Sunday Roast like no other. Oh my! It was amazing. Every item on the platter was cooked to perfection. Beautiful ingredients, amazing gravy and generous portions. Lamb rump, chicken, pork and crackling. Cauliflower and broccoli cheese, and honey-roasted carrots. Roast potatoes were so good! It was HUGE! Beautiful dining rooms, great wines and warm, kind and attentive service. Memorable and faultless. We had such a wonderful time. This place is exceptional. It stands out as one of this area’s finest. We’ve had such a great lunch.

Stunning meal at The Parsonage this evening. The ambiance and setting are both beautiful and welcoming. The staff are superb! So kind and caring. The dining areas are gorgeous and the tables are set beautifully. Fabulous menu and drinks list. This is a bistro of the highest quality. Superb ingredients prepared expertly into delectable dishes. French bistro chic, British dishes par excellence! It’s all so good. Steaks are awesome! Duck dishes are tremendous…french style most definitely! My seafood starter was out of Le touquet! Stunning! The smoked haddock “smokie” is English fayre at its best! Every dish was perfect. You can find good wines to accompany your dish. Oh! parsonage! You’re ever so good at this. Thank you! This place is superb!!!! Every time I go, I feel better about life!

Probably the best restaurant in Worthing. Most places are best described as brassieries or bistros these days. This is a proper restaurant. Good space around the tables, excellent service and really first class food. Harvey's Old Ale is also superb. It's nice to be able to buy a good ale in a restaurant, not just an over-chilled, bottled, light ale, masquerading as an modern IPA. Highly recommended.

We go at least once a month, the food is always delicious, and usually too much, but they don't mind wrapping up excess meat for my cats. In particular their 'Special Lunches' are to die for, although the ordinary lunches are very good too. If you get the chancer to go for the Christmas dinner do so, so yummy.

We went for Lunch with my Sister In Law and her Husband. The food was lovely, as usual. All of us enjoyed our choices immensely. A lovely meal, and they let you take home a 'catty' bag of leftover meat, I can never finish a meal, Nouveau Cuisine they are not. Portions are hearty. The food is exquisite. My stepson had finished his exams. We wanted to treat him to dinner. He asked to go to the Parsonage as he wanted to try the meat sharing platter…sharing with his younger brother in the hope that he would not eat much and leave him a huge amount! As we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth. We immediately felt welcome. Such a genuine warmth. It was a balmy evening and therefore we were shown to our table which was in the charming courtyard garden. We had time to peruse the menu and choose some wine and drinks for the boys. We weren’t planning on starters, but the menu was too tempting! They were delicious. The boys opted for garlic bread. They said it was the best they had ever had! Main courses were plentiful and delicious. The sharing platter is AMAZING! It’s huge, high-quality ingredients and perfectly prepared and cooked. The boys loved it! Their Mum had a fillet steak with peppercorn sauce and I thoroughly enjoyed the rump of lamb. Faultless and delightful. We enjoyed the Rosé wines from the menu. Perfect on a warm evening. The boys were happy with iced soft drinks (of course). The lovely staff checked in on us from time to time…perfection as far as attentive service is concerned. They get it right. Every member of staff is talented in hospitality and customer care. I was so impressed with the authentic kindness and care. They wanted us to have a great night and we absolutely did! We were replete. No space for dessert. I did enjoy an aged port however. Delicious! We had a truly wonderful evening. Memorable…just what we wanted for this milestone celebration. The Parsonage is excellent. It’s outstanding. It can offer an informal lunch or supper or an experience for a special occasion. It really is a chic Bistro Restaurant offering outstanding food and impeccable service. You feel at home and you always eat well there. My stepson said that the food was “Leng”… Let me translate: LENG: is a word that describes something SUPER attractive. It's a leveled up version of peng and both words are roadman slang, used on the streets of Britain. It can be used for males, female, or even inanimate objects, or just to describe something that's reaaaaalllly good. If you want to use leng, then the thing/person has to REALLY REALLY be attractive.

What a fantastic place to have a meal or just a drink. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were amazing. Our daughter took us there when we visited her and what a great treat it was. We ate outside in a courtyard garden which had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and relaxed, whilst being absolute professionals. They took the experience to another level. The food was , as I have already stated, incredible. My daughter and I had the dressed crab which was perfectly presented and soooo delicious. My wife had the plowman’s and what a fantastic feast that was. The food alone would give this restaurant a 5star rating but add to this, the wonderful atmosphere and incredible, happy staff and it makes it an experience and very memorable.

