Came here to celebrate my partners 60th with friends. Probably one of the best meals to have out in Bristol. I was amazed as to the flavour of the steak and even raved how tasty the starters and sides were as well. Everyone was attentive and friendly and was given a quick tour round the restaurant. And as the server overheard it was my partners 60th they brought out a little celebration dessert for him which was brilliant. Much appreciated and very embarrassing for him hehehe.

Incredible restaurant and definitely worth visiting. It’s by far the best food in Bristol and the atmosphere is fantastic.

I dined here on Monday for my second visit. My first experience was excellent—no complaints at all. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to that standard. I was seated by the stairs at one of the high tables. While I didn’t mind the location, the lighting was quite dim, which made reading the menu difficult—especially for older eyes. Luckily, I already knew what I wanted. Order: Mussels, rump steak with a side of truffle fries and blue cheese sauce, a pint, and a bottle of sparkling water. I placed the order promptly with one of the team members. That’s when things started to go downhill. All the food arrived at once. The server accidentally dropped the lid from the mussels, splashing sauce onto my shoes—something I didn’t notice right away due to the low lighting. The steak wasn’t rump, was served cold, and was cooked blue—not how I ordered it. It also came with chimichurri dressing, which made me suspect I’d been given someone else’s rejected fillet steak. The blue cheese sauce arrived only after I complained. When I raised my concerns with another server, they brushed it off and said they’d remove the beer from the bill. At that point, I felt dismissed and unheard, and I lost interest in the rest of the meal. On the positive side, the fries were good, and the mussels tasted fine. But overall, I wouldn’t rush back.

Excellent meats and service. Environment, could be better. But for the meats alone, it's worth it. Of course, 10% tips without informing you, doesn't sound good!

We chose Pasture for my boyfriend’s birthday meal on the weekend and we were far from disappointed. The service was brilliant, we were served by Jemima and she was so accommodating to all of our requests. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed and we felt very comfortable throughout. We started with some amazing cocktails, shortly followed by a selection of small plates / starters, each of which were delicious - my boyfriend particularly loved the mussels. We were even given a complimentary ice cream for him which was a nice touch. We highly recommend Pasture and would definitely come back!

My husband and I love Pasture! if you can manage to find a reservation, do it! great steaks and starters, such a lovely place for a date night!

Best meat based dish I've had by far. Had the lamb shoulder and it was amazing. Tasted so good. Need to go back there! The cost for what you get is reasonable too.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday celebration as we had heard great things about Pasture. So many things weren’t great, really slow service, we had no food for more than an hour and were starving, our nibbles that we ordered came after our starters. Our table was booked for 7.45pm and we didn’t get our mains until 10pm, it was a Thursday night so far too late to be eating. The starters were delicious, but the mains weren’t anything special, and the chips were disappointing. The furniture is a bit tatty now too. Considering it’s been the hardest place for me to ever get a booking for, I was disappointed. The waiters were lovely though, and gave us our first drinks off as an apology, and a free Happy Birthday ice cream. Sadly our evening was already ruined, there’s nothing worse than being hangry in a noisy busy restaurant. We asked the waiter why there had been such a long wait and apparently there had been lots of new chefs starting. Maybe we got unlucky, but a waste of a special night and money, I wish I had booked somewhere else.

Having found another restaurant unexpectedly closed we randomly walked in to Pasture early evening on a bank holiday without a reservation along with our 10 & 11yo kids, not wanting a steak and with not much time before catching a train, Not the most relaxing or promising circumstances, but we were welcomed in to comfy seating in the bar area and had an exceptional experience. Top notch food at remarkably reasonable prices. The kids menu, starters and sides are especially bargains - full of quality, flavour, perfectly cooked and presented. Great service too. How refreshing to be able to write this at such a challenging time for many catering businesses.

I had heard friends say how much they enjoyed their experience at Pasture. I've got to say it didn't disappoint, one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. The Croquettes starter is a must. But I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Also the service we had was top, welcoming, informative we couldn't of ask for better. You do have to pay decent money, but definitely worth it! Thank you Pasture 🙌🏻👌🏼

Eaten here a few times now and whilst nice there is something not quite right with the seasoning on the food; SALT - yes simply too much salt taking away some of the enjoyment for me and other members of my family.

May 19, 2025 Medium rare ribeye with creamy blue cheese sauce. Ribeye is delicious when medium rare (I would not recommend anything more than medium rare for ribeye), and it goes very well with the sauce.

