Proper old fashioned pub. Plenty of tellies for sports, reasonable priced booze, very reasonably priced food and staff incredibly friendly.

Great pub - landlord and lady were very welcoming. 6 burgers ordered 10mins before kitchen closed but they were more than happy to fulfill the order….even delivered on the extra portion of wings.

Looking for a posh restaurant, look elsewhere, this is a real local Pub. Great bar staff, friendly owners and although I didn't think it possible but the food from the new chef, Wow. My partner had Hunters Chicken. I had an amazing Steak and Ale Pie. Both meals were amazing. Great atmosphere even though only a few in the bar room at 12.30 a.m. forgot that posh restaurant, The Wackum Inn will give you a much better deal.

I don’t normally leave reviews but these guys really deserve me making the effort, you always get a warm welcome here, the food is reasonable priced but always tasty and cooked well! Their Xmas menu was amazing too, it really is a little gem of a place, everyone should at least try it, you won’t be disappointed!

My first visit,with my friend and his dog.On entering the pub you immediately notice the decor,obviously needs an refurbishment or some money spent,especially on the carpets,taking this aside we were met by very friendly bar staff who accommodated us having the dog.After being seated we were served by Michelle who couldn't be more accommodating even bringing the dog a bowl of water and a bowl of scraps.The meal a Sunday Roast of beef was superb,followed by a delicious desert,the price of the roast was £9,incredible,I know everyone has standards but for the price I got over the decor,which was superseded by the quality of the food and the top class service from Michelle,she is a star and deserves a top class wage to keep her services,I hope the landlord passes on my views to management,so in all recommended if you want a good reasonable Sunday Roast. Just a quick update for the staff,nearly 400 views on my review in 3 days,it's going to be popular ,better get some more Michells quick,good luck,Back for our second visit to see if the standard has dropped but today's meal,steak and ale pie is to die for,another update we now have over 10000 views on our Sunday Roast photo, be back soon

What a find! We love it here……Christmas for our family has been very special this year. Dec 8th and Dec 15th for my two youngest grandchildren has been made even more special by Laura. Each visit from Father Christmas followed by Sunday roast has been extra special. Warm, welcoming, friendly and happy from everyone. Me and a friend came to the wackum to watch the football and had a great time. There was a vast food menu at very good prices and the service was quick. Also, the staff were very friendly and made sure we enjoyed our time. Will be a place I think of first for all football games in the future!

We had a Sunday roast, it was spot on! Great value at £9, and the staffcouldn’t be anymore welcoming and lovely. Really warm Sunday atmosphere in there, will defo be back

Having lived near this family pub for over 30 years and having watched it change hands over time it’s gone from being an old mans smokey darts pub ( no offence meant to darts players!) to the warm welcoming family atmosphere that now exists , it’s a great place to go for good food good beer and music. If sports are your thing they have it all without it being a distraction from your visit. Damion and his wife have turned this place around and the atmosphere is excellent. Just had a great meal with some neighbours and couldn’t have felt more welcome and catered for. I don’t go to pubs often but can absolutely recommend The Wackum Inn for a good meal and night out. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit. Good food good drinks great atmosphere excellent landlords and crew. Thank you for having a community pub that caters for all.

Me and my boyfriend have been meaning to visit Wackum Inn for a while now. Really glad we did. Atmosphere's great, everyone seemed friendly. Food was good and price was not bad. Personally enjoyed the cocktails 🍹. Will for sure come back

The Sunday lunch deal is for Two is £12.80ish thats £6 and some change each.options are beef or poultry . get there early as the sunday roast sells out quickly. Child Friendly. Premiership football on many screens yet does not dominate the atmosphere.

We wanted somewhere family friendly to bring our son to watch the Euros. We looked at a few different options, but after seeing the way the pub was decorated and the videos on social media, our son decided The Wackum had to be the place. It did not disappoint! Laura, Damian and all of the staff were so welcoming and friendly and really made it special for our absolutely football crazy son. There is a dedicated family area and TV's on nearly every wall, so wherever you sit, you have a great view of the game. We have eaten there a couple of times as well. The food is typical pub grub and is great value for money. Just 1 more game to go... ....It's coming home!

