serve 2. We will definitely be returning, remembering to book next time!

The best steak (& sides), brilliant service and a great atmosphere

Possibly the best roast I’ve had in Bristol. The smoked flavour and moisture of every dish was exquisite, as was the atmosphere and the friendly staff. I love the variety of sides we had with a Sunday roast in particular. There is a lot of raw meat visible everywhere, which could have made it feel a bit like a butchers, but I actually think they’ve designed it in a classy way. It feels transparent actually…. especially with the open kitchen upstairs. All in all a great experience. Not joking when I say I’d love to come back and try their veggie dishes 😂

Fantastic meal today as always. The sharer shoulder of lamb was, unbelievably tasty and succulent. The server, James went above and beyond and without request, surprised us with a congratulations plate. The reason for 3 and not 5 stars on the food was that the Yorkshire pudding FAR too over cooked and wasn’t eaten on one of the meals, the other was a little dark but was edible.

A group of 14 went on Monday evening. The venue was busy. The service was great, real attention to detail to ensure correct orders in a busy environment. Steaks were perfect cooked to everyone’s specifications from blue to well done. Great evening

The best steak not just in Bristol…..the best anywhere👍

Had a wonderful meal last night with my husband and our 3 year old. The team were all super friendly and accommodating for our daughter. It’s quite rare to find somewhere to eat with kids that is more ‘up-market’ but Pasture have definitely ticked both boxes for us. The childrens menu is great and the small touches such as smaller cutlery for kids really stood out for us. We had a ribeye and fillet steak, both were cooked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed our sides of fries, new potatoes and spinach gratin. There’s a great drinks selection also and the tiramisu was the perfect way to end.

It all went wrong from when our drinks came to the table. My friends asked for pink gin and lemonade but came out with rhubarb and ginger gin with tonic water. Then when our food came out, that was wrong too. Myself and my friend ordered a medium fillet but it came out medium rare. I was not happy that it came out like that because that's not what we asked for! Understand fillet steaks are small but paying £35 plus £5 for chips is ridiculous for what we had. There was nothing on the side like vegetables. The chips weren't nice either. We could of done better at home cooking a steak and chips. And to top it off my friend has been up all night being sick from food poisoning so we will definitely not be returning to Pasture that's for sure!!!!

Steaks we're tiny no veg chips weren't very nice. Ridiculous price for what you get. I do better at home with lidls steak.

absolutely insane. took bf here for his birthday and both of our expectations were far exceeded!! cocktails were brilliant - intricate but not overly so, and presentation was impeccable. staff knowledge of menu, taking time to help, facilitating birthday celebrations etc etc made the experience so smooth!!! big thank you to all for making our evening so enjoyable! special thank you to ali for being so accommodating over the phone, and to otto and a kind other gentleman who served us! PS. the crispy squid was an otherworldly experience. do yourself a favour and try it!

Food was delicious, had a great time until paying for the bill. There was an "optional" gratuity that was automatically added without consent, I asked to have it removed and was then questioned by the waiter why. I was then told I was "one of those" when standing firm in having the charge removed, I asked what did he mean by "one of those" and it escalated. The waiter was trying to shame me in front of everyone for removing this optional charge, the attitude change and entitlement was astonishing. We had a lovely evening but this left everyone with a sour taste in their mouth. I tip in cash an amount I decide, I do not expect to be shamed or pressured into giving a tip that was added without knowledge, which i wouldn't of known about without reading the receipt. Would not expect this from such an upmarket and expensive establishment.

Absolutely stunning, and the best steak I've ever eaten. The service speed was relaxed which we like, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The open kitchen was brilliant, to have a bit of theatre. The atmosphere was fairly loud but a few drinks in and we didn't mind. A really wonderful evening with friends.

What an experience! I took my partner here for his birthday as a surprise and he absolutely loved it. We love steak and this is hands down the best steak we've ever had. Otto our server was amazing throughout, answering all our questions and providing advice on the best type of steak and how much to order etc. We went for a tomahawk, and this is done by weight. I bought 1kg, which was expensive but worth every penny. We definitely could have gone bigger. The sauces and sides that came with it were excellent. They even brought out a complimentary ice cream with a candle in for my partners birthday which was a lovely additional touch. Our booking time was at 20:30, which is later than we'd usually go, and the restaurant was full, with new bookings still coming in after us. Seeing as we went on a Tuesday evening, you know a restaurant is good if it's fully booked mid week. My only critique is that this restaurant is not local to us!! I cannot wait to come back when we visit Bristol again. Cheers guys for making my partners birthday a special one!