Our waiter was rude and seemed to be in a hurry! We were a table of 5 I asked when the 2 drinks came could we place our orders please He just went to other tables ! Food was delicious table booked 12.15 food ordered 15 mins food arrived 13.20

As a regular customer of Pasture, I’ve generally had great experiences—but unfortunately, this visit to the Bristol location was a letdown. The service was noticeably slow from the start. Starters took 30–45 minutes to arrive, and when the mains finally came, they were barely warm. Not what I expect from a restaurant in this price range. On top of that, the air-conditioning was blasting, making the dining environment uncomfortably cold. It’s not the first time I’ve had issues at the Bristol branch, and sadly, it may be my last visit. For the premium pricing, subpar food and service just isn’t acceptable.

Had a lovely meal today at pasture. Even though they were fully booked they let us sit at the bar and order food. Roast beef was tender and melted in the mouth. The burger was one of the nicest iv tasted. Gorgeous flavour and very juicy. Would defo recommend and will be back if I'm ever down this way again

Amazing, very attentive service. Food is out of this world good, and the atmosphere matches it all perfectly. The smoky aroma of the charcoals really adds to the feel of the steakhouse. And the cocktails! Oh my God the cocktails. 10000/10 ⭐️

Had dinner here this evening must say the service was excellent from the table staff to the chef’s who were happy to explain cooking techniques and meat cuts .The food was delicious from the various starlters we shared (mussel were to die for) to the mains . My son and I shared a large porterhouse it was epic in taste and flavour the sauces also amazing but maybe not needed as the meat was exceptional.

Steak could of been a little better quality it's my first time coming ill definitely be coming back to see if it was a one off staff and service was great

First time here. Greeted by someone on a trial shift who was very nice, then after being seated, I was served by James who was great, very personable and knowledgeable on his beers. Food arrived, the chips were great along with the whiskey teriyaki sauce. The steak I ordered medium-rare was more medium-well. Personally, I'm not too picky, but at their prices, I wanted it right. I raised it to James who was more than happy to sort it. Cue about five or so serving staff who appeared individually to sort the food and check up on me to make sure everything was fine. The replacement steak had arrived in minutes with new chips and sauce. Absolutely great service from everyone. Not normally a fan of discretionary service charges but they deserved the tip. Thanks guys :)

Their Sunday roast is absolutely insane - I couldn’t ask for anything better. Totally and utterly worth the wait for a table booking. Meat cooked to perfection, veg cooked to perfection. Service incredible. They’ve absolutely nailed this. Well done guys! (Also worth noting that their weekday menu and service are spot on too)

Amazing place with exceptional service. The manager came over to talk through all the options for food allergies providing 3 different menus to cater to the severity of the allergy. We had the roast and the fire-cooked meat was delicious, if we went for the steak then they would talk us through each option to help with our decision.

Visitamos por el cumpleaños de mi esposa y nos recibieron con una bienvenida amable y el camarero nos dio la bienvenida y nos explicó cómo funcionaba todo con los cortes de racha disponibles, tomó pedidos de bebidas, las bebidas eran muy buenas y los filetes se pidieron junto con pedidos secundarios. La comida llegó después de 15 minutos más o menos y era excelente. Nuestros filetes estaban perfectamente cocinados y recomendaría una col en los carbones a cualquiera. Mi esposa tenía un postre de chocolate bomba y llegó con un mensaje de Feliz Cumpleaños del restaurante que fue un buen toque. Gracias.

Came around 1pm on Sunday hoping to get a roast, but we were not given any Sunday menu (maybe they only do dinner?) We picked a sharing T bone steak instead. The meat was of high quality, but the portion wasn’t that big at all (and it only comes with a small portion of chips more suited for one person) so didn’t feel worth the money. Staff is nice and friendly.

El sabor en el exterior de la carne de res, así como en el interior era delicioso. Las verduras estaban preciosas y bien cocinadas. El único problema era que los tallos eran bastante largos y algunas partes inmasticables. Pero no arruinó mi cena. Nos gustó mucho.

Always delivers such a fantastic place toEat. Steak is incredible, drinks are delightful, sides are immense (hispi cabbage and pardon peppers a real highlight. Antonio and the staff looked after us superbly. Will 100% be back soon and couldn’t recommend highly enough

We had a lovely birthday meal here midweek. Theo our waiter was great & the steaks were the best we’ve had in a very long while! Would highly recommend. Enjoyed some cocktails and a great Malbec too. Was especially good to be seated near the kitchen & see the great work done by the chefs. My only comment would be it’s quite loud, but I think that’s just all part of the atmosphere.