The food was fantastic, the Sussex Smokie was yum with a decadent cheese and Spring Onion sauce, very filling. My Lamb shank was beautifully tender, and moist, crispy, fluffy roast potatoes, perfectly al dente seasonal veg, and the most delicious gravy. Te Eton Mes was lovely too - I tasted my Husbands. I do need to mention the people, attentive without being overly so, friendly, professional and polite. Would thoroughly recommend.

A lovely little spot in the village of Tarring north of Worthing. The staff were all lovely especially the young man who lives locally and knows much about the Grade II listed building, its origins and the surrounding streets. I had the haddock gratin, which is listed as a starter, but as a main with crusty French bread. It was delicious. I was further delighted to find Baked Alaska on the menu which I have not had for decades. Though the sponge base was a little hard and dry, the Italian meringue, raspberries, strawberries and coulis garnish were gorgeous. Such a treat!

We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The welcome was so warm and kind. We enjoyed an aperitif in the gorgeous courtyard garden and were given time to peruse the menu. The menu is intelligent. It offers a wide array of dishes…from the more traditional formal courses to others more informal and relaxed. It’s rather like a French Bistro. Modern and unpretentious. I like that…a lot! We enjoyed a refreshingly crisp and dry rosé in the alfresco area. We then were asked for our orders and our table was prepared in response to our choices. Our table was lovely. Situated in a small room in the upstairs area of this historic building. The table was a good size…quite rare these days. Lovely table light…cloth napkins and crystalline glasses. We ordered the Wiston Rosé…we love this wine. I’ve cold…Ice bucket…fabulous. Starters were divine and generous. Crumbed Brie for Jane and Gravadlax salmon for me…gin and juniper infused in house, I believe. Wow! We were deeply impressed. We then went for the shared platter…Rump steaks, lamb rump, ribs, king prawns, onion rings, chips and Caesar Salad with red wine sauce and peppercorn sauce. Cooked to perfection. Quality of meat was exceptional. Salad was fresh and refreshing. Sauces were awesome. We were replete! Completely satisfied. Very impressed. Even so, we shared a Baileys Crème Brûlée. Outstanding! We finished our meal with two espresso martinis. This whole experience was wonderful! Food was faultless and completely delicious. Service was superb! Kind, warm, friendly and authentic. The atmosphere across the restaurant was electric. This place is extraordinarily good. It’s rare to get it ALL right. They did and they do. I love it here…I really do. It’s ever so good….every time! Thank you, Team Parsonage. We cannot thank you enough.

Such an interesting building, puts a smile on your face immediately as you duck slightly to clear the door! From the little bar areas, quirky staircases ( for which I would recommend ladies who have larger feet, ditch the heels!) taking you to delightful dining areas. The staff are all friendly and fun, and able to tell you the history of this amazing building. More importantly our food! Our choices were Lamb, Seabass which were both delicious, the fish in particular was just beautiful. Chocolate Brownies and crumble our desserts absolutely yum! Being Celiac it’s always a concern dining out and menus often restricted but not here! Great wine too, all at a pleasantly reasonable cost.