Outstanding from start to finish. We went to Pasture for a celebration and were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was relaxed but upmarket, the attention to detail from the staff was top notch and the food was glorious. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back in the future.

Incredible steak and great service from Otto!

The loaded burgers are juicy, flavorful, and stacked high with toppings.

Snuck in a cheeky reservation on a Monday night. It had been a little while since we'd been to Pasture but the food is just as good as I remember. We started with the short rib croquettes which were so good. The meat was so tender and paired well with the crispy outside. The gochujang aioli it came with was delicious but it could've been sriracha mayo. Personal preference would've been a slightly stronger gochujang taste but it was still a really good flavour pairing with the croquettes. We had the rib eye steak, one rare and one medium rare, with the blue cheese sauce and chimichurri. The steaks were cooked to perfection for both levels and beautifully charred on the outside. We ordered the beef fat chips, the mac and cheese and the kohlrabi som tam. The som tam was honestly a show stealer - fresh, crunchy, limey, herby, such a great contrast to the richness of the steak and mac and cheese. We finished off with the tira-miso which I was a little hesitant about but I needn't have been. It was scrumptious, the miso flavour was barely there but there was a great umami depth to it. The wine we had were great, the servers were lovely. A lovely evening was had! Hopefully it won't be as long until next time we go.

Haven’t been to Pasture for a while and we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Initially the service was great unfortunately I don’t think the food was amazing. Cold meat, very hard vegetables and had to ask for gravy for the sharing lamb. Asked for horseradish but it never materialised. Kids had burger, fish of the day and a sirloin which wasn’t very big. Probably won’t rush back.

I don’t normally bother with reviews, but after our visit to Pasture, I felt I just had to spread the word! Firstly the food. Without doubt the best roast beef experience I have ever had. We went for the 1.2Kg Tomahawk, basically your own rib of beef which comfortably fed all five of us. The meat was cooked to perfection and the vegetables, sides and roast potatoes sublime, topped off by the best chocolate dome brownie/ice cream experience I’ve ever had. And finally the staff. What a pleasure it is to be looked after by genuinely happy, polite and very well informed staff, keen to chat and pass on their knowledge of what is a fabulous company with a great ethos and you have got to see the display of beef joints in the foyer! See attached photo. In summary, a totally worth while experience and happy to pay what I consider to be great value for such a complete overall experience.

This restaurant is great. Everything taste good! The dish beef carpaccio recommended by waitress Jemima is the best! My parents and l love it! The service provided by Jemima is excellent. It really enhanc my dining experience.

Our second time at Pasture. We were celebrating my birthday and had a wonderful time. Incredible food - we didn't realise the à la carte menu would be available on a Sunday and were really pleased it was - and wine. My kids had delicious burgers from the kids' menu. The service from Andreas was second to none.

Good Vibe, But Disappointing Steaks This steakhouse has an undeniably cool vibe, with a stylish interior and a great atmosphere. One of the highlights of the experience was the open fire cooking, which added to the ambiance and made the place feel special. Unfortunately, our meal didn’t live up to the 5-star reviews we’d seen. All three of our steaks were overdone, and my ribeye was actually burnt on one side—a real disappointment, especially since I’d ordered it medium rare. The burnt side not only ruined the texture but completely overpowered the flavor. To be fair, we should have raised this issue at the time, but it still left us feeling let down. The service was decent—friendly and efficient—but not outstanding enough to redeem the meal. Overall, while the vibe of the place is fantastic, the food didn’t meet the high expectations we had based on other reviews. I’d consider giving it another chance, but for a steakhouse, getting the steaks right is crucial.

We visited in November for my Daughter's birthday. We loved everything about Pasture, the most amazing steak and delicious sides. The cabbage side is a must, mushrooms, mac and cheese all delivering on flavour! The service was excellent, we are looking forward to returning soon!

When there are many people, the food service is very slow and you have to wait for more than an hour. Any steak you order is delicious.

We decided to treat ourselves after a visit to a hospital consultant! We called into the restaurant on the off chance of a table for two being available and our luck was in! We were served by the most lovely lady "Ellen" who patiently explained everything to us with nothing being too much trouble. Manager James helped me select from the separate "allergy" menu, food suitable for coeliacs. The meal was the best we have had, the steak was tender and sooo tasty with their equally delicious sides. We drank alcohol free drinks and didn't miss it at all! Both Ellen and James checked in during our meal and were so lovely and such good fun, they really are a credit to Pasture. Thank you for cheering us up 🥰

Best steak ever! Also loved the dessert (chocolate dome)and starter (beetroot tartare). Sightly too noisy during dinner time but the food was just amazing.