Stumbled across Pasture by chance last weekend during a family trip to Bristol. What an amazing experience from start to finish- the food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the service by all staff was excellent. But a special shout out to our main server Jess! A huge credit to the company. You could tell all the staff enjoyed working there. Jess was extremely knowledgable about every aspect of the menu- including the wine pairing. We will definitely be returning and have already recommended this place to quite a few other people. My partner is a chef himself, trained in classic cooking and fine dining. He said that the food was Michelin star standard! The menu is very well priced for the quality of the food and level of service. Cannot fault this place at all. Incredible!

A fantastic service, I have severe allergies and Chris along with the chef ensured my meal was completely free of my allergen without compromising the quality and flavour of my meal.The team went above and beyond to make me feel safe and extremely well cared for which due to my allergies is a massive plus from me. An exceptional lunch. The service was outstanding. Jemima is quite possibly the best server I’ve ever encountered, she was knowledgeable and helpful and an all round delight. We thought it was a one off with having someone as wonderful as her but then we met Miriam as we’d decided to have a drink outside and she was an absolute treasure. These two are an absolute asset to your team and it was because of their exceptional service we’ve booked to return again in June.

Driven over 2hours from Aldershot Hampshire to try this place, Recommended by my brothers Fiancee, For my brothers 33birthday today… I am a bit of a restaurantier in my own unique way, And the experience at the pasture Bristol Did not dissapoint… From the Service mannerisms, to the food on the plate… was topNotch… Ambience and atmosphere of the place was very calming… Prices of the menu, was on the Mid to higher end of the spectrum.. But for me personally the Quality of the products you get on the plates and Sides and Sauces and Service by staff beats franchise chains such as Miller and Carters, harvesters, beef Eaters by a few Stratosphere ahead.. That fire would coal taste was fickin awesome, The Marbling Fats surrounding the meats wasnt shy to shine in its all fatty melt in your mouth glory perfectly complimenting the meaty protein that also wasnt chewy in any way shape or form… I ordered the Sirloin 200g, medium Rare But the rest ordered Ribeyes 300g to their likings… We shared each others steaks… Deffo worth the money.. The bread and olives were amazing aswell.. And the salted butter that came with it was fantastik…. I will be back again to this establishment in the future, even if just for ordering the fattiest marbliest Ribeye medium i can get for my poundsterlings😎😎👌👌 Thank you for bringing back the good old proper steakhouse… Definately a slowly extinction dying breed and a dinosaur find In these strange economical times… Thank you thank you once again.. VERY overpriced. A group of about 10 of us went and unfortunately I have to day it is very overrated. We had to place our food order a week before, which is understandable due to the size of our party. They had an a la carte menu and a set menu. They advised we all had to order off the same menu which was annoying as 2 of us wanted the a la carte. Ilthe starters came quickly but then about an hour and a half after the mains were brought out. One of us ordered the steak which was ridiculously tiny. I had the chicken which wasnt great. The taste of everything was mediocre and I tried a bit of a few people's meals in our group. I don't think I'd bother again as it was also extremely expensive & not the best food. However the cocktails were delicious and the staff were friendly

we had a lovely steak dinner, food was great but what really topped the whole meal off, was the service, our waiter - sam, so amazing, he sat down and talked us through the menu, explained everything was so patient and very friendly. We asked for no bacon on our mac and cheese and he ensured there would be no cross contamination with any sort of pork with our food which was genuinely so thoughtful, he’s given us the best experience we have ever had in a diner especially bristol and deserves a blooming promotion or something!

Had a fabulous meal for my partners birthday. The beef croquettes were delicious. We shared the chateaubriand and it was worth every penny. The mixed Som Tam vegetables are a must have! Very bright and zesty flavours that help to cut through the richness of the meat (it does have a little zing of spice, which I enjoyed). Our server was brilliant and attentive and just overall lovely!