I'm a NHS staff nurse I know Charlie very well the chef that is Hes been going on and on and on about me and the wife coming into his work for a bite to eat I've never trusted him to cook DoD me before lol But he twisted my arm I came in and he wasn't wrong about his steaks he always GOES on about Ordered a sirloin rare and med rare for the wife I'm really fussy with my steaks Why I never really came in Ever heard the saying never cheat on your Barbour? I've never cheated on my chef on his steaks ha But boiii can he cook a steak well rested full if flavour and juicy as anything Well done Charlie I'll tell all the Docs and nurses Highly recommended

Got advised to pop in to this pub by a few of my friends , due to the food cooked by a certain chef there ? Not really keen on steaks at all not much of a meat eater really , I listened to my friends Shanghai reviews on this places and it steaks Had to give it a go Chef Charlie lsit? Fully converted me and I've been back three times since Such kind lovely person , came out to check that the food was cooked to how we asked So kindly got to meet him Justin who else works there as a bartender is amazing as his job to I highly recommend this place and of you can to meet these staff members

I came to into this amazing family ran pub on my travles , such a brilliant atmosphere and kind staff ,i also meet one of the chefs called charlie we asked for a recomendontion for food he told us the serlion steak , as he a mean cook 🤣🤣 he stood corrected as the steaks were well rested and full of flavour i highly tell any one wanting to come here please come in you wont regret it we didnt Still thinking about the steaks now

What can I say about this pub that my star rating isn't already telling you. It's a lovely little pub on a corner of a residential area, everything about it screams cosy. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and are always so polite. I've been here a few times now and every time you get the same welcome. They really like to keep the pub enjoyable for everyone so very occasionally the staff have to deal with the behaviour of a few. They are 100% not tolerant to any kind of drug taking and will swiftly remove anyone found to be in possession or using. Thus making it a very child friendly pub too. Food here is lovely,always hot and good portions. Sunday lunch is amazing for the cost(2 for £12) definitely recommend but you will need to book a table as they get booked up really quickly. Wednesday night is burger night (beef burger/chicken burger) £5 for a burger,fries and onion rings again would recomend. Not sure if they do a vegan one. If you like a night out then this pub is great too,not only is it on a bus route(stops outside) so you can drink without drink driving but they also have some fantastic live acts on a Saturday. They do quiz night and a meat raffle raising money for Macmillan on a Sunday. Altogether I have to say that all the staff are great and I love Justin's hair(go and have a look,you can't miss him lol) he changes the colour every few weeks. If you like sports then this is the place to go too as they have several screens showing the different sports on any given day. They really get involved too which is great. They have a pool table and a dart board (there is a small table under the dart board so you have to ask to use it). The pub has a outdoor area for smokers which also has a tv so you can watch sports outside. My advice to you is pop in and have a drink,this pub is not clicky like some and the regulars are always happy to chat.

Seems quite a nice pub during the week, only on street parking though. Has a pool table and sport on tv's. Service at the bar was slow and without a smile and we have to park a long walk away! I can see that many people do have a good experience here but mine was just meh, sorry!

I'm not local but this pub truly does have the 'local' friendly vibe for all who visit, you feel included. Fabulous food, such a great variety too and Damion and Laura were the perfect hosts.

The place show they are open @ 11am and they are not so I drove 30miles for no reason so I am very pissed off

In all my years I've never been here, but I'd have to say.....what a brilliant venue. The landlord Damian was really friendly and welcoming, the food was off the charts, so so good and as for the Guinness, well let's just say you can tell that Damian keeps his cellar well!! It is amazing but the last time I went they were doing 1 burger for £5 every Wednesday but they didnt have like any of the customizable things like onion rings bacon or mozzarella sticks

Genuinely my favourite pub in Bristol. It's not hard to get to with bus route literally stopping outside. Great price, always got sport on. Don't have a bad thing to say. Would give it 6 stars if I could!

great local pub with lovely staff, amazing food and value for money. they have great vegan and vegetarian options and always a good atmosphere. the burgers are great, especially the quorn burger with add ons like hash browns and mozzerella sticks. all the staff are so accommodating and friendly and management is amazing. they have a good range of entertainment, sports, karaoke, pub quizzes and jukebox nights alongside live music. a great community pub and a lovely place to spend an evening !