This visit was a let down in a few places. I was amongst a group of people, some of which had been to The Parsonage before and raved about it and others like myself, we’re highly anticipating the evening to come having heard and read such good reviews. It’s worth mentioning first, what a charming building it is. Completely on the piss, qwerky and creeky and nothing about the building was symmetrical, with black 19th century wooden beams being a regular feature throughout. For Harry Potter fans, imagine a building in Diagon Alley. When you enter, it’s like walking into Ron Weasley’s front room, with a roaring fire to your right and a quaint little bar tucked down the end of the room. We were shown to our table by a lovely waitress, which was to be the start of what can only be described as fantastic hospitality from start to finish. We were made to feel very welcome, and again, we were placed in a room that felt very Harry Potter like. I was actually surprised the table wasn’t rocking about as the floor was on a slant, so top marks to the staff for that. The food unfortunately didn’t stack up to the great feeling of hospitality that the setting and waitresses create. The sharer starter of ribs and chicken wings felt and tasted like they were prepped a considerable amount of time before service, which was backed up by the fact that it arrived about 5 minutes after ordering. It wasn’t particularly memorable but wasn’t terrible either, and for £12 I think was a bit of a push for 4 small chicken wings and 4 small ribs, the latter of which could have had more meat on. I paid £30 for a 12oz rib eye, which came with a few thick chips, a roasted flat mushroom and a raw tomato which had a cross cross slit on the top, indicating that it was probably meant to be roasted down. I also ordered some honey roasted carrots to share with somebody else. The menu states that the steaks are 28 day aged. Unfortunately for this restaurant, I happen to known aged beef when I taste it and this definitely was not aged beef. If the restaurant believes this is the case, then they need to check with their supplier. There is a distinct tasting profile of aged beef which I have become accustomed to over the years, being that I’ve eaten meat all over the world and continue to eat steak about 2 times a week. 110% not aged beef. I cannot fault the cooking of the steak, which was a perfect medium, it was the quality of the steak that was absolutely terrible and let it down and nothing was seasoned. This was unanimous across 3 of us that decided to order the steak. The carrots had no honey on them that we could taste, just boiled sliced carrots with a scattering of parsley. Weird. Otherwise, as previously alluded too, the hospitality was second to none and you would be happy with this level of service wherever you went. The young, blonde waitress was very good although we saw her getting a bit of stick from an older waitress from time to time, perhaps her mentor or someone more senior. Let this stand as reassurance that you did a great job, and that as far as we were all concerned you couldn’t have done anything better. So this feels like a good place to leave it. In summary, you won’t be disappointed by the staff or the setting, but certainly for steaks you will find better quality and value at miller and carter in lancing.

Look, in Worthing there a lot of places to eat, and most are pretty good. It’s when you find a place that does excellent food, but appreciates it’s the overall experience that makes or breaks the meal, that’s the place to go back to. They couldn’t have done more for us, my partner is a vegan (I know right!), and not only do they have a specific vegan menu, but they were happy to tailor it for her. What ever she wanted, if they had the ingredients then they would do their best to conjure up what combination she wanted, (she ordered off the comprehensive vegan menu though with no need for changes!) but how many places offer that flexibility? What more can I say - I’m easy, I had their fillet steak and it was perfect, which sounds like so what, but many “steak specific” restaurants can’t cook their flagship dish to anything recognisable as medium rare. I’ve been here for drinks before a few times, which it’s also is a nice place for, but will eat here many more times after today’s experience. Oh, and they have an excellent selection of beers on tap, a big gin selection, and maybe the coolest automatic bins in the loos! Basically, go here.

We visited the Parsonage for Saturday dinner. It is an absolute gem. The surroundings, the staff and the delicious food absolute perfection. We visit the Parsonage regularly for drinks and have been lucky enough to sit in their lovely courtyard garden during the beautiful summer but this is the first time we have eaten in the restaurant and so very pleased we did!The restaurant is upstairs and in spite of being quite busy it was quiet and intimate with subdued lighting. It reminded me of a private dining room of a top class London hotel. The service was impeccable and efficient and the dishes were faultless. Salt and pepper squid starter, Steak delicious and perfectly cooked and presented and my calves liver was out of this world. Warren the proprietor actually asking, when ordering, how I wished it cooked. An absolute first and really appreciated! Thank you so much for an amazingly enjoyable evening.Aaron and Peny

My wife and I took my mum for lunch here after we found the usual bistro we visit near her flat was not doing lunches. The landlord was very helpful during the phone booking, and this continued during our visit, with good advice on the vegetable selection and portion sizes. The menu was imaginative (somewhat rare in the Worthing area) and the food very well presented: service was attentive without being intrusive and the prices very attractive for the quality provided; happily, we found parking in the street without problems and certainly intend to make more visits (Mum was very impressed) A wonderful introduction to an area we'd not been acquainted with, apart from driving though.

From the moment we rang to book, Wayne couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. He organised a special preordered meal, was flexible with menu choices, and opened some spectacular wines. The starters were fabulous, deep fried brie, mushroom with bacon and blue cheese, prawns and squid, all delicious. For mains, our fillet steaks were cooked perfectly, the sauces flavoursome and chips perfect. The special Lobster was amazing. To finish, the desserts were all shared and finished, somehow we found space, they were so good! The staff were attentive and polite and surroundings perfect, with our own room, to meet with the social distancing requirements. We'll definitely be back.

Whole experience excellent. We have ordered before and had the seafood platter and were so impressed. This time we opted for the meat platter. From ordering to delivery everything is really good. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Parsonage. The meat platter was delicious and the portion size was very generous.