I have been to pasture a few times now and the food is always incredible. This time I have to write a review because the service we received was above and beyond my expectations. Our server Antonio was very friendly and ensures that we had a lovely time. After my girlfriend spilt her wine by accident they immediately showed up with a new glass that they didn’t charge for. And for the briefest mention of it being our anniversary they brought us a free desert with the words happy anniversary written on the plate. Pasture is probably the best restaurant in Bristol and I cannot recommend it enough.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We came here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it was everything we hoped for and more. As a true steak connoisseur, I was seriously impressed - my blue Côte de Boeuf was cooked to perfection and not questioned once, which is a rare treat! The service was impeccable, and the complimentary champagne was such a thoughtful touch. A top-tier experience all round - if you love steak, this place is a must.

Only the cocktails and the meat is good, the rest is average and could be the same ordered in any other nearby pub. The price is too high for this place.

My absolutely favourite place for tomahawk steak. Also the first time and place ever tried mac’n’cheese from and I love it. Great wine selection, professional and kind staff. Basically a 10/10

Food overpriced and steak was not as nice as expected ,had a sharing steak between 4 adults .If I went again I would get individual steaks. Pricey side orders .

Every part about this place is spot on. The building, ambience was great. The staff were highly attentive and knowledgeable - the explanation and showing of the different cuts of meat was a nice touch and the food was perfect. We don’t live in Bristol, but if we did, we’d certainly be visiting this place again.

Our servers were wonderful! They were all super friendly and knowledgeable! Made me as a coeliac very comfortable knowing they took allergies seriously. The food was incredible and we loved our surprise anniversary desert! Thank you!

Ordered a medium tomahawk and it turned up well done. Disappointed, especially with the steak not been cheap. Then when I told the waiter she replied yeh it looks quiet well done. Won’t be going again.

Simply one of the best experiences I have had in a restaurant.

Food and service are exceptional. The steak is delicious and cooked perfectly, waiters are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The downside is that the restaurant is incredibly noisy, you will struggle to hear people next to you or across the table. I have some hearing problems and don’t enjoy noisy environments, so it was a real struggle and would genuinely put me off returning.

The staff were amazing. The manager and our server put so much care into meeting the needs of one of our party with multiple food intolerances while also ensuring the other two of us weren't limited in our choices. Our server was superb and made each of us in the party feel when he was speaking to us as though we were the only person in the room.

One of the best steak restaurants we have ever been to, and we can’t believe it’s right here in Bristol. Meat eater’s heaven and the theatre of the fires really adds to the atmosphere. Delicious sides and drinks too. We go back again and again. Must-have sides are the ‘cabbage in the coals’ and the ‘fire roasted sugar snaps’.

Best steak house in the UK. Now that’s a compliment. However I will qualify it by saying it’s reasonably priced for what you get. The staff are fantastic with a capital F. I had carrots that were to die for. A steak that was amazing and I would recommend having the tomahawk for one if like me your greedy. Wonderful experience and I will be back. Far better than the overpriced London alternatives.

There is a pre bookable single large group table available in the back. We were a group of 12 and had a lovely meal in this room, expertly waited on. It made the visit and occasion really special.

Definitely the best T-bone steak I ever had so far. Cooked exactly how I requested it, incredibly tasty, and top-notch quality. The service was excellent, and even though I didn’t have a booking, we were warmly welcomed and given a table right away. Pricey but so much worth it! Highly recommend!

Pasture is failsafe! Food, cocktails and atmosphere are always 10/10. We’ve been for the roast and also the normal evening menu and are never disappointed. Definitely recommend the short rib croquettes to start, a sharing steak and also the caramel espresso martini off the dessert menu!

We had the most fabulous lunch at pasture and our waiter Glen was amazing, he was so enthusiastic and advised us with wine and menu choices. The food was absolutely delicious, steak perfectly cooked with great sauces. The beef croquettes a must so were the padron peppers, the best we’ve had!

Alex, our server, went through the upmost to make our experience amazing. He answered any questions we had and had great recommendations for us. Alex was very kind to us and attentive. The whole meal was amazing, every dish was perfect, drinks were perfect and could not fault the experience. Highly, highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at pasture, with great service from our waiter who made us feel really special. We had the Porterhouse—two prime steaks to share—beautifully cooked to our preference. The restaurant was packed, and this on a Wednesday—testament to its popularity, so book early!

The dinner was a resounding success for our guests, and the staff were exceptionally attentive. Mary-Jane's service, in particular, was absolutely sublime.

The squid ink and pork belly for starters was delicious We all had different types of steaks, all cooked as ordered with great flavours. A really nice atmosphere and good service. Will definitely be retuning. It’s worth booking in advance, it was full on a Wednesday evening.