We had a great Saturday lunch celebrating my professional chartership. The food was amazing especially the crab toast with tom yum bisque and the chateaubriand. The service from Chris and Dean is excellent. Will definitely come back again!

The ribeye and fillet steaks were yummy but the vegan roasted carrots side dish was unbelievable. I'd defo recommend ordering the more unique side dishes here with your steak rather than just chips.

We had lunch at pasture one week ago. Everything was excellent as usual We had the chateaubriand sharing for 4 It absolutely melted in your mouth. The bestest steak house ever. No were else like it. We had a great afternoon.Thank you. Will be back.

My favourite restaurant, always a beautiful roast dinner, we normally have the sharing chateaubriand which is amazing, I would really recommend if you’re visiting Bristol and want something special.

The food is amazing - I’m vegetarian and still go because the veggie dishes are incredible. I’m shocked and glad that a steak restaurant didn’t leave out their magic on the vegetarian menu! The service is amazing, the staff are really attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is ok but to be honest we always have a brilliant time when we dine here because the food is just insane.

Really a good place. Good food.. steaks are really good. Restaurant itself is very nice and clean. Good location with loads of street parking around. Highly recommended this place.

We recently came to Pasture to experience their festive set menu for Christmas which was 3 courses for £55pp. All the courses were incredible as per usual, delicious flavours. The only thing I would score this down on was the speed of service. As soon as we sat down we were given our starter and then as soon as it was taken away the main came out and so fourth. As much as I appreciate the speedy service it was a little too rushed and felt like they wanted us up and out as quickly as possible rather than taking the time to serve us and make sure we had a good experience. Pasture will always be a firm favourite but I don’t think I would return again for a set menu.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. However, it took a long time for us to get our food. Ordered a medium rare steak but it was more on the well done side, so it was a bit tough to eat.

An amazing Sunday lunch. One of the best we have had. The beef was cooked perfectly. They put a lot of effort and flavour into their side dishes too. The cabbage and cheeky leeks were unreal!!

I've always had good things to say about pasture, and I still won't take it away from them their food is amazing but was on for a rather great experience with a 3 course set meal that was perfectly cooked was then ruined by the server when it came to pay the bill after our grand total being nearly £300 for 4 of us plus a service charge of £30 which we paid and was happy to the server returned and said that we 13 pence short yes 13 pence the audacity to asked when she's received a nearly £30 tip has left a rather Sour taste in my mouth but after giving her a pound coing the server disappeared with my change from said pound coin 🤣🤣absolute disgrace

Everything was exceptional. From booking process and events team to actual visit of the restaurant. Extremely busy restaurant but there was not one single mistake for our pre order or no rush with the food. All dishes arrived in perfectly timely manner and were cooked to perfection.There was 9 of us and every one had an amazing evening. All the team was great, but special mention to Ellie, our main server. Such an excellent person to serve us! Always there when needed, topping our wine and water. Would recommend to all my friends and can’t wait to visit again!

I didn't have a chance to eat there, just had a cup of coffee. However, the strongest smell of air freshener was so annoying... Was happy to go out as soon as possible. Updated. Our table was near the toilets, so it's definitely air freshener, not somebody's perfume. Thanks for your reply though.

Its was ok, i found the steak tomahawk to fatty, the one i got from tesco was better, bit over priced

Food is excellent but the attitude is something left to be desired. Also when did pasture start chasing you on text message during a weekday / working day 3 hours apart telling you that if you don't respond they will cancel your booking! Such a shame because myself and my wife have been here like 5 times and was due to come again this week. I guess I'll keep my 200 quid and give it to a local restaurant. Isn't my online booking enough for you that you have to chase on text message? Who does this?

Lovely beef roast for Sunday lunch. We hadn’t booked, but they set us up in the bar area, which I think I preferred as it was really comfy… staff were super attentive and the food came really fast and was delicious. The raspberry and pistachio espresso martini was a nice way to finish it all off.

The food was delicious and the meat cooked exactly to everyone’s liking (even fussy me, who likes it well done.) all of the staff weee an absolute delight. But have to say Megan was a real sweetheart. Thank you all for a memorable and laid back yet quality Sunday lunch.

Nothing could have made it better, everything was fantastic, food, drinks, staff and the atmosphere. This was our third visit and it was as good as ever. We had the four course Christmas menu and it was all delicious.