We were growing weary of the usual takeaway meals during lockdown, and wanted a 'proper meal'. The Parsonage met our needs perfectly for quality, quantity, value for money and service. My husband had the Lamb Shank and I had the Breast of Chicken, both of which were excellent, followed by the Raspberry Fool and Mango Cheesecake, which were also excellent.Food arrived exactly on time and mains were piping hot, and all was very well packaged and presented. You obviously can't beat the ambiance etc of dining in the actual Parsonage restaurant itself, which was always a lovely experience before lockdown arrived, but they have managed to bring their wonderful food, delivered conveniently to your door instead.Very Well Done to all the brilliant staff at 'The Parsonage'. Would highly recommend anybody to try for themselves.

This was our first family meal since the coronavirus lock down, so we had a home delivery and had a socially distanced meal in the garden. It was a very good meal , with generous portions and timely delivery. The vegetables were excellent.

Due to lockdown my fathers days meal was delivered to my house. My son and I had the lamb shank with potatoes and vegetables. My wife had the confit duck leg with Cumberland sausage. The food arrived well packed and arrived hot. The lamb shank was very well cooked bad the meat fell off the bone. The vegetables were well cooked. The confit duck leg was brilliant and well received. For pudding we had the mango cheese cake with a hint of ginger. Raspberry Coulis was brilliant.Overall the food was brilliant and well received.

This is one of our favourite places to eat, whether in the cosy restaurant as a couple or with friends or for one of their excellent value and delicious lunches (in the garden with the dog when it is fine). During lockdown they have set up a great delivery service of some of their best dishes from their lunchtime menu and their fantastic seafood platter. Their chips are to die for. Delivered to your front door, piping hot at a very reasonable price. Includes vegetarian dishes - our favourite being their haloumi and giant, flat mushroom burgers. Can't wait for it to open again to try their full menu again but in the meantime are enjoying trying all the items on the menu in turn. Some delicious desserts too.

We have eaten at the restaurant for over 25 years. When lockdown was imposed, it took just one week for the Parsonage to start a delivery service. We have had delivery several times, trying various items from the menu, all were good and delivered with a smile and good ale. It was my wifes birthday this weekend, so we ordered the Seafood Platter and Ginger&Mango cheesecake. Both were excellent- usual quality you expect from The Parsonage.

An absolutely fantastic seafood platter was delivered for our anniversary dinner. Thought we would try a delivery as we couldn't eat out. The whole process from phoning the order through to the delivery was excellent. Everyone very helpful and friendly. The seafood platter was wonderful, all of it delicious and a generous portion. The mango and ginger cheesecake was also a big hit. We were very impressed. Also excellent value.

We had eaten at the Parsonage Restaurant before, but as it was closed we decided to try their delivery service for my husband's birthday meal. We ordered 4 meals which consisted of 2 beefburger meal, 1 Macaroni Cheese and 1 Haddock and Chips. An easy and pleasant ordering service. The food arrived. Great delivery of hot, delicious and very filling food. We would definately be using this service again. Hopefully when the restaurant is up and running, the delivery service will still be available!

My parents paid for us to have Wedding Anniversary meal from them tonight. And also to thank my husband who has been caring for me for 9 weeks with Covid. (I'm not infectious anymore don't worry !! ). The food was delicious, huge portions of chicken and the dessert (Sticky Toffee) was divine. We will definitely be visiting you when you reopen and I'm sure get another delivery. Customer service great too, thankyou so much. It was a great experience.

Have just finished a delicious meal. We ordered burger and breast of chicken in peppercorn sauce, both with fries. Plus a sticky toffee pudding to share. The delivery arrived about 10 mins before allotted time and was delivered with safety very much in mind. Everything was packaged nicely and was delivered piping hot (something I often fail to achieve at home!). Our thanks to The Parsonage, well done and we will certainly order for next week.

With the restaurant having to close due to COVID-19, the staff have opted to provide a take-away service and I have to say it is almost as good as eating in the restaurant. There's a good choice of mains, two puddings and drinks; I highly recommend the chicken curry.

We were intending to visit the Parsonage in person before the lockdown, so were so pleased to support the takeaway service. Such a great idea. Food was amazing. Curry, meatballs and two lots of chicken with peppercorn sauce with sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie.Food delivered piping hot, still not sure how that was achieved as I dish up and cant get it that hot! Really good quality. Puddings were delish! Thank you for making lockdown bearable!
